The stories in this book are the poetic reflections of a retired CEO and father, Rick C. Jones. Every poem tells a story, from growing up in rural Wyoming to harrowing testimonies of faith and the power of missionary work as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, these captivating stories will warm your heart and soul.
This book contains two chapters. The first chapter describes the characteristics of a good father using our dad as an earthly example of a good father and the Lord God as the picture of the ideal Father. The second chapter describes the hardships that fathers go through for their families and neighbors. From my experiences and knowledge of history, the poems in this book ring true wither it is interacting with your children or teaching them a lesson that they will use when they grow up. It is well worth reading.
These are reflective of the love a Father has for his son , and the Love and concern a Son has for his Father.
I am gaining a testimony ; of the love God has for his children. He is intimately involved with all aspects of our lives; not only “church”. He laughs and cries at our inability grow up! His patience with our lives is endless.
