When a feral alpha shows up at Olson's bar, growling his name, the first thing he should've done was run.

Instead, Olson lets Rex take him. Rex reminds him too much of the alpha he lost. Rex has the same green eyes, the same maplewood scent. The same adoration that his late bondmate gazed at him with.

If Olson closes his eyes, he can pretend that it's his ex-alpha pulling him into his arms, claiming him completely.

He lets Rex move into his apartment. He lets Rex into his bed. And when his heat rolls in, he lets Rex have that, too, with absolutely no protection because he's just been so lonely.

Thing is, Rex is twenty-one. And Olson lost his bondmate twenty-one years ago. The similarities between the two alphas...
It's just coincidence. Right?

The Feral Alpha is a 61k-word nonshifter MPreg romance, about a reincarnated alpha who's been fighting to return to his omega's side. Get ready for cringey pickup lines, questionable blessings, an adoring alpha, and a happily ever after. No cheating!

♾️⭐️ 5/5 — Five “devotion kings whose love laughed in the face of death and came back reincarnated” stars 👑❤️‍🔥
🌶 5/5 — Feral, filthy, and tender. Hot enough to scorch the pages and illegal in several time zones. 🥵🔥

Honestly, I picked up this book for the filthy knot scenes—yes, I got those. But then suddenly I was ugly-crying in the fetal position, clutching my e-reader like it was life support. I'M A CRYBABY, SUE ME. And yet I couldn't stop flipping pages... now here I am, absolutely wrecked in the best fucking way. 😭😭😭💔💔💔✨️✨️✨️💖💖💖

📖 The Premise 📖

One omega mourning his alpha for twenty-one years. One alpha clawing his way through hell—captivity, horrifying human experimentation, and actual death—just to get back to his omega. ❤️‍🔥

A reincarnation story like no other, with a soulmate bond that survives time, trauma, and even death itself. If you’re not here for an alpha/omega connection that rewrites reality and gives zero shits about rules, then what are you even reading for? 😌

🧑🏻👱🏻 The MCs 🧑🏻👱🏻

Olson — Bar owner, ball of grief and longing. He lost his alpha and was shoved into single omega life with a heartbreak so deep it’s practically an Olympic sport. The willowy omega with orchid-scented skin and an unassuming strength that anchors Rex. His bonding marks aren’t just marks; they’re soul tattoos binding him to a mate who’s been waiting lifetimes.

Rex — The feral alpha with the soul of a lost boy and the heart of a devoted mate. Reincarnated, carrying shards of his past life as George. Kidnapped, tortured, experimented on, but still coming out swinging and horny. Basically, feral with muscle, scars, and the emotional intelligence of a golden retriever obsessed with one thing: Olson.

Protective? Obsessive? Hell yes—and all dripping with raw, desperate love.

❤️‍🔥 The Chemistry ❤️‍🔥

Quote:
"I'll come back to marry you. Don't die."
He’d died once to save Olson’s life. He would do it again.
-
💭 It's not just love. It's a soul-deep, life-defining, through-hell-and-back bond. They are each other's forever. The way they touched, the way they looked at each other, the way the smallest gestures were soaked in history and longing... my heart squeezed so many times I lost count. 😭🫠

💔 The Moment My Heart Got Shattered 💔

Imagine kneeling on the floor, your hands slick with the blood of the person you love most, and they're still trying to comfort you while they fade. Yeah. That's the exact moment my soul packed its bags and fucked off to the afterlife. I was SOBBING, UGLY CRYING, ready to sue the author for emotional damages. 😭💔

🌶 The Spice 🌶

Quote:
They showed up late to the Wine Shack with come still leaking down Olson’s thighs. Fifteen minutes earlier, Rex had Olson pinned, cock sliding out slow, then dipped his fingers into Olson’s messy hole just to smear it all over his ass.
-
💭 When your alpha is FERAL, “spice” hits different. It isn’t just sex—it’s survival. It’s primal, filthy, obsessive… and somehow so tender it’ll break your heart while they’re breaking each other. Peak Omegaverse energy. 🤌🏻❤️‍🔥

Every scene? RAW EMOTION + RAW COCK. Biting, claiming—pining so intense you’ll need hydration. 💦🔥

Every lick, slap, and groan is basically a filthy love letter written in sweat and come. It’s raw, it’s tender, it’s knot-heavy with a beating heart—and the breeding? ILLEGAL LEVEL. 🚔🥵

🍦🫦 Ice Cream — Dessert or Foreplay?🍦🫦

Olson: We eat things off spoons, Rex. Not off people."
Rex: presses his ice cream cone to Olson’s lips “Taste.”
Olson: takes a bite “...Mint?”
Rex: immediately tongues it right out of Olson’s mouth like a starving man 😳🔥
-
💭 That wasn’t dessert. That was straight-up pre-sex cardio with sprinkles. 🥵

🗣️ Rex’s Mouth = Weapon of Mass Destruction 🗣️

Man barely strings sentences together, but when he does? It’s pure, raw, brain-melting porn poetry.

“I love it when you bend over and show me your pretty hole.”
👉🏻 Sir. SIR. That’s not a line, that’s a war crime. My knees gave out instantly. 🚨🔥

“I want to open you with my fingers, and then my cock. Stretch you wide and give you every inch.”
👉🏻 WHY is this caveman suddenly Shakespeare of Smut?? Who gave him the right?? 😩📖🍆

“I want to open you and put another baby inside you. Pump you full of come. Ruin your pretty hole so it’s all mine.”
👉🏻 Babes, I flatlined. Like… defibrillators couldn’t bring me back. This man skipped romance and went straight for ruin + breed and I ascended. ☠️😇👶

🏁 The Ending 🏁

Quote:
“Olson, I... I no speak good. But much love. Love for Olson. Want Olson. Husband. Marry?”
“Of course I’ll marry you, I’ve only ever wanted to marry you. No one else.”
“Mine. Mine, mine, mine.”
“Yours.”

From bloody desperation to domestic bliss with pink poppies tucked behind ears and kids laughing in the grass. And then Rex—still feral after all these years—whispering possessive promises for the next heat? BABY. It's the happily-ever-after we earned. My heart is full, my soul is wrecked, and I'm never getting over it. I will root for these boys for all eternity. ❤️‍🔥♾️

📝 TLDR 📝

👨🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼 MM omegaverse, non-shifter, with mpreg and babies 🫃🏼
❤️‍🔥 Reincarnation with trauma, healing, primal possessiveness, and love that never lets go ♾️
🥵 Ice cream foreplay, illegal levels of knotting, and raw messy breeding 💦
🦁 Feral alpha who only remembers how to love and claim his omega 💘
🍑 Lots of butt-blessings (yep, that’s a thing 💀)

Now go get feral, babes. Anna Wineheart wrote this book for hopeless romantics, nasty little fiends like us—so let’s ENJOY every filthy, beautiful page. ✨️💘

P.S. Stock up on tissues, because this book is gonna wreck you. Like, full-on agonizing, soul-deep pain kind of wrecks you. 😭😭😭💔💔💔🤧🤧🤧
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Quotes:

“I know who I’m gonna marry,” six-year-old Rex said, kicking his legs in the passenger seat.
“Who?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know his name. But I will know him when I see him.”
-
This alpha was... abnormal. Olson had never seen an alpha this strong. He was all muscle, big thighs straddling Olson, the thick length in his pants straining so hard that the threads holding down his fly had already begun unraveling.
With a soft rustle, the alpha’s cock ripped right through the front of his pants, pushing out, hanging heavily between them.
Olson stared in shock. Heat rushed between his legs. And he whimpered, his fingers itching to touch that big, flushed length. Especially when precome gathered on the alpha’s tip, dripping onto Olson’s belly.
“Mine.” The alpha pawed at Olson’s pants, licking his lips.
“Yeah, okay,” Olson whispered breathlessly. He shoved down his pants, squirming out of his clothes until he was completely naked.
-
The alpha followed him. “Olllsonnn.”
Olson whirled around, baring his teeth. “Stay away from me.”
“Mine.”
“No. I reject that bond. I’m not yours. I will never be yours.”
Rex froze then, moss-green eyes watching him from under that mess of hair. “Mine,” he said, but there was a pleading note to his voice now.
“Leave me alone.”
-
“Mate.” Rex remembered the other day, with Olson beneath him. Olson moaning and writhing and begging for his cock. His body grew hot; his cock grew thick and pushed out of the tear in his pants, rising up hungrily. Rex parted his legs, showing it to Olson.
“Oh, gods,” Olson breathed, his cheeks turning pink. But he raked his gaze over that tingling length; he wet his lips.
Rex couldn’t help reaching down, squeezing himself. It felt good. And Olson didn’t look angry at all as his eyes followed Rex’s hand up and down. In fact, his pupils dilated, his breaths coming faster.
“Olson like,” Rex said. He opened his legs wider, rubbing himself proudly.
-
“Olson cock,” Rex purred, rubbing his bulge over and over until Olson thrashed on his shoulder, panting and bucking.
“Fuck. Gods, Rex. I need you inside.”
Rex grasped Olson’s thighs. With Olson still draped over his shoulder, he pulled open Olson’s legs and squeezed Olson’s cock, shoving his thumb against Olson’s covered hole.
Olson came hard, writhing, digging his fingers into Rex’s shirt. Rex cupped his hand over Olson’s bulge, grinding down with the heel of his palm so Olson’s come smeared all over inside. “Mine. Mate. Mine.”
“It’s such a mess inside,” Olson whimpered. “You want to see it?”
-
When Rex’s knot went down, he didn’t pull out immediately. His come began trickling out, though—there was so much of it that it leaked out around him. That wasn’t good.
So Rex withdrew slowly, using his fingers to scoop up his come, pushing it back into Olson’s gaping, wet hole. Then he pushed his cock back in, to keep all of his marking inside his omega.
“Fuck, you’re lewd,” Olson murmured.
-
“Y-you know you can do this whenever you want, right? I—I used to wake up knotted with you. And I liked it.”
“Mate Olson. When Olson sleep.”
“Yes.”
-
“I don’t want another alpha, okay? I’ve spent half my life missing you. I’m not looking for anyone else.”
“Even... Even if... alpha more good?”
“Even then.”
“Mine.”
-
“Stay.”
“But—”
“Stay.” He glanced pointedly at Olson’s belly.
“I can’t lose you again. Not like this.”
“Mate. Love.”
-
“The ambulance is coming,” Olson said, covering George’s wounds with his hands, trying to stop the bleeding. “You have to stay with me.”
“Ol—son,” George gasped, pained. His eyes were clouding over.
“You can’t—You can’t leave me.” Olson choked on his words. The horror of the situation was only just starting to sink in.
“‘M sorry.” George coughed weakly, his breathing wet. “S’rry I... can’t... can’t marry you... Wanted... wanted to...”
“Don’t say that. Please. You’re coming home with me.” Olson’s vision turned blurry. He pressed harder on George’s wounds, trying to stop the blood from leaving him. But there was so much of it.
“Ol... son...” George’s mouth moved. Olson had to lean in to hear him. “Love... you...”
“No, no, no. Please. Please hang in there. George. Please.” Olson’s heart felt like it was fracturing into a million little pieces.
“You... made... me... so... happy...” George looked pained. “S’rry...”
His breathing slowed. The sirens wailed.
By the time the ambulance arrived, George’s heart had already stopped.
-
“You’ve faced enough crap to last several lifetimes. I just want you to have a good life, damn it.”
-
None of this could be taken for granted. Olson had spent his early years with George thinking they had forever. Now, he knew better. He knew to cherish every moment, he knew to hold Rex close and tell him how amazing he was. With a life like theirs, nothing was guaranteed.
-
“Mate now. Give baby. Mine, mine, mine.”
“I doubt you can put a second child into me right now. But I’ll take what you’ll give, Rex. Anything at all.”
-
“There are things a lot more important than how well you speak. You’re strong. You’ve survived crap that other people won’t even believe is real. Their opinions shouldn’t matter.”
-
“Push,” the midwife said. “Push.”
“Push,” Rex repeated.
“No,” Olson snarled, and he was so beautiful. “Stop telling me what to do.”
Yeah, Rex loved him with every last bit of his heart. “Okay. Love you.”
-
“I guess this is our happy ending.”
“Beginning. Life together. Just beginning.”
-
“They’re good kids.”
“They are. Want more?”
“Thought you’d never ask. I’d put more in you. Next heat I’ll pin you down and make you scream. Show you how much I love you.”

So this man let an unwashed alpha throw him over his shoulder and run off with him to parts unknown for rough sex? Because his eyes reminded him of his dead alpha's eyes?

And the unwashed alpha's cock rips through his pants?

Oh. Okay.

'It was... nice. Letting this alpha take his choice away. So Olson could just lie here and enjoy the ride without feeling guilty about anything.'

Well, go on then, Olson. Just lie back and think of England.

The overall vibe of this book is 'Will you let me hold it while you pee?'.

A lot of this is ridiculous. But also sweet because Olson lost his best friend who was also his alpha and this same alpha reincarnated and knew he had someone to find, found Olson when he was just 6, bit him and said, “I’ll come back to marry you,” “Don’t die.”

Though the leap from looking like his dead alpha to Rex being George's reincarnation was wild. How did Olson get there from they look alike and like the same flavor ice cream?

Let's not get started on him having needed to shave Rex's beard to know that he looked like his dead alpha. How thick was this beard for him to have not noticed this? I'm hoping the cover model isn't meant to be Rex because that beard hides nothing. The kind of beard that would obfuscate such a thing would need to be thick enough for squirrels to live in.

But fuck logic. Olson's alpha came back for him. And even without a wide vocabulary, he's such a good alpha.

Weird that there are no details of why Rex was kidnapped and seemingly tortured/experimented on. I wonder if that whole storyline was just so he'd return to Olson with some challenges? I wanted to know what happened to a 17 yeat old guy who was kidnapped and escaped at 21 with almost no ability to speak.

But maybe if the effects were that grave, I don't want to know what happened.

And at first I was so irritated by Emmy but by the end I was like, you know what, sure, let's call dicks 'butt blessings'. Whom does this hurt?

But maybe let's put Emmy on a list somewhere. Not for suspicious behavior but it feels like he needs monitoring of some sort. Just to be safe.

All the couples in this seem to have a ridiculous one and another one but I can't possibly imagine the kinds of conversations Emmy has with Varrick.

Still. I needed a fluffy read before I get into yet another substance abuse book and this delivered.

He would keep on letting this alpha touch him, because it somehow felt right. Even though they didn’t know each other at all.

YES TO ALL OF THIS DELICIOUSNESS.
Love that transcends death, possessiveness, filthy smut, a feral alpha à la Tarzan, and a cute cute cute HEA.

He buried his nose against that one spot and just breathed. Just held Olson in his arms. It felt like he’d come home.

Despite the reincarnation plot and Rex’s traumatic past, this was mostly fluff and smut and feels. Exactly what I needed.
I would’ve liked more of the before on page, and a more satisfying conclusion, BUT the romance and the spice were just so fucking good, the incomplete plot didn’t bother me as much.

“Mine,” Rex whispered. “I want to open you up and sit you down on my cock. Make you scream when I fuck inside you.”

Rex was all mineminemine, all feral and animalistic, a mix of cute and sexy and endearing, I couldn’t help but fall in love with him.

“You are good dream.” Rex grinned and pressed a kiss to Olson’s mouth. “I wake up. Find you. Is all good dream.”

The butt blessings were way too over the top, but again, I can let it slide. I had too much fun with this one to not give it a five, imperfections and all.

“I guess this is our happy ending,” Olson whispered against Rex’s lips. “Beginning,” Rex whispered back. “Life together. Just beginning.”

Reincarnation? HEA? I AM HERE!
The blurb pulled me in, but as I only wanted to check the book out, I skipped & skimmed a few scenes but the book got me hooked so I mostly read it till the sweet end! It was so cute & emotional! Just the cry & sweetness I needed today.

This is a fascinating & heartbreaking MM Omegaverse story. I wasn't able to make myself read the dreams #not chapters but out of curiosity, I did read the end of it 🥺.

I loved how patient the Omega is while integrating his alpha back into civilization, & Alpha's protectiveness ❤️.

Their friends were fun! The whole story premise is cool. I'd have liked to see the revenge scene, the end was great tho 🙌.

I'll hopefully fully read it in future.

“I’ll come back to marry you,” Rex blurted. “Don’t die.”

This was so adorably sweet. This was my first reincarnation romance and I gotta say I’m impressed, I’ll definitely check more books out with this trope.

I loved Rex and Olson. They were so perfect for each other. I loved how accepting Olson was of Rex and his struggles. And I loved how absolutely obsessed Rex was with his omega.

Read for sweet and f!lthy omegaverse with some emotional moments.

Rex and Olson

Okay, Rex gave me all the feels. I felt so bad for him. He waited his whole short life to get back to Olson and then it was stolen from him.

Olson was able to look past the impossible and see Rex for who he was. I loved how accepting he was of Rex. The storyline regarding Rex’s kidnappers did seem to wrap up abruptly, but, eh, I can look past it because I liked Rex and Olson together so much.

Of course there was a ton of heat, lots of sexy times and all that fun stuff. The downer side of this book for me was Emmy. I’m ready for his character to retire. Him and his butt blessings and horrible, not even remotely funny pick up need to go away.

I feel like this is the worse way to do a reincarnation storyline,
The way Olson just kept erasing Rex identity just because he couldn't get over his ex when he was seventeen mind you, even to invite George parents over and treat Rex real dad like some inconvenience felt distasteful,
Because at some I feel like his son doesn't exist anymore.
And not gonna lie some of the scenes are pretty cringe
Emmy is so unfunny I can't stand him.
I don't understand how it took so long for Rex to learn words, he needs to be checked up for that.

i can't even begin to say how much i loved this story. it was so different from most anything i've ever read. the writing is so good just brings you in and won't let you go. i read this in one day and couldn't wait to finish it and start the next (newer) book which i'm already 20% in. it's not a short story but still a quick read because it's just that good. i'm not super into A/B/O stories but i guess i'm starting to like them more and more and with this one im planning on checking out anything else this writer has written.

I really should have known this book was going to be a lot. From the moment a complete stranger walks into a bar, grabs the MC, drags him into the forest, and they immediately have sex with zero hesitation, I knew we were in trouble. Especially because later in the book, we suddenly get anxiety about heat season, condoms, and not wanting babies even though none of that concern existed during the forest hookup. The inconsistency was wild.

Honestly, nothing really happens in this book. It’s sex after sex, smut after smut, broken up by repetitive internal monologues about guilt and worry. We’re told the MC is devastated that he wasn’t there when Rex got kidnapped, yet he does absolutely nothing about it. It literally takes him forever to remember something as basic as cutting Rex’s beard after Jay already told him that the kidnappers might be looking for him. The urgency just isn’t there.

My biggest issue though is Rex’s complete lack of identity. His past lover, George, is dead for a reason. Rex is supposed to be his own person, yet Ollie cannot stop projecting George onto him. He keeps calling Rex by George’s name, as if Rex doesn’t even exist as an individual. It becomes less about Rex and more about Ollie refusing to let go of his ex. On top of that, the story turns into endless help Rex function scenes teaching him how to write how to communicate until it all just feels exhausting and, honestly cringy.

And don’t even get me started on the family dynamics. Rex’s dad is treated like a stranger almost like a thief—just because he isn’t George’s father. Meanwhile George’s parents are brought into Rex’s life as replacements while Rex’s actual dad is still alive. That alone made me want to scream.

Every part of this book irritated me. The pacing, the characters, the logic none of it worked for me. I pushed through to 50%, but I couldn’t do it anymore.

What an interesting premise! In this omegaverse book, Olson (an omega) has lost his alpha partner George at a young age. Despite it being 21 years since his loss, Olson can’t move on. That is until a wild, caveman-like man shows up at the bar Olson owns, and pretty much kidnaps him to have sexy times on the spot. This wild alpha looks and smells exactly like the late George!

The blurb initially hooked me! I’ve been reading a little more omegaverse these days, and this one seemed to have a cool reincarnation plotting! Despite it having mpreg (which I’m not a fan of), I decided I’d just skip over that part, and enjoy the rest of the book. So let me be clear, the fact that it has a trope I don’t like does not affect my low rating.

I’ve gotta be honest here, I did not like this book. The writing quality was low, the story felt all over the place, and the general vibe just didn’t resonate with me. The actions of the characters were SO strange, and the things they were saying just sounded weird?? I think some people might find it funny or be able to take it seriously (I honestly can’t tell what the intended reactions as a reader are supposed to be), but I just didn’t get it.

This book gets 2⭐️ for an interesting premise, and for the fact that I think someone other than me might enjoy it. But the plot, characters, and writing style were a miss for me in this one.

This was a journey that was difficult to read at times, because I empathized with the fated couple and their cruel separation. To see how far they had come and their patience Rex and Olson both required to get there was stunning and gratifying. The epilogue seemed to bring it all full circle and a very worthwhile read. Impactful.

Oh my goodness, this was adorable.
Ugh, will need to reread. The only thing I can think of that annoyed me was Emmy but at the end I was even a fan of him and think I need to read his story too.

NSFW infos:
Rex: Alpha
Olson: Omega, 21 years older than alpha

Coincidence?

This book sees Olson finding his alpha who is so much like his previous deceased alpha.
Rex's story is one of longing, then pain, followed by love. You will laugh, cry & love with these 2 men as they find their HEA.

Oh I know this isnt Emmys book but as always we are blessed with butt blessings!

This is a second chance love with a twist read. Rex has always know Olsen was his and his fight (dreams) to return to him take us down an unexpected path!

This mpreg read is full of hot moments, love, overcoming obstacles and finding your family however that may be.

A brilliant alpha/omega read from Anna Wineheart, this time with a reincarnation element that adds a little more heartache but equal happiness as two souls meant for each other are reunited.
Olson and Rex share a clear bond, even when Rex is at his most feral, though the alpha clearly understands what people are saying to him, it's his responses that are harder to start with. Olson takes the time to reacclimate him to civilisation but it's when the signs keep coming that point to Rex having too much likeness to his alpha, George, who died twenty one years ago, that Olson really freaks out, which is understandable.
Anna has written a heartwarming story that has a little bit of a darker undertone with Rex's kidnapping and confinement. Luckily, we don't find out too much about that. It's more that we have glimpses of the past from when George was alive and he and Olson were becoming best friends and bond mates. Rex's development as we go through the story is great as Olson takes such time and care with him, showing him everything he has forgotten but also making sure he's safe by asking their friends to watch out for him and teach self defence, which is where the Danger Alpha Brotherhood comes in.
It's always fun to have old characters come up in new books. Emmy is as delightful as every with his butt blessings along with his husband, Varrick, who is also Olson's brother.
Another wonderful series from Anna Wineheart who has a great mix of heart, heat and fun. I'm looking forward to whoever's story comes up next.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Anna Wineheart wrote a great Alpha/Omega story. It starts with a young boy, Rex who knew his omega the minute he saw him, Olson. The tug of fated mate was so strong for young Rex that he went up to Olson and told him he’d be back to marry him and left his bonding mark on Olson’s wrist. Years go by and Rex is old enough to claim his omega again but is kidnapped before he is reunited with Olson.

It was years later that Rex escaped his confinement by the kidnappers, and during the time he was there, lab people did all sorts of injections and tortured Rex. By the time Rex Resurfaces he has brutal scars all over his body, is more muscular in stature, has lost many of his memories and how to speak, and he’s a more feral animal than human. The only thing he could remember was he had to find Olson, which kept his human side.

This love story is about reincarnation and a love that carries on even after death. Now, there are so many things Rex has to relearn, but he is dedicated to Olson and wants to protect him at all costs. Olson has had a hard time forgetting his last Alpha after he had died, and when Rex showed up with so many things that his previous Alpha, he had to wrap his brain around it and believe it was true.

A beautiful story and well-written, and I enjoyed reading it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Disrespectfully, wtf? Sick and twisted.

I really tried to like this, but it's another insane fucking age-gap. Maybe I've just phased out of the trope 😔. I can see a 10 year difference, but 21 years?? A 21 y/o lusting after a 42 y/o since the aforementioned was 6 years old (said love interest was 27 at the time and voiced ZERO reservations about this). The smut scenes every chapter made this read like a wattpad story weekly update. Filler chapter after filler chapter. Olson also expressed very little interest in reuniting Rex with his father TO HEAL AND REHABILITATE - which was toxic as hell considering Rex's backstory and lack of ability to communication. Rex was being used for sex, and I'll die on that hill. Every single character pissed me tf off.

I'm gonna hold your hand when I tell you this... 0 stars.

Love across time

I have been waiting for Olson's story since beginning of this series and I was not disappointed.
Rex has been adamant since he was younger that Olsen was his omega.
He suffered through horrific abuse but he never forgot Olsen.
He fought his way back to him and learned how to reintigrate himself back into society.
There's lots of laughter and also painful moments but in the end love prevails across time.

Rex y Olson me parecieron entretenidos y pasables.

Such a great read! I’ve been waiting for Olson’s story for so long and I’m so happy he finally got an alpha. Rex is 21, which is the exact amount of years since Olson lost his alpha at the age of 17. Rex has known his whole life that he was going to marry Olson, even though he didn’t know who he was yet. I’ve never read a reincarnation plot before in a story and I loved it. On his way to Olson, Rex is kidnapped and put through a lot of torture and pain for 4 years. Rex eventually escapes his captors and finds Olson, but Rex is more feral animal than man after being held in captivity for so long. This is such a great romance story and I absolutely loved it! Cannot wait for the next book and some more of Emmy’s butt blessings!

I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I'm being nice and rounding up. There were many plot lines that should've been explored or expanded. There were a ton of questionable decisions made by the characters. Some characters actions made absolutely no sense. If you ignore all that then this isn't super bad. I've learned that this is how this author writes. Ridiculous, scattered, and OTT. Also I still absolutely hate Emmy. I had to skip his parts in this because he is that super annoying and unlikeable to me.

The fated mates and reincarnation is what drew my attention, but omfg I was not ready for the alpha to be so traumatized that he acted more like a child than a feral animal. It would have been better had he not been able to talk at all and we didn't get his POV.

There was a lot wrong with this for me. There was so much left out or glossed over. Why was he kidnaped, what experiments did they do on him, how did he escape, how was it that he could think clearly and understand what others were saying but had to be taught words.... I could understand him not being able to speak but how can he understand some stuff but have to learn the word fuck.
How the fuck did 2 guys take down a kidnapping ring that had taken at least 200+ ppl

The side character with butt blessings was just annoying even though they were supposed to be cute.

There was more but those were the main things.

4 ⭐️

My ratings with these books are always based on how much I enjoyed them. This one is the same.

As always with this author, the writing and reactions are cheesy and some degree of OTT 90% of the time, but there is major commitment to the story and the vibes, so it works enough to be entertaining. Like a soap opera! And I always wait to read this author when I want something focused on blunt plot points, don’t mind the cheese, and want a lot of sex scenes. This delivers on all of that. And knowing what I would get meant no surprises and I could just let go and enjoy. While clunky at times the editing was pretty good so that helped the read seem smoother. And as always the sex is slightly OTT but the commitment is awesome and really makes the scenes all enjoyable for me.

Some incongruities, some typos. Olson “wheezing” every single time he orgasmed got weird. POV changed without warning within a chapter.

Olson is a cis white gay omega who is approximately 38-42. He’s described as “A thin, willowy man with blond hair and gray eyes, freckles across his face.”

Rex is a cia white gay(?) alpha who is 21.

Lol, they just decided reincarnation is the most likely reason Rex looks like George and ran with it! 😆

I did not understand why Rex got self-defense training but Olson did not?

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that there were alpha-omega pairs where the woman was the alpha and the man was the omega. 👍 👍 👍
So rare to see but so appreciated!

Some of this stuff actually made me a little teary-eyed, like the scene where George was murdered.

Also I did really liked having an MC effectively with a language and speech impediments (and difficulty learning and using any kind of language written or otherwise, though he had no receptive issues with language). This is rare in a romantic main character.

I was completely THRILLED that Olson got to actively do something to protect Rex (he shoots a bad guy or two), especially because he wasn’t able to protect George when they were kids (not that it was in any way his fault, I just appreciate now as an adult he learned to shoot and used it to protect Rex).

Everything about Emmy confused me and was not my favorite.

I’m still confused about what the Danger Alphas are. I get that it’s Storm and Jag and those guys. But why are they training together? Why are they called that???

Contains:
—age gap (older omega, younger alpha)
—grief
—death of partner (past)
—child kidnapping, imprisonment, experimentation and torture of MC for 4 years (from age 17-21)
—dubious consent for bond marking (twice) between MCs
—scene of two 16 year olds taking nude photos of one another (flashback of George and Olson)
—pregnancy kink (and actual pregnancy)
—unsafe sex
—slight belly bulge (not from pregnancy)
—bad guys threaten to shoot an infant
—stabbed to death on page
—somnophilia (discussed and consented to prior)
—on page birth
—epilogue 5 years later

Other:
—third person dual POV that changes randomly
—cheating: no
—romantic rival: no
—break up: no
—kids: yes, sort of. Olson gets pregnant and stays that way for half the book. The kids aren’t actually seen until the 5 years later epilogue
—sex: several explicit sex scenes on page. Strict roles with Rex topping and Olson bottoming.
—HEA: yes

When Rex’s knot went down, he didn’t pull out immediately. His come began trickling out, though—there was so much of it that it leaked out around him. That wasn’t good. So Rex withdrew slowly, using his fingers to scoop up his come, pushing it back into Olson’s gaping, wet hole. Then he pushed his cock back in, to keep all of his marking inside his omega.

The smut version of 'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie'

If you read the feral Alpha, you'll find out about Varrick and Emmy. And then when you start to read about Varrick and Emmy, it will make you very curious about Otto and Caulin and Shaw and Murphy. And then when you read about Otto and Caulin as well as Shaw and Murphy, you want to go back and read about Quentin and his step brother as well as Phinny and Blaze. So if you start one of these books, you might get sucked into a chain reaction where you end up reading seven of them in less than a week.

*SPOILERS*
All of that aside, I did not expect to like a reincarnation story, but I did and it was really sweet. I wasn't sure how the author was going to handle making Rex his own character instead of just a clone of George. But I didn't have to worry about that, because she didn't. Poor Rex was abducted for 3 years and experimented on so that he basically doesn't remember being Rex at all, and just has snapshots of George's memory in his head. I didn't love it, it didn't really give reincarnation story, it's almost like Rex was gone and George just came back. So, I think this author could work on character development A LOT. But dialogue and spice are 10 Stars.

I really want to rate this higher but I just can’t. Rex was just so overdone. The whole kidnap/experimentation issue is just skipped over but then brought up constantly like it’s gonna be a big thing. I would have loved a full chapter or two of what actually happened to him. Hell those dreams could have been flashbacks of that instead of useless George stuff. I’m disappointed in how his character was written. And he was my favorite. I’m supposed to believe he went in fully functioning but came out the way he did bbuuuuttt with a fully functioning mental capacity. We should have never had his point of view because his thoughts made his condition so much more wrong. Ok ok just the speech thing. It bugged me that he could string together full intellectual thoughts and could only speak like a cave man learning to talk. Coming from Anna I don’t see why the kidnapping was skipped anyways. She writes pretty brutal stuff sometimes.
Olson on the other hand just came off wanton and lonely. He craved his past alpha and somehow got him back. No matter how Rex came I believe Olson was gonna take him in.

Putting down as a new favorite.

I really liked the concept in this one. 95% of the time I like Anna's work. Sometimes it gets a little too weird for me in the sexy times and I'm not big on public sexy times but I still love her work and stories. They aren't just another wash and rinse story. I look through tons of mpreg stories by other authors and they all have the same plot and title. I also like that her stories aren't just fluff, cinnamon rolls, and warm fuzzies. I like the whole secret agent stuff and the broken Alphas and Omegas being saved. This one was so good. I loved all of it. I loved that there was pretty much no drama between the main characters. I loved Olson and Rex. I even enjoyed Emmy, usually he is too much for me. His is probably the only book I didn't enjoy so far. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil. So I'll just say I loved the story and how it all worked out. Now I want to know about Jag and Niall(spelling?) and see if someone saves Aaren(spelling?)

Review of The Feral Alpha by Anna Wineheart

Do you believe in reincarnation? Fated mates? Butt blessings?
After this story you might believe in all three.
The Feral Alpha is a must read for any one who likes a great story that will make you cry, laugh and root for an HEA.
Between the mysterious “cave alpha” named Rex that appears and has an obsession with Olson to Olson who welcomes that alpha into his home and everything in between I couldn’t put this down.
While there is an amazing cast of characters one stands out, Emmy. Emmy is such an amazing Yang to Olsons Yin. His butt blessings are also a thing to die for.
The only thing I was disappointed in was that we never learn exactly why what happened to Rex happened. Even with that though it was a strong five-star book.
So, if you love HEA, Mpreg, laughing, crying, and of course sex than this is the book for you.
Just a warning though:
The book does contain kidnapping, violence with both mental and physical abuse.
