Dreams of the darkness have haunted me since childhood. I always assumed one day I would uncover the answer to what the darkness hid... and that those answers would destroy me.
However, after learning who my mate is, I know it won’t be the darkness that kills me… it will be him.
No matter what happens, I plan to take Wrath with me when I die.
Wrath
I wasn’t prepared to discover my Chosen in the tempting, red-haired paliton, but now that I’ve found her, I’m not letting her go… even if she’d prefer to see me dead.
Determined to make Bale bow to my will, I wasn’t expecting the turn of events that thrusts us into a situation far deadlier than any I’ve ever encountered. Nor was I expecting to fall for the infuriating beauty.
She may want to kill me, but she will be mine… unless the answers to what lay within the darkness destroy us both first.
Find out if Bale and Wrath turn from enemies to lovers in the action-packed conclusion to the Hell on Earth series.
***The Hell on Earth series is a spinoff of the Road to Hell series. You do not have to read the Road to Hell series to follow this one.

What a fantastic finale to the Hell on Earth (and Road to Hell) series!
This last installment has it all: enemies to lovers, the ultimate bad boy (I mean, can you get much worse than the Horseman Wrath?) and a redemption arc (for several characters) which left me feeling all warm & fuzzy.
Bring a chosen mate trope, we know Bale & Wrath are destined for each other, but the internal struggle Bale endures as her body and brain war with each other created a delectable frisson I know I’ll want to re-experience. Wrath’s single-minded pursuit of her, his unapologetic bravado, and his slow growth made for a delicious hero. I was hooked.
Brenda K. Davies never disappoints, and the conclusion to the Hell on Earth series was no different. The tension between Bale and Wrath and the epic showdown between the last of the horsemen leave no threads dangling. This book was the perfect ending not only to this series but felt like a wonderful tie up to the characters we fell in love with in the Road to Hell series. As always, Brenda's wicked imagination left me with a bookhangover for days as I continued to think about the characters. Bravo on a wonderful job as always!
The series has been an incredible journey that finally came to a bittersweet end. Brenda created an extension of our world that was unlike any other. One that I have traveled for years and although I’m sad it came to an end I love how she tied it all together. I would have never guessed we’d end up where we were when River first traveled to the wall. Or that there would be so much love and connection to each of the intricately crafted characters but I have a dear and humorous memory with all of them. The fact that she can take so many different personalities and make them all individual and endearing is an amazing talent she has as a word builder and one of the many reasons she’s among my favorite authors. Taking a loved solder like Bale and giving her a chosen such as Wrath seemed risky. But even knowing what a terrible monster the horseman was we cannot help but fall in love with the demon he becomes by Bale’s side! I am still reeling and riding the high from the perfect ending. Each unexpected twist and turn. Every cliffhanger and angsty relationship. I cannot speak higher praise for The Road to Hell series!
Oh this long awaited finale was worth the wait, actually it went beyond worth the wait in my books... So this series, this book world is ingrained in my heart forever, which stands to reason I should be saddened by this final story to wrap up a simply fantastic series, but I’m not saddened at all, I sighed happily at the end of the book and I sat in absolute awe at the authors amazing ability to bring this series together and tie off all the little threads to make this a truly wonderful final Instalment. Let’s chat about Bale and Wrath, because even though there was a lot going the heart of this story was all about Bale and Wrath and their love that should have been forbidden but as lovers of this series know you don’t get to choose your ‘Chosen’. By the end even if Bale had a choice she would have always fallen for Wrath and he with her, their bond was an extra special one, their abilities complimented each other perfectly and even though they both fought the connection for a bit that just made it all the sweeter when they both finally gave in.
What an intriguing story and wonderful ending. I’m so sad to see all these amazing characters and their stories come to an end. I’ve enjoyed each and every one of their books. This is one of my favorite series. Wrath and Bale’s story was intriguing and no doubt keeps you interested throughout. The world building and storyline is this book and all the others is so well done. I loved the Horseman addition. I also loved the Fiora resolution and Caim’s ending. There is just so much in this book that made it a great story and so many page turning events. Fantastic job Brenda!
I absolutely loved this series!!!! I'm a bit sad that the series is over but I think it ended well. I love Bale and Wrath's dynamic. If there could ever be a book with Kobal and Wrath, I would be super interested in seeing how that played out.
This is the last book in this four book mini series by Brenda... This follows Bale and her initial attempts to avoid her Chosen... he turned out to be one of the enemy.. Wrath is one of the Horsemen, and Bale is intrigued and horrified in equal measure at first.. She keeps her Chosen a secret from her friends... They have a fight in a forest of Calanut trees where Bale and Wrath are separated from her friends and they end up being hunted by a demon, who turns people into gold. His place is lined with statues including Bale’s sister. Bale is almost caught by him but Raphael kills him. Bale began to return to real life as did everyone else.. including two hellhounds who are reunited with the pack like puppies, and her sister. They are reunited with her friends and they have a brief respite until the two other horsemen arrive with a flock of griffins ... Wrath is instrumental in killing both horsemen.. but he is badly injured and takes a week to wake up. They take six months to clear the Wilds of demons, then they return to the wall. In this time, Caim and Bale’s sister have become a couple and Raphael is recalled to “heaven”. Caim is offered a place but he chooses love. The epilogue is filled with happiness and joy.

Who knew that Wrath could feel anything other than rage?! Bale and Wrath had a difficult journey as they were literal enemies. But I thoroughly enjoyed how Wrath let his guard down and became as vulnerable as a horseman was capable of with Bale. After millennia behind the seal, happiness with his chosen was never anything Wrath thought possible. My heart hurt for Bale as she dreamed of finding her chosen just as her friends had only for it to be someone she despised. She had lost so much and now her future was bleak being as a chosen could not live without their mate. Accepting her fate, she was reluctant to align with Wrath as they figured out how to defeat Midas. But in doing so, she was able to see glimpses of the man Wrath was before he was locked away behind the seal. And that is the man she fell in love with. Together they conquered their enemies and would make a life together.
On a side note, I enjoyed the epilogue as well. Knowing that Caim finds happiness too put me over the moon!
As always, Meg Price was phenomenal! She does an exceptional job portraying each character. Her narration is so smooth and just tickles my brain in the right way. I blew through this series because I just couldn’t stop listening to it. Definite must have!
I really enjoyed this story!!! I’m so glad there was a story about bale and her chosen. Who would have thought it would be one if the horsemen? Well, the story entailed alot of adventure, action, sex, and rollercoaster of emotions. .it seemed like this is the last of the story and were they all good. The author doesn’t disappoint in keeping you captivated and having you flipping that next page.... definitely recommend this series. *******spoiler alert further on *******.................... .. ..................... .................... .................... ........................................ .................... .................... ....................................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... I was saddened that Shax was killed off and I was hoping for a story for him but that hope was cut off 😭😭😭
My favorite series, along with The Road to Hell series
Man, do I love this series and this book did not disappoint. Such a clever idea to have a good demon's chosen be a horseman. And man did I love Wrath. So hot! I did think she drew out them finally getting together a little too long but that's just me. I prefer insta-love stories so this seemed to take forever to me. Also, I thought a couple of the fight scenes were a little drawn out but once again that's just me and it didn't take away from the story so I didn't deduct any stars. I'm also disappointed that Kobel and River were barely in the book at all. I'm so going to miss these characters so much and I hope she decides to write more of them in the future some how. I definitely think these 2 series should be made into a movie or a series. That would be so awesome! I could totally see it. Dual povs. HEA. Definitely recommend!!!
I've loved every one of the books in this series. There's one RIP in this last installment that I wasn't expecting, a lovely character, too. The last couple are probably the most unlikely pairing (I won't say who in case it's a surprise for someone!).
It's strange when demons, shapeshifters, fallen angels & a whole plethora of sundry supes get together to work for a common cause & get sh*t done! Shame that kind of thing doesn't work in the real world. I'm going to miss looking forward to the next book in this series but I'm halfway through the Shadows books, so that's not too bad - keeps me out of mischief. I think that the Hell saga will be one that I could happily reread at a future date, which is very unusual for me. The characters & complexities are such that I know I will be able to come at it with fresh eyes. I can't pay Ms Davies a bigger compliment than that.
So Bale was one of my favorite characters throughout both series. I was so excited for her to find her chosen. And the fact that is was Wrath, made it even more intriguing. I could tell from the beginning that Wrath would bend over backwards to have her even if he did t realize it at first.
Bale is like every other women. Stubborn and won’t change their beliefs unless they truly believe in changing them. Nevertheless Bale and Wrath came together and grew to love each other unconditionally. And despite there differences and they made it work.
I am sad though that is the end of the series. I loved finding falling in love with River and Kobal and then Everyone else. Especially Corson and Bale. And I loved reading their stories and how they found and kept their Chosen. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
This is all spoilers, because it's all questions. None of this detracts from how much I enjoyed this series!
hmmm, am I the only one who: thought Bale would end up with Caim? wondered if the other horsemen would have remembered happiness if they met their Chosen? thought the reunion with her long thought dead sister was a little rushed? wanted Dana and Darcy to live? wonders if Kobal dies, will another Varcolac rise, or will his son become king wondered where all the bad, dead humans were sent to? are they instant wraiths ready to be fed upon? Is there someone in charge of torture? wondered who is running Hell on a day-to-day basis with Varcolac spending most of his time on Earth?

Absolutely phenomenal finale to this spin off series Bale has found her chosen but he’s her enemy. A high level enemy. Wrath. One of the horsemen. Maybe the strongest. He is determined to make Bale his. No matter the cost to her for he will kill her King and friend. Bale has been having nightmares for a long time. The darkness is coming for her but what lives in that darkness? Can she beat the darkness and destroy her chosen? Is there a happy ever after for Bale? Read this finale instalment I promise you will not be disappointed. Old favourites and some new ones too. I highly recommend this to all PNR fans
What a great and amazing book to wrap up the Hell on Earth series!! Edge of Darkness had everything i would want in a wrap up book, it had great action, steamy moments and no cliffhanger, obviously. It was enemies to lovers and so much more in between. The world the author created is amazing and so much fun to dive into. I love it when I read a book that has amazing descriptions because I actual feel like I am there and I can loose myself in the book for a bit and this one clearly does that! I highly recommend reading the series in order or you won't know some characters stories. I loved it so much!!! Can't wait to see what Brenda k Davies does next!!!
I love this series from the road to hell to hell on earth. Wow. These books are so well written u feel like u r there w them fighting loving hating laughing. Very sad to c the end of this series. I know as a fan there r so many ways she could write more. But it did end without leaving u wanting more. I do love the hea of course w a few loses and that was sad. But I really do love all of her books.
I just loved the whole series " Hell on earth " I barely finished the first book before wanting to read the next. The changes between the demons, the humans, and the Angeles were so intriguing that it was not easy to put the books down before finishing them. Kobal and River and several of the other "Chosen" mates proved that opposites can work thru many issues when you're in love and willing to fight to keep.
To the series and to the original series aswell. I did notice how the same theme was repeated in this and the middle book. Both couples get stuck by themselves in a strange unknown place and have to fight to get out. That was a bit naff, but after that the book was very good.
This book was amazing, another great story and characters, it had me on the edge of my seat and gave me a few heart pounding moments, I'm so glad bale and wrath got their happy ever after, I hope this wasn't the last book in this world, I could read more about the characters and the whole overall world, I would give this more than 5* if I could
I loved this series, the world building that started in the previous books continued and grew in this one. The characters in this series is what makes it for me. The characters diversity that grows into a family full of strength is truly something special.
I have enjoyed both road to hell and he'll on earth series. I believe these two series are her best books. I'm just sad I finished them so quickly. Although I enjoy all of her books, I identify more with the characters in these series especially River, Hawk, and vargas.
Wow!! I really loved this book!! The enemy to lovers thing gets me every time! I loved how the story wrapped up everything nicely. I really wish it wouldn’t end but I will just have to reread it all over again. Thank you, for the amazing story! Must read in order to really get the full story, but you won’t be sorry!
Awesome books brilliantly written keep you coming back for more hungry for what happens next. You get sucked in and drawn to the characters and completely fall in love with them. It's scary, magical, funny, sexy heartbreaking and so much more you won't be able to put them down. I loved them all inhaled them
I did not review every book. I wanted to do it when the series was over.. Really didn't think I'd tear up on this last book though.. warning this is not a standalone series, you have to start at the beginning.Hell on Earth, lessons learned and strength found and in all the chaos Love ..Brenda has a way that draws you in and makes you want more..
