S. McPherson is a young British expat living in Dubai and working as a kindergarten teacher. When she is not at work immersed in a world of imagination and fantasy created by the children, she is immersed in her own worlds of imagination and fantasy at home, dreaming up tales and writing them down.
Fit for the Throne is S. McPherson’s latest series full of hope, heart and heat!!
My only wish is that I had read all the books back to back because ngl I forgot a lot of the supporting characters.
Okay no, I have a second. I really wish the pull between the Heroine and main villian would have been fleshed out more. I feel like there could have been more build up in regard to her taking back her power. It was hinted at, but I think it could have been a bit more heavy handed.
Other than that, delightful read! Spicy was nice and spicy while the HEA was put on the line enough that for a moment (even though you know it is going to happen) you are invested enough to suspend that thought for a bit.
The series is basically the Hunger games, meets Red Shoe diaries, meets, I dunno every mythical creature that you can think of. Most importantly the Black heroine felt and read like a young Black woman. I really did enjoy the series. Excellent work!
I did enjoy this one. It did not play into the mate bond as much as I would’ve liked, but thats my personal preferences lol. The book is great. Perfect wrap up and ending.
This is book 3 in the Fit For The Throne series. The romance in this book is hot, and heavy as Varialla, and Exekiel have chosen each other. The book is very spicy just like the previous books. Varialla and Exekiels mating bond encourages intimacy. The book highlights this wonderfully. The book moves at a steady pace as Varialla struggles to break Lochs hold, and participate in the games, all while trying to lead a rebellion. Exekiel is off recruiting for the rebellion, and supporting Varialla any way he can. There is intense discoveries made that will help solidify everyones decision on which side they belong on. Varialla really comes into herself more, blooming into a powerful being. Exekiel really picks up the supporting mate role, while remaining deliciously naughty. The book really adds more in this book as all the pieces fall into place. This book is a spicy fantasy masterpiece.
I had not been so consumed by a story in so long! But this story, THIS STORY! Absolutely CONSUMED ME! I loved everything about it! The twists and turns, the angst, the longing, the action, so much action! Let’s not forget the love and the SPICE! And I won’t lie, there was A LOT but it wasn’t overwhelming to the point the the plot was shadowed by it. The characters grew so much throughout the books and we got to see it all happen, the loss, the betrayal, the understanding and acceptance. It was just beautifully written. This found family will stick with me for a long time, I was attached to not only the main characters but the side characters as well, they were just as important, each had their own heart wrenching story. No stone was left unturned with these books, every question answered and it was such a satisfying ending. Now I’m gonna go wallow in a book hang over because I’m not sure anything can top this
I enjoy this story, I was so sad that it was.done. I want to see the other beings in the book get there own book. The dragons made me smile but I was sad that Loch die because he wanted his people free but the way that he did it was so mess up. The people of the sea had suffered so much at the hands of those on the land so I could see why they wanted them to suffer like they did but to make people sick and kill each other was too far but this author knows how to take it to the edge and not leave you there but towards a sad but beautiful end. I hope you read all 3 books and enjoy them like I did, as always happy reading😘
This was a great conclusion to the series! I was so disappointed in her mom. I was really hoping that she was different, but the truth was a little twisted. This was such a rough journey for our gang, but they grew and developed so much from book 1 to book 3.
One thing that never changed was V & E's inability to keep their hands off each other! Wow! It's just so good! I would love to see some spin-offs for certain characters and be able to check in on the V & E through their books!
Overall, 3 stars for the whole series! I feel like the story had more direction as it progressed, and I liked the ending. If you’re looking for a romantasy read that equally emphasizes both plot and spice, I feel like this is a fair one to try! There are a lot of magical creatures in a totally magical world, but I didn’t find the world building to be super intense or convoluted. I actually think I would’ve preferred a little more world building and really expanding on some of the characters and cast systems, but it still was enjoyable!
I didn’t leave reviews on the other books because I was too engrossed and had to finish the series. This author truly grass, the attention and a pervy side. If you have one each character was developed and changed in someways more than another only thing I can say negative is I honestly felt like the book was leading up to a pregnancy that we didn’t get one it was truly beautiful and twistedand kept me engaged thank you
I don’t often leave written reviews but this was a totally original spin on shifters, mermaids, dragons etc! The plot line is superb and had me hooked. Even though you do get a vibe of the Hunger Series and stuff it was completely its own story. You will totally enjoy the ride. Start with book 1, you won’t regret the laughs, horror and adrenaline rush
I absolutely love how this series ended. The conflicting emotions, the resolve, the strength, the spiciness! So hot! I really appreciate how the leads don't turn into these perfect heroes, but real, flawed, feeling characters throughout the series. There's a lot of growth, but not cheesy hero style.
Wow this has been an amazing series, I loved the ups and downs. The graphic details, the betrayals discoveries and enemies to lovers trope. Sis truly is a spectacular writer and I can't wait to read more
SPOILERS: I loved Loch's demise though I wish her mother's was more detailed. Other than that I enjoyed every moment of this series
I binged this series. As soon as I finished one book, I was reading the next...even if it was 3 in the morning. Ex is my new book boyfriend. And Vee is every girls shero. (Heavy Sigh). I hated to see it end, but the ending didn't disappoint. Now, I'm off to buy more books by S. McPherson; a true hidden gem.
The fit for the throne series had my emotions on a Rollercoaster! There were times I laughed, cursed, and cried. I became so connected to all the characters. I was totally invested in the story and dreaded reaching the end. If you are into the paranormal, fantasy with a fusion of romance, suspense, and action, this is the book for you. Do enjoy!
Great series, brilliant concept, fantastic characters, the MMC is a DREAM, loved the ending too. Small continuity errors throughout the series but more so in the 2nd book and a few in the 3rd, just small details that change page to page. Book one also has a bit of cringe, but the story and characters are worth it 🔥
I enjoyed this series very much. Its interesting how you imagine and wish for someone be only to be disappointed. The strength in you is pulled even in fantasy.
Brilliant writing and a beautiful imagination.. I lapped up every word and did not want the series to end. I will look forward to more from S. McPherson. Very impressed😍
I didn't love this book, but I also didn't hate it. It was enjoyable enough for me to not DNF, but there were a lot of decisions made by the characters that were so dumb considering the situation they were in and annoying points of view (Loch's) that I didn't care to read for, which almost made this a lower rating than what I'm giving it. Maybe it's because I've gotten older, but this book also made me come to the realization that I think the soulmates/fated mates' trope can be a copout for authors to not actually develop a relationship into something that is believable if you ignore the bond. I've read all three books in this series, and I'm not convinced that the MC and the LI would stay together if they weren't "fated" to be together. The smut scenes were hot, though.
