Darcy finally feels like she's found her place in small town Brookhaven. Her magic is blossoming and she's even worked up the courage to ask the town healer to be her date to the biggest wedding in town.
But Darcy's romantic happiness takes a backseat when the groom turns up dead. Darcy knows she shouldn't get involved in yet another murder investigation, but when her date winds up as a suspect, she'll do anything to set the record straight.
The more Darcy follows the evidence--both magical and mundane--the more she unravels about the groom's past. With a string of ex-wives, there's no shortage of suspects. But, as Darcy inches closer to the real killer, her own life winds up in danger. A final confrontation is inevitable. But is Darcy's magic enough to save her this time and bring a murderer to justice?
HIGH FIDELITY is the third novel in the Brookhaven Cozy Mystery series. Get ready to sprinkle some magic into your mystery.. The Brookhaven Cozy Mystery series is best read in order. You can start Darcy's journey in book 1, High Noon.
I enjoyed this book. This is the third book in the series and I think the more we get to know the characters the better it has become. Darcy has grown into her powers and I like how now she is using it to help with her investigations or to keep herself safe. It's an unusual power to have making it all the more fun. Its also cleverly woven into the plot making Darcy the only possible person able to solve this baffling mystery. It was a cleverly worked mystery with plenty of twists and secrets to keep you entertained following along. Not much happens around the marijuana shop this time around and all of the mystery takes place in the b&b, which worked well for the story. Looking forward to the next book.
Even with the whole town invited to the wedding, Darcy as a new comer isn't sure she should attend but when the wedding party sets up in the B&B she calls home, she agrees. Especially as she gets to bring a date. However when her date Maggie learns the groom had got a little bit out of line the night before with Darcy, Maggie becomes a suspect in his death. Darcy knows Maggie isn't responsible and starts to look into the matter, the more she learns the more complicated the investigation becomes because it looks like he wasn't the only target. Can Darcy find the real killer? with a string of ex wives left behind Darcy will have to use all her witch powers to follow the clues, especially if the killer is also no stranger to magic. I liked the narrator. She is a good choice and makes it easy to picture Darcy and her friends.
Our heroine is looking forward to attending the wedding, particularly with our hero as her date. But when the groom ends up dead, the wedding is off and so is her date. Time to solve another mystery.
This is book three of the series, but it works pretty well as a standalone. You might be missing a bit of backstory, but all the essential bits are covered early on.
This is a cozy witch mystery with a supposedly quiet town, but then it is just one murder after another. The story is well written and easy to read with a fun setting and cast. This one is a bit more down to earth than many of this genre, but it still has its quirks. It also provides a solid mystery with enough twists and turns to keep things interesting. Overall, a great addition to the series and I am definitely looking forward to the next book.
Highly recommended.

Darcy Ingram is starting to get comfortable in Brookhaven. She asked the town’s healer to be her date for a wedding. But before the event occurs, the groom Andrew is murdered. That immediately presents a long list of suspects due to his numerous failed marriages. But when Darcy’s plus-one, Maggie, might become implicated, she has no choice but to find out the truth and clear her name. But is Darcy putting herself in danger this time? Is her magic strong enough to save her?
This was another good mystery in this series and held my interest throughout. Darcy was thorough in her investigation as she tries to solve the case. Grab your copy and follow along with her as she tries to find the killer!
High Fidelity (Brookhaven Cozy Mysteries Book 3) by S E Biglow. A big wedding is planned in Brookhaven but the groom is found murdered just before the ceremony and is found by Maggie. Maggie is at first suspected of committing the murder so Darcy has to investigate to clear her friend.
This one is my favorite of the three. It still has the cozy-mystery vibe, with some extra puppy love. The characters are a mix. I liked some, and I honestly disliked others. But overall, this was a cute way to end the trilogy.
This is a cute little mystery. It’s not a New York Times bestseller, but it does have cute little characters and a nice little plot. It is not predictable. Per se. This is great for a weekend getaway; a weekend vacation without leaving your chair.
I wish there were half stars. This would have been a 3.5 for me. I don’t like the main character. But I like the storyline. It’s definitely good enough to round up instead of down though.
I think I liked this book the most so far. By now I’m invested in the characters as well and I liked it a lot. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. 5 stars.
