A Bay Ridge Royals/82nd Street Vandals Novella

There’s a war brewing, and I’m right in the middle of it ready to crush anyone who gets in my way…

I was born into this world. Power and wealth are the keys to controlling it, but they aren’t everything. They are a means to an end when it comes to protecting the people I care about. I’ve known my destiny since I was old enough to sit at the table. Everything in my life has been focused on preparing me for the future. Know your enemies, your allies, and the people in the middle you can buy.

When he first appeared in my life, I had no idea who he was, but I never forgot his pretty face. While it’s been years and I barely recognize him, I can’t get enough. He doesn’t belong in my world and he has no idea how truly dangerous it is.

Turns out, I’ll do anything to save my best friend, cross any line, and destroy him if I have to…

Released previously as part of the Billionaires and Babes anthology for charity. While you do not have to read the 82nd Street Vandals to read this novella, it will enhance the experience. This novella takes place during books four and five.

I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

GAH I have been SO excited about this Vandals spin-off series ever since we met Milo and Lainey in the 82nd Street Vandals world. And Heather delivers a deliciously enticing start to their story- AND I NEED MORE!

Heather always deliver such feisty and compelling heroines- I mean, they gotta be when they have to wrangle so may alpha men, LOL. But she also always gives them emotional substance and depth, and I can already tell Lainey's complexity is just pouring off the pages. I adored her toughness and fire from the moment we met her, and I'm exhilarated to have a glimpse of the story to come from this novella and the first foray into the Bay Ride Royals Series. It's a perfect cross over.

BUT MILO. I've had a soft spot from him from the start. Like legit creepily wanted him in the harem because I wanted to experience book boyfriend Milo..which obvi EW because he's Emersyn's brother, but he's just that compelling. I AM THIRSTY FOR HIM- and I already love his dynamic with Lainey. These two tough and fierce characters are going to be brought to their knees by the others, and it's gonna be a hella wild ride.

I'm curious to see who elese will get into the mix, I'm oddly protective over this pairing given that we're starting with a focus on their connection, so other players are gonna have to really sparkle for me to want them at the table. But I trust in Heather. The chemistry between these two burns the pages, and I'm ready (and nervous LOL) for what Heather has in store in this new series.

Oh my Lanta I just KNEW this was going to be fire!

What a scorcher in more ways than one! Phew! Lainey is a tough cookie and yay for girl power but she definitely met her match in Milo. And dang was it a blast of heat when those two managed to get together. I mean I'm definitely team Milo all the way...and Adam and Ezra if they can manage to finally get over themselves. This may the wake up call they both need to finally see Lainey and cut the whole we have to protect her crap. Going by the epilogue I would say one of the 2 tweedles is finally getting on board the Lainey train. Looking forward to the next installment as always.

We met Lainey and Milo in the 82nd Street Vandals Series. Those books centered on Emersyn/Ivy who is Lainey's best friend and Milo's sister. The forward of this book will catch you up so you definitely won't be lost if you haven't read Vandals.

This book begins with a look at the past when Lainey first encounters Milo. She's run away from her boarding school to be with Emersyn for her birthday in Florida. Oh, what a fun trip that was, at least until Adam her almost stepbrother, and his best friend Ezra show up. That's when Lainey names him Pretty Boy since she doesn't know his name.

Chapter One brings us to the present as Lainey is traveling to the warehouse with Rome and Freddie. She has information about Emersyn that needs to be addressed quickly and efficiently by the Vandals. She's more than a little surprised to find that Pretty Boy is not only there, but he is Emersyn's brother. Mind you she still doesn't know his name, but she never forgot his face.

Once Doc arrives, Lainey tells them what she knows about Emersyn. She's been put in Pinetree, an exclusive psychiatric facility. They need to get her out of there before anything else happens to her.

After all that Milo locks her in his room, for her safety. She takes a shower and when she asks him for her suitcase, he takes forever to bring it up, but he does bring food with him.

Things just get hotter and hotter between these two as they wait for word on Emersyn getting out of Pinetree. Freddy is in, with Rome and Liam waiting nearby. Vaughn and Kellan are doing business as usual to prevent anyone from knowing what they're really up to.

I loved finding out what went on between Milo and Lainey behind those closed doors. I always wondered. They have so much chemistry the pages practically melt even before they do more than kiss.

Plenty of snark, lots of reminiscing and plenty of sizzling heat, grace the pages of this novella and an OMG ending I didn't see coming at all.

I can't wait for the first full book in this series. So glad it's not going to be a long wait.

This is the first book in this series Bay Ridge Royals and is a dark romance, forced proximity, why choose romance, best friends brother and this little novella is a must read.

Lainey is a tough chick and gives as good as she gets.
Lainey's best friend seems to have disappeard and she'll do anything to help find her. Her best friends older brother Milo is on hand to help.

I absolutely love these characters and this harem and I loved the connection between Lainey and Milo, the chemistry is sizzling hot. I love how this author literally makes us feel everything that the characters are going through. I love that this book pulls on your emotions and this plot sets us up so great that I can't wait to read the other books. The alpha males in this book will set your kindle a light. Phew!!

This book is a fantastic start to this series and this novella really packs alot in and leaves you desperate for this rest of the series. I read this book in one sitting its a real page turner.

More like 2.5 ⭐️

Idk why but this book didn’t hold my attention at all. The only one I like is Milo, but if Bodhi is joining that would make me real happy. I bought the whole series so I’ll keep going. Full review to come at end of series.

TITLE: Shamelessly Loyal
GENRE: Dark Romance
AUTHOR: Heather Long
TROPE: Forced Proximity, Why Choose
TYPE: Series (Bay Ridge Royals Book 1)
POV: Dual POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

I am not typically a fan of novella-length books, but Shamlessly Loyal did not feel as rushed as other novellas I have read. Shamelessly Loyal is a crossover with the start of the Bay Ridge Royal Series and 82nd Street Vandals series. I am new to author Heather Long, and I will admit I enjoyed her writing and the storyline even without prior knowledge of the 82nd Street Vandal series.

The Shamelessly Loyal centers around Lainey (Mayhem), who is working to help locate her missing best friend. In her quest to help find her friend, she ends up teaming up with her best friend's older brother, Milo.

Shamelessly Loyal was a solid start for the series, and I look forward to seeing what happens with these characters in the next installment of the series Battle Lines. I am giving a rating of 4 / 5 stars.

Shamelessly Loyal: A Novella of Power, Passion, and Unlikely Alliances

Heather Long kicks off the Bay Ridge Royals series with a bang! Get ready for a wild ride of power plays, passionate connections, and a protagonist who's shamelessly loyal.

In the heart of Bay Ridge, where power and wealth rule, our main character is born into a world where control is everything. The stage is set for a brewing war, and they're right in the thick of it, ready to take down anyone who threatens their people. Destiny has been the name of the game since childhood, and navigating the fine line between enemies, allies, and those in the middle is a skill they've honed to perfection.

Enter the mystery element – a face from the past that refuses to be forgotten. As years pass, the connection grows, but there's a catch. This person doesn't belong in their world, and they're oblivious to the danger lurking in the shadows.

The novella is a pulse-pounding journey of doing whatever it takes to save a best friend, even if it means crossing lines and standing ready to crush anyone who dares to interfere. It's a high-stakes, emotionally charged narrative that grabs you from the first page.

What makes Shamelessly Loyal a standout is its ability to pack a punch in the romance, action, and suspense departments, all while being the first installment of a series. Long's writing is vibrant, painting a vivid picture of Bay Ridge and its inhabitants. You'll find yourself immersed in the characters' world, cheering for them through every twist and turn.

For lovers of messy, complicated connections and a story that keeps you hooked till the end, this is a must-read. The Bay Ridge Royals series kicks off with a bang, promising readers a thrilling ride through a world where loyalty is everything.

Oh how this was like coming home for me! I first met Milo and Lainey in 82nd Street Vandals which finished a few months back, so getting to go back to this world but this time from the POV from two characters that I feel like I know already so well was just perfect. Also can’t not mentioned the little cameo from Fletcher, again another fantastic guy from another series by Heather and I just love how she connects these worlds.

I absolutely love Lainey and have done since I was first introduced to her way back when, getting inside her head though and seeing just how loyal and determined she is for those she loves is everything. Mayhem really is a perfect name for her because the gambling situation? Oh my how I love a possessive man and Lainey sure did bring that out in Milo.

Milo I’ve also loved from the beginning, even when I’ve wanted to smack him in the head and yell ‘STOP TAKING YOUR SISTER AWAY FROM HER FAMILY’ a time or two you just know it’s all deep down coming from a place of love. I’ve already witnessed just how many scars Milo has and I’m looking forward to getting further inside his head to see just how deep they go and have Lainey with him along the way.

Ezra I’m so intrigued by, the one little POV from him at the end has made me realise I really don’t know him at all and I absolutely can’t wait for his personality to unfold. I have a feeling Lainey has got herself surrounded by some jealous/possessive men that are going to butt heads more than once..

I love that this is going to be why choose, even more so that it isn’t a full formed group of friends like the usual, I’m so intrigued to see the dynamics of the group in the rest of the series!

4.5⭐️ 3🌶️

Narrative POV: First person, dual POV
Length: 167p (novella)
Reading format: Kindle

Tropes: best friend’s brother, gangs, elite society, good girl x bad boy, MF but series will be why choose

📖 I have been sooo excited for this series because I absolutely LOVED the 82nd Street Vandals series and Bay Ridge Royals is a spin off, with this novella as a true crossover taking place within the 82nd St timeline. You don’t absolutely have to have read the previous series to start Bay Ride Royals, but you can expect some spoilers in this series, so just know that going in. I have been obsessed with Milo from the very beginning, so no surprise I still love him to the very marrow. He has had it so rough and I just want him to be happy and receive love like he so deserves. We got some Milo POV in Vandals so this wasn’t the first time I was in his head, but it was the first time with respect to Lainey! And speaking of Lainey, she is one fierce B, and she really shone in this! She was always such an incredible friend to Emersyn and getting inside her head, even in this 167 pages, was amazing. They were absolute fire together! He was possessive in all the perfect ways, and she was sassy and witty and knew just how to drive him mad. There is one surprise trope that I’m not giving away, but I think it was a perfect addition.
I am absolutely obsessed with why choose and I’m excited to see where this goes. But if it goes where I think it will, Milo has a rough road ahead lol. Lainey, get read to keep those boys in line! Battle Lines, book 2, comes out on October 17th, so the wait won’t be long!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

If you have read the 82nd Street Vandals series, then you have met Lainey and Milo in that series. If you haven't read it though you will still be ok. The beginning of this book tells you all you need to know so you're not lost. This is a crossover and the first book in the Bay Ridge Royals Series.
We get to see how Lainey first met Milo. Lainey was in boarding school and wants to see her bestie Emersyn for her birthday in Florida. This is a fun little adventure and where she meets Pretty Boy. She thinks she will never see these people again but in the present he is about to make an appearance because he is her bestie's brother She has information about Emerysn that needs to be addressed quickly and the Vandals are the one to do that. Poor Emersyn has been forced into Pinetree, an exclusive psychiatric facility and needs to be rescued before something else happens to her. Lainey never expected to get to spend so much time with Milo, but that is exactly what will happen while they wait for word of Emersyn. I know this all sounds so confusing. I think I"m trying to tell you about the book but not spoil anything and I'm probably sounding so confusing. When you read this story you will be hooked. I loved these characters and they really have the best connection and banter while they are saving of Emersyn is taking place. This is just a novella so be prepared for that. But it will have you hooked for sure.

“It was always you.”
Quotes:“You love my sister,” he countered, and I smirked as I set the empty cup down in the holder. “So? You love her too. Loving her doesn’t make me a good person. Just means I’m willing to get dirty to protect her.” No matter what it costs.
She was very much a flame in my darkness. Incandescent and pure, with a kind of brilliance I thought you could only find when you flew too close to the sun.
“She doesn’t see a stranger,” Mayhem told me as she washed her arms. “She sees a man who loves her without reservation and demand. She isn’t totally sure what to do with that.”
“Life isn’t fair.” Three words, so much meaning. “Life has never been fair. You don’t get what you deserve. You get what you negotiate and fight for."

This first book of the Bay Ridge Royals, Shamelessly Loyal can be considered a novella placed between the Bay Ridge Royals and 82nd Street Vandals series which after this novella I absolutely must read...
Lainey 'Mayhem' Benedict has a very strong sense of protection towards her best friend Emersyn that she would even risk her own existence for. But she hasn't calculated that Milo will become her absolute weak point.
Milo is inclined to command but he hasn't calculated how much the women who are part of his life will be the real protagonists. The way he was with Lainey made me melt.
I never wanted to finish this novella because the chemistry between them will make you feel really warm. I can't wait to continue with the next volume.Don t miss to read the epilogue 😍🔥❤️‍🔥 For me rating :5 ⭐

"Etiquette is armor. Politeness a weapon. All you have to know is when to wield it." Violence is a part of her life and she's been surviving since she was seven. Elaine Benedict was born into wealth and privilege; Lainey understands better than anyone how to play the game and wields her power to protect the few she loves. Emersyn Sharpe is her chosen sister, and she will destroy the world to protect her. She had no idea Pretty Boy was Em's brother but it explains why he was there years ago. Seems they both took risks to see their 'sister'. Now they will work together to save her.

This novella is the crossover book from the 82nd Street Vandals series to the new Bay Ridge Royals book. It features Lainey and Milo; set during a key plotline in the Vandals series, and it would be best if you read that entire series first to provide background and context. I loved Em and her Vandals, big brother Milo, and bestie Lainey in the 82nd Vandal series. Milo and Lainey deserve their stories. I adored the flashback scenes. Lainey's loyalty, Milo's love and protectiveness make my heart happy. However, I am in the minority here that I don't feel the need for a spin-off series. I would have been content with a spin-off book. I also could do without Ezra and Adam. Not a fan. The Royals didn't intrigue me when they were first introduced. In fact, they irritated me at times because they took Liam away from the Vandals. However, I did find the reveal of the King interesting and do like the idea of Milo getting justice/revenge/closure. This book was entertaining and well-written, as expected. It answered questions and gave different viewpoints. I will keep an open mind and am sure Heather will draw me in and prove to me I need this spin-off. After all, I ended up loving her last spin-off even more than the original series.

Shamelessly Loyal
By Heather Long @heathervlong
10/10

Shamelessly Loyal is a crossover novella that bridges The 82nd Street Vandals series and the Bay Ridge Royals series. Can I start with saying Heathers characters are top notch and you fall in love with them, so when she does something like a cross over, all your hopes and dreams are brought to life, she will crush them along the way but you know she will make up for it later!

Lainey is Emersyn's best friend. They have been best friends for years and we've met Lainey before. Milo, is Emersyns brother, and when Lainey comes to help sort out where Emersyn was taken, they find a magnetic pull to each other.

Lainey has always been a the bomb. We get small glimpses into her life in the 82nd Street Vandals, but it's only a peek at what Lainey has to deal with.

I loved seeing how Milo and Lainey had met each other before and hadn't known it, after all he made an impression way back then. Milo and Lainey are fire no one expected. My favorite men are the strong leave me alone ill protect everyone and it has to go my way or else!

I cannot wait for the first full book of the series to come out, I can't wait to meet the other interests, I can't wait to see Ezra has planned, and I can't wait for pretty boy and mayhem to reunite.

This was so freaking good. This is just the prequel to the new series Bay Ridge Royals has coming and boy is there going to be twists and turns and so many secrets I wouldn't expect anything less from Heather, and you can bet I'm here for it all.

This series is going to center around Lainey and Milo and few others that need to get their heads out of their behinds, but in this story we get the story of how Milo and Lainey first met, which was in the 82nd Vandal series featuring Emersyn/Ivy who is his sister and you don't need to have read the series, but it's so good why miss out on it. Lainey is sorta kidnapped but is it really kidnapping when you know them lol. Milo is about to have kittens as he's been fighting his attraction for Mayhem (Lainey) ever since she showed up at the clubhouse. She's only known him as Pretty Boy from their 1st meet, since at the time she didn't know his name and has been attracted to him, and now that they're in close proximity to each other thing's begin to heat up fast, and out of that feeling's that neither want to spill.

Yeh, this is just the 1st book and thing's are only going to get more intense with the next book's in the series. I can't wait.

This is book 1 in the Bay Ridge Royals Series. I will say its more of a novella and as stated by the author, it is short and only 167 pages or so. My advice before starting this series....Read Heather's 82nd Street Vandals Series first. You can read this one without reading the other series, but there is a lot of information from the first series that has a large impact on this story. The author does a tremendous job in telling you where this book takes place within the vandals series as these storylines are taking place at the same time. If you don't want spoilers from that series of books...don't read this one yet.

This series is focused on Lainey, Emersyn's best friend. Lainey has come to the Vandals warehouse to help them get Emersyn back (This takes place around book 3 of the Vandals series) We get a great beginning for this brand new story set in the same world. We also see a lot of Milo/Pretty Boy (Emersyn's Brother). The story is focused on Lainey and their relationship and how it begins. There is a lot that is eluded too and we do not get a lot of answers but we do get a hint about the war and what is to come. This book leaves on a crazy cliffhanger and believe me when I tell you that Heather's writing is addictive and you will need book 2 ASAP. If you have read any of Heathers books, you know how she snags you and hauls you right into the story. This book and starting series is no different and I will be first in line to pick up the next in the series. This book gets 5 stars

In love at book 1!!!

Heather Long is the queen at giving me FMC’s I want to be besties with. I fell in love with Lainey in 82nd Street Vandals and so happy she is now getting her story.

This first book in the Bay Ridge Royals, Shamelessly Loyal. Is also labeled as a crossover novella between Bay Ridge Royals and 82nd Street Vandals, which if you have not read I highly recommend it.

Lainey ‘Mayhem’ Benedict, is fiercely protective of her bestie Emersyn. To the point that she is willing to risk herself if need be. What she might not have counted on is just how much Milo (Emersyn’s brother) just might become her weakness.

Milo is used to being in charge, the crew he runs with the other Vandals looked to him for years as a leader. But he has quickly learned the women now in his life, seem to be running the show. He can growl and grumble all he wants but Lainey only bends when she wants to. Milo’s attention towards ‘Mayhem’ has me swooning at moments.

This novella is just long enough to entertain and have you panting 😮‍💨 with the chemistry between them. The teaser of what’s to come has me so excited for what’s next.

I was so happy to hear that we were going back to Braxton Harbour because I really wasn't ready to say goodbye to any of these characters just yet. Lainey/Milo's series Bay Ridge Royals is set in the same world as The 82nd Street Vandals and can be read seperate. But I absolutely love love love world building so I am extremely glad to have already experienced The Vandals.

When we first met Lainey at the age of 12, I knew right away she was going to be a character I needed to know more about. Then and now, she was and still is sassy, stubborn, snarky, bossy, so incredibly loyal and we haven't even scratched the surface of her background, who she is now and what part she is going to play in this world.

I already have so many theories swirling around inside my head about what is going to go down in this series. But the only things I know for sure..... is that I am sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation for the next book and that we are in for a wild ride. It's going to be so good. I can't wait!!!!

"At the same time, I wasn’t sure even Rome’s artistic talent could have done Mayhem justice..."
Loyalty is a hard commodity to find in Milo's world. Loyalty is a currency Lainey knows well. She will do what she needs to do in order to protect the ones she cares about. Even if that means using her looks and money to her advantage. Milo can appreciate an intelligent, independent woman. And he's not the only one...

Holy hotness, Heather! Once again, you have blown me away with a 5/5 read. Shamelessly Loyal is my first introduction to the 82nd storyline, and I am kicking myself for not diving into this world sooner. This novella was a genius bridge between the two stories. Lainey is such a strong female lead. It has been a while since I read a book where the fmc gives as good as she gets. I was giggling and kicking my feet at Milo and Lainey's banter the whole time. Let's not forget about the tension...once it snaps between Lainey and Milo, all bets were off. The end had my heart hurting and my stomach in knots! I'm so curious to see where the rest of Bay Ridge Royals will take us.

That. Was. Perfect. I've been wanting more Milo and Lainey ever since Dirty Devil, especially more details of their time together, and Heather absolutely delivered. This was such a perfect start to their series, I loved their banter and spice and getting to see some more of what happened while we were at Pinetree with Em and Freddie.

Milo and Lainey are seriously so dang good together. Their first time together had me giggling and gasping. Their tension heating to boiling point and bubbling over was everything I was hoping for. And watching Milo let go with her melted my heart. Don't get me wrong, he's clearly still incredibly tight... But his softness with her was adorable and I can't wait for more.

While reading the vandals story I wondered if Lainey would just end up with Milo or if Ezra and Adam were going to be a more spicy part of her story too and it definitely looks like that's the case. I'm really excited to see how Milo and Adam and Ezra put aside their differences for Lainey and if anyone else is joining the mix. I can't wait for Battle Lines.

This is the first book in the Bay Ridge Royals series and ties together characters from this series and The 82nd Street Vandals series. You can understand this book without reading the previous series, but it will spoil some things for Vandals.
This mainly follows Milo and Lainey as they were waiting for some of the guys to get Emersyn (Milo's sister and Lainey's best friend) out of trouble. While waiting, they are forced to spend a lot of time together, and though they try to resist each other, they can't.
I love all the books in this world I have read so far. This was no exception. It was a quick read. There wasn't much new information, but it did fill in some gaps with different POVs from what I'd read in Vandals. I can't wait for the rest of this series and see more of these characters. I've been interested in Milo and Lainey's story for a while now, and I'm excited they finally have their own series.

Perfect prequel
I am sooo excited for this series after the taster Heather has provided us here 😆
This focuses on Pretty Boy and Mayhem (Milo and Lainey) from their first encounter at Disneyland (you may remember this from the Vandals) right through to the point that Emersyn is kidnapped. You get the story of what happened between them and boy oh boy do they get up to somethings 🔥🌶️ they clearly have deep feelings for each other but you get the sense that Lainey has got more things going on at home that she needs to be back for! As well as the other two men who seem to be circling around her life 😳
You can absolutely read this as a standalone it would just help with timeline reference points if you have read the Vandals.
Looking forward to seeing where this is going 😃

OH MILO I LOVE YOU!

I have been desperate for this story, needing to know how it started behind doors. Reading Emersyn's and her 82nd Street Vandals story, I absolutely adored Lainey for being the strong and loyally fierce bestie to Emersyn and Milo for being everything a girl wants in an older brother. He is fiercely protective and has this enormous heart that will make you love him. I loved reading this book, getting their POVS and seeing their reactions to each other. Although you knew something had happened between them, the start of their story is so much more amazing that I thought it to be. I loved seeing other sides to Milo and Lainey, she's become one of my favourite FMCs and Milo has become another book boyfriend that Heather has given me (no one else writes men like she does - they're amazing). I can't wait to see how Lainey's story will unfold.

Incredible!

Ok so 82 street vandals is one of my all time favorite series and I can’t thank Heather Long enough for not making us wait to long to kick off Lainey’s story. I’ve been missing these characters and this novella proves that this series is going to be just as amazing as it’s predecessor.

The book starts with some backstory to help you understand the backstory of these characters so don’t worry if you haven’t read the vandals (although you should because you are really missing out). Eventually though Milo and Lainey are off on adventure that leads to some explosive steamy scenes between them. They have this push and pull between them from the very start that I just knew was going to lead to some amazing chemistry.

This series will eventually become a reverse harem and we get a sneak peek from one of the other men at the end of this novella that leaves you dying for more. I am so happy to back in this world and I can’t wait for the first full book!

This is a crossover Novella involving the 82nd Street Vandals and the Bay Ridge Royals. It is the first introduction to the new series of Bay Ridge Royals. It can be read as a stand alone, but for additional background you could read the 82nd Street Vandals Series.

I love Lainey. She is such a strong character and has proven herself to be an ally. The chemistry between Lainey and Milo is off the charts and I can't wait to see where this couple leads to in the future books. We just get a peak at what kind of dangers we might experience in this new series, but we get a glimpse at how well they work together when needed.

There is obviously a love-hate relationship between Lainey and Ezra. These two are ready to combust with all the pent up attraction they have for one another. I can't wait to see how these men are going to fight to be in Lainey's life. Book two is set to release very soon, so hopefully we won't have to wait long.

I’m so excited for the rest of this series. My heart hurts for Milo and all he’s been through. He’s done whatever necessary to protect Ivy through the years, and later his Vandals brothers. He gave up his freedom for them. He’s struggling so much with Ivy being back in his life, because he knows it puts her in danger and that is everything he fought against. When Lainey comes onto the scene, he is determined to protect her just as fiercely. He wants her, but fights against that too. He has such a low opinion of himself and thinks he is not good enough for her. I love Lainey and how she is also fiercely protective of Emersyn. She will go against every one of the Vandals to do what’s best for Em, without an ounce of fear. I’m so curious about the dynamics of the relationships between her, Adam, and Ezra. I can’t wait for the next book to start unraveling some of the secrets!

To say that this series has me excited would be an understatement. I’ve loved these characters almost since we met them in the Vandals series. Lainey, I’ve always adored. Milo… took me some time to warm up. I loved seeing familiar events through different lenses. Getting inside Lainey’s head, in particular, was intriguing. We got tiny glimpses of her personality previously, but it was fabulous to read her POV and to experience her as a lead character with her own story.

Even though the events and circumstances from this novella were familiar, there was plenty of new content to keep things interesting. I like Milo even more now, after being inside of his head for a firsthand look at his feelings towards Ivy as well as Lainey. The spice was haaaaawt for such a short story, and I can’t wait for the explosions that are heading this way in the rest of the series.

Not continuing this series.

This was just all tell, no show. Didn't care about the characters or the story at all. It's just a bunch of cavemen "gangsta" dudes demanding the girls do what they say - for their own protection - and the FMC saying how much smarter and stronger she is than they give her credit for. If they only would stop keeping her in the dark. Oh and then she proceeds to get railed repeatedly by the main caveman.
Oh i can't believe I almost forgot. He's not a CoMpLeTe caveman... he READS. And he almost finished law school. But all of that was before he went to prison - unjustly of course. And now he's just about 98% caveman.
I think this story is supposed to be filler between an existing series and a new spinoff series, but, even so, there needs to be some kind of development if you want me to care about these characters at all.

I loved this novella so much. I read it all in one go.
It's got me so excited for this brand new series.
I loved Lainey and who I'm hoping are her guys in the Vandals series.
This novella was short and spicy and gave us a look into the start of the relationship of Lainey (Mayhem) and Milo (Pretty Boy).
I'm so ready to jump back into this universe and hopefully see some characters we know and love.
This was fast paced and you can definitely read this series without reading the Vandals. If you want to you should though because you will see some more from these characters.
I would definitely recommend this five-star read and I can't wait to see more from sassy Lainey and I can't wait to see who definitely becomes her guys. I know who I'm hoping for and I can't wait to see if I'm right.
