The Fujifilm X100S is a digital camera with a 23mm fixed prime lens. It is intended for amateurs to semi-professionals who want a camera that allows them to make great images faster and with less hassle than any other digital camera.
While the camera manual explains what the camera can do, it doesn’t show exactly how to use the camera to create great images! That’s where Fujifilm From Snapshots to Great Shots comes in. Starting with the top ten things users need to know about the camera, author Kevin Mullins carefully guides readers through the operating features. Readers get practical advice from a pro on which settings to use when, great shooting tips, and end of chapter assignments.
From Snapshots to Great Shots is a beautiful how-to photography series that provides the perfect blend of instruction, inspiration, and reference for specific camera models and photography concepts. Featuring a clear, elegant design; outstanding images that educate and inspire; and a friendly, accessible voice, this series helps photographers get great shots every time they pick up their camera.
This is a perfect book for a beginner who couldn't resist buying Fuji x100s (like I did). It combines a camera manual and a summary of basic photography concepts, complemented with many illustrations and random advice. The material is conveniently divided into 12 chapters, each ending with some assignments to practice. After reading it I feel like I finally understand most of the possibilities of my shiny new toy and can shoot something cool using it. Great book overall.
