Teren Adams was everything Emma had ever wanted in a man—kind, caring, loyal, loving, and on occasion, a hopeless romantic. True, he was also a “little bit” vampire, and had recently joined the ranks of the undead, but to Emma, that wasn’t important. She was his, he was hers, and she couldn’t wait to be his wife, have his children, and stay by his side for as long as her mortal life would allow her to. At least…that was the plan.

Over halfway done . . .

I dunno, kinda boring so far (like book 1). I'm not surprised by the main twist at all, just like I wasn't surprised by the revelations from book 1. I'm mostly skimming at this point, making sure to read the dialogue though. This series hasn't made me invested in the characters at all. It's like I'm curious about what happens, but I'm not dying to know.

Okay, done . . .

I dunno still

While technically a good book, it's just disappointing to not love the hero. While there are interesting parts, you have to get through the not-so-interesting parts. I recommend it, but not as a must-read. I will definitely finish the series by reading the third book and maybe the spinoff.

Best parts about the book: Clarice, the hag of a boss and Halina, the hot great-granny vampire.

I think the problem is that I've read her Thoughtless series and that one is awesome. I was so excited that I got this series before it became temporarily unavailable, but I really could have waited to read it.

Another winner by S.C. Stephens! Continuing on from her first vampire-love story, Stephens takes us on a roller-coaster ride of suspense and, of course, her trademark gut wrenching emotions. Her portrayal of Emma and Teren remains true to the first book of the series but adds even more layers and depth to the characters. Be prepared for great read full of surprises, twists and turns!

This was so much better than the first book. I just LOVE S.C. Stephens's incredible style of writing. Even though the begining was nicely written, it was slightly sluggish here and there. But later on, I could not put the book down. It was exciting reading and plenty of new information about vampire mythology were revealed. But I don't want to spoil the story for you, so I will just recommend you to read it yourself. If you liked first book Conversion, you will like this one even more.

I really like Emma as character. She is very natural, never annoying, just normal girl with abnormal life and dreamy man by her side. The whole story started in ideal way - the love, the marriage, the pregnancy. But life is never ideal so in Bloodlines, Teren and Emma were confronted with various problems and difficultes. The Teren's and his family's love for Emma and their willingness to sacrifice for her was wonderfull. And the bond between Teren and Emma was so likable to read about.

I really enjoyed this story and I would recommend you to do not hesitate and read this series!

Another five star read from S.C. Stephens! This chick is on a roll! Bloodlines is a little twilight-ish but fan-f*ing-tabulous! I love it, the book, the characters, the fact that Edward & Bella, I mean Teren & Emma are grown ups! For some reason I can't get enough of the urban fantasy/ paranormal romance genre, but I can however get enough of teenagers. When every book starts out with the main character walking down the halls of her new school (insert the rest here), it's hard for me to relate. I still like them, and will read them, but adult drama is so much more interesting.

******************************spoilers*********************************
Emma is pregnant with twins, the happily married couple is enjoying their new life together. While out one night, they meet another vampire. He seems nice enough, even though he treats Emma, and Hot Ben like cattle, and agrees to find his 'dinner' in another town. Right up until he rips Emma's throat out. Teren, unable to fathom losing his wife, and children, gives Emma his blood to keep her alive. She then wakes up several days later to discover she is now a 'mixed'. With her twenty-sixth birthday coming up, they know the conversion is around the corner, but also know that if her human half dies, their twins won't survive. Teren starts invading every vampire nest he can find, attempting to locate the other halfies in hopes they will have the answers. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Only two small complaints, it's nothing really... I just wish Stephens had a better name for the half human, half vampires other than the 'mixed', I don't know why that annoys me but it does. Second, I hate the way she describes her sister. I understand you have to convince the reader of how horribly scarred she is, but not every single time you talk about her. I guess, if she were my loved one I would eventually look past that, as I would assume Emma does, but I can't because of how often she mentions it. Ok, told you they were nothing, definitely not anything to keep me from reading the third book in the Conversion series NOW. :)

Judging by the cover and the title, one would think, "I already know what this book is about." Readers everywhere, do not judge because my assumption was way off. S.C. Stephens' Bloodlines will take you on twist and turns.

I love this book as much as I love the first book, Conversion. The romance and passion between Teren and Emma is still simply beautiful. But fate had a way of deciding their future for them though. So for me, this turn of event, consumed my thoughts daily. I just wanted to keep reading every chance I got. You know the "I must know now" feeling. Yeah... so I'm going to leave it at that so I don't spoiled your reading.

I was glad to see the friendship between Teren and Hot Ben in Bloodlines. It was a bit shaky at first but I'm glad they worked it out. Teren deserves to have a close friend. Someone who will remember him and not be wiped of their memory of him.

For me, I feel like Teren is growing into the man that he wants to be in this book. The women in his life can no longer make decisions for him or convince him otherwise. He has a voice and he stands his ground and I applaud him for that.

Emma, is not as naïve as she was in the first book either. I love that she's open to ideas and is willing to give them a try. She although is pregnant and emotional is no push over. As much crap as Halina gives her, she gives it right back.

Being that I'm not a fan of paranormal/vampire reads, I'm absolutely in love with this series. S.C. Stephens did a fantastic job writing this book. I feel like she researched all things vampire so that she can deliver the answers to my many questions I had through out this book. (Thank you S.C.)

I can't wait till the third book comes out!

I dislike the way Ashley is often described or referred to as the "scarred woman" or pointed out for having them. Shouldn't Emma just be describing her as any regular person would describe their sibling whom they loved as dearly as Emma does, rarely mentioning or trying to rehash the past? Yes, she met with a terrible accident but if you love someone, you don't mention their shortcomings every time you're talking about them. It's understandable that towards the beginning it was necessary so that the reader gets an idea as to what Ashley probably looks like & can have a clearer picture of her in their head. But after sometime it just seems and feels rude. Hurtful even. If you had a sibling who was challenged in some way & you love them no matter what, would you be mentioning their problem almost every time you were describing something about him/her to your friend who already knows of said problem?
As for the book, definitely better than the final instalment of The Twilight Saga. Especially the birth scene. Thank God for that.

Bloodlines is Brilliant! Fabulous continuation of a fabulous love story. I am so over Bella and Edward... Emma and Teran all the way BABY!!! Emma and Teren's love story is one you should not miss out on!! I couldn't put this book down except when I had to and then had to live with a book hangover for a week.

S.C. Stephens is one of my most favourite authors and I'll tell you why. Ms. Stephens books have incredible flow, they're endearing, mildly angsty, very funny and sexy without being too graphic. They are also filled to the brim with incredible characters that I have fallen in love with! This is exactly why Bloodlines is one of my most favourite books. The Adams family *LOL* is amazing, each character will draw you in for a different reason! I loved this family in Conversion but Bloodlines solidified why I loved them all so much.

Really, I'm not sure how to express just how much I love this book or this series. The story will grab you and the characters will captivate your heart. Twilight was a great love story for teens but Conversion and Bloodlines are love stories for grownups! Thank you for another INCREDIBLE read S.C. Stephens!

Thrilling, sexy and absolutely UNFORGETTABLE! Adults needed an epic vampire love story and here it is!

Bloodlines(Conversion, #2, starts right where book 1 ended. At the beginning Teren and Emma are getting ready for their wedding, and now that they are having twins, they want to get married asap, so their children carry their father's name.

This book was so good, I enjoyed it even more than the first one, if that is possible! This book is filled with love and laughter between Teren and Emma, and Teren's whole family; mom, dad, grandmother and great grandmother, and the love between Emma's mom and sister and herself, so even though things have been a little bit crazy, there is no doubt they all love each other and the new babies on the way are so much anticipated it is almost funny. Teren has expressed this so well in the following quote, "What he was really saying was that he would literally mourn me, miss me, and love me…for eternity. That he would never move on from me, would never marry another. I would always be his wife, no matter how many hundreds of years we were apart." The drawback being Emma is human, and will grow old and die.

Another good thing that happens to them: Hot Ben, although human has become Teren's friend forever and accepted him as he is, and does alot in the first book. and this one to protect Teren and his family. This makes Teren so happy as he has never had a friend like Ben, one that is there for him no matter what!

This book was so well written, and there is never a dull moment, and as the book progresses, the plot twists and turns and the angst it causes is off the charts as well as the danger.

Something happens to cause the whole world of this family to change and you will have to read it to find out what happened. I could not believe it and was so shook up from it that I was actually crying while I was reading it.

Another thing I loved about these books so far is that S C Stephens puts a different twist on her vampire series, and it is awesome and makes these books so distinctive. These are the kind of books you buy in paperback, so you can put them on your "best loved" bookshelf. She portrays this as a loving family of vampires, who choose not to feed off of humans, but yet the story has the other side of the coin represented just as well, all vampires are not goo, do not have any principles and care only about where their next meal is coming from, no matter how they have to get it or who they destroy.

This book ends in a positive way, and I can't wait to read the third and last book of the series, Til Death.
Step into the world of S C Stephens and her vampire series, you will be so glad you did!

I gave this book a 5*****Star rating. Thank you S C Stephens for writing such a wonderful series, but I did not expect anything less- after all she gave us all a massive book hangover when she gave us Kellan Kyle!!!

I've had this series on my kindle forever. I can't even remember how long I've had it sitting on my kindle but it's been well over a year and possibly a couple of years. I got a copy from feedbooks.com when they were available for free. After I was about 50% through the book I started noticing that there were some things that I thought needed to be edited in the book so I went online to Amazon where I purchase most of my books and noticed it isn't available yet. This left me confused and I went to feedbooks where the author has sense taken down these copies down in exchange for sample copies that were about 45 pages long. Knowing that this copy is probably not fully edited and seeing S.C. Stephens herself confirm that the final copy for sale in stores will have some minor differences in details left me unsure if I should review this book. She says the main story will stay the same. I feel it would be unfair to review the book on the details that bugged me so I won't as they may change. I will say that the overall storyline was a 4.5 stars for me. When the fully edited version is available I will purchase it on kindle and write a full review but until then I don't know what will make the final cut. At this time I'm going to stick with the 5 star rating and I will need a reread before reading book 3 anyway so I'm excited to see what will happen to Teren and Emma in the future of the series as well as the detail changes in this book as well. I really hope something will happen with Hot Ben and Ashley as Tracy is a stale character for me(keeping my fingers crossed.)I don't foresee her being able to continue in the series for much longer. You can't go wrong with this series if you are a vampire lover!

Bloodlines is the second book in the S.C. Stephens "Conversion trilogy. Conversion (#1), the reader meets the two main characters; Emma, a bored with the mundane routine of her life assistant of an assistant in an accounting office, and Teren, a handsome writer for a magazine on lifestyles in San Francisco and a "little bit" Vampire.
Now, with "Bloodlines"(#2), Emma and Terren are starting a life together awaiting the birth of their twins. Teren is now a vampire who only drinks blood, but can be out in the sun. Marriage can be hard for even a little bit vampire and a human together and we the reader get involved in Teren and Emma's daily life, trying to make this unusual relationship work. An encounter leads to tragedy and saving a life could end a life and more.
I loved Bloodlines and was addicted to the book from beginning till the end and could not put the book down. A lot of raw emotions with this book, you'll cry, laugh, happiness, suspense, thrill, anger, and cry again. Five stars and I highly recomend this book. I do believe this was to be the end of the story, but the author decided to continue Teren and Emma's story in "Til Death".

These are such good novels. The first book was good... but the storyline in this one was incredible. For some reason, I always feel something tragic ... something Romeo-and-Juliet-y is going to happen in these books. I am always so satisfied in what happens in the end.

It was a close run thing whether I would get through the book before my Kindle battery died. (I won, BTW!) I can't wait to read Book #3, but am sad to think it's the last in the series. (Already downloaded it though!)

“Oh my god, I growled at you?”

He smirked and leaned in for my neck. "I know, it was hot."
S.C. Stephens has once again amazed me by her magnificent writing and loveable characters. I may have thought that the first book was kind of dragging and slow, but this second book was perfectly written. It wasn’t stagnant for so long and the fast-paced storytelling totally fits the story.

 photo sensual8_zps742d8366.jpg

Well, countless unbelievable things have happened in this book. Considering this is a paranormal story, I guess you’d have to expect that. Anyways, because of a certain unfortunate event, Emma became a vampire and her attachment to Teren became stronger than before, mainly because she’s his child and he would be her Sire, if we’re talking about vampire conversion and creation. But that’s definitely weird since they’re husband and wife. Ha! If previously they can’t help but drown in their own love and passion, well, right now, they can seriously make you squirm in your seat because their “bond” has made them more intimate than ever and their reunion after a long day from work or being just separated for a few hours will make you enjoy a clothes-ripping show right in front of people. ;)

We have enjoyed ourselves in reading a contained story of Emma and Teren and their family and friends. I absolutely love how Hot Ben has finally fought his fears and supported Emma and Teren all throughout even if it has hampered his relationship with Tracey before it all started. Bloodlines has given us more characters to ponder upon and an in-depth explanation of being a mixed vampire by meeting another mixed of themselves. I honestly like the creativity of the plot, the author made it complicated yet incredibly simple.

So if you like some sweet-loving and romantic vampire story, this might be the one for you. It’ll surely entertain you more than you know.

FIVE STARS.

I LOVE IT!!

I love the Conversion series so far. Bloodlines bk2 starts off were bk1 left off with Emma Taylor discovering that she was pregnant with twins, by her vampire boyfriend Teren Adams. This couple seems to do everything backwards now they are planning the wedding. well the vampire great great grandmother Halina, grandmother Imogen and mother Alanna are actually doing all the planning. All Emma and Teren have to is be there. There is more story with Ashley, Emma's disfigured sister and Terens friend "Hot Ben's" character. They have grown and developed in bk2. Ben is no longer a wimp an no longer afraid of his friend Teren now that he knows who and what he is.

Bk2 really evolves and we meet a whole host of new vampire characters Gabriel, Starla, Jordan Jacen and Samuel to name a few. After Emma is fatally attacked by a vampire Teren has to change her immediately to save her an there twins lives. When Emma awake she is part vampire an so far the babies are ok, but will Emma transform and meet her final death before she can deliver the twins. Will she really die? or will she convert to 100% vampire? what will happen to the babies? No one know because his grandmothers and mother have not experience this before. Teren and Ben go on the hunt for other mixed vampires who might have the answers and they finally meet a whole nest of very interesting vampire Gabriel who is 611yrs old and those he has sired the mixed vampires. This is a very well developed Vampire romance story. Teren and Emma's love story grows. The story is fast paced the characters are richly developed and the new twist on vampires is a bit different. I really enjoyed this book and the storyline line is getting better with each book. Off to start bk 3 The Death!!

I didn't enjoy Conversion very much, but Bloodlines made me remember every reason why I LOVE S.C. Stephens! This book completely had me enraptured! I'm not joking when I say, while I read this novel I literally couldn't put it down! Bloodlines was in the back of my mind every second I wasn't reading, and I found myself picking it up even it was to read a single page!

Bloodlines was romantic, SEXY, and had non-stop suspense. I had butterflies throughout the whole book!

The last book left me unsatisfied when it came to the steamy scenes, but this book tied it all together. I feel like I saw a whole new side to Teren and Emma and how deep their relationship runs.

Despite the romance, the book itself was bottom line EPIC! I really enjoy S.C. Stephen's version of vampires, and this book was completely unique and it kept me completely engrossed.'

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!

I have loved nearly all of S.C. Stephens' book series. I first read her other series (Thoughtless, Effortless, and Reckless) in 2014 and from there I was lucky enough to find these books. I will say that I did not read the book following 'Til Death, as I could not relate to or vibe with the characters (written from Teren & Emma's children's perspectives) as much as I did Teren and Emma's. However, I revisit these books at least once a year and I enjoy them just as much as when I first read them.

The way S.C. Stephens writes with humor and the flowing conversation makes it really difficult to put the book(s) down. Each character has a unique quirk about them that just makes them so easy to love. I have yet to find a book/book series that I love as much as the Conversion and Thoughtless Series.

Call me a sucker (no pun intended) for romance! I absolutely loved the passion these two oozed. When they couldn't hold it as he arrived to the ranch--loved it! It was tastefully done. I enjoyed pretty much the whole book. And Hot Ben totally surprised me!! Lots of serious adrenaline moments as well as moments of giggles...
While reading this part,
"it is entirely possible that some humans in this world are descendants of mixed vampires, and they just don’t know it.”
I frowned as I thought of that possibility. “Descendents…that sure would explain some of the nearly impossible things some athletes can do."
I couldn't help but think of Michael Phelps--I knew there was an explanation for his super-ness!

A little slow / repetitive in places, and in the second half I felt Emma was a bit of a passenger in her own story - some Teren POV might have kept the pace up & the frustration level down!

But I still love Teren & Emma - one of the sweetest, most functional, most loving couples I have read. And the 'connection' in this book just made there relationship even more HOT!

Will definitely read the 3rd installment - for more metrosexual vampire hotness

(But I hear its a little slow / recap-y to start so I am going to keep it for a later date)

Amazing book! I love this series and am looking forward to the third book "Til Death" coming out soon!
The love between Teren and Emmas is amazing and beautiful!. A match perfect for one another.

I absolutely LOVED his Great Grandmother. I wasn't too crazy about her in the beginning, but as the series went along, I learned to love her and her fierce love for her family and the humorous side of her.

It was wonderful how Teren and Emma's families accepted each other for who they are and what they are.

There was a lot of humorous situations in the book and also a lot of tender loving moments. All in all, I loved the story and would definitely recommend it for anyone who loves Vampire stories!
