January 4, 2024What the heck did I just read? 😂 This is something; I'm not yet sure if it's good or bad, but definitely something. The premise was almost the same with The Pucking Wrong Number, but the craziness of the MMC is way worse here. 🤣

So Gia (27) accidentally texted Roman (38), head of a crime syndicate, and these messaging exchanges continued for at least 2 weeks, I think? Then Roman got obsessed over Gia and he orchestrated everything to have her; he got her evicted from her apartment, fired from her job, and frozen her bank accounts. Then he offered her a job, but she refused it, knowing there would be strings attached to it. And maaaan, he didn't like that rejection. So he took matters into his own hands, went to her apartment, and mind you, this is the first time they see each other in person. He introduced himself as her textmate before he drugged her and brought her to his house.
There's A LOT of TW here: drugging, somnophilia, edging, breeding, noncon, dubcon, BC tampering, kidnapping, and forced marriage.
Though the noncon was included in the warning, the scene that happened still made me icky and uneasy. After he drugged her, she was unconscious for more than 12 hours, and then Roman had his way with her not just once but multiple times!!! What he did was assault, and I'm trying so hard to get past it because this is supposed to be acceptable as this is a dark romance novella. But I don't think I can. It's not just everyone's cup of tea, and that's okay.
Then the rest of the story became a fuckfest. When I tell you there's no plot, there's really nothing going on here. This was pure smut chapter after chapter, with Roman forcing his decisions on Gia and her accepting everything without so much fight. How they ended up getting their HEA, I'll never understand.
Anyway, I'm not going to rate it, as I don't know how to even categorized my feelings after reading this. But I definitely see why other readers would love this; the MMC is OTT J/P and unapologetically himself.

You know the deeper issues that make Roman react, and he's acting from a place of love even if it's oh so wrong. ️He is allergic to the FMC having birth control. So he decides to ladynap her, drug her, have his doctor take out her contraceptive, and just to cover all his bases, he gives her a fertility shot and reads up on the best ways to get your girl preggers and leave his you know what stuffed in her you know what to keep the good good from dripping out. Roman says he is the best at everything he does, and he will not be deterred.
I mean, if that isn't love 🥰

OTT fix achieved
My previous read didn't give me all the craziness I was craving so I tried this new author.
It was just as crazy as promised.
They could have become a regular of mine, but the tense sometimes switched to the present for no reason and some sentence structures were just too amateurish and hard to follow.
Maybe in a few years when the skill has been better honed? The imagination is there, just not the capability to cohesively put it to paper.

I really loved this one. TRIGGERS: somno, noncon, dubcon, breeding.
Gia (sassy minx) accidentally texts the wrong number instead of her friend's number. She's totally unprepared for the insanity that's coming her way. Roman (sexy, crazy fucker) is amused by the spunky wrong number text he gets. It doesn't take him long to become totally obsessed. He does what any normal man does and starts to stalk her, then he ruins her life so she'll have no choice but to rely on him. Except she's got a backbone and doesn't need him. So, he takes the next completely normal step and kidnaps her, and immediately starts trying to breed her. Gia is not a willing participant at first, despite the fact Roman is hot as hell. Eventually he wins her over and then HEA.
It was really hot and I loved the texting they did at the beginning. I love a good stalker fic and somno.

This was a perfectly dirty treat, and exactly the kind of read that I needed. Proper darkness, the right amount of realistic reactions from the heroine, and top notch villainous behavior by the Hero.

Oh so I saw this book being advertised on a book group. New author for me and for the most part I liked the book. I'm into breeding and stalking and this definitely had that. The first couple chapters seemed very familiar..they seems almost exactly like scenes from CR Janes..Wrong Pucking Number. The male lead though was a Mafia don not a hockey player but like in CR's book there is a mix up with texting the wrong # and the male lead becoming obsessed with the female lead. In both books male lead has female leads boss fire her...her landlord kick her out..take out her bc implant. Although this one kidnapped her and basically r@ped her in contrast to other books where she already knows him and has some type of relationship with him then he has his way w her why she's asleep. Don't get me wrong I liked his insta love over the top she is mine alpha male ego but there wasn't much character development. There were also a couple times that the sentence was phrased in past tense when it should have been in the present. All and all it was a good read...will read more books from the author.

I am bilingual, I even understand french, I've studied english even before I've studied my native language.
There are so many words in the English language and all i can say about this book is
URGHHH🤮
So he kidnaps her after a few days of knowing her, destroys her life and forces her to be stuck in a room with him, im even gonna jump the part where he raped her (yap you heard me, not dubcon, just rape) and rips her iud and gets her fertility shots while she's unconscious.
He then proceeds to fuck her as she screams to let go.
She then says, after he spends six days trying to get her pregnant, that she will:
“shove a fucking wire hanger up my pussy if you don’t get me out of this fucking room. I am done.”
Two days later she's absolutely obsessed with him and adores the bitch, they get married and it jumps right to the prologue, where she has 3 kids and is a housewife
I have nothing agaist housewifes
They are great
My issue is how this plot was rushed, it has no romance, this is more of a psychological thriller written around a breeding kink.
I could tell you i missed a lot of scenes, I didn't, this shit was the whole book
Oh ya u meet his sister that after finding out her brother kidnapped a girl, decides the best decision is to take her to a spa
Oh ya i was raped and kidnapped, i have a psycho telling me im pushing ten watermelons out of my coochie hole, but what i need is a fucking spa day.
I try to sometimes picture myself as a strong woman, but if i somehow experience this book, i would kill myself the moment this scene happens:
“Seriously, I’m sore after that last time.”I sighed.
“Fine, I will just need to give myself a good wank and cum inside you. I’m away tomorrow night for some business. I won’t be back till late,” I said.”
I cant even tell you to read it for the smut, cause 90% of it is "me needs to fuck babies into you" while she yells for baby jesus to save her and the other 10% are after she is magically entrapped by his dick or smt and thinks he's great
Most of this book is dubcon ( very fucking dubious) and the rest is noncoc with a sprinkle of consented sex in the end.

Thoughts: Look red flag in the dictionary and you’ll find Roman (along with some other devilish book boyfriends I’m sure 😏). Although Roman doesn’t go about getting the girl in a “normal” way, he loves and protects her fiercely.

Roman and Gia trade snarky comments but it gets flirtatious real quick and Gia changes his unknown status to Filthy Fu€|Roman is so obsessed that he tracks her down and takes her.

Both main characters were insufferable, the punctuation and grammar was atrocious, the plot was essentially ‘The Pucking Wrong Number’, and basically the whole plot was just the same smut over and over.
It didn’t even really feel dark either somehow. Maybe it was barely there fight and the way “her body needed” him, even after he raped her, kidnapped her, and forced pregnancy on her, but it just felt.. meh? I don’t know but I didn’t like it.
The MMC was really immature for supposedly being 38, he acted and spoke like a frat boy. I imagine he was supposed to come off as a sexy bad boy who didn’t give a fuck, but all he gave me was the ick and a major case of cringe. And the FMC was such a doormat highkey, all it took was him naked for her to forget the shit he did.
I’m all for dark romance, I wouldn’t have picked it up if I wasn’t. S’A, kidnapping, hate to love? I can expect it, but I also expect a fmc who doesn’t roll over and essentially say “have at it” without any fight.
And frankly? I think the main reason I’m dnf’ing is because I was bored to tears. Thank God it was only like 150 pages.

I’m all for dark romance, I wouldn’t have picked it up if I wasn’t. S’A, kidnapping, hate to love? I can expect it, but I also expect a fmc who doesn’t roll over and essentially say “have at it” without any fight.
And frankly? I think the main reason I’m dnf’ing is because I was bored to tears. Thank God it was only like 150 pages.

Roman may be handsome and wealthy, but he’s dangerous, too. When his plan involves kidnapping, chloroform, and a fertility shot, things get intense.
Their text exchange grows from humorous to hot. Gia has a feisty mouth on her—she may be a nerdy tech girl, but she is extremely outspoken, and I loved that! Roman is every bit of a dark, unhinged stalker type. It’s a perfect match! Note there is somno and br33ding.

The best thing about this book is that it's short. Roman is seriously deranged, and not in a pleasant lunatic way.
He treats her like a thing, doesn't care about who she is or anything about her, she's just a possession to him, and not in the romantic way.
This book has TW for dub -con. Let me tell you, this is not dub con. This is straight up rape.
She gets drugged, kidnapped, gets her birth control implant removed in addition to a fertility shot, all while unconscious due to being drugged, then gets raped repeatedly. There is no dubious consent. There's no consent at all, it's literally date rape and it just turned me right off not only this book but the Author for writing such a thing as a dark romance. Fuck that. Rape is not romance and these two had zero prior relationship.

This book has TW all over, it's not really a romance as much as smut thinly disguised as romance. Because it's a novella there is no time for character building or redemption or any of that. This story touches our deepest desires of being coveted by a dangerous and powerful man who takes what he wants. Our h made the mistake of texting the wrong number, which puts her on the radar of our anti H. Ruthless, powerful and knee-deep in criminal dealings. The H is a psychopath and develops an obsession for h. He drugs her, kidnaps her and keeps her locked up in his lair. There is noncon dubcon and somno so this is either your thing or you need to stay away from this.

I saw this book being recommended in a group as a dark read with certain TWs and I cannot dispute the need for those warnings. This romance story did have a storyline that I found intriguing – I particularly loved how the leading characters came to find each other, and I loved their banter. However, the story felt more like a filler between all the sexual acts that Roman was planning and then doing to Gia. It’s a short story which I literally read in a couple of hours, and I wish that the narrative had been longer in length to give the reader more character development and add depth to the story.

Divertida la manera en que comenzó la historia de Román y Gia . El creyó que la primera etapa de plan manipulando a la gente que rodea a Gia podría conseguir contratarla y así comenzar la segundo etapa que sería mostrar su faceta seductora , pero la i no contaba con la autosuficiencia de Gia así que el plan de apoyo entró en acción .. Secuestrarla , violarla en diferentes niveles y posiciones pero siempre rodeada de lujo y personal de Roman que la cuidarías y no juzgarían a Román , claro solo a la ingrata que no se da cuenta cómo ha sufrido Román … en pocas palabras te la recomiendo es picante , divertida , tabú y con una obsesión del protagonista con el culo de la heroina .

I really loved this! Lately I have been reading many books that aren't my "typical" go-to reads and the is one of them. The title really intrigued me so I figured why not? It is about a young woman who means to be texting her friend but has one number wrong and is texting a man instead. And not just any man...a crazy, mafia man. He is intrigued by her texts and they continue. Once he finds out who she is ("repressed nerd" his words) and sets eyes on her, she doesn't stand a chance.

Needed a quick short read as I was waiting on the release of another book and just needed to fill a bit of time. This fit the bill. Nothing spectacular yet okay enough. The H was only a little eye rolly. There was no relationship development. Met, sex, married, and preggo. The h was in denial for 3 seconds and then everyone lived hea. 'On,y if your like me and have a limited time to fill should this be considered if not I’d skip it.

I loved this book!!! Roman and Gia give all the feels. It still has some of LoveBite shorts dark feels that she so deliciously writes. But this books has it all, the darkish character, the banter was so on point and the steam is fantastic as always. I can’t wait for the next instalment. This has brought me out of my reading funk!!!

Well, FMC’s life turned upside down because she texted a wrong number, which was the MMC’s.
Basically, everything was forced to her: sex, marriage, proximity, pregnancy…her new life. I don’t think she said ILY directly to the MMC, but she loves her life with her husband and children in the epilogue so… yeah. It’s more smut than plot, which was okay lol. 3 stars!

4 stars for the first half. I didn’t like how he treated her after he kidnapped her and kept her locked up for days. He didn’t treat her horrible but he kinda lost me after that. And I felt like she never chose/wanted to marry him she just kind of accepted it and was like okay 👍🏼

I absolutely love Lovebite shorts… such a quick easy read. Been having such a hard time getting into books recently, but these are the books I could really all day long. This is one that I would say is in her darker side, but so good! Can’t wait till her new books come out.
