This run kind of goes out with a whimper, not a bang. Kind of typical fair for speedsters, but nothing really memorable. The only point of note is the arrival of Wally and Iris's son, Wade, who almost immediately get captured by Granny Goodness.
Looking forward to seeing what is happening in the new run of Flash.
Still not a horrible read though. Recommend.

loved the story with mr terrific and the time stuff but thought the ending was abrupt and unexplained which was just a really unfortunate way to end the great run the jeremy Adams was having

Fantastic. Not much can be said about writer Jeremy Adams great run on the Flash. I feel he didn't always have the best of artist but with great dialogue, pacing, and okay illustration work these Flash stories are a great deal better than most of the series being published currently at DC comics. Jeremy Adams stories just feel fun and ooze with the hope you want from great superhero storytelling. Wally West has always been more of an optimistic character and for many DC comics fans growing up the nineties he is our Flash. The first have of the book is just a small and small adventure featuring Wally's kids Jai and Irey. It was whimsical yet I enjoyed the character interaction. The inclusion of the Super Sons aka Damian Wayne and Jon Kent was a bonus. The hole Super Kids vibe is a great concept I hope the editors consider following up on in the future. It was a big mistake to age Jon Kent up so fast because the Super sons was such an amazing series. The back half Jeremy Adams run sees Wally trying to save his newborn son from Granny Goodness and the forces of Apocalypse. Was great to see the Terrifics in this story even though they didn't get mush dialogue. It is sad that we have to say goodbye to Adams for Flash. I have been enjoying his run on Green Lantern so far. Adams just gets the DC universe and I am crossing my fingers that DC comics will consider him for a bigger title like Justice League , Superman or even Batman in the near future. The last issue is more of a celebration special with stories by past Flash writers including Geoff Johns & Joshua Williamson. The tales were fun and lighthearted. If you haven't read Mr. Adams run on the Flash please jump on it asap. Here are few DC books I recommend you check out if you enjoyed this book: The Terrifics, Vol. 1: Meet the Terrifics, Flash Forward, The Flash, Vol. 1: Lightning Strikes Twice, The Flash, Vol. 8: Flash War, Flashpoint Beyond, and Green Lantern 1: Back in Action.

This one was so fun seeing the focus on kids as Wally and Linda are out somewhere and they have to team up with Super-sons from the past and Maxine and their Uncle Ace to stop Knives maroney and his legion of villains and its such a heartfelt issue and shows you the strength of this run and the utter joy of reading it and its so awesome focus on these flashes of next generation!

Then whatever is going on with Wally as Granny Goodness has kidnapped his new kid WADE and so he puts together a team to save it and I love how the team comes together and its a wild ride as they face wild scenarios and also the return of Gold Beetle and OmegaBamMan and he is such a fun character and how he saves the kid is the story and also a fun villain for wally and I always love when new gods weave into it, plus the thing with Mr Terrific and damn big status quo change for him!

There is the #800th issue special with the villains recalling how Central city is so dangerous because of Wally because he stops them every time and its cute and just shows you how great a hero he is that he will go to ends of time and space to solve the problems and the return of Zolomon which was an okay story and one with Barry and Iris and what they mean to Wally told from Wally's POV and I freaking love it! Its like one of the most tribute to silver age stories there is and shows how influenced Wally is by Barry and its awesome!

Loved the volume overall, a great ending to Adam's run and it will make you love the Flash and his mythos and all, and Wally as a character and his family!! The art as usual is awesome!!

Adams' run on The Flash ends with this set of shorter stories. The first stars Wally's children which, as I've noted before, I'm none too keen on as protagonists. It works well enough, and sets up the second story but there's always a feeling that nothing too bad can happen to kids in a typical comic book; perhaps they'll be more interesting in their late teens - except, of course, we'll probably never get there.

The second story works better for me, pulling together plenty of strands from earlier in the run. It has an often comedic tone, with Wally teaming up with a group of lesser-known heroes to save his newborn son (thus wrapping up the storyline about Linda's pregnancy). It's fun, and a decent, if relatively low-key, ending to the plot arc.

The final set of stories are unconnected, a quick and somewhat variable anthology to fill up issue #800. Adams' offering is another comedy, with a group of Z-list villains explaining why they're more frightened of the Flash than Batman or Superman. The remaining three are by different writers, two of them entertaining - one featuring Impulse and one Barry Allen - and one, with Zoom monologuing about his life, rather less so (this last gives the impression of setting something up, however, and may work better in context than it does on its own).

Taken together, it all feels a little uneven, as anthologies often do. It's not a bad way to end things, and there are some interesting things for the next writer to pull on should they wish to do so, but the disjointed nature means it isn't quite up to the earlier standard.

Alas, all good things, and all that. Jeremy Adams' wonderful run on The Flash comes to an end in this final volume, which sends Wally across the universe to rescue his wayward children from Granny Goodness, while Linda goes into labour. Plus, Flash greats like Joshua Williamson and Geoff Johns return for one last story each in the oversized #800.

Adams' run has always been about family first, and he's embraced a lot of the Flash stuff that writers have been scared to embrace for years now. As much as I enjoyed the Rebirth run under Williamson, this always felt a lot more like the Flash runs of old, and I wish it could have gone on for years and years.

A great but unfortunate ending to the Jeremy Adams Flash run. Great in the sense that the story is fun, Adams is a fantastic writer, not only writing unique and entertaining stories for the characters but stories that allow for the characters to flourish and show what they stand for, not some dissected post-modern take that most writers take post Grant Morrison. It's sad in the sense that this series was abruptly ended with Adams getting pushed to Green Lantern. This series was really going and so much fun. Highly recommend! Grade: B+

The West family is about to grow larger...
if they can get their newborn baby (Wade West) out of Granny Goodness' hands

(Who knows why an Apokolips baddie would want a baby steeped in Speed Force energy. Just run with it. It's fun. You like fun, right? See? Told you. Just go with it)

Bonus: Also has a story from issue #800 that sets up Wally's new Speed Force glitch. *Dun dun DUN*
Bonus Bonus: Alternate universe Super Sons make a cameo (and will probably be back)

The Flash Vol 20: Time Heist
By Jeremy Adams

Another fun blast from Adams. He keeps on bringing fun books. This Volume however is short. The new member of the Flash family is finally here, WADE WEST IS HERE BOYS.

And Granny abducted the newborn, talk about having adventures from the very moment you were born. It was a funny book, the plot wasn't the best but it was quick and worthy.

7/10

Some chaos and a little pandering, but with some of the authors in this collection a deep understanding of what might be the most fascinating character in the DC Universe. Speed here is not just a condition, but an integral part of a life.
