Using Staz's powerful magic, Braz has successfully resurrected his father, Richarz, former king of the Demon World. Staz is furious that his brother has swindled him yet again-with Staz's blood and Braz's efforts going toward resurrection research, Staz and Fuyumi are back to square one on restoring her human body. But more pressing than Fuyumi's precarious state is that of the Demon World! When the dust settles, will a vampire or a werewolf be sitting on the throne?!
Yes! Just loving it more and more, even with overpowered villains running amok. I still love this so much! Love the increasing plot developments and the complicated ties between characters!
Blood Lad Volume Five keeps up with the suspense, action, and comedy that I love both in this series and in a lot of the books I read. The story pokes fun at some stories, with one moment in this volume being the main group of characters reading comics in order to find a way to defeat the main antagonist. If you love stories that don't take themselves too seriously, have goofy and frightening antagonists, but still understand how to capture a certain mood and let you understand the amount of danger that is about to awake in a scene, then I recommend this series for you. It's the fifth volume of the series, so I don't want to spoil anything important since there are large chunks of major events that occur in this volume.
PS: The Blood Lad series is in my definite top 5, due to how memorable it is and how it influenced me in wanting to create stories. If you liked what you heard, then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy.
Well we finally got that resurrection, but maybe not who we thought it was going to be for! So that was a pretty cool twist. Definitely digging this series more now that the powers and whatnot are shining more in the forefront. There's a significantly higher amount of comedy in this installment that I'm not mad about, either! AND THE DRAMA OF IT ALL!?!
Most of the mysteries appear to be solved; now there are the problems (loves and evils) to be solved. This is one of the best examples of story-telling I have seen in a manga.
