Joseph "Jeph" Loeb III is an Emmy and WGA nominated American film and television writer, producer and award-winning comic book writer. Loeb was a Co-Executive Producer on the NBC hit show Heroes, and formerly a producer/writer on the TV series Smallville and Lost.

A four-time Eisner Award winner and five-time Wizard Fan Awards winner (see below), Loeb's comic book career includes work on many major characters, including Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Hulk, Captain America, Cable, Iron Man, Daredevil, Supergirl, the Avengers, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, much of which he has produced in collaboration with artist Tim Sale, who provides the comic art seen on Heroes.

3.5. Good story for the most part. My main complaint was the art. I felt there was very few instances of Ed McGuinness's incredible artwork. It would have elevated a lot more for me.

This is the wildest ride a Superman comic will ever take you on. It’s funny, audacious, sad and hopeful. Only a comic book could go on this journey. I read it in 2007 and reread it in 2026 and it’s the rare comic that aged well.

Bizarre talk is not for me. I like this era of Superman. Enjoy McGuinness on him also.
I liked it starting in media res.
