Same Soul: The Astrology of Sequential Reincarnation, Volume 2
In this book, evolutionary astrologer Michael De Baker looks at the charts of six people whose connection to a past-life self was investigated and published in book form.
Chapter one looks at the astrology of the sequential reincarnation case of WW II fighter pilot James M. Huston Jr. and his current-life counterpart James Leininger, chronicled in Andrea and Bruce Leininger’s Soul The Reincarnation of a World War II Fighter Pilot.
In chapter two we are treated to the chart of Christian Haupt, the little boy who had such vivid nightmares of a life as “a tall baseball player” and who produced verifiable facts he could not possibly have gotten access to other than via past-life memory.
De Baker shows how the south node of the Moon and the south node ruler in Christian’s chart exactly coincide with the events as they transpired in the life of US 1930s baseball icon Leo Gehrig. Since this, just like the Huston-Leininger one, is such an ironclad reincarnation case – well-documented in Cathy Byrd’s book The Boy Who Knew Too Much - the watertight astrological correspondences produced by De Baker do much to make evolutionary astrology credible.
The third chapter features the story of Jack Philips, the RMS Titanic ’s Senior Wireless Officer, who, along with 1.500 passengers, perished in the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean that fateful night in April of 1912. The chart of Paul Amirault – author of The Man Who Sent the SOS – is used to show how, once more, the south node of the Moon and the south node ruler point straight back to that other life, the life of Jack Phillips.
In chapter 4 , past-life skeptic and retired Indianapolis police detective Robert L. Snow’s biggest case ever - the quest for his own elusive past life as the 19th century’s Romantic painter Carroll Beckwith as recounted in his book Portrait of a Past-Life The True Story of a Police Detective’s Reincarnation - is followed via De Baker’s thorough investigation of the detective’s south node plus south node ruler. Again, as in the previous two chapters, the south node of the Moon and its ruler in the chart belonging to the later life (R. Snow) exactly coincides with the events belonging to the earlier life (C. Gordon (who fought on the Confederate side in the American Civil War) as seen through the eyes of his current-life counterpart Jeffrey Keene (Retired Assistant Chief of the Westport, Connecticut Fire Department) and documented in his fascinating book Fire in the Reincarnation from Antietam to Ground Zero .
Chapter 6 brings us the story of how French journalist Stéphane Allix one day comes face to face with his past-life counterpart, an SS officer by the name of Alexander Herrmann, the arduous quest for whom is chronicled in Allix’s riveting book When I Was Someone The Incredible True Story of Past Life Connection . Here too, the astrology in the chart belonging to the later life (Stéphane Allix) closely matches the earlier life (Alexander Herrmann).
Chapter 7 , finally, adds the bonus of EA composite and synastry analysis as the author seeks an answer to why the souls that created the lives of Lou Gehrig and his mother Christine Gehrig chose to continue walking their evolutionary path together in the next life as Christian Haupt and his mother Cathy Byrd .
