Death Is My Ride or Die

Rate this book
When all hell breaks loose, you might as well join the party.

It’s Halloween and Faith’s entire life has changed. She’s discovered that her soul is light incarnate. That she might be in love with Death himself. And that she’s got these powers she doesn’t quite know what to do with. In fact, Faith’s life over the last few weeks has been rocky to say the least, and it’s not going to slow down . . . there’s nothing like the threat of the world as she knows it ending to kick her into high gear.

Meanwhile, Death is in purgatory . . . where he’s trying to get back to Faith before anything worse can happen to her. With the Book of the Dead empowering Faith, and Death’s nemesis Ahrimad wielding Death’s scythe, it’s more imperative than ever that he finds his way out of this mess.

When the warlock Ace has a vision of a portal to the underworld opening, Faith and Death must work together to stop the demons from coming through–and hopefully save both their lives.

“Even when I tell you to run,” Death said in a hoarse voice, “even when I’m the worst version of myself, you always stay.” He leaned his hand on the pillar beside my head and lowered his forehead slowly to mine. “Nobody ever stays.”

Death is My Ride or Die is the second book in this lovely series, in which we learn more about Death's past and Faith's powers, watch them grow closer together, hang out with The Seven Deadly Sins and a hilarious warlock, and try to stop the bad guys from winning, easy peasy.

I appreciate how much of the book was spent on Death & the Seven training Faith to use her powers, it didn't feel like a sped up training montage, we were there with her every step of the way.

As the book goes on, Faith gets stronger and more confident in her abilities, which really shone during the ending chapters. That's my girl!!

I said before that I relate to Faith a lot, this was proven to me once again with this quote:

"I felt everything so intensely, so fully, and sometimes I couldn’t help but burst into tears."

Faith honey, I'm a huge crybaby too, it's okay. I often hated this part of me, and wished I didn't have to feel things so strongly because I'd often get hurt, so seeing a character struggling with the same thing as me for once, instead of being cool and untouchable is very refreshing.

We even got to see little cracks in Death's shell, progress!! He said something I didn't think we'd hear from him till like, book five, I was so surprised. Near the end though, so you'll have to wait and see.

I feel so bad for him too, because of everything he went through. I'm glad he has Faith to essentially bring him back to life, they're like two peas in a pod. I liveeee for their will-they-won't-they dynamic and their endless banter.

I also loved Death's little jealous episodes whenever Faith and Ace would be alone together, more of that please and thank you.

And Ace is still probably my favourite character, he can truly do no wrong. But wrong was done to him!!!!! Did I like (redacted) as a character? No, they were mean to Faith. But Ace cared about (redacted) so I didn't want to see them end up like that.

There was a lot of character development in this book overall, I'm impressed. Even the side characters felt fleshed out, and I had no trouble telling the Seven apart either.

I found myself getting strangely attached to Malphas this time around, who'd have thought? I need to know where his character is going to go in book three.

Plot wise, SO MUCH happened, it hardly feels like it all went down in the same book, AND YET?? But, it didn't feel heavy at all. I actually hope the next book is even longer and even more happens in it because I can't wait to explore more of this world.

The ending was a, wouldn't you know it, cliffhanger. It felt a lil bit abrupt with how it ended, so I'm currently still on the edge of my seat, wishing there were a few more pages left to be read.

Soooooo Miss Tonks, I'm gonna need Death is My Frenemy out in say...tomorrow? Does that sound good? PLEASE GIVE IT TO ME!

*Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Malphas and Ahriman are creating an army. Death is getting weaker the longer he’s without his scythe and Faith is battling, well, a lot. Is she human? What are these powers she has? Why can she read The Book of the Dead? .. and more importantly.. is she she falling in love with Death himself or does she want to kill him?

“Whatever we were, it was sick, twisted sinful. He was dark and I was light, and wouldn't be foolish enough to let my heart fade into the obscurity of the gray between us.
But now, soon to be fighting side by side, I wondered if, like the madness of our bodies pressed together, we would be a force to be reckoned with.”

Ugh. I feel for Faith. Uprooted from her normal human life, she’s forced to live with reapers and Death incarnate. So many lies and secrets from Death, Faith is frustrated being linked to him. He’s hot and cold. But one things for sure, she wants to help. She wants to hone in on her power and help Death get his scythe back and kill his traitorous father.

This is a heavy paranormal, action packed, angsty, banter filled, romance.

I have followed this author for years on Wattpad, watching her creativity advance over the years with her re-writes on this series. To see her now get a book deal and have this series published, I am filled with joy for her. This series hold a special place in my heart because it got me back into reading as an adult , and having many sleepless nights with newborns.

"I will remind you," Death said in an alluring, velvety voice, "that allowing you to view my wings is equivalent to showing you my ... well, my dick."

The humor is top notch. I laughed so many times. The spice is getting there. So much tension makes for a thrilling ride.

Leaves off on one hell of a cliffhanger!

Somehow I got luckily enough to receive an offer of E-arc and it honestly made my entire day when I opened the email. So thank you again for the arc netgalley/publisher

I had high expectations for this book and it met every single one, plus some I didn’t even know were possible. Frat boy reapers? Taco Bell? Cutesy scenes between my favorites? Yes yes yes. Adult me is enjoying these just as much as teen me loved the originals.

I cannot wait for the next one after that ending. It’s got me in chokehold

So, i finally finished this book and i can say im proud of myself because i didn't thought i would finish it.
You know that moment when a book it makes you wanna scream and shout to the world how annoying is? Well, this book made wanna do it. And i did.

The book started well, but as i started to get to the middle of it, i was so mad at this book that i couldn't even think in good things, everything was black and white. There are so many things about this book that i didn't like and found innecesary.

The first thing and more important about this book that i don't like is FAITH.
This girl was so stubborn all the time! like, not in a good way, she was stubborn in the way that i couldn't stand, she was so annoying and frustrating that at some point made me hate her. I absolutly understand how she feels about Death, but oh my gosh she was all fucking time thinking about him! and shouting to everyone to leave her house or thinking about how hot angels were. give her a fucking life pleasee

David Star. The hottest guy alive and famous that every girl wants and every boy wants to be. Death kill him please
Another person i couldn't stand in this book, he appeard in every single moment in the book for no reason at all, and when he appeard, Faith and him started fighting and throw things that no one cares about. and they have this super cool bound. awesome

and what about her parents and her best friend? NOTHING, they appeard for the first time sometime near the end!
what the hell? her whole life was about david and death and angles and demoms and why her and mr fucking wiggles and memories about her being an annoying six year old girl with death

and what about death? well, i don't really have much to say about him except that he may be the only reason why i still reading this, don't ask me why because he isn't as good as you may think (good character, i mean)

This series is one of my favourites on wattpad even though it's kind of corny and cliche. The writing style flows well and I love the humor. I read it such a long time ago so I have a soft spot for it

Note: I’m much nicer with my ratings for online books that have not been published.

I guess I’m disappointed. Maybe I’m getting older but I don’t remember Faith being this annoying in the older versions of this series. Also I felt like everything was happening so fast compared to the original and rewritten series, like she’s trying to cram things from books 4-5 into this second book, but also I felt like nothing was happening at times? It’s been a long time since I read them on Wattpad though. Something that bugged me is how I don’t even see Faith and Death’s chemistry like I used to. Perhaps I wasn’t paying attention but it seemed like Faith just thinks he’s hot??? But then suddenly they’re in love with each other and can’t live without each other? I used to be obsessed with this couple but now I feel bored and confused. And I kept wondering where all the other characters went? I thought Lucifer would come back towards the end. And I’ve been reading these stories since Kat was writing them as a teen but I feel like her writing still reads very young… and the jokes feel juvenile yet outdated. Idk. I thought the writing would have improved over the last 15 years or so but idk what to expect from a Wattpad book anymore. I’m still gonna read the next book though lol.

the emotions that i felt reading this book was entirely something different, i laughed, my heart felt like it was swelling in my chest with just so much love for these characters. death and faith was a true enemies to lovers cause the banter they had going back and forth but also the tension and moments that they relished into each other was just BEAUTIFUL, i am very sad about the ending of this book 🤧 but fully this book was a 100/10

Can I just say that I love the dedication at the beginning of this book:
“Dedicated to the one I love: me” -Death
In this short and seemingly insignificant dedication, there is a lot that is communicated about Death; from his past and his present self.
There is a part of me that thinks that Death truly means this as his present self but I also know that even if he does, he is just scared to love anyone else again, especially Faith, because of his past self.
Faith and Death’s dynamic, as we know, is Faith loves Death but we are being pushed and pulled in all directions where Death’s feelings are concerned.
I mentioned in my review of book one that there was a lot of betrayal and this book is no different. There are so many angles going on and they never seem to be aligned where Faith and Death have a real chance together; but Faith is a fighter so she doesn’t give up that easily, even when Death is at him most asshole-ish.
On that note, I don’t know if it was Katarina’s intention to try and make me/us hate Death, but despite the many times that it seemed that I might have to finally give in and accept that he really is just an asshole because it was starting to feel beyond toxic and into mental abuse territory and bit physical (just because of him teaching her to fight), I held out hope and was thankfully rewarded. There isn’t a full discussion and a full dive into what they feel, but there was definitely progress.
I was also pleasantly surprised at a person in this series, whose motivations we were made to believe were a definitive truth, were not fully what they seemed. (sorry no spoilers here)
A fun new in-depth addition to the story that I enjoyed was getting to know the Seven Deadly Sins. I am always a sucker for portrayals of these sins, so I liked that they were included in this book.
Now, I have to say (without spoilers) that this ending has me so curious and I want to know what is next! That is of course what a good cliffhanger does, but dammit I need Book 3. I knew this would happen. This series has been a part of my everyday life for basically a month at this point and now I will be left, cold turkey, waiting most likely a year for Book 3, I don’t think I can handle it!
Please Death, if you can hear me, I will trade you a cupcake with extra frosting to have Book 3 come out sooner than a year. I will even add a cherry on top. Please grant my wish!

ARC Review:

I enjoyed the book but it was still lacking that connection with Faith and Death. Every time I was like it’s happening they are finally going to figure it out, one of them backs out and something happens. It’s always the “this can’t happened but you’re mine”. The deadly sins squad is where it was at though!!! Love Romeo and Leo, they are my ride or die for sure. But the banter between Death and Faith has become a favorite of mine and I just love how unserious they are. Death had mad jokes in this book.
Doesn’t release until September……but I need the 3rd book!!!

Oh my goodness wow. Still in shock that the second book is actually out and I just finished it lol. But honestly the wait for this book was so worth it!!!

Sarah: I love how we finally got some plot holes filled in and how we know a little more about her past this time. You really did well with her and she’s my fav character in this book!! What devin did was fucked up and I Lowkey hate him for it but wtv. I’m so happy you explained what the guilds was cuz the Wattpad because before it sounded like a cult ngl. Sarah is so mentally strong and deserves the world she’s the best Aunty/second mom a person could ask for faith is so lucky to have someone like that .I’d love to see what you do with her in book 3 <3

Devin: Wow wow wowww the character change of devin from Wattpad is everything, he’s so mean now lol. But I’m kinda happy for it it’s a reminder that he is made to not not a nice person and you can’t change that not even Sarah. In my mind he’s a terrible partner and need therapy cuz how you about to take Sarah’s fertility because she’s with another man which she’s tried to save? Ughhh it broke my heart but I can’t deny the fact you did a good job. Please give him therapy Sarah deserves better. His relationship with death is so interesting love how he’s the only person that can “ground” death. Now he’s tryna be a father figure to faith sorta?? Idk what’s happening but it’s cool.

Death: We love death very much. Him lying to faith to make her sign a contract by using what she loves almost made me sick but it also reminded me of his dad. We love the flirting and getting under faiths skin lol. Idk what else to right but I did like him in the book very much.

Faith: I love this girl so much omg. I’m so happy to see the fact you didn’t make her to “mature” and how you kept the silliness because at the end of the day Faith is still only 18. And also showing that sometimes she’s a jerk like at the beginning of the book with Marcy. She’s so strong and doesn’t take no for an answer. Faith keep strong in book 3!!

Marcy: omg my 2nd fav character EVERR <3, I’m so happy they’re more of her in the book I was kinda sad she disappeared in Wattpad version. She is so me like I can’t even describe how much I love her. I hope to see her in book 3. Her listering to Faith cry and giving support over guy issues is so real.

Malphs: I love how at the end you show that he can sorta goof off a little bit. Even though he still sucks as a person we can appreciate that. I wanna know what happened in the underworld though!

Ace: oui oui very nice job. Our fav French man is back so happy he’s going with Faith. He also has every reason to be mad at death. I love his character <3

Ahrmid: I def spelt that wrong whoops, villiannn he’s such a good villain omg. He seemed to be a little hurt when Mal called him a nuisance and now I’m wondering if he’s hurt when ppl do that. He’s dead though so whoops to late whoops.

I love focusing on side characters because It’s so fun. like i will build them a character in my head if it isn’t cannon yet lolz! This book is so good I loved it and you need to read it sorry if this has spelling mistakes it’s late and I’m writing a lot. Kat you did great job cannot wait for book 3 and the rewritten series.

I knew what I was getting myself into. I read the OG Wattpad series, I'm following the rewritten series, and I KNEW that ending was coming. But I STILL WAS NOT READY.

Death and Faith remain my comfort characters as I followed them through the sass and threats and innuendos that was Death is My Ride or Die. I want to live in their world always, even when Malphas is being a lil bit—

ANYWAY. It was so good to see Leo and the gang, and to get more Ace time. Kat really excels at creating a range of wide characters with full, well-rounded personalities. There certainly wasn't a single dull moment with any of these guys.

The pacing was fantastic. Having followed this series for so long, watching the progress and evolution of the books, seeing Kat step it up over and over again is such a treat for me. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book. Until then everyone in my life is going to have to deal with my constantly bombarding them to read and reread the first two.

A+ for Kat and A++ for Big Daddy Death because he's a drama queen.

I was a big fan of this series when it was in Wattpad, and I never expected that I’d encounter it again by chance as an adult.

I’m so pleased that I did!

The first book was exceptional, and the second has been almost equally as good. Everything about the book, from the pacing, to the banter, to the twists and turns, kept me gripped from beginning to end.

I’m excited to see where the rest of the series goes, and indeed where this author goes!

I was gifted an ARC in return for an honest review.

Another amazing book in this series! I need book three stat!

This author is amazing at writing super morally grey characters, redemption arcs, and never knowing who you can trust.

I was hooked right from the beginning. There is so much love/hate tension between the two main characters!

I was so thrilled that the FMC finally got some sort of sign from the MMC! Took him long enough. 🤣

You get:
• Dark Romantasy
• Heaven & Hell
• Gods & Demigods
• Don't Trust Anyone
• Secrets & Lies
• Past Trauma
• Light VS Dark

I highly recommend this series! Available on ebook and paperback.

So Goodreads is a bit odd and pulls up this version even for the proper published one. This review is more the new version, ‘Death is my Ride or Die’ which is the second book in the newer versions of this series.

After being thrown back in time to my teenage years with the first book, living that nostalgia of these characters once more jumping into the second book was as easy as breathing.

This series does well being able to balance seriousness and comedy pretty well! Every time I read these books my emotions don’t know if they want to laugh, cry or just give up completely.

The characters are relatable and easy to follow along with.

The plot is amazing, the amount of action without it feeling overwhelming or getting lost mid scene.

The details that this book contains is crazy!

Honestly I’m struggling to write anything because I’m just speechless.
If you haven’t read this series and have any interest I would highly recommend it, it’s a fun, easy series that still is able to carry a serious note.

Now I have the long wait for the next book

I was graciously given the opportunity the read this book via ARC and left me tell you I absolutely consumed it in just two days! I remember the days when I was waiting desperately for an update on Wattpad and now in just a few short months I’ll hold a copy in my hands.

Katarina took an amazing idea and really developed it into a page turner. I love a good enemies to lovers and watch Death slowly open himself up more to Faith felt perfectly paced. The plot never left me bored and I loved seeing things connect at the end and answer any questions I had.

It was a lovely read and I can’t believe I finished it already. I’m so excited to see how the rest of the series plays out and where Death and Faith might end up next.

I really want to like this book… but it’s hard

I finished it. I was constantly wondering what was next… but also, what was happening. There’s plot holes and seemingly unnecessary information— or too much. It was confusing but there was a lot that drew me back. It’s a Wattpad book… for sure. The writing is amateur. I wish the characters were more flushed out, the plot expanded on more, and the information delivery more thought out. As someone who knows very little about the whole Heaven/Hell/7 Deadly Sins Curse, the book was interesting.

Will I read the next one- yes. Could it have been better- also yes.

Still not good but significantly better than Book 1.

It was nice that Death and Faiths relationship progressed a lot quicker than both variations of the Wattpad books and the scenes between them had good tension and romance.

The plot was okay, more happens than in book 1.

The dialogue felt like it was written by a child for children. People don't talk that way, even sarcastic people and it just isn't fun to read.

Hopefully there will be more romance in Book 3. The Wattpad Book 3 was a mess with no plot so hopefully the published version will be more refined!

Just like the first book, we follow the adventures of Faith Williams and Death.
Faith is still pissed at Death for deceiving her, which is understandable. He acted like he cared for her and she's not sure if there was any truth to it. On the other hand, she also betrayed him, so we can see their mutual dislike.
Death, however, takes that to a new level. That scene where he tells her to kneel when she asks for help, it's plain humiliation. You don't do that to someone you love. Which is one of the criticisms I have of Death. He claims to love Faith. And in some moments he does and he shows it, but then he goes and does something awful. I'm honestly not sure how this relationship can progress the way it is now.
Aunt Sarah apparently had an affair with the Devil and now he keeps her in his tower. Do they feel something for each other? Is she a prisioner? I have a lot of questions about it.
Lucifer being so worried that Faith keeps her virginity because it might affect her power is so gross. Women can have sex. Or not. It's a personal choice and no one's business. I hate the trope where virginity, which is a social construct, biologically it just doesn't matter, is related to the purity of power. It's a trope always used just for women and that is based on misogynistic ideals. This is also mentioned when Faith once mentions that "the hymen is the barrier that tears when you loose your virginity". This is mostly false and to be honest, as a biologist, I thought this misinformation was mostly gone by now. The hymen can tear from many different causes. Also, you may have sex and the hymen may not rip. Like I stated, virginity is purely a social construct with no medical or biological legitimacy.
Some parts, especially in dialogue can be quite cringey and fanfic like, though that makes sense considering this used to be a fanfic, I just think it could be more polished.
Sometimes during very tense and serious moments, the characters just say something random to try to be funny, but it doesn't work. Serious fight scenes are meant to be serious, not comedic.
Ace is objectively the best character. He keeps up the stakes and he ends up being one of the only rational characters in this book. I like him a lot.
Malphas is not as bad as he seems... I'm interested in seeing where this character goes.
The ending is promissor. They're both journeing through the Unknown, which will certainly make the next book very tense, while allowing us to further explore the fantasy elements of this series.
Two: torture, death, alcohol, mentions of sex.

4.5 ⭐️

This is just as good as I remembered it. I really enjoyed that we got more of everything in this book, more of Death and Faith, more of the side characters, more of the villains. Death and Faith’s relationship read a lot better in this book than the first, I felt as though we got a lot more scenes of them together and they really stuck true to their original characterisation from the wattpad series whereas the first book felt it dimmed down their personalities a little. More Maplhas in this book! I loved this as I felt he was missing from the first book, we finally get to see him as an antagonist but also his dynamic with Death. The seven were also a big miss from the first book, I forget if they all appeared in the wattpad first book but I know Leo definitely did and was cut from the published version, they were definitely needed to the story and I’m glad we finally got to see them, although I felt Leo has a much lesser role in this version.

There was some changes to the published version, I felt as though this book still suffers a little from the necessity of cutting it down. For example Thomas’ change in the original was different and we saw him interacting with Malphas as a demon, in this version he is changed and then nothing more is mentioned of it. This felt like a bit of a plot hole and this storyline should’ve been either more developed like the wattpad version or cut completely. Devin is also a bit more of a bad guy in this one, which I don’t mind at all I just wish we got to see more interactions of him and Death like the original.

Overall, this was such a fun read and really felt so nostalgic to me. I have so much love for all the characters and they are what gives this story so much heart, specifically Faith, Death and Ace, and Katarina really shines at characterisation and making sure each one stands on their own and doesn’t blend with one another. I can’t wait for the next book as it’s one of my favourites in the series and I’m still keeping up with the unfinished version on wattpad, I can’t wait to see where the story goes in the finished version!

I devoured this book. I thought it was going to take me longer to finish but I devoured this in three days.

I’m loving this story and I don’t want it to end actually.

Faith and Death are so irritating yet I love them. Like you could just tell Death was so obsessed with her but he kept pushing her away and I was just waiting for him to accept her feelings he was so irritating but at the same time I love it because it kept the tension going for the whole book. I do love the tension more than when the characters actually get together. Something about the pining for each other or not wanting to give in that just gets me.

This story is so full of humor, I was cackling all throughout the book from beginning to end. I love Faith’s goofy, awkward personality. And Death matched her humor with his goofy yet confident one. I loved the lightheartedness from them during all this stress over Ahrimad and Malphas.

The seven deadly sins are also a favorite. I loved their dynamic with Faith acting like her older brothers but low key being her and Death’s bunch of lovable brats. I want to see more of them for sure.

Malphas actually turning out to be protecting his son got me. I really thought he was gonna just be a regular evil dude but no, Malphas cares and actually has feelings like *sheds tear* we’re getting the family back to together.

I love Ace. That’s it. No need to explain.

This is such a fun book and so easy to enjoy if you ask me. There’s action, there’s fun, there’s silliness and cute little love story blooming.

Definitely reading the next one because I need to see this relationship bloom and I gotta see Death’s growth because I know there’s more to come and I’m excited.

Ok, first of all, I got this book on the 17th of last month and I just got around to reading it now because life got in the way. I devoured this book in a day and a half during my "work weekend". I don't even know where to start oh my gosh give me a minute!! Second of all, I love how we go from strolling through the genre (in the first book) to in this book fully plummeting into it. This book is obviously a paranormal romance but I personally loved all the fantasy elements that were sprinkled on top like "The Chosen One," "magical book," and "warrior training" tropes. I've read and watched a lot of things where the mixture of these traits within a modern setting can make me feel like I'm walking through the race car bed aisle at Toys R Us. In opposition to that, I found this story particularly to blend so seamlessly that I was halfway through the book forgetting that the protagonist was a high school student. I was seeing her as a fully-fledged component of the world she entered fairly recently. I was pulled in by all the contradictory motivations of these characters and the tsunamis of experiences they've had that you can see influencing their decisions and their behaviors. I think this book was better than the first one because the story has grown so much richer and you can see all the carefully placed building blocks of this story as the protagonist shoves her nose in all the layers and tears them back to find the truth. In anticipation of the explosion of lore that I KNOW is coming, this is my plea to the book gods that this series can expand beyond a trilogy. Thank you, good night.

💭 Summary 💭 Faith is back home but Death is trapped in Limbo/Purgatory without his scythe by Malphas. Faith can read The Book of the Dead and all the evil forces are after her. She has to learn about her emerging powers while her and Death continue fighting each other.

Heroine: Faith Williams-spared by Death 10 years ago marking her soul to him.

Side cast:

✓Malphas-Death's father

My Thoughts: Another good installation from Tonks. I felt the push/pull of Faith and Death's relationship. He treated her badly but kept thinking "touch her and die." They were forced to work together to stop the "big bad" from creating an army and save the mortal realm.

good second book

So I love this author. I’ve been a huge fan since Wattpad circa 2014. She’s amazing and what she’s created with Death and Faith’s characters is some of the best character writing I have seen and I have read A LOT of fantasy romance.

this book was not as great as the first one. It started off great but by the time it got to “ SPOILER “

the mausoleum it got a little convoluted. It was hard to follow. Faith’s character at one point turned into an annoying 12 year old girl spewing random stuff even the other characters were annoyed lol.

the ending was OK. Death’s character got a little chummy and felt a little out of character by the end of the book but I understand it was about time he had some sort of character development- especially towards Faith.

I did love the more steamy moments with them BUT I think the author needs to decide if this is a YA book or a Spicy book. It feels like she still hasn’t decided and so the character’s personalities don’t settle right.

I have read the Wattpad books and I just have 1 hope- that the third book isn’t all in the unknown world or where she falls into the world with VD (if you know you know) cuz that was a little too much. again hard to follow and I didn’t care too much for that alter ego character of death.

Anyway these are just my OPINIONS. I’m not an editor and this is not professional opinions. Just a girl who loves this story line and is providing her feedback for the author.

But great job all in all. I love this story.

Death is my ride or die is the second book in the Death Chronicles series. I have read multiple versions of this book, that being the first published draft on Wattpad (about 10 years ago), then the rewritten version, then a BETA version, and then I was privileged enough to receive an ARC of the book.

For those who first read Kat's second installment of the series on Wattpad: This version is COMPLETELY different in all the BEST ways. Being someone that read these books about 8 times (including rereads), I wasn't prepared for some of the twists and turns. There is SO much character development and the plot is airtight. I promise, purchasing and reading this book IS WORTH it.

For those who are looking for a new book: PLEASE read Death is My BFF first. And for those looking for book two, you found it! You ought to get it. The writing is funny, emotional, and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Faith and Death are such relatable MC's and are completely extraordinary. I don't want to put any quotes because I firmly believe everyone should experience it all for the first time.

One thing I can say, Death was PISSED (picking up where we left off in BIMBFF cliffhanger), and it made it all so much juicier. The interactions between Death, Faith, and Ace are top tier and beyond what I could have imagined. Each chapter (be it action packed, or _action packed ;)_) was riveting.

Do yourself the favour: for some fantasy, comedy and romance. And ESPECIALLY mismatched green eyes and a cupcake addiction: GIVE DIMROD a read. You won't regret it!
