This is the second volume of the webtoon comic Age Matters and will cover chapters 16 to 25 (more or less) in the print version, although it is already available on the platform in its entirety.

This volume begins with Rose's first day on the job as Yoon Daniel's assistant, Mine's CEO.

Here we learn a little more about Daniel and his work, as well as meet other characters, such as Via. Who is an influencer and model who, apparently, is interested in Daniel. At the moment Via's character is presented as someone who is superficial and who is going to cause trouble and drama (and I'm here for the drama 🤭😂).

Also, Rose is quite absent-minded and doesn't notice certain things that are quite obvious and we see how Daniel is slowly getting to know Rose and taking an interest in her well-being (also, getting jealous, a little bit, because of the comments and attention that Dylan gives to Rose).

I like the way the plot is taking shape and how the characters and the background of each of them have been presented.

Yura has not reappeared 😂😂 I don't know whether to be upset or envy her 🤭

The art and drawing is simply outstanding and very well done, as is the plot of the story

It's a romantic, funny and very beautiful story, I can't wait to read it completely (which I will do since the comic is already finished and available on webtoon. Luckily).

I enjoyed it and have laughed quite a bit at Rose's witticisms.

I’m not sure if this was translated… but my problems with it are that it reads like a clunky translation. The story is somewhat interesting, I like the characters, but everything they say is stunted and feels awkward. I love the art style and the overall feel. I love the new characters introduced in this one, but I wish the “script” was better. For lack of a better word.

As a fan of the original webtoon, I was thrilled to see Age Matters Vol 2 slated for the shelves! It picks up right where the first volume left off, following the age-gap romance between Rose and Daniel. This volume dives deeper into their connection. We see them open up about their vulnerabilities, making them even more relatable characters. The slow-burn romance continues to simmer, with some steamy moments that are beautifully illustrated. The story also tackles the challenges of a workplace romance in a lighthearted way, which keeps things interesting. While I do not really enjoy the misunderstanding trope, I still loved this Webtoon to book adaptation.

3.5🌟 Me ha parecido un webtoon divertido aunque el final me ha faltado algo más. Algunas historias aunque haya historia corta se hace corta y saber algo más sobre estos personajes secundarios

Wattpad Webtoon Book Group provided an early galley for review.

I enjoyed the first volume of this manga earlier in the year, so I decided to continue with the story.

The story continues to move at a slower pace, even as the interactions shift to the corporate offices. The staff is full of attractive individuals, all beautifully rendered in the art. It reminds me in a lot of ways of soap operas I watched as a young adult - full of relationship tensions.

Another aspect of the art which I like is how it is very cinematic in its presentation. Gestures are conveyed over several panels; I feel like I am watching an anime rather than reading a static manga.

I like their dynamics, however, I can't see them romantically. For me, Rose is just like a mother or sister figure to Daniel, who is assisting him or teaching him all the stuff that he doesn't know. She is his guide, and she is introducing him to things that are new to him or things that he was scared of. While Daniel is providing the things Rose needed as well. It seems to me that they are just depending on each other.

The second volume of Age Matters features chapters 16-25 of the Webtoon. When the physical copy of the book arrived in the mail, I was disappointed to see it was at least 100 pages shorter than the first volume. To me, not including at least 15 chapters like the first volume did comes across like a cash grab. I did, however, really enjoy the change they made to vibrant, glossy pages. This is a better medium for the art than the dull, matte paper they used in the first volume.

The art, as usual, is beautiful. This style has so much charm, but one critique I have with it is that some of the characters can look too much alike.

As for the story, I’m still frustrated that this was so much shorter than the first volume, but overall was still enjoyable. I did see other reviews that called out some of the clunky writing style, and I agree but also think some of that has to do with how this was edited prior to release in physical form. I noticed at least one error in formatting (repetition of text twice in a row) which was also present in the first volume. Clearly, since they changed the name of the social media company that Daniel created from Lime to Mine, they’re editing this (although I also don’t like that change since Mine is such a common word and I keep forgetting when they say it that they’re referring to the company). It just seems sloppily done overall.

5 stars for my nostalgic enjoyment of the story. 3 stars for the adaptation of this webtoon to a physical form.

Overall Rating: 4 stars.

A big thank you to Netgalley and the publisher, Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, for providing me with an advanced copy of this graphic novel in exchange for an honest review!

⭐⭐⭐/5 Stars

This is a second volume of a web toon that has been pretty popular before coming to a book context. Overall the story of Age Matters is a cute romance with an age gap and also between a woman who is working for a very successful but younger man. Throughout the story you see Rose stay committed to working her hardest and also seeing that Daniel is also showing that he really appreciates and also starting to recognize maybe he has more feelings then he lets on.

I will say I have not read the first volume, so I went into this blind, and I think that has affected my personal opinions on this story. I do think that you will have to read the first volume to have a better idea of the characters. It was not impossible to follow along, but I feel like you will get a lot more context if you read the first volume prior to this reading experience. Despite that I still enjoyed some of the twists and turns. I will say this is a very fast paced story so it did feel like there was a lot of jumping around for this story.

However the best part of this story is the characters. Rose is fun and relatable, she is always trying to do her best and seems very relatable. I also enjoyed Daniel as he is more of a laid back but strong in his beliefs. I do think that they are a good pairing and even though this is very much the beginning of their story I can't wait to see them grow together.

I think if this is of interest to you then I highly recommend you to go back and read the first volume first and then come back and enjoy this one, as it is a continuation. Personally, I might go check out the original webtoon myself, but if you are looking for a cute feel good romance, this might be for you.

Thank you to NetGalley, Wattpad WEBTOON, and Enjelicious for the opportunity to read an ARC of this title. An honest review was requested but not required.
I enjoyed volume One of Age Matters and really looked forward to volume Two. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was easy to pick volume Two up without re-reading One and that we picked up just where we left off. Rose has been offered a (well-paying!) job as Daniel’s assistant at the social media company Mine. Rose does not realize right away that Daniel is CEO which is pretty typical for these sorts of stories. Rose actually does not realize a lot of things that seem fairly obvious to the reader, LOL.
I liked seeing some more background about Daniel, who has more face time in volume Two than he did previously. The other staff seem nice so far although I see there is some drama forming between Rose and Daniel and Via (as far as I could tell, a model contracted to do PR/feature in advertising for Mine?) and Dylan (not sure what his role was. Another model? A friend of Via’s?).
I liked the art, which is consistent and well-drawn. The story was fine, except that the formatting caused a lot of the sentences to be spliced together in mixed fragments, making it difficult at times to figure out what was being said. Overall though I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the conclusion (or continuation) of the story.

Volume two picks up right where volume one left off. Rose is now Daniel's assistant as she finally realizes that he is the CEO of Mine. She's a little slow. Lol
Daniel is still acting like quite the jerk and being jealous any time Rose seems to spend time with other men. Rose, of course, doesn't notice and encourages Daniel to spend time with a model the company is trying to build a relationship with, Via. It's obvious Daniel is starting to like Rose, but he just doesn't know how to be a normal person about it. Lol We also meet a new guy, a model named Dylan. He says he wants to get to know Rose, but I'm kinda skeptical of what his real intentions are. 🤔
The volume ended on a cliffhanger, so I'm curious to see where the next volume goes.
I really like the art and character design. But I do feel like the formatting was a little off sometimes. But that was probably because I was reading a digital ARC. I hope the next volume is longer, I need more!

I enjoyed reading this and it was a really quick read but I also felt that not much happened. In my opinion, there was more prolonged interaction between the main characters in the first volume than this one and I would have liked some more meaningful interactions between Rose and Daniel. There are a few new characters from Daniel's company that we meet and I do like that there are other guys that are seemingly interested in Rose, or she may be interested in them, since Daniel hasn't made any moves yet. The art is good and I will most likely continue to read this series. I'm aware it usually takes a while for something major to happen in these types of stories but I do hope to see some romantic development in the next volume.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from WEBTOON Unscrolled via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy in exchange for review.

Daniel and Rose continue their "friendship" as Daniel offers Rose to be his personal assistant for is company, blending the reality of their relationship while also drawing a strict line for Rose to avoid office romance. Rose also finds out that Daniel is actually the CEO of Mine, altering her perception of Daniel just a bit. However, as she meets more of Mine's employees and clients, it seems as if Daniel is starting to see Rose past their original partnership.

This second installment is a good continuation of the first. Although I still enjoyed the first volume more, the continuation of their budding relationship kept me engaged along with the addition of several new (and very interesting) characters. 3.5/5 stars rounded up.

The development was fulfilled. I loved how all of them had to face their fears, make hard decisions, take the wrong steps and then finally grow. Our Daniel and Rose really took their relationship down the right path although it wasn't really easy (they messed up themselves, to be honest). Daniel's family drama and betrayal story, Rose's ex, and Dylan's little life crisis. This season really deepened the characters and I'm satisfied for the most part. I will say that the ending makes sense, but I didn't like; not what happened but how it happened. The side stories were a good effort to give all the characters closure, but I still need to know more. And most importantly, MY DYLAN NEVER GOT EVERYTHING HE DESERVES: THE WORLD. However, I have to say I loved this ride and would come back to it time and time again.

It got better, when I don't focus on where the story is going it's a bit more readable. I don't like how she is meant to be older but acts more childish than him, I know people mature at different times but she should have a better handle on her emotions. Also, I swore she figured out who he was last book but figured it out again in this book, that was weird. I believe this is a romance and they are throwing random love interest for her at this point, and I have high hopes for it if nothing else it will be funny. I do not like how much she is taking care of him, though because he has mommy issues and I saw a few of their interaction in a parent-child way and I don't think that makes for a good relationship. Random but his outfit when he was waiting on her to come back was amazing! Boy was dripped for success.

Like with every other Webtoon adapted book, I think digitally this works better in its original format. I can’t speak for the physical copy as I don’t own it but the digital version of this was kind of choppy compared to the webtoon version which allows you to infinitely scroll.

This 2nd volume introduces the plot line of Rose officially working for Daniel at his company Lime. We’re also introduced to characters who feel like they’ll be very important moving forward. I get this is a slow burn romance but I still don’t find myself rooting for the main couple. I like the dynamic they have now but knowing they will eventually end up together doesn’t make me want to stop reading. The art is cute also.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with an arc for review.

Originally on WEBTOON, this follows an almost 30 year old FMC named Rose and 23 year old successful billionaire, Daniel Yoon.

The story is sort of forced proximity. Cinnamon roll girl who’s been hurt and heartbroken doesn’t see her worth. Cole lonely business finds it hard to get close to anyone and rarely goes out or does anything “normal”.

I’m curious how this will ultimately turn into a romance. At the moment, I like the progression of their relationship as employer/employee as well as their blossoming friendship.

I’m enjoying it and almost wanted to read it on WEBTOON before, but never did. Congratulations to Enjelicious on being published!

Enjelicious’s art is beautiful as always! I initially heard of this series from Webtoon and I was immediately captivated by the CEO x secretary trope. There aren’t many instances where I read a story and I am also rooting for the side characters just as much as the main characters— but Ruby!!! She knows how to make an entrance and I can’t wait to learn more about her. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a sucker for fictional blonde boys but what really sucks is THAT CLIFFHANGER!! I need volume three now!

I would like to thank Enjelicious, Webtoon Unscrolled, and Netgalley for this ARC.

Oooh okay Volume Two definitely stepped things up a notch with this storyline! We’re moving more into workplace romance (not that it technically wasn’t before with her having been hired to clean his place and make his food, but still).

🌼workplace romance
🌼billionaire romance
🌼reverse age gap
🌼he’s catching feels first
🌼forced proximity
🌼slowburn

Hmm I’ll work on my list a bit, but these feel very accurate for now! Our MMC is very much starting to catch feelings for dearest Rose (though he doesn’t seem to realize it 🤭). I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how else the storyline will develop for the next volume.

The art for the unscrolled version is also really enjoyable and I’m loving the effects put into it to further give the emotions and POV of the characters. Thank you to the creator and publishers for the chance to read an early copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this manga before it was published.
This particular volume was a little slower than the last one. Though this is a webtoon, I actually haven't read it yet. I love the story so far. Ms. Yoon is oblivious to everything. Mr. Choi obviously likes her and is ignoring his feelings. Last book, there were some cute moments. In this volume they introduced a 2nd male lead and jealousy. I am interested to see what happens next, but this volume was just a bit slow for me.

Daniel hires Rose as his personal assistant with generous salary and 3 stipulations in the contract - one lays out no romantic attachments in the office. So Rose is supposed to keep Daniel focused and fed while figuring out the office politics and aid Daniel and Andrew in patching up ruptured client relationships. Now just who is Daniel focused on, who is Rose focused on, and what doe the mysterious hottie really want from Rose? We will just have to wait until volume three for that to be revealed!

Thanks Netgalley and Wattpad Webtoon Books for the chance to read this volume.

This story is getting super good, Yoon has now hired her to work at his company. While their dynamic has not changed as she keeps taking care of him so he doesn't overwork himself these two seem to be getting closer but Rose seems to be oblivious and keeps putting herself down.

Originally got this through Edelweiss and continued the series on webtoon.

Honestly, it was fine. It's slow in some parts which I ended up just skimming.

The artwork isn't my style, which also contributed to my rating.

I have read this on the webtoon app and I'm happy to see it get a physical copy! I hope that more books get out and I was quite surprised by how short this book is compared to the first one.

The art is beautiful and I look forward to hopefully seeing this series continue :)
