Really interesting book on the interplay between mind, body and emotion. Hill ruminates on the effects of hormones, habits and stigmas that can both positively and negatively alter our thoughts and our actions. Hill offers practical approaches and strategies to cultivate healthy relationships, foster agency and communicate effectively. Would definitely recommend this book it offers a lot of insight whilst being relatively easy to read! :)

I will admit, I had higher hopes for this book. I absolutely love Maisie, and period power remains one of the best books I have ever read, but this didn't cut it for me. There were many helpful pieces and bits and bobs that I would recommend the read for, like how she always starts her books with in depth biology so you understand the processes behind your thoughts, without jumping into gobbledy goop, but unfortunately I think there was a bit too much advertisement throughout for me, and it felt a bit "I know what I'm talking about, and you'll learn how to do this if you buy my membership" and her membership isn't cheap!

I loved Period Power and continue to recommend it whenever I can! But this book wasn’t quite as effective for me. The content has a lot of potential and there’s plenty of wisdom in this book. For me it feels like it’s covering an overview of a big range of topics without going in depth, and that format doesn’t work as well. I’m also not clear on who the audience is meant to be. It’s a bit repetitive for people who follow Maisie Hill’s other work and podcast. I hope others disagree with me and love this book because I want to support this author!

My first Maisie Hill book and I found it pretty powerful - excuse the pun! The chapter on procrastination hit hard as I was listening to the audiobook TO procrastinate! Then I ended up having a huge spring clean whilst listening to it and really enjoyed the easy approaches and learnings!
The hormone information was pretty interesting for me and I am keen to read Maisie’s period power book now too.

3.5. Some good tips and insights, easy to read and relate. Not groundbreaking, but helpful if it’s your first time thinking about how to approach your life and your relationships with others.

This started great. I loved the chapter on procrastination. As it went on I found it less interesting however I've read a couple of self help books recently and the all ultimately say the same thing!

Something I needed was Maisie relating about the nervous system and how to tackle life.

Well written but quite wordy and hard to follow. Lots of informative stuff in there but I got bored and had to call it quits
