Kayla Chase writes sexy, feel-good romance full of laughter, friendships, and family. Her stories usually include crazy get togethers, fun festivals or events, and towns that feel like characters themselves. She also writes happy endings because real life and adulting can be way too hard.

She lives near Seattle but also grew up in California, which gives her lots of beautiful places to include in her stories (such as Sonoma wine country). While she's also lived in Japan and England, she has yet to figure a way to get her characters to those places. (But she does travel on a shoestring when she gets the chance!)

When not writing, she loves to read, jog on her treadmill, fit in some yoga, or try new recipes in the kitchen. More often than not, her cats derail her plans and make things, er, interesting.

4.25⭐️ This book was really good! This is a small town romance with grumpy/sunshine trope. Sabrina is hired to help a winery get a boost in business and has to stay at the winery to help. Beck and his family own the struggling business and has to work with Sabrina to help the business. I loved the characters in this book and was laughing at some points and I can’t wait to see who gets their own book. Their is also a bit of suspense in this book but overall it is a cute slow burn small town romance with forced proximity.

While it took me the first couple of chapters to get into the story, I fell in love with it by the end.

Sabrina and Beckett are forced to work together when Sabrina comes to Starry Hills to get the family to sign a contract with her company and get a promotion through that. Beck, who is the second oldest of five siblings and the one, who after his father's death took on the role of a parent and the male leader of the family. Giving up his dreams to take over the farm and winery. When his younger brother, who was supposed to lead the talks with Sabrina, gets injured, he is forced to take over the negotiations, spending every day with her and having to do things that he, as a very grumpy anti-social person, does not want to do.

Sabrina has had to deal with quite a bit in her life, leaving her without a family and only with her career and her best friend. Which is why getting this new promotion is so important to her. And while she also is a person who does not really like to have too much face-to-face contact with clients, she would do anything to get this promotion, especially when confronted with the other option for the promotion, a grade a douchebag who follows her to Starry Hills and tries everything to sabotage her deal.

Sabrina and Beck both have had such a hard childhood and have been forced to grow up quicker and with more hurdles than they deserve. And once they opened up to each other and let the other in, they started helping each other slowly heal. Beck helping Sabrina by slowly coaxing her out of her workaholic cave, sometimes by literally throwing her over his shoulder, and giving her the family she always wanted and needed. And Sabrina by helping Beck to come to terms with his trauma from his father's death, as well as getting him out of his workaholic shell by getting him to take some time off to help her with things or showing her around the farm and town.

I can't wait to see more of this family and small town in the next book.

Funny and heartwarming. A family and a small town with a lot of character. It was fun and has all the feels. The character development for the two main characters as well as for the family is on point. The delicate and very prevalent subject of emotional abuse was addressed by the author and handled very well.

Absolutely adore the start to this new series and can’t wait to visit again. I received this book as an ARC and was asked to give an honest review of it.

I really really enjoyed reading this one. It was perfect from start to finish. I loved how Sabrina comes over to small town and we see the way she gets familiar with all the small town shenanigans. I loved the big family dinner every night. And obviously we love Aunt Lori, she’s the best Wolfe.

Beck and Sabrina were so great together. I loved how stubborn they both were and how they actually got together. They are like go big or go home and I was here for it. The only thing that messed me up was the whole plot line about the winery being destroyed for something so trivial. Like the author felt like she wanted to include a mystery plot but honestly that was so so obvious. I also hated the whole third act breakup thing, I wasn’t here for that.

First book I have read by Kayla Chase and it definitely won't be the last.
Really enjoyed the story and loved both of the main characters.
I am looking forward to the next stories in the series which follows the family.
I did like how at the end of the book it gave a bit of a taster of what the next book will focus on.

Thank you Social Butterfly Pr for this Arc to review! 3.75 for this book! I absolutely loved the story. It got knocked down a bit because this was not enemies to lovers. It was denial insta love at best IMO. Haha. And not that it was bad, I just felt they weren’t truly hating each other, just in the middle of a conflict. While some parts of the story were predictable, I wasn’t expecting some of the blow out to happen the way they did and kept the story intriguing. Looking forward to the next book in this series!!

Book: Want Me Forever, By Kayla Chase

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

* Enemies to Lovers
* Forbidden Love
* Forced Proximity
* Sunshine vs. Grumpy

TW: Contains thoughts, memories, and discussions of childhood verbal abuse and emotional neglect.

I wasn’t so sure about those book in the beginning, I wasn’t so sure I could follow through with reading it with how sweet Sabrina downed herself in the beginning. But I pushed through, and I’m so glad that I did! This book was fantastic, an emotional roller coaster, there were parts in the book I just found myself crying happy tears, I know judge me if you must 😂.

27 year old, Sabrina, is looking to better career and get her dream job. No matter what the voice of her mother in her head says. Sabrina had a rough childhood and because of this she struggles to see herself as worthy of anything that could benefit her. You see her in the first few pages of the book fighting with her moms verbal abuse, that still haunts her to this day. Sabrina is offered an opportunity to get a promotion, she must get Wolfe Family Farm and Winery to sign a contract to work with her PR firm. She is sent to Starry Hills to get to know the family better, and see how she can help them turn their sells around. The day she arrives she goes to the Festival to get take a look at the Wolfe family Farms booth and get an idea on how they operate without being known as The PR rep. This stunt ends up getting her out on Beckett Wolfe’s bad side.

Beckett is the second oldest of 6 siblings. When he was 18 his father had passed away, and asked him on his death bed to take care of the farm, and he has taken that to heart to this day. He’s a stubborn, grump who enjoys spending time in the vineyard versus being at festivals or having to meet with PR reps. That’s usually his brother, Zach’s job, but he just had to go and fall out of a tree and break his leg.

Beck is having a hard time leaving the business in someone else’s hands while he is at the festival, but then woman in formfitting dark jeans, black boots, and a gray winter coat walks up. He doesn’t know what has come over him but no matter what he does he can’t get this mysterious woman out of his head all evening. The next morning Sabrina shows up at his office and it dawns on him why she was there, she was spying on them. This doesn’t sit well with Beck, and he feels deceived and puts his walls up even higher.

Sabrina and Beck feel this attraction to each other that they ultimately fight, because it’s just not something they can give into. However, as they get to know each other strange things start to happen around the farm, and tensions start to rise. Sabrina is finding herself wanting to share things with Beck she hasn’t even told her best friend, Taylor. But can she let go of the voice of her mom and trust that Beck is the real deal, or should she let Beck go and not ruin his families legacy?

Omg… where do I start!!! I love this, it was such an adorable read!

Let’s start with the plot! I love all of the moments from the funny banter to the drama. This book had so many good moments where it had me laughing and then it had some sad moments. The way the author built up the drama was so well done and not rushed at all. A lot of the time I read a cute romance and the author brings in drama I feel like it’s rushed and not really thought through but the drama is this book was amazing, it started off with very little drama and it built up at a steady pace which I loved. There was so many cute moments that had me giggling and blushing!

Now let’s talk about the characters!!! Sabrina is amazing! I love how her and beck matched eachother! Her character was so well done and she was such a funny and entertaining character to read about. We learn a lot about her past and it was nice how she made a lot of references to how she was in the past, it really helped to see how much she had changed and how she went through something bad but she shows how strong she is and she has her moments where she’s not really feeling happy and okay but she knows how to keep going and as the book goes on you see how she starts letting beck in and it’s adorable to see them finally together! Beck is honestly amazing! At the start he was giving me grumpy dad vibes but as we got to see alittle more of his pov and we got to know him better we see how amazing he really is. We see how he just wants to look after his family and protect them. The side characters time!! The wolf family are all amazing from the brothers to the sisters to the aunt, I don’t know who’s better. There are 4 wolf brothers other than beck and in this book we only meet 3 of them (Nolan, West, Zack). Nolan is only in the book for a few pages but the ones we get to read show that he’s gonna be an adorable character! He’s shy and funny, I hope to read more about him in the next book hopefully! Now onto west! He is protracted as a very grumpy character (just like beck) and we don’t really see anything else of him yet. We do come to learn that he cares about his brothers a lot more than he shows off! Last but not least is Zack! We didn’t see much of him either but from the few moments we saw with him was so sweet! We can tell his more of the teasing/flirty brother so reading his chapters was really cute and funny! Aunt Lori is definitely one of my favourite characters! Absolutely loved her and her emoji obsession 🤣 I loved how she’s very sneaky woman! She knew how beck fault and she helped him without him knowing when it comes to Sabrina!

Overall this book is a really adorable and cute country read! I love the tropes that were in it and I can’t wait to read the next book!!

Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this as an ARC, I really appreciated and enjoyed every part of this book!

This is book one in the Starry Hills series & is Beckett and Sabrina's story. The story takes the reader on a wonderful ride of emotions and family. Sabrina's background is an emotional one that she's worked hard to overcome & is trying to excel at her job. She is tasked with working with Beckett to work on PR for his family's winery. Beckett feels he needs to take care of everything. They bang heads at first and then slowly learn to like each other and go on their journey. The emotional growth & willingness to take chances is part of that journey.

The story simply unfolds and is beautifully written. There's hills and valleys as with any relationship. Add to that, Zach and his spider texting, Aunt Lori and her emojis, the teasing, the shirts, & Beckett's siblings. I laughed out loud - I never laugh out loud when reading. The reader gets a sense they are along with them on their journey. Relationships between the siblings are mended while Beckett takes chances and Sabrina realizes she has a real family and doesn't have to be the strong one. They both end up taking chances. There are two "villains" in the story. One is a misogynist and thinks he's owed everything. He's obvious from the beginning and it needs to be due to Sabrina's story. The other, you don't realize is a user until the end & it leaves the reader hoping that one gets their just dessert. The reader falls in love with the town which is unusual because in most cases the location is an afterthought. The author took great pains to describe the town and winery & the secondary characters that the reader can see themselves there. There are a few unresolved threads, but they don't distract from the story. The text chain, teasing, sibling relations, accepting of Sabrina and characters growth takes the reader on an emotional journey which leaves you feeling you've spent time with good friends, and everyone is in a good place at the moment.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Sabrina has worked very hard to get where she is in her life, but still struggles daily with her painful past, somedays it's like an anchor that pulls her down, but she is determined to not let it completely win out. She's also making steps towards having the successful career she always dreamed of, but her love life is a different story. The last guy she dated really did a number on her, so jumping back into a relationship isn't that high on her list right now. That is until she meets grumpy, but very handsome, winery owner Beckett Wolfe...

Between the pages of this wonderfully penned book lies a love story that is bound to touch your heart and make you blush a time or two. Beckett doesn't have time in his busy life for love but the woman sent to help him boost his families' wine business has him thinking otherwise. From the moment Sabrina sets foot onto his farm he feels the tension brewing between them and sees the possibilities that lie there, but adding a relationship to his already busy life doesn't sound like a good idea. So he does what he does best and shows her his grumpier, less cooperative side, but little does he realize Sabrina is his match and she isn't going away that easily. She has a job to do and she is going to do it come heck or high water!

I loved watching the romance between these two unfold, Beck tried his best to push Sabrina away, but she was stubborn and stood her ground. She wanted the promotion and the guy too and found a way to make it work... even if it might get her into some trouble. Their banter made me laugh, their heated glances and dirty talk made me blush, and the feels they shared touched my heart... it was such a good first read for me. Highly recommend this one, these two will have you in their corner at first meet and keep you thoroughly entertained the whole way through!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

This story was so freaking adorable I can't even. I loved the back-and-forth banter between Beck and Sabrina. He was stubborn and taking on the world. Taking control of his family and letting the past keep him from being happy. She was trying to prove her mother wrong and make a name for herself. Even if that meant doing things she didn't want too.

Sabrina deserved the Wolfe family. Never having experienced the love that a child should have. It meant everything that they'd taken her in so warmly. The world needs more Aunt Lori's in the world. Even if Beck and Sabrina hadn't gotten together, she still would've been welcomed with open arms. And that's absolutely beautiful. I love that for her. I love that she was able to find her family, and get away from the toxic workplace that she was trapped in.

Beck was so determined to take the world on by himself it was killing him. Even if he didn't realize it yet. Him letting his family back in. Letting them take some of the controls. It was everything. Sabrina helped him see that he wasn't living. He was surviving. And it wasn't working. Even with Justin and all his attempts. They both ended up on top and found happiness.

I love the Wolfe family. I can't wait to read more about them. West and Millie??? I need to know. Or Emmy now. I prefer Millie. That's my canine daughter's name. So clearly, I'm bias. I look forward to hearing more about their journey as we see the other members find their someone's. Plus, I'm a sucker for a good country romance.

Damn this book is great. It had me from the start. I love Sabrina she is without a doubt my fave character. I felt so bad for her at times, she really just wanted to get her promotion and prove to herself and mother that she is enough and worth it.
When her boss whom I dislike has a task that can lead to the promotion she asks Sabrina and idiot Justin to present their presentations.

Sabrina is nervous but she can't wait to help out the Wolfe Family Farm and Winery, she has what it takes. She wants to get to know them and everything. But what she didn't plan for is Beck. Beck being an owner of this place is tough and stubborn.
Doesn't trust her not to change what their family values are.

But what turns into a week of stay with the family, ends up changing both Beck and Sabrina’s future.
Sabrina’s fears of never being good enough start to fade being around the family. Aunt Lori is hilarious with her texting and the rest of the family is great as well. When "accidents" start happening at the farm, Sabrina decides its all because of her. Someone is out to ruin her and for the first time her happiness. Beck hard and stubborn as he is starts to win over Sabrina and himself. I don't want to give away the whole book, but uh what are you waiting for pick this book up. Really wish I had the next book. I want to learn more about the older brother. And also hoping for more information about Beck and Sabrina.

Sabrina is up for a promotion of a lifetime and she will do whatever she can to show her boss that she is capable of landing the media relations spot over the jerk that is making her life not a good one. Going to the small town and nailing the social media for Wolfe Family Farm and Winery which is located near the small town of Starry Hills. When Sabrina suggests a more hands-on her boss agrees, but she has very little time to convince the Wolfe family that their firm is perfect for the job. But her biggest issue is gonna be the man that makes her heart beat out of her chest Beckett Wolfe. He has been in charge of his family's farm since he was 18. Trying to take care of his siblings with the help of his hilarious aunt. When he meets Sabrina sparks fly, but they both have a job to do. Now it's up to Sabrina to convince them that she's it. When things start happening on their land, well she's gonna have to decide what her next move is. Even if it means breaking not only her heart but all of the Wolfe family. Beckett is about to have the fight of his life. Can he regain what was lost?

I read this book as a ARC. When Sabrina went to the town of Starry Hill she found more than what she was looking for. She has had to fight her inner self doubts and history all her life to find that she didn’t really need success instead she needed a family that believed in her. Beck Wolfe has a family that he has tried to rule and keep together; however he finds that he is missing parts of what a family should be because he is too ridged and refuses to forgive even himself for what he sees as shortcomings. Can these two come together and save the family winery? Will they fight their attraction or let it guide them in defeating the greedy villains that threaten to destroy their way of life? This small town will get under your skin and make you want to move. Kayla does a great job of bringing this vibrant town to life making you want to root for the good guys and the entire family. I look forward to reading about the siblings. I would recommend this this book to all who love snark and emojis.

The book seemed to get off to a slow start, but I’m SO happy I stuck with it. Great story of Sabrina and Beckett in the small town of Starry Hills. Sabrina (sunshine) had a tough childhood and still grappled with self-worth and self-doubt. She’s vying for a promotion in the PR firm she works for and her nemesis is her competition. Beckett (grumpy) is the oldest sibling and feels responsible for making the family business (winery/vineyard) a success. He also suffers from guilt in regard to an event that would affect his family forever.

They got off to a rocky start (Beckett was an ass!) but eventually, they helped to heal each other and came together. Sabrina fell for Beckett’s family as much as she fell for him. (They are fun and fantastic!) There is some danger facing Sabrina and the winery, and their being together is forbidden because of her job.

Loved the bonus epilogue with a glimpse into their future. I’m looking forward to more of this family and Starry Hills in the next book.

Want Me Forever is a fabulous read. I really enjoyed this one. Sabrina is stronger than she gives herself credit. No matter what she went through growing up she knows what she wants out of life. The only thing she did not see coming was Beck and his family. Beck is grumpy and does not want to change things up at his family winery. I love how Sabrina and Becky have this beautiful affect on each other. You feel the pull even when it's against company policy for Sabrina. This a small town read filled with a lot of heart. I love how Starry Hills just pulls Sabrina in like she's always been there. I could not get enough of Beck and Sabrina. I cannot wait to read more in the Starry Hills series to come.

Sabrina is in line for a promotion if she can land this new client - a family run winery. Beckett has run the winery since his father passed, and he’s not an easy one to win over. Both head strong, these two are set to clash. Will they both get what they need?

Beckett is swoon worthy material, and the newest book boyfriend on my roster. He’s head strong and stubborn, but deeply loves and honours his family. But it’s his dirty mouth that wins you over. He swears a lot, but it feels right for this character. His dirty mouth is chefs kiss.

Sabrina, oh my, the upbringing she had and the lack of mothering she endured was something else and truly broke my heart. She’s broken and just needs to feel and surround herself with love even though she’s wary of it all.

This story is simply stunning. There’s angst, there’s spicy spice, there’s amazing side characters and there’s a crazy person bringing all the drama to the story.

The banter between Beck and Sabrina is amazing, their little inside jokes are adorable, and the family group chats are hilarious. Insert all the emojis here.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series, and see how things turn out for the rest of the Wolfe family.

This book started off absolutely fantastic for me! But as it went, it just didn’t connect with me. I LOVED the sexual tension between Sabrina and Beckett. The banter was absolute gold. The mysterious sabotage that kept happening kept me wanting to read more and find out what the heck was going on.

But once we find out who it is and Sabrina’s job takes a back seat to their relationship, the book lost me. Don’t get me wrong, the steamy scenes are great and Beckett had me swooning with his “good girl” dirty talk, but I just wish the main plot continued a little bit more. It felt a little disjointed to me. If we could’ve had the steamy scenes but the drama of her job together more, I feel like I would’ve been more invested until the end.

WANT ME FOREVER

FAMILY DRAMA, ENEMIES TO LOVERS!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4/5 3/5🌶️🌶️🌶️

Such a good book to read. The characters are a breath of fresh air. This book has some past family drama/trauma. The FMC deals with internal issues and the MMC has his own struggles with wanting to run the company like his father and not letting anyone down.
Sabrina comes into the lives of Beck and the Wolfe family due to work. She is to stay at the winery to get a feel for what she can do to help the family with their business. Not knowing she would be having an attraction to one of the Wolfe men. Beck, he’s the boss of the family but not by choice, once their father passed he took on the role. There are tons of funny scenes. Absolutely enjoyed this one.

Recommend this book.

I am so mad at why everyone isn’t reading this?!
I mean, this book surprised me in the best way possible.

The setting and the premise of the book was so perfect! You all know how much I love small town romances. AND NOT TO FORGET THE WHOLE WOLFE FAMILY. It made me laugh out loud so many times, that I’ve lost count. AUNT LORI IS MY SPIRIT ANIMAL.

Sabrina was sent as a marketing agent to promote Beck’s winery. And the FORCED PROXIMITY trope aced it here. I found their relationship genuinely interesting and the way they teased each other was so hilarious.

Let us not forget their inside jokes. THE SHEEP ONE🤣
And how he fulfilled her “cowboy boots” fantasy (iykyk)
The way he cooked her favourite food ufff

Sabrina and Beck

Sabrina, a victim of traumatic childhood trauma is pitching her PR plan and trying to win over a new winery owner. Beck, took over his family’s winery business at a young age after his father passed away and doesn’t trust strangers.
As Sabrina tours the winery and small surrounding town of Starry Hills, she starts to fall for the grumpy and serious Beck. He in turn finds himself loosening up and falling for the sweet city girl.
Very slow burn and just felt like slow progression of the story. While I understand the build up, it dragged for me. Once the romance heated up, we find Beck is a serious dirty talker and scenes do get a little spicy. Lots of work drama surrounding Sabrina and can tell there’s building for the series.

❤️ I really love small town romance and Want Me Forever served that trope nicely!

❤️ First, thank you so much to Kayla and Social for giving me this opportunity of reading this beautiful story!!

❤️ Beck and Sabrina, gah, what to say about them, I loved their banter, I loved the tension and the way they were attracted to each other and the spicy sceness oufff! I also loved how we had a plus-sized female main character, it was so relatable as I was reading, because I could feel what Sabrina was feeling🥺

❤️ From the funny family group chats to Beck and Sabrina's romance, I liked it all! It was a nice one❤️

I loved the Wolfe family bond that, despite tragedy, distance and hurt feelings, means they would do anything to help and protect those they love. Sabrina's family experience was the polar opposite with an emotionally abusive mother. Despite Beckett's initial reluctance to co-operate with Sabrina, he comes to appreciate her ideas and I liked how he cared for her when danger lurked. I really liked the fun and witty comments. I liked how the family worked together and with Sabrina to ensure the Winery's future. This was an enjoyable start to this series and I can't wait to read the remaining family stories.

I have read this book as an ARC reader. I truly enjoyed the banter between the two main characters. The MMC is protective and kind. He goes out at the crack of dawn to get something for the FMC even though she didn't ask for it and probably wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't there.

The FMC as dealing with deep rooted issues and had a hard time believing what her situation was. His family embrace her immediately and they are honestly the stars of the show!

The whole book felt rushed, and I would have loved to see where the characters go from here.

I loved this book. The characters had great depth and the story touched on some seriously emotional issues with amazing sensitivity and consideration. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters and cannot wait to delve further into the lives of this family in future books. A well written storyline that I ended up binge reading to finish in the early hours of the morning because I wasn’t willing to wait and see how it ended.
I received this book as an ARC and my review is voluntary.

Sabrina is ready for a promotion at her marketing firm. It will also move her away from the coworker harassing her. She just has to get this new client to sign with her boss' firm. Beckett would rather he working in the vineyard, not meeting a marketing person. This was a great read. Frustrated with Sabrina's boss and coworker's actions. It was wonderful to she Beckett and Sabrina grow was individuals and a couple.

Want Me Forever

I enjoyed this story, I got plenty of smiles out of it. Spending time with the characters of Starry Hills is time well spent. I liked the way Sabrina brought the fun Beck out and I was really pleased that Beck had learnt how to rustle cattle, I never would have thought he was a cattle thief lol.
I liked the pace of this story and the bit of suspense kept it interesting.

this is some good stuff

The main man has the mouth of my dreams - all meanings meant.
It was so close to being a 5 for me but wasn’t quite filthy enough for me. Now that’s not to say the spice doesn’t hit it’s just for a 5 from me it needs to happen a little bit more.

I will however be recommending to my friends and this will have to go on the trophy shelf once I know the series is complete

ARC Review
(No Spoilers)

This book was absolutely amazing! Love the small town romance era that I'm in. It also gives me a bit of an enemies to lovers vibe as well.

Beck and Sabrina are everything in this book and I want to move to Starry Hills immediately. I loved their banter they had back and forth.

If you love small town romance, this needs to be added to your list ASAP!!!!
