okayy this was not bad✋🏼but not good either😔 considering it has literally 30 pages and it has insta-love (which I realized I'm not particularly fond of) it could be read when you have 30 mins to spare.
The thing that really put me off was the smut, like why is it written so weirdly??😭 It seemed like the author was afraid to be too vulgar or something and the metaphors weren't it.
In conclusion I think this had great potential that was wasted☹️

This was a short 30-page long story, narrating swiftly but beautifully the story of Ellery and Ostiarius, a human and an ethereal human-like creature.
This was fast, sweet with some spice that left me feeling cheerful and acted as a much needed break between heavier books. There was great chemistry but it was also insta-attraction and insta-love, which is understandable considering the book's length.
Did I like it? Yes.
Would I reread it? No.

Good very quick read!
So I really liked this story, I just wish it had been a little longer. His appendage was interesting to say the least and was unexpected. I sort of hope we get more on the shadows background.

Very short monster romance with a twist. I wasn’t sure where this was going to go from the way this started. Very interesting. Great book. Ellery and the Ostiarius were an interesting pair. I wasn’t sure how that would work but it did.

Ellery is minding her own business selling the products either made or grown on her ranch. A man comes to her booth and Ellery knows there is something different about him. He is different from anybody she has met and she’s not sure how she feels about it. Ellery puts off his request for two days but he doesn’t show. After weeks of feeling an unexplainable presence he finally appears again at her ranch.
Ostiarius is a Shadow Guardian with nothing to do. Unfortunately, shadow guardians cannot keep a body for more than a day despite saving up their power. Ellery called to him and gave him the ability to stay in physical form for a little longer. After their first encounter, Ostiarius lost the power to even be a shadow. He still came to visit her, watch her. He lives for the day when he can come to her again.

1⭐️2🌶️ i loved the concept of this novella but for it being labeled as a spicy monster romance and it being only 30 pages, i was really hoping for more spice than there actually was 😅 i was expecting mostly smut with a lil bit of story and i got more story than smut. it was a cute insta love though!

When she said she likes to write short romance stories, she meant that! This wasn't even 50 pages, talk about a quick read!
I love me a good monster romance and this one was a good one. While it was suuuuuper short, she packed a shit ton of details into this book. I loved how it felt a little longer than it was from how much world building and character development she put into this.
The ending threw me off a bit and felt really abrupt and that is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
I stepped wayyyyy out of my comfort zone by reading such a short book but it was fun.

Quick, Steamy, Monster Love Romance!!
This is totally not my usual go to but wanted to try something different and boy, I am sooo happy I did! I loved both of these characters and the steam was sizzling! The connection between Shadow and Ellery could be felt off the page and even though this is a very quick read, I felt like I got the chance to experience their world. I wish there was a bit more to them, but I still loved this book, nonetheless.
If you are looking for a quick, easy, monster love steamy read, look no further as this is for you!

Super fun, very quick read. Perfect when you want a read over a lunch break or whenever you have a little time to kill.
This is a fantasy short story and was told so well for how short it is. I loved that it was a quick read, but also wished for a bit more. I didn't want the story to end! First time reading anything by the author, but won't be the last!

Sometimes a short and spicy monster romance is what you need as a palette cleanser and Elliot Ason did just that for me. In under an hour, I was relaxed, hooked and at the edge of my seat into the final spicy scene. This story tells the story between Ellery and her “shadow”, Ostiarius as they discover each other and start fantasizing about each other…🌶️🌶️🌶️

If you love any sort of monster romance and love more of a novella length story that has a happy ending, this is the story for you!
This was a super fun and quick (probably like 45 minutes from start to finish) read that left you wanting for nothing. You get a brief but concise overview of of MC's backgrounds and what has led them to the place they are now which I think was done in such a wonderful way that you don't feel like you are missing anything.
The story also has a great build up in terms of tension between our two main characters. The only downfall in my opinion was when the MC's finally got together, it fell a bit flat. I think with all of the build up I was expecting something a bit spicier and more aggressive and it just didn't feel that way for me- still really hot and spicy don't get me wrong. I just wished there was a bit more or maybe the whole interaction was a bit longer.
I highly recommend if you are looking for your next monster read. The idea behind this story and the "monster" is certainly one that I have not seen before and it won't leave you disappointed.

If you have love monster romance than this is excellent book for you. Ellery has been lonely since take over the farm. She had her horse who at first hated her but her life was change when she meets stranger at town market. He shows up again at her farm and she feels a connection to him but he disappears and take her heart with him. This is an short smut monster romance with an hea ending.

This was a really interesting super quick read. I enjoyed the story.I loved the shadow demon aspect. It was a really cool concept. I wished there was even more to it. The demon's appendage was definitely an interesting addition. Looking forward to more from this author.

This story felt just a little sad
-not tragic, maybe bittersweet is the more apt sensation. The demon guy lost his whole world, corporeal form and the only thing he has left to live for is finding a mate?
It's meant to be steamy but most of the scenes are stiff and cardboard. The emotional bits are a bit fluffy but better.

There's a really cool backstory for Ostiarius. But the author said tough cookies - you get what you get and you don't get upset. So even though there is so much potential, we'll never get to read it.

Ostiarius is a Shadow Guardian, he's been looking for the other half of his soul for a long time, he finally finds it, and it comes in the form of young human named Ellery. She's dosn't know whats happening to her all she knows is she wants him and when he disappeared he left a gaping big hole in her chest, she searches and calls out for him, but he don't answer her. He can't but he wants too. It's a good short story that does leave you wanting more. The author does warn you that you would be wanting more off them and I do. This is the first book I've read by this author and It won't be the last, who doesn't love a big off monster smut.

"Our souls entwined a dozen moon cycles ago. I’m glad for Ellery’s sake no sacrifice was needed on either of our parts. For us to be needed was the pairing of our bodies."

This is a super short, sweet and steamy novella, the best pallet cleanser if that’s what you are looking for. Ellery is a strong female character who takes over the responsibility of her uncles farm when he passed, though it was passed to her cousin he didn’t want to settle down yet. To keep the place running, she sells all her produce at the market. when she begins to pack up a mysterious man with the sweetest scent shows up and asks if she had daffodils. Sadly she sold all her daffodils and she tells him to come back in a few days. Will he be back? Will she go nuts after smelling that sweet scent of his? Read to find out 🤭☺️

Short but Sweet!!!
This is a short insta-love story that has made me re-think my views on short stories as they have never really appealed to me UNTIL NOW!
Ellery is the FMC who lives alone on her Uncle's land and runs a market stall. It is at the market where she first meets the MC Ostiarius who is a Shadow Guardian that has been stuck on the Earth plain for hundreds of years. He realises they are soul mates but everything is made difficult for them as he cannot take a corporeal form for too long.
I felt like I wanted to get to know the characters more but this was a very good palate cleanser and easy read - bonus as there is spice and it has a HEA!

I love these “bite sized insta-love tales” as Elliot calls them!
This is now my third read of Elliot’s and they just keep getting better.
This one is about Ellery and her shadow. I’d say it’s a love at first feel, or smell. As with all of Elliot’s tales there a spicy scene towards the end, and this one was particularly fun.
I highly recommend these reads, especially in between books as a fun little something to change it up with.

I loved this! It was a pretty quick read and there was just enough spice and story to keep me engaged! This is a monster romance, which I haven't read a lot of quite yet but this story makes me want to delve more into the genre!

Super cute bite sized romance story. Took around 30 minutes to read. This story is about Ellery and Ostiarius.
This was the perfect little in-between for me to read before starting a longer series. I really enjoyed reading about an independent FMC and the lonely demon MMC. Instant attraction and HEA. Wish it was a little bit longer.

This is my first read by Elliot Ason, and I definitely want more. This short story was really well written. The character build is amazing and even with it being a short story we get to know the characters fairly well. I love monster smut, and I really enjoyed reading this story.
If you love Monster Smut this is for you! Just be ready to want more!

I know you only do short stories and that’s fine, but I really want to know what happens next with them and see how she feels about her life now that she is, for a lack of a better word immortal and together with him forever. I really liked this story is was fun to get both POV and get to know him better before they got together, but she doesn’t know what she is😏 please continue writing, you are very good at it and your storytelling is also very good 👍🏼
