Double dare. It started as an innocent game between my brother and I, but as we grew older, we wanted to push our limits. There are only two rules. You must agree to play, and you always have to follow through. It seemed simple enough when the dares only consisted of prank calling daddy’s business partners, or ordering pizza for our unexpecting neighbors, but it quickly grew to a new level neither of us expected. Putting our inheritance on the line, the dares got more malicious. Set a car on fire, steal from the convenient store on the corner. But when I dared him to leave town, I realized just how out of hand things had gotten. Now he’s back and ready to make me pay by throwing in a new player to our game. Adrian Youngblood. Mafia heir. Cold. Dangerous. Known as the boy with no heart. It should have been simple—easy— but nothing is ever black and white where he’s concerned. Fast past with a main male character who's not NO HERO he's dark and crazy. It's slightly corny but it worked out Danica is alright i liked this book, downloaded this as a freebie from Prolific.

Danica Smith and her brother had a pact to always accept a double dare, but this time is different because the stakes are much higher and Adrian Youngblood is not the type of man to approach a deal casually.

Narrated in multiple POV, the pacing in this narrative is quick and so is the action. As Danica experiences her new life with Adrian, she learns more about herself and her brother, while Adrian is the puppet master. Though I enjoyed the world in this book, I was left wanting more considering what occurs in this novella.

I was curious about this book; unfortunately, it was not something that satisfied my needs. The storyline stretched believability at times, making it hard to stay engaged. The barely lukewarm smut didn’t help the situation.

Double Dare is the story of Danica and Adrian.

This story isn't about love or forbidden love. We have none of that shit in this book. It's about emotions, feelings, and much more. Adrian Youngblood is a mafia prince and Danica comes from a wealthy family she has a twin brother Dario and they have their own game of truth and dare but they only do dares and over the years the dares have gotten more and more severe and she dares him to leave town to which he does or so she thought. He doesn't and ends up killing someone and he offers his sister as debt and Adrian accepts and that night Dario returns and tells her a dare and it to make Adrian fall in love with her but the thing is Adrian can't love but he promises to give her pleasure and lots of it in the end. Adrian is soulless, bloody, and deadly. I hated how he treated her in the start but warmed up to him when he started cracking his walls down around Danica. She was nearly raped and he saved her in his own sadistic way. HE MADE ANOTHER MAN FUCK HER AND ASKED HIM TO MAKE HER CUM AND HE DIDN'T BUT SHE DID ENJOY IT AND WHEN HE CUMMED, ADRIAN KILLED HIM AND I WAS LIKE WTF BUT THEN UNDERSTOOD HOW ADRIAN CHOOSES HIS WORDS. UGH, IT'S SO CONFUSING BUT SO GOOD. In the end, she ended up hating her brother and Adrian killed him for her and she didn't have an ounce of decency because deep down she's just like Adrian. He fucks her and promises her many things. The end. Check your trigger warnings babe cuz this isn't some sappy romance like this is hard shit and has many triggering things.

So you are telling me he asked one of his own man to fuck her, INFRONT OF HIM and then 10 pages later he gets angry and jealous when one of his enemy touched her??? I mean really?? The math ain't mathing... make it make sense. Like boy, you dont get to act possessive after you order one of you own man to fuck your girl.

Why the fuck was i so desperate for the name "Adrian" that i immediately thought of "Adrian Volkov" (from The Deception Trilogy by Rina Kent) that i picked up this book without thinking twice... well NEVER AGAIN.

i wanted to like this so bad because it was supposed to be dark & fucked up… but no. The storyline is beyond the bounds of possibility. The way FMC was ok with her brother being killed was so unrealistic. Terribly unconvincing.

But then again, i thought okay fine the plot is shit, the smut must be good but NO it was equally terribly. Also, I don't think it should be classified as BDSM.

Everything about this book was bad. JUST A BIG NO.

Double Dare is a fast paced read. Two siblings who have been daring each other to do things their whole lives. Now that they're adults the dares have gotten more real and dangerous and whomever doesn't fulfil their dare will forfeit their inheritance.

Trash. Insta love. Unrealistic. The way she was ok w her brother being killed was so unrealistic. Just bland and one dimensional characters. The author did say the fmc was going to change so I was warned, but really wasn’t expecting her to change this grossly. Disappointed and waste of time.

Holy hot dang what’s wrong with me because I loved everything about this book! I definitely shouldn’t but a little bit of rough seems right! Danica and Adrian are not your normal couple from the way they met to their intimate moments and I want more of it!

This story is a wild ride and I enjoyed each word.

Now this was dark romance. I’ve never read anything like this before. I was in shock half the story. However, there were some shortcomings because it didn’t convince me of everything it was selling.
And low and behold seed comes up again!!!! I thought that was only a poc thing but the word obviously crosses cultural boundaries!
Overall, it wasn’t a bad read.

Ahhhh! Another work of BL Mute that I love! Please know going into this that it's very fast paced (which is mentioned) so if that isn't what you're looking for, don't be a rude person and rate is down for that when BL Mute is transparent about that.

This is a very quick read, which is helpful to me because I can't seem to finish a big ole book to save my life! I loved knowing that this was going to be dark and the hero was not going to bend his morals for the heroine, rather she was going to conform to whatever he needed!
I was tricked on more than one occasion and definitely caught by surprise more than once, which I loved. I'm glad this story caught my attention in the first place because I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A fast-paced Novella, that doesn't follow the conventional romance story. You won't find any gooey loving men in this book.
This Hero is immoral, messy & blood hungry, whereas our heroine is slightly naive, spoilt & extremely entitled.

This isn't your typical love story, no matter what Danica does Adrian won't change his ways, but that doesn't mean he won't get the girl.

Danica experiences things she never knew existed, will it make or destroy her in the end.
Really enjoyed how different to other romance Mafia stories this was. Definitely needs a sequel

This book 100% gave me Wattpad Mafia Romance vibes, but I was here for it all the way I literally could not out it down and I enjoyed every second of it.
I hated Adrian’s character. Bitch please, “can’t love”, pfft. Yea right. Bitch you are IN LOVE. Like come on. But I also hate that he had to “break her” even though I knew why.

Double Dare is a mafia romance novella.
Its fast-paced and unconventional in that the hero doesn't change who he is to get the girl, instead the heroine does for him 🖤❤

Their story is f**ked up and messy. It had me questioning why I was attracted to it 😂

Some smutty scenes and fantastic storyline, perfect if you need to get out of a reading slump or just want a quick read

Loved loved loved LOVED this book. I need a sequel ASAP!

This book is about this guy who kills this mafia king's employee and so he has to die but he offers his sister life in place of his. The sister and the mafia guy fall in love. He makes one of his guards fuck the girl just to please her and then kills him! He also may or may not have shoved a gun inside her... and they say romance is dead!

Look, if you’re looking for a bad guy who is only soft and sweet to his woman, this isn’t it. Adrian is bad to his core and this is a story of the FMC, Danica, learning to be ok and accept that darkness in her. Suffice to say, this novella was perfect. Kinky and dark and everything I needed from a dark novella. I would love to see this couples life expanded on but I also think it ended just how it was supposed to.

so I don't usually don't read novellas but I had to give this a try after seeing a tik tok which mentioned a particular scene 👀
the author gave us literally what she told. nothing more nothing less. I like how the girl changed in this not the guy. I was gonna give this a 2 but then the ending pushed it up to a 3. I loved the ending!
