He’s enigmatic. Gorgeous. Bossy.
Oh, and did she mention he comes as a package deal?

Grouchy. Stern. Protective.
There’s no way she can handle two dominant, commanding, overprotective Daddy Doms.
Not happening.

If you follow Laylah Roberts’ MC Daddies series, you probably already met Steele and Grady at Pinkies.
I certainly have, and i’ve been wondering about these two for a while now.
Lucky for me,Laylah decided to give me the ARC of their story, and having read it,i know i’m very happy with where they are now!

Effie has been struggling with life for a long time now.
Being a lonely Little taking care of “her nephew” Brooks is taking it’s toll, and losing her job only makes it worse.
Her bestie April knows a solution, though….but Effie’s not sure her back will agree.
Poledancing at Pinkies may sound ok,she always loved to dance, but she’d had trouble ever since that accident.
And guess what….her audition turns into the disaster she’d feared it would!
But what happens next?
That could turn into the most beautiful dream she’d ever have…..if she were an attractive woman.
The opportunity to work for not one,but two gorgeous men was too good to pass, and she took the offer straight away.

Grady didn’t know what hit him when he saw Effie audition, but he wasn’t going to allow her to slip away after she hurt herself. Offering her the job as his assistant was the first thing he could think of to keep her close, because she clearly needed one, badly.
Seeing Steele’s interest in her gave him hope for the future, but he had to be sure he was serious.
Because even though he’d wanted Steele for a very long time,he wasn’t going to do anything to harm Effie…..she was too sweet, too caring, too….everything he never knew he’d find in a woman.
And the longer he knew her,the more he was convinced she was perfect for them.

Steele never let a woman close, not since his sister’s death.
A Little girl of his own was not for him…..until he saw the woman that had Grady acting like he’d never done before.
Effie stirred something in him he’d thought he’d lost forever.
And he wanted more….but how to get it?
Once he’d talked to Grady,he knew they’d be fools to ever let her go.

Moving forward, giving her time to adjust was hard though….but she needed it,not just for herself, but for Brooks, too.
That boy needed to see they were serious about his aunt,as well as him.
Luckily,he was a bright kid that knew what they could be for Effie. And he approved.

If only there weren’t problems lurking around the corner…..and people that would do anything to sabotage the good these 4 had found with eachother.
Bad things lay ahead, and it would take strenght, determination and familiar friends to get them to a well deserved happy after.

This was a story that i’ve enjoyed very much,a story that’s written in the style that Laylah is so very good at.
She gives her people the love they need so badly, shows them the road towards the bright future they were longing for.
And she does it with such care, such a tender hand….
Leaving me with a heart filled with the love she so generously shares.

There is a reason I am a die-hard fan of Ms. Roberts, particularly this series. She has a descriptive writing style that never fails to touch me. She weaves complex friendships into romance and in this story, you get three relationships for the price of one. One of the main reasons that I was drawn to this book was Effie and her dramatic humor, but there was also the unique connection between Effie, Grady, and Steele. Effie was hilarious and had me laughing out loud, but there were times that I had tears in my eyes. I loved that she spent so much time in little space. If anyone needed babying it was Effie. She had the weight of the world on her shoulders taking care of her nephew.

My heart ached for these three as past trauma had affected them in different ways. Grady was immediately attracted to Effie. He was fixated on control and liked his list. Steele shied away from ever having a relationship, especially having his own little one, and Effie had poor self-esteem and body image. I would have liked to have smacked her Nan a time or two.

I found the bond between these three captivating. Steele and Grady had been friends since childhood and their silent dialogue was unique, but they had hidden their feelings for each other deeply so as to not ruin their friendship. Each of the men had a different relationship with Effie. Grady was immediately attracted to Effie and had a protective streak a mile-long while Steele was not one to show his emotions until Effie shattered his barrier. Then there was the relationship between the three of them. They had unique and contrasting personalities but they fitted together seamlessly.

This story is made all the better by reading the previous books in this series in order. The secondary characters fit together to form a complete puzzle. I hope that Baron and Royal get their own story and I enjoyed the appearance of the Fox.

Plot is really silly and doesn’t make sense in places. Then there’s huge amount of spelling mistakes, & no speech marks when people are talking.

Why is it when you’re really looking forward to a book release, that it’s really really bad. I didn’t enjoy the beginning, the middle was really good, then the plot went crazy! Too many different plots squeezed into 555 pages. Baddies turn into goodies, plots that didn’t make any sense, and were never explained why. Loads and loads of spelling mistakes, and conversations without speech marks. I don’t understand how it’s so bad!

One of the other problems with this book is that it’s FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE PAGES LONG! 😱 I’m sorry and I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but it’s way too long. I think the author got bored as well, as the writing deteriorated so much. Whole sentences didn’t make sense. In one part Steele is thinking, then in the middle of his thoughts, he starts talking and there’s no speech marks!! The spelling deteriorates massively as well. I was playing guess the word in the end!!! 😡😡

The plot. Oh boy, the plot wasn’t great either. Effie is bringing up her nephew on her own, and life is a struggle for her. Effie makes some very bizarre decisions in her life. To go from being a store manager to auditioning as a dancer/stripper when she’s got a really bad back, really doesn’t make sense. While she’s auditioning she meets Grady, who is the manager of Steeles businesses and Steeles best friend.

Effie is a little, (A very annoying little, she got on my nerves with her I’s not tired!) Steele is a daddy dom and Grady is a dom. While she’s working for Grady as a his assistant, Steele and Grady decide they want her. I didn’t feel the chemistry with these three at all. The sex scenes were really rushed and I didn’t feel any connection to the three characters.

Finally there’s Grady and Steeles relationship. I didn’t feel any chemistry with them either. It feels like the writer just added it in the book.

I didn’t enjoy it and I’m sorry, as I’ve loved some of this authors books.

What a great book to bring us back to the MC Daddies series!

I ADORED Effie! She is the most adorable and funniest Little, she made me laugh and smile non-stop throughout the book. She definitely needed two Daddies, that's for sure!

I appreciated the representation of an "older" Little with some physical health issues/struggles...it made the story more relatable to me as someone who fits that demographic.

Grady and Steele were both very much alpha males...and the dynamic between them was not simple by any stretch and it was fun to watch the layers unfold throughout the story, and watch Effie nudge things in the right direction.

Getting some Royal and Baron "sightings" in this book was a hoot just like I expected. They are going to be trouble and give The Fox a run for his money, just watch! Their brilliantly devious shenanigans and their love for their Ma and care for Brooks' Mom" made them a force to be reckoned with...and reminded me SO much of the Weasley twins from the Harry Potter series!

I loved the various characters that showed up from previous books, Millie & Spike, The Fox, and the twins...this helps me really feel like this is an ever-evolving/growing world.

Not to be forgotten, Brooks...I think we'll see him again, I see some very Daddy tendencies in this young man, and I loved how much he loved Auntie Effie...and how much he respected Steele and Grady.

- an MMF age play romance! single guardian, workplace romance, forced proximity, found family!
- oh sweet we’ve got STRIPPERS
- GRADY’S IN LOVE WITH STEELE?!
- i did get second hand embarrassment from Effie’s audition
- love the nicknames they both gave her!!
- Brooks is so sweet🥺
- i need to know why she doesn’t eat things beginning with S….
- first time i’ll say this in a Laylah Roberts book, i think they went too slow 😂😂
- Lucy you cunt omg
- i know her saying she’s ‘leaking’ is supposed to be cute but just think it sounds like she’s always on her period
- really loved their love confessions!!
- VERY good sex scenes!!
- oh damn okay, car crash scene!!!
- we got a Millie scene 🥰🥰🥰
- it took WAY TOO LONG for Grady and Steele to get together
- but i do like how it went, especially because Grady instigated it
- all of the Little scenes were so frickin cute
- watching Grady’s character development was 100% my fav, from being nervous/scared to touch her to not even hesitating to show his love was amazing!!!
- i do think the end was rushed, it was an almost 600 page book but the third act conflict and all the drama✨ was like 30 pages?
- and it was all talked to us and not actually shown, so it was a bit like ‘oh okay..’
- BUT WE DID GET FOXXYYYYYYYY (let’s reread those 3 beauts)
- EFFIE’S BIRTHDAY PRESENT 🥵🥵🥵
- i love Brooks so much, he’s my fav bean ever
- great epilogue!! i really really enjoyed this, but tbh Laylah can do no wrong x

This book was Totally Worth the Wait ❤️❤️ Effie is a positive thinking little raising her best friends son. All three were in a car accident which killed her friend and also gave Effie a crippling back injury but luckily did not hurt the little boy whose name is Brooks. He is now 16 and Effie has lost her job and she is desperate for money so she is going to audition to dance at Pinkies the strip club owned by Damon Steel and Thomas Grady both men are extremely handsome and somewhat cold Doms and are involved in things that are not totally within the law. Let’s just say the interview brings Effie to the attention of Thomas Grady, and he becomes intrigued when steel meets Effie He realizes that she is exactly his type, beautiful, curvy, and a little ….and then the story begins. Enjoy you are going to love it.🥰

Gosh this was my most anticipated book Laylah Roberts has written. Grady and Steele are such a great team. Effie is the perfect piece missing in Grady and Steeles life. After interviewing for a job where Grady swoops in and helps Effiecafter she hurt herself, he was drawn to Effie from the start and so was Steele. This story is everything you could want in a book, its got sweetness with a side of Dominant bossy men who love fiercely once they decide they are all in. Effie is the perfect women for both them. Loved this book so much!!!

CW: Mild Age Play, CNC, Off page violence

Full Disclosure: I received an ARC copy from the author.

This is the 11th full book in the MC Daddies series. The trope is one that Ms.Roberts does well Grumpy/Sunshine. This is mostly a MFM novel that only has MM scenes at the very end.

Unlike her previous books there are not a lot of side characters that you want to know about. A few of the series regulars pop up to add continuity. This book is in no way dark or Mafia light. In fact this story could work without any mention of them being up to illegal activities.

Damon Steele, Thomas Grady et Effie Stevenson (35 ans)
Daddy dom, baby girl
Daddies Mc #11

.

Où tu m'as mis ?"

.

Every time I think that I've just finished reading my favorite Laylah Roberts novel, I fall in love with her latest one, just as I did with Daddies' Captive, the 11th title in her MC Daddies series. Quite simply, it's an addictive 5-star read, and I absolutely loved it.

First, the triggers--Ms. Roberts writes DD/lg novels, and in this one we also have two MMF/MFM relationships, so if on-screen menage and/or homosexual relationships are issues for you, this is not the book for you. In addition there is off-screen bullying and violence as well, so you've been warned.

Effie Stevenson, our heroine, is a 35-year-old Little, although she reallly hasn't figured herself out yet. She's struggling to keep a roof over her head, as well as caring for and raising 16-year-old Brooks, her smart and sweet nephew, but as the novel opens she's just lost her last job, money is short, and since she's always loved to dance, she decides to audition as a dancer at a strip club owned by two gorgeous men and I'm so glad we finally get to learn more about Steele and Grady, the club owners, who've been mentioned in previous novels. Effie, raised by her now deceased and uber-critical Nan, has always loved to dance, but has low self-esteem and is severely self-concious about her body, but for her nephew, she gets up her nerve and gives the audition a try.

Due to a previous injury from an auto accident, Effie's back seizes when she reaches for the strippers' pole, and she falls to the floor in pain, but she is soon rescued by Grady, one of the club owners, who was watching in the shadows, and who was instantly attracted to her. When Steele, the other club owner, arrives on the scene, he too is taken by Effie's sweetness and her looks, and as Steele is a Daddy Dom, he soon recognizes that Effie is a Little, and he's every bit as attracted to her as was Grady. It's obvious to both of these gorgeous, dominant men that they can't hire Effie as a stripper because of her back injury, so they hire her as an assistant, and thus their romance begins, and Ms. Roberts tops the list as my favorite author of DD/lg romances because you can't help falling in love with her sweet, funny, adorably charming, Little heroines, or her sexy, hunky, protective Daddy Doms.

In addition to the romance between these three memorable characters, there's even more drama ahead when Brooks' absentee birth mother decides she wants to gain custody of Brooks, when one of the strip clubs' employees attempts to gaslight Effie, and when Brooks runs into trouble with bullies at his school, not to mention a near-fatal attempt on Effie's life.

But this novel is about more than just sex and drama, because Effie's thoughts, comments, outbursts, and shenanigans are also laugh-out-loud funny, and to top it all off, there's a surprise appearance by one of Ms. Roberts' most enigmatic and mysterious characters--what a treat! And here's hoping that two of Brooks' classmates and protectors, Baron and Royal, brothers who are introduced in this novel, means that they will eventually and hopefully reappear as heroes in a spinoff series of MC Daddies: The Next Generation.

All in all, Daddies' Captive is a wonderful, emotional, funny, sad, charming, and addictive read, and I'm very happy to recommend it.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.

A simply wonderful addition to this wonderful series, great characters and scenario that will captivate

Effie has not had an easy life and things have been going really hard as she is raising her best friend’s son Brooks and unfortunately is desperately trying to find another job. They are living on her savings and Books is a bright kid who keeps on offering to leave school and start working to help but Effie would never let him give up his scholarship he is too bright and has too much to offer to the world.

She hears that there are some jobs dancing at Pinkie’s and she knows that this will have to do until she can find something else, as one of the bosses Grady watches her on stage he is mesmerised, he has never known a feeling like it so when she suddenly collapses, he is shocked and steps in to help care for her

Steele is shocked when he hears about what has happened and even more so when he discovers that Grady has offered Effie a job as his personal assistant, when he first meets her, he is struck by her brightness and honesty and how much she cares for those around her he is a little taken aback by the feelings he has for this tiny tornado that has come into both his and Grady’s life.

Effie is doing well at Pinkies she enjoys her job on the whole and most of the staff are just doing their best to earn a living but there are always those that like to rock the boat and as the interaction between Grady and Steele begin to become more than simply employee and employer, they realise exactly what difficulties she is dealing with and are shocked.

When there is an accident and both Grady and Effie are hurt Steele is beside himself to think that he may have actually lost the only two people he cared for and knows that this can never happen again. Brooks is shocked about Effie being hurt and tells both men quite plainly that his Aunty is the only person he has in the world and if anyone hurts her, as she is very special, he will find a way to get back at them no matter what it takes.

Without wanting to give away too much about the individuals the things they have experienced have made them hard and closed off and the one person that has steadily opened their hearts has been Effie and Brooks.

I guarantee that when you begin reading this book you will not be able to put it down till you reach the final page

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

3.5 stars.

This book is HEAVY on the Little part. Like chapters and chapters of little space, so much time spent on her being childlike and them caring for her. Which is fine if you want to read that but honestly I don't need a play by play of the colouring and swaddling and dress up. You legitimately wonder how she managed like a decade without being a little at all when she basically seems to be one at every minor inconvenience and whenever given any opportunity.

The plot? It's not really a plot it's just something that happens to say it happened, it's all magically solved by the Fox and life moves on.

I needed less "Alpha Men" "a total Alpha man" "oh ya, he's growing into an Alpha Man for sure". We get it. They are dominant men. But dominant men don't call themselves dominant constantly.

But what really irked me was the MM aspect. The build up to the men's relationship was good, and there was a potential for just a really romantic and passionate relationship for them. But instead it's just relegated to how they can make her happy. Even their first time having sex, they are focusing on her birthday and even move positions so she can enjoy it better. There is no discussion of the public-ness of it, or allowance for those first moments to be important or special. It's really frustrating. Clearly a fetishism of MM relationships for the straight female reader.

Anyways it had been a while since I'd read Laylah Roberts for a reason, so that I'd enjoy the Daddy Dom escapism for what it was. And I love MMF especially when it's a discovery.

Quite a few typos and grammatical errors/extra words/etc.

Something felt missing.

First, this wasn't an MC book. It had some bikers cameo later in the story, but it was more of a mafia book. The details weren't clear but the guys had some legit businesses and some not, and there was no talk of changing that. Grady and Steele have a scary reputation and can make people shut-up, or just disappear (they call their clean up crew at one point). I have to admit I put off getting this book because of the cover pic. At first glance, she looks like a weightlifter. You have to look closer to see she's just "curvy", and it's the guys muscles you're seeing. I'm not into women bodybuilders, sorry. Anyway, after reading the story she does have size nine feet so she's not tiny and petite, which is a nice change. Effie has some big emotional baggage and a physical problem, but is quite loving and caring. Everyone loves Effie. The reason for the three stars is the emotional need between the men. The first sex scene- Grady barely participates and then leaves. Even though they supposedly work it out later- their relationship seemed scripted/forced and that kind of overrode the ending for me. Maybe because they're both dominants. And the ending got complicated and confusing. The Fox does make an appearance but again, a little confusing. Even though I liked the plot and the main characters, and her son, something just seemed missing to me. But that's on me. Sorry. Hopefully, the next book is great!

I love Laylah! She can do basically nothing wrong in my book. There were things about the story that I absolutely loved and things that I didn’t. I loved it overall - especially Steele and Grady!

I don’t want to harp on the ‘didn’t’, but it’s a short list. Effie is strong enough to be a mom to her ex’s son, but she slips into little space so much it’s almost a wonder how. Also, the ex(?) That relationship was so complicated that it felt it was unnecessarily complicated. And finally, I wanted a clearer conflict. It was cleared up with so mainly conversation. I wanted more action.

That said, here’s what I loved -

Brooks - Effie’s ‘son’ was seriously wonderful and is going to be an awesome Dom one day.
Baron and Royal - I cannot WAIT for these two to get their little.
Steele and Grady - I absolutely loved their relationship!
Pinkies - I want to go to this club.
Cameos - We got to see the Fox, Spike and Millie, and so many more. I loved the glimpses.
Jelly beans - I loved all of the jelly beans
…and last but not least - somnophilia! It wasn’t as intense as it could of been, but getting a taste of sleepy time naughty time is absolutely wonderful!

Overall, do I recommend? Absolutely. If you’re a massive Laylah fan like I am, you will definitely enjoy this one. If you’re into ageplay books it’s definitely one to add to the TBR! 4 stars. 3 chili peppers. Enjoy!

I nearly gave up early into the book. The funny and fast-paced dialogue saved it and round it up (just) to 3 stars.

There's a lot to love about Laylah Robert's work but I struggle with the constant FMC self-esteem issues that crop up. Especially when they consider themselves fat/overweight when they're not- that in itself isn't the issue because unfortunately, women do struggle with this- but then you add the persistent narrative that the MMC's push that they aren't fat and they shouldn't call themselves fat because fat is 'bad'. Or that they like 'curves' and act like that is enough plus size rep. This is a complicated topic but we're 11 books in and it would be really nice to have some actual positive fat/plus size rep, where it's not just another small women that the MMC can carry everywhere who thinks badly about their size.

There are some great standouts in this series but there are so many similarities as well, it's more often than not the same dynamic (I'm not talking little/daddy) but little's come in all shapes and sizes and personalities and so many of these installments feel so repetitive (especially when they're nearly always over 500 pages at this point). BTW I find it hard to believe that nearly all these women don't like veg or fruit, it just makes it start to feel a bit fake.

I've loved every Laylah Roberts book since I discovered her several years ago. From the first, her stories made me laugh and smile and with this book, the 10th of her MC Daddies series, I was laughing so much. Effie, the heroine, is an older "Little" who happens to be raising her nephew, Brooks. Just know that now I want a story for Brooks when he gets older. LOL. Grady finds Effie first and she is very down on her luck. She's trying to land a job as the "stripper" club that Steele owns and Grady works for. From the start, I know that the guys were burying their feelings for each other. Of course, we can't just have a nice romantic book from Ms. Roberts because there is always some drama going on. OW drama, drama from Steele not wanting to get involved with Effie and still denying his feelings for Grady. Once he finally admitted to how he felt about Effie, you know it's only a matter of time before other things start happening! The drama never seems to be far behind. I loved the sneak peeks of Royal, Baron, Spike and.....................................Fox!!!! This was such a wonderful story and I've already read it again. It's just that good! You need to hop on over to Amazon and pick this baby up!

I have been waiting for Grady and Steele's book and it did not disappoint. Life has been tough on Ellie. When is fired from her last job she decides to apply for a job at Pinkies, she is out of her league. Grady has secretly had a thing for Steele, but has never acted on it. When Ellie stumbles while performing at Pinkies, he immediately takes over. Steele has been closed off ever since his sister was murdered, but it seems that both he and Grady are attracted to Ellie. When Grady offers her a job it makes her off limits to them both. Ellie needs her job as she has a teenager she is responsible for. When Grady and Steele make their interest know it puts Elle at odds with Lucy who has a thing for Steele. When they realize Ellie's life is in danger, they are done waiting. The chemistry between these three was off the chain. There were appearances from the gang from previous books that made this book even better. Overall, this was an engaging read and I cannot wait for the next installment.

Daddies’ Captive is the eleventh book of the MC Daddies series of interconnected standalones. We finally have Steele and Grady’s story! And it is everything I wanted and more with these two! They are dominant, gruff, protective and sexy as sin! Effie is trying her best to raise her teen nephew but things aren’t going so well. She finds a job at a strip club but once Grady and Steele see her they don’t want to let her go. I loved these three together and the way they are all there for each other. There are some emotional parts that had me tearing up and had my heart breaking for them each for different reasons. There were also many laughs throughout the story. I loved that we get to see some of our favorite characters from past books too! I can’t wait for more of this series and hope we get a new generation series in the future because I was Brooks, Baron, and Royal’s stories!

I just adored this story, and of course its Effie who is the stand out character who really has everyones attention. While she has all good intentions she gets herself into a little bit of trouble. She has a 16 year old going on 40 that she is struggling to look after and making ends meet.
But that all ends when she meets Grady and Steele, they certainly have met their match and although she is their employee they definitely want more than that. They know shes a little and its just a matter of time before they make her theirs.

Steele and Grady have been mentioned another book so it really was worth while waiting for their story. And as for Effie she really will have you laughing out loud at the words coming out from her mouth.... Classic really.

Another must read from this beautiful author who really writes such wonderful stories.

Wonderful story and so much included, Effie’s care of Brooks, Brooks growing up, Effie going to Pinkies for a job catching Grady’s attention, the love story of Effie, Steele and Grady and Grady and Steele’s love story, the hit taken out on Effie and of course the Fox makes an appearance to solve the puzzle. There were other cameo appearances that added so much to the story. The conversations between Effie, Grady and Steele were often hilarious and the way they took care of Effie was so sweet and even Brooks looked out for her even though he was only sixteen. Effie was easy to love as a character and all the staff at Pinkies loved her, she had such a big heart. This story will capture your heart and restore your faith in goodness.

I'm no longer gonna say a book is my favorite because then I read the next one and they just keep getting better ❣️

I love the dynamic between Effie, Grady & Steele.

I was pleasantly surprised that Steele and Grady weren't in a more established relationship. It was brilliant to see it develope.

I also love that Effie is a bit "older" and had some physical constraints. She's also a single parent and the struggles of that is totally relatable.

Speaking of .. the next generation of dominant guys are just magnificent to catch snippets of what they will become. You know it's gonna be good if The Fox is impressed 😆.

I honestly don't know how Laylah does it. Her fan base is hella demanding and every time she manages to blow is away completely, while also teasing us just enough to have us in a tizzy of speculation.

I absolutely recommend this book and series for that matter. While it's good on it's own, there are some "inside jokes" that hit better if you've read all the way through each book.

**I received a free ARC copy of the book and my review is from that **

Effie and her men!

This book was good, funny, kinky and hot.It was like a Cinderella story but with two princes.Effie and Brooks were just surviving and she went into a interview for a dancer but had a fall but Grady felt attraction to her and hired has his assistant, Steele found out about her and he also had a interest in her,but things started to happen to Effie where someone was trying kill her and kidnapped Brooks. Her men took care of that problem. by having Effie around Grady it brought out changes and for the best and it brought out different changes for Steele to,Effie was their sunshine, their light, they were her strong and caring men, their strong shoulders was something she really needed and didn't have before!

Every time I pick up one of these books I second guess reading it because they're pretty long for the type of book they are, but I just breeze through every one. There's no boring patches, nothing that makes me want to skip it and at the end I'm needing more.

Brooks is one of my new favorite side characters and I NEED a story for him when he's older.

Also, I've been saying it since we met them in Ink and Betsy's book but I WILL DIE if we don't get a Baron/Royal book with their girl (because who are we kidding they're not gonna not share). I need the next couple of books to have a year or two between each one and then span a year or so, so that the boys are mid 20's and GIVE US WHAT WE NEED omg.

I love this series and was hooked on the first pages of this release. Effie is adorable and strong. She is a fierce protector of her "nephew" Brooks. She finds herself at Pinkies for a job interview as a dancer and ends up reinjuring her back. Grady comes to her aide and finds he's instantly infatuated with her. While caring for her, he realizes he doesn't want to let her go. He creates another job as his assistance for her and finds a way to keep her close. Steele is also instantly taken by her and he too, doesn't want to let her go. This is their story and includes keeping Brooks safe from bullies at his school. I didn't want to see this book come to an end and really hope Laylah includes this group of 4 in follow on stories. I so want to see more of their happy story.

SERIES/ORDER: MC Daddies # 11
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
TROPES: DD/LG, MMF, Alpha Heroes, suspense
SPICE: 🌶️🌶️
SMUT TO PLOT RATIO: 20/80
POV: Multiple
COUPLE: Effie, Grady, and Steele
CLIFFHANGER?: Nope
VERSION: Kindle
Sloooooow burn. As in…. molasses. They don’t even kiss for the first time until 54%. I don’t mind a slow burn but there was also nothing else to keep the story flowing. No suspense, not a while lot of plot outside of their relationship, which in a faster paced or shorter romance, I wouldn’t mind, but this just started to drag. We get a little more conflict at around 77% and after 90% that made it a bit more interesting but this read was so looooong and it didn’t have the substance necessary to keep me engaged. The smut lacked details and chemistry. I put it down so many times and it took me 3 times as long as it would normally take me to read a book this length. 200 pages could be removed from the middle of this book and it would be a better read.

This was sooo good!! I think I like Effie as much or more than I do Millie!! This has so many wonderful characters that pop up from the MC world! It’s quirky, funny, with lots of heat and steam. Effie breaks her way into the hearts of Steele and Grady! Pinkie’s is the local strip bar that Effie goes to apply for a job. That’s all I’m going to tell you dear reader’s, because it’s a shame if you don’t read this one for yourself!!! I loved it. It’s got quite a few chapters so it feels that you submerge into the story. These books in the Mcdaddy world has kept me entertained and I laughed a lot with this one.

I reviewed an advanced copy of this book

If I could rate this one ten stars I would. Effie was insanely relatable. Single moms are amazing and I love a good book with a strong single mom who finds a good man who she can be weak for. In Effie's case 2 amazing men that help her become her most authentic self. Steele and Grady are OTT Possessive Daddy Goals. It wasn't hard Daddy soft Daddy. It was bossy Daddy and Bossier Daddy which is just what she needed. I would read at least a dozen more books with this throuple. 1,000,000 out of 10 would recommend. Maybe the best in the MC series. I think, for me, it was even better than the highly awaited Daddy Fox. I love Steele and Grady that much.

AHHHHHHHH! Grady, Steele & Effie 😍

This was one of my most highly anticipated reads of the year and it did not disappoint! I've been dying for Steele and Grady's story since the very beginning of the series when they were first introduced in passing. I only wish it were 100 pages longer because I didn't want it to end! I could've kept reading about them forever. That last scene tho 🥵🥵🥵 HOLY MOTHER OF GOD.

Effie's relationship with Brooks is so beautiful. I loved watching him grow throughout the story, especially after Steele and Grady stomp into their lives. And then when the twins do.. 🤣🤣🤣 Royal and Baron are going to rule the world one day. They are TROUBLE.
