William Aloysius Keane, better known as Bil Keane, was an American cartoonist notable for his work on the long-running newspaper comic The Family Circus, which began its run in 1960 and continues in syndication.
This is another cute collection of one of my favorite comics with a healthy dose of 1970s nostalgia. As always, Mommy and Daddy have their hands full with kids Billy, Dolly, Jeffy, and PJ. Much of the humor comes from the kids saying things that are slightly off in terms of social awareness or idiomatic correctness. This installment has several pages of Christmas-related situations.
I used to love this comic strip as a kid. Nothing has changed. This was a great trip down amnesia lane that allowed me to look at life from the parent perspective instead of the kid's. An insightful time was had by all.
