At just twenty-three years old, beautiful Hannah Jordan has been through the worst kind of torture imaginable. Raped, beaten and left for dead by a gang of monsters, she’s only alive thanks to the work of her mom’s security team and the police. Having retreated back to her mom’s home in the States for over a year, she’s now trying to rebuild her life, for her mom’s sake as much as her own. Is coming back to London, the place where the attack happened, really going to lead to the fresh new start she wants, or is it going to bring back the horror of what happened all over again? Danny Simons has always been a player. Tall, dark and handsome, and with a twinkle in his eye that promised total satisfaction, women have been dropping their panties for him since he was barely out of his teens. Hell if he’d ever carved a notch in his bedpost for every woman he’d slept with, the damn thing would have been reduced to matchsticks long ago. And yet one single event, over a year ago, has robbed the former soldier of all desire to be with a woman. These days, he can barely think of sleeping with a woman without feeling sick to his stomach. One single day, when he’d been called upon to rescue a kidnap victim, had shown him how evil and depraved human beings could be. He would never forget those images. He might manage to get through the days, pretending to still be the same old Danny, grinning, laughing and flirting, just like he always has. But at night when he shuts the door to his bedroom and lays alone in the dark, those same images keep him awake. The same face haunts his dreams. And the same name is on his lips. Hannah!

The books can be read independently, but are best enjoyed if read in order.
Please note that this series of books contains strong language, violence and scenes of a sexual nature. It is not intended for anyone under the age of 18 due to the detailed and descriptive content. (M/F) There are modified versions available of all of the books in this series for those who like their stories a little less "Adult". They are the exact same stories, and are still intended to be read by an 18+ audience. Please look out for the (PG-13 Clean Version) Subtitle.
!!! Potential Plot alert !!! There is reference, in some detail, to kidnap and gang rape, throughout the book. I detest rape being used as plot device and although here it's presented with a twist I still have incredibly mixed feelings about it because to me it feels like a sell out when an educated female author resorts to the easiest 'target' I do think there should have been a prominent suitable potential trigger warning in the blurb. It may be there and I didn't see it, which means it's not prominent enough. The characterisation is perfect, which I have come to expect from the author, I certainly connected with the characters and like that the supporting characters are all individual personalities. The plotline is good despite the theme (mixed feelings, remember?) There are some sex scenes and plenty of swearing. I have no problem recommending the series. My main bugbear with the author but in particular this book is the sometimes really odd punctuation including a massive use of the exclamation mark. I lost count of the amount used, quite liberally and quite literally in just about every paragraph. I purchased the series years ago and am leaving belated feedback, and have been happy to re-read the series quite often since purchasing. If you are a fan of the genre you would probably enjoy the series.
Anonymous will break your heart and put it back together.
Another well worthy read deserving my 5 cups of steaming java, ☕☕☕☕☕. This book had me on the edge of my seat pretty much from beginning to end. I've laughed and cried, more cried than laughed. There need to be more alpha gentlmen like this man in this messed up world.
Hannah wasn't kidnapped first time because of her anonymous relation to a very well known popular country singer touring the world. But second time around, totally related to first kidnapping as she was kidnapped again but for ransom this time because of her mother's fame among another reason. There are a lot of surprising twists in this action packed story.
Danny is the Alpha who knew Hannah from her first ordeal and never could forget her and runs into her when she's hired by his company, only to lose himself with her as he falls in love with her. Danny is the true epitome of what a gentleman is. There is definitely a HEA after all threats have been eliminated.
It was good. Not really a 2.5/5, but also not really a 3/5.
Goods, CJ. The mom was definitely the best character. Her and Hannah's relationship was really sweet. Also, when the story actually started to get rolling and the plot progressed, it was a graceful touch from the monotony.
Bads, it's a preference, but I was really hoping for more angst (especially what happened with Hannah). At points her whole situation seemed like a joke or something to just brush over to give her... Something for her personality (?) And it was kinda disgusting. I would have liked to see their relationship be talked about longer and not within I think a couple of months. Like girl, Hannah, you're saying 'I love you' within the first week, chill out girl.
Definitely like 2.75/5. If you need something quick to read it was ok. I'll be reading more of the Alpha company, though.
I really enjoyed the story behind this novel. I even enjoyed all the peripheral characters in this series. It also had an interesting back story and a fair bit of humor.
Hannah had been brutally kidnapped, raped and repeatedly beaten for 4 days before being saved by her mother's security. Danny had been the one to find Hannah during her ordeal. A year later Danny has to deal with his own issues that have come as a result of finding Hannah in that condition. Together they begin to truly heal.
As stated above, I liked this book. There were a few errors and I am so not a fan of the instant "I love you, oh I love you too" within moments of meeting, but I did enjoy the book. Will likely read the next with my unlimited.
I enjoyed this book for the most part. Danny and Hannah were fantastic leads. It was nice to see all of the gang back together. My only complaint is that the author does not use American English properly for her characters that are American. It is not a terrible thing, but it can take you out of the moment when a character says or thinks something completely out of context for them. Now, the author does address this issue with a Q&A at the end of the books, so she knows about it. She tried to do her best, but some instances still got through. Please don’t let that be the reason you skip this author’s books though. That would be a real shame.
Anonymous is the 2nd book in The Alpha Company Women series. Beth Abbott has created an beautiful and seductive story, that touched very difficult subjects mixed with hope, slow and beautiful seduction, a bit of action, some drama, family and friends, not to forget interesting characters. I had looked forward to reading Danny and Hannah's story, both mentally strong, but even the strongest person sometimes need help coping with life, it is easy let your past shape your future, it takes courage and love to create a future, which both Danny and Hannah had tenfold
I chose this rating because this was a really great book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This book was well-written I think the author did an amazing job. She touch on some of things that are pretty much happening in our world today. I am happy that Danny chose to wait on Hannah when she wasn't ready to go all the way with him. Now that's what you call a real gentleman. He knew the ordeal she had been through and what had happened to her. Her mom was awesome also. Great read!
This second in the series was better than the first. It has a good story and the speed of recovery and the at times implausible plot-line are balanced by strong characterisation and enough tension and interest to keep you reading. The lead characters were appealing and strong the bad guys less so, in that they were more two dimensional and less believable. Overall a quick read, not without flaws but enjoyable even so.
One wouldn't think vets who've seen the worst in ppl could be very gentle. Danny is just so caring that one recovery mission changed him for life. Hannah suffered at the hands of some evil ppl and probably wouldn't have move forward as fast if it wasn't for her guardian angel. A bad situation brought them together and they fought to see it through. I just love these alpha male stories and the women who loves them.
Hannah has been anonymous most of her life, having a parent well known but one day she was kidnapped while the team was protecting her mother. It wasnt just a random kidnapping they were doing all kind of things but her guardian angel came to save her and from that point it was always her. The things that they had to ho through was a lot but in the end it made her a badass.
Hannah's story is heart-breaking. Enter Danny & the rest of Alpha Team and their significant others.
Slowly Hannah begins her recovery only to learn some devastating news on who was behind her ordeal. Can she really recover enough to live her net life? Of course with the guys and gals of Alpha Company.
Loved this book even more than the first, so bought all the remaining books in the series.
An ever twisting adventure filled with romance, mystery and loads of hunks and sassy ladies. Nothing better than a hero who can show his softer side and a heroine who's not afraid to take her hero down to size when necessary. Another great read by Beth Abbott! :-)
She was victim of a horrific sexual assault, and he was the person to rescue her. Both were traumatized by the event. Then, they were reunited, although she didn't realise his part in her rescue. Okay, you need to read the author's version of the story, rather than my pathetic synapses of what is an excellent read.
If you're looking for a bit of everything in one book then this series is the one for you and this author produces the best stories! Even after reading them all over and over again I can never put them down. You are seriously missing out if you don't buy it now. I can't wait for the next installment.
Very graphic description of a kidnapped, tortured, and gang-raped victim. Highly disturbing. Beyond that, Danny was awesome. He was very patient and so supportive with Hannah. She was surprisingly resilient after all she'd been through.
I loved the chemistry between Hannah and Danny. I loved that they worked out their issues with therapy and therapists. Thank you Ms. Abbott for another great story. Can't wait to read more about Alpha Company.
This story has a lot of danger, hardship, suspence, and keeps you turning the pages to read what happens next, until the very end, looking forward to reading more books from this author
The emotions this book pulls from you are wide and varied. It is very hard to put the book down until you finish. The series is worth reading and enjoying! I highly recommend!!
This was a cute read ! Love how Danny took his time with her an never pushed her an loved the protection an devotion he had towards her even without her knowledge!
This is the first book I have read by this author. I loved it. The characters are engaging and the story was easy to follow and easy to read and had the right amount of suspense to enjoy. I read a lot and I loved this book. I will read more by this author.
Heartfelt story of Hannah and Danny. The horrible thing she went through and I admire that she could even think of going on with her life. But what else could she do. She didn’t let it get her down. Awesome story
