I have been looked forward to Parker and Ava's book for forever! This didn't disappoint. I flew through this book!
Parker came from nothing and worked hard to be where he is. Ava is a socialite but doesn't use her parent's name to get to where she's at. They think that they know each other but they're surprised to find out how wrong they are. Their chemistry was 🤌🏻 The perfect read to get me outta my slump.

I don’t think a couple can beat Eli & Queenie in my eyes… However, Ava & Parker are a very close second! I loved every second of their story. LA Shaw brought the spice and gave us some delicious enemies to lovers tension!!

I read this in a day! Then went back and read it all over again!!! Absolute perfection!!! I loved these two, Parker and Ava sooooo much. I loved them together and separately!!! I tried to read this soooo slowly so that I could enjoy every word, but I needed to see where the story was going and gosh is it absolutely perfection!!!!

Well HELLO Parker Cole… this is my favorite of the Reckless Hearts series. I couldn’t get enough of the tension between Parker and Ava.
Ava and Parker’s story had me hooked right from the start. Ava is a strong and driven woman that has broken away from her controlling family. She has started her own interior design firm. Which lands her in the presence of her enemy, Parker Cole. The man she can’t stand, but also can’t look away from.
Parker Cole is a self made billionaire with a heartbreaking history. He fought his way to the top, to prove to himself and the family that abandon him how strong he truly is. His company is creating a new hotel and are looking for the best interior designer to bring the vision to life. He knows Ava is the best, but he won’t ever tell her that. Her bratty attitude and sharp tongue have captured his attention for far too long. He doesn’t do relationships and he can see it written on her face that she’s looking for something more. His trauma won’t allow him to have more.
Ava and Parkers chemistry is pure fire. They burn hot and they try to deny their chemistry, but it is inevitable. Their relationship is either filled with lust and filthy words or sarcastic remarks and eye rolls. Once they are forced together and begin spending time getting to know one another, they can no longer deny the pull between them. The pull that’s been there longer than either of them care to admit.

Parker is the broody billionaire that only has a very small group of close friends and keeps a lot close to the vest. He doesn't get close to anyone else and doesn't do relationships.
Ava is a socialite that is bubbly, outgoing, and trying to really make it with her interior design business.
Parker hires her to help with designing the new luxury hotels.
There is so much chemistry between these two and they can't escape it since they work together and have the same group of friends. The more time they spend with one another the more they realize that the thoughts they had about the other are wrong. And as they are actually getting to know one another they are unable to deny their attraction to each other and feelings develop.
I love this series and this book. I really loved Parker. There is something about a broody hero that built himself up from very little and that has been hurt so he's prickly that just calls to me. Plus, this man has a seriously deliciously filthy mouth on him. His character had so much growth throughout this book. I mean both characters have quite a bit of parental issues that they need to get over so they both grow and watching them get through that and open up was beautiful.

I swear every time I read a story by these two I just love them even more.
The third book of the reckless hearts series follows Parker Cole and Ava Pierce. They’ve known each other for awhile due to having a mutual friend group, however after learning Ava’s last name, Parker has decided she’s a stuffy, stuck up, rich girl… without even getting to know her. However, after interviewing and accepting a position working with Parker at his company, they spend more time together and learn they may have misjudged each other.
I ADORED Ava. She was sassy, fierce, fiery, and an incredible FMC. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a huge crush on her character and her carefree nature. And Parker wasn’t bad either ;) he was TOTALLY my type, even down to the tattoos.
This book was the perfect amount of spice and story. I think one of my favorite moments during the book was when each other them stood up for each other. Parker telling off Logan, and Ava telling off his ex. I was HERE FOR IT. Had me all sorts of giddy.

These two!!!! I absolutely adored them!
Parker is closed off in a way not many people understand. He's been through things that have hardened him. He built himself from the ground up and is an amazing man under all those tattoos and gruff exterior.
The same can be said for Ava. Not having a good relationship with her parents. She's worked hard to make a name for herself despite her name.
Different walks of life in a sense. But bothe driven, determined and loyal to their little found family! I absolutely love watching these two go from enemies to lovers and so much more. The way their friendship grew and the brought out the best in eachother. Opened up and understood one another! I loved getting to see all of our favorite friends!!! And catch up with where they are. My heart is happy! Love love LOVED this one! Devoured this book and did not want it to end! 🤍

Parker and Ava 😍 this book had me intrigued from the prologue! I really enjoyed the way LA Shaw wrote this enemies to lovers and phew the spice was so good!
Parker and Ava end up working on a project along side each other after Parker hires Ava to work as an interior designer for one of his work projects.
I loved watching the relationship evolve, the forced proximity was so well done, and Parker really shocked me with all of his millionaire broken boy Dom vibes 😮💨

Devoured this book in one sitting 😭 This whole friend group has my heart from Sloan/Wes to Quinn/Eli and now Ava/Parker. I just love them all and love getting crumbs of their lives now. The epilogue? Ugh so cute! 🥺
Parker 🥺 I get him now. After everything that has happened in his life - I get it. 💔😭 I absolutely loved his and Ava’s love story. It’s sad and you’ll definitely go through a little roller coaster of emotions but Ava and Parker were utter perfection from start to finish.💋

So good! The banter, the spice, the friendships, the cat..I loved everything about Parker and Ava’s relationship from them being in a sort of situationship to working together, living together and then finally getting together. It was a fun journey and I love that Binx the cat was part of it lol. Another great book by L.A Shaw. 🤗

@lashaw.author knocked it out of the park with this book. I didn’t think anything could top Reckless Impulse but this one did. Enemies to lovers is a top tier trope for me and they did it perfectly. I loved the gradual transition from enemies to lovers between Ava & Parker.
When we first met Ava & Parker in Reckless Abandon I knew I was going to love them. They couldn’t stand each other when they met and that continued into their own story.
Parker babyyyy. That tall, broody, tattooed, billionaire was everything and then some. He’s my favorite broody man now 😍 and the mouth on this man. Oh my lanta, I was sweating 🥵 Ava is so fun with a positive attitude but also that no bad attitude.

One of my most anticipated reads of the year. And it absolutely did not disappoint 😍
I knew from the moment we witnessed the banter between Ava and Parker in the previous two books that I would absolutely devour their story. Enemies to lovers is probably my favorite trope and this one was IT👏
Parker is a 6’4, tattooed, broody billionaire with a filthy freaking mouth that had me absolutely sweatingggg😮💨
Ava is such a fun, bubbly beauty with a positive attitude and she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She ends up working as a designer for Parker’s newest project.
These two have a major attraction to each other but definitely do not like each other. Their banter was top tier.
But their chemistry? Completely off the charts. It was so good. The tension between them omgggg yall it was amazing and everything I hoped for and more. The spice in this book???? PERFECTION😍🔥 I mean there’s an exclusive club 🥵🥵🥵🥵
I loved every single part of this book. If you take any recs from me let it be this one AND the entire Reckless Hearts series. Every single book has been a 5⭐️ read for me including this one.

I knew from the moment we witnessed the banter between Ava and Parker in the previous two books that I would absolutely devour their story. Enemies to lovers is probably my favorite trope and this one was IT👏

Ava is such a fun, bubbly beauty with a positive attitude and she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She ends up working as a designer for Parker’s newest project.
These two have a major attraction to each other but definitely do not like each other. Their banter was top tier.
But their chemistry? Completely off the charts. It was so good. The tension between them omgggg yall it was amazing and everything I hoped for and more. The spice in this book???? PERFECTION😍🔥 I mean there’s an exclusive club 🥵🥵🥵🥵
I loved every single part of this book. If you take any recs from me let it be this one AND the entire Reckless Hearts series. Every single book has been a 5⭐️ read for me including this one.

May 2025 Re-read with the audio release and it hits just the same as the first time. I didn't realize how much I missed these characters until I dove back in. The audio was PHENOMENAL!!
THE ANTICIPATION FOR THIS ONE!!! I legitimately almost couldn’t even handle it. The reckless hearts series has owned me since book 1 but I can truly admit that even I wasn’t prepared for how much I LOVED this book. Parker and his broody, man of few words self took me by complete surprise as we learned more about him. Finally getting to deep dive into his character was everything I wanted and then some. His story is so heartbreaking and I found myself, even when it was hard to do so, cheering for him so hard because I just wanted so much for him to have his well fought for HEA. Ava has been a fave character of mine in the group as well and I adore her and her sassy, quippy self. Their banter was so good, their tension and palpable heat was NEXT LEVEL and GOOOOOD LAWWWWDDDDD that mouth of Parker’s. So outstandingly filthy I could not get enough. I loved this installment, I love this group of characters, I love this world that these 💣shell authors have created. I will continue to devour any and everything they write. 5/5 gleaming stars!!

Reckless Encounters follows Ava and Parker. They’ve known each other for years through mutual friends (side note: this series is absolutely one of my favorite friend groups) but they haven’t been friends themselves - unless you’re counting the night when they were *extra friendly.* Now she’s not only working for him but also living with him, and you could cut that tension with a knife.
Where do I start?! I freaking adore Ava and Parker. These two have a primal attraction, and poor Parker fights it so, so much to the point that I was side eying him hard. But once he gets over it and lets his sweet side show, oh is he perfect. But his personal history is rough, so you feel so bad and understand exactly why he wants to stay closed off to a meaningful relationship.

Everything L.A. Shaw writes is complete perfection, and the Reckless series is my absolute favorite. This world, this group of friends, the way they all love and support each other - I want to live here forever. So, of course, I have loved every single book in this series, but there is just something about Parker that made Reckless Enounters next level. I read it in a single day and loved it so freaking much.
Maybe it's that I have a soft spot for a man who went through it as a child, and uses his prickly, grumpy exterior to protect himself. Maybe it's because he wants to badly to be loved and accepted as an adult, but just doesn't quite know how to reach out and grab it, even when his friends and the people closest to him are offering. And maybe it's for the moment when he finally finds the girl who chases his demons away. The one who gives him the love and support and comfort he has been searching for. The one who holds his hand through what scares him and gives him her family and makes him feel safe enough to fully embrace the friendship his people have always offered to him.
Whatever it is, Parker and Ava have my whole entire heart and I will never stop thinking about this story. There is just something so special about the smart and driven woman and the massively successful man slowly and then all at once dropping all of their walls and revealing their whole selves to each other. The birthday party. The trip to the Hudson Valley. The way they both finally give in to their feelings. The forced proximity of her living in his apartment temporarily when hers needs repairs. The way neither of them wants her to move back to her apartment when it's ready. The way they love each other is my favorite thing, and I will never be over it.
As much as I loved Parker and Ava, I also loved getting some glimpses into how our favorite couples are doing. Sloan and Wes as in love as ever. Eli and Quinn living their best lives as parents and Eli being as swoony as we remember. All of the parents still being fabulous. There could be a thousand books in this series and it would still never be enough. This is L.A. Shaw at their absolute best, and I never wanted this book to end.

I love love LOVED this book. You can never go wrong with a tatted, grumpy, alpha hole, billionaire MMC & Parker Cole was all of the above. Not to be outdone by the headstrong, sassy, independent bombshell that was Ava Pierce 🤩

Assuming she was a stuck up, rich girl Parker wanted nothing to do with Ava. Until one night they find themselves unable to deny their attraction to one another at an exclusive club. After an unforgettable night- they go their separate ways. Parker ends up hiring Ava to be the designer on his new hotel project and after being forced to be around each other they soon find out they can’t deny what’s right in front of them.
This was enemies to lovers perfection. It’s my favorite trope & this book is the perfect example of why. Their banter was amazing- they challenged each other at every turn yet melted for one another behind closed doors. Ava taught Parker what it felt like to live again. Parker allowed Ava the space she needed to be who she wanted to be, no questions asked. I loved how Parker had such a tough exterior then went so soft for Ava and vice versa. The friend group was amazing as always and I loved getting glimpses into our other couples. Loved that there was no unnecessary drama & no third act breakup or slow burn. Highly recommend if you enjoy enemies to lovers, FWB, forced proximity, & workplace romances!

The Reckless Hearts Series is one of my favorites, and I have been impatiently anticipating the June release of Reckless Encounters. Parker and Ava's story definitely did not disappoint, I was so engrossed in their story that I finised it in one sitting. Parker, is the broody billionaire that does not allow himself to get to close to anyone from previous experiences and hurt in his life, he likes control. Ava, is a strong free will bubbly interior designer, who isn't afraid to speak her mind.
Parker and Ava have an undeniable pull towards one another, however preconceived views deter them from one another. The forced proximity of working with one another allows them the chance to get to see another side of the other, opening the door for them to explore their connection/attraction they share. Parker and Ava's back and forth banter will have you hooked, and wanting more. Their character dynamics were perfection, could not have been written better, in my opinion. I loved seeing Parker's character growth from begininng to end. I enjoyed, every second of this read, and there was nothing I did not like about it.
I highly recommend, Reckless Encounters if you love a good enemies to lovers office romance, where the MMC and FMC like to explore their dom\sub side. One minute I was giggling like a school girl and the next I was drooling over Parkers filthy mouth. As much as I loved Parker, Eli still claims top spot in my heart. Even, though Reckless Encounters can be read as standalone, I highly suggest starting with Reckless Abandon.

Ava and Parker have an encounter at the club that Lo (from Reckless Abandon) owns and fast forward many many months and they both act like it never really happened. Ava ends up getting hired by Parker’s company and the sparks fly yet again once they are forced to be together daily.
I was very intrigued at how both of these dominant characters could have a softness towards each other when they had such strong negative feelings and I thought L.A. Shaw paced their journey perfectly. I loved the moments when you started to see them trust each other more and more with their feelings and their heart.
I loved when they switched their roles so flawlessly to a Dom/Sub type of relationship and then outside of the “space they created” they were right back to their mutual pining and banter.
This was such a great swoony and spicy read! I loved how they rounded out the Reckless Series with these two and getting to catch up with the rest of the crew!

This guy is an absolute beast when it comes to his bedroom antics, but he closed his heart off a long time ago when he got burned.
When Ava catches his attention, there is something about her that is just.. magnetic. And they spend an evening letting all their desires run wild.
Fast forward a little time and Ava becomes the new designer for a hotel and guess who Bossman is 🫠 Parker is an a$$hat to Ava, trying to keep his heart safe but LA Shaw give us EVERYTHING we want. The spice HITS. Oh boy, buckle up. That guy can tell me to get on my knees and I would bruise with how fast I would drop. I loved seeing his growth from knowing his past, to now and then watching him fall without realising.

Parker and Ava's story was so worth the wait. The first night Ava meets Parker, he makes a lasting impression on her. Between the nicknames and banter a spark is ignited and lingers beyond that evening. They have another encounter that's heated and passionate. Now fast forward to the present and Parker is Ava's new boss and he disapproves of it. Time passes and soon their lives become intertwined.
Parker and Ava have always had that intense energy around them. They just gravitated towards eachother. Their dynamic was the best. Before Parker met Ava, he was a one and done type. I loved how their close proximity allowed them to learn more about eachother. It was also great seeing how Parker was very present with Ava. Despite Ava's socialite background she wanted to make a name for herself without using her family's help. I loved how goal oriented she was and loved her passion for dancing. Together they complemented eachother in a way that the other person needed. Parker and Ava's story made me laugh, swoon and blush. I loved every minute of it.

Parker and Ava have always had that intense energy around them. They just gravitated towards eachother. Their dynamic was the best. Before Parker met Ava, he was a one and done type. I loved how their close proximity allowed them to learn more about eachother. It was also great seeing how Parker was very present with Ava. I just love this group of characters. They're all so supportive of one another,all the time. On top of ladies, Quinn and Sloan hoping. Wishing and praying this match-up would happen with Ava and Parker, the universe seemed to want them together too.
Parker is the biggest díck( sorry!), to like everyone but his friends. Not that it's a bad thing...but ya know-Ava isn't on the " friend" level yet..so she gets his wrath.[ I completely understood why he acted that way by the end!]
But don't worry. Ava holds her own and gives it all right back. 💅Both of them have baggage when it comes to family and love..and they help each other work through those bags.
I didn't realize how hot being called a little brat would be, but if Parker is the one saying it, I am on fire. The tension and little barbs were so strong and constant.
There is no denying the chemistry, when it's dislike, or later on when he's falling for her. or in a private room at Masqued. 🥵🥵
*The boss/employee trope, forced proximity,the possesive/jealous Parker and Binx were all added bonuses to these two finding a way to make THEM work.
I hope we still see these characters in other books!
