Have you ever needed something so bad you can’t sleep at night…
Zemira Stewart is a twenty-seven-year-old entrepreneur. She owns Elegant Spa, and from the outside most people believe her life is perfect. And why wouldn’t they? Her mother is a famous singer and her father is a successful music producer. What people don’t know is that she grew up lonely with numerous nannies playing the role her parents should have. Their absence left her fantasizing about an unconditional love. She always longed for it but never received it.
Well, until she met Jason “Dink” Wilkins, an inmate at a Virginia federal prison. The couple instantly falls in love and gets married while Dink is still an inmate. When he’s released, Zemira quickly realizes he isn’t who he claims to be, and what starts as the perfect romance soon turns into a nightmare. Dink’s actions threaten to push Zemira into the arms of another man. But does this stranger have her best interest at heart?
When forced to make a decision, will Zemira choose to save her marriage or take her chances with the other man? Will Dink let her go? Or will he start a street war that causes bloodshed throughout Annapolis? Have U Ever is an urban romance novella that asks the question, what are you willing to do for love?
Wheww! I truly don’t have enough words for this book but I can 100% say I didn’t expect so many plot twists, secrets, toxicity, and so many laugh out loud moments. Natavia did a great job with the story. Although, there was so much going on, the story flowed well. I was rooting for Sung and Zemira from their first encounter! The chemistry was everything and clearly shown on page. Dink and Lanna were both villains and I could sense the jealousy coming a mile away. I was waiting for both to sleep permanently.. 😡I highly recommend this one! 👏🏾
ZeMira… ZeMira… ZeMira! My girl had a lot going on, and I do mean A LOT‼️ Dink had to be the dumbest criminal in the WORLD! At first, he had me fooled. But upon his release and his 1st day out, I already knew he was about to start his ghetto shenanigans. Sung proved to be the better pick for Zemira, but I thought he was done with my girl at one point. His character was unlike any other male Natavia has written about. Sung was patient and unproblematic until he felt the need to circle back to his old ways lol Dink seemed to be the one who brought that side out of him. What I didn’t expect was for Lanna to be so… jealous, calculating and vindictive. She played that frENEMY role to the “t” and she got everything she deserved. EVERYTHING!! I thoroughly loved Jexi’s character and how she was down for ZeMira no matter what. She smelled Lanna’s vibe a mile away. And when it came to Connor, it was up! Lol Her happy ending was well deserved.
Overall… this book was a breath of fresh air. Natavia supplied just enough drama, lies, betrayal, jealousy, chemistry and humor within each page. And when it came to the pace and buildup, let’s just say this book is definitely one you’ll read in one sitting.
The one thing I can expect her to do is bring it. And boy did she not disappoint with this one. The car scene with the edible had me hollering. Sung was that man I said what I said. That plot twist was bananas! I was thinking it but then I was like naw that couldn’t be it! Outstanding
Mira got the ending that she needed. I can't believe Lanna and Dink went through all that and still lost at the end. This is why you can't trust people now and days. Jexi was always a true friend from the beginning because she was trying to tell Mira, but I guess she had to see for herself. Sung is BAE, and he handled business with no questions asked.
Babyyyyyyyyyyy my girl Zemira need to choose her friends wisely cus Chileeee . I’m glad she started putting the pieces together and was realizing Dink wasn’t wrap to tight in the head. Jaxi was Zemira real friend through thick and thin they had each other’s back . With friends like Lanna who need enemies . Sung and Zemira I love them . I’m glad they got it together
Star level: 4.5 Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️Tropes: strangers to lovers & cheating. Loook this book was GOOD!! But it put me through it!!! Zemira had a screaming at my kindle a few dozen times she was dumb dumb at times. When Jexi told her to watch love after lockup because I knew it the moment Dink got out what he was going to be one and he thought he was slicker than snot. I was team Jexi and Conner with them not feeling Dink something was just off with him and the way he would act at time and I’m glad they always had Zemira back. Now the chemistry between Sung and Zemira was 10/10 you could feeling the moment they met and it was like they were a magnetic. I’m glad they got through all their speed bumps even though most were cause by Zemira. I’m glad Sung has a forgiving heart you can tell he was really smitten by her no matter how hard he tried to act. Oh the Lanna got everything she deserved! I knew she was a no good, backstabbing, hated “friend” the way she moved and talked to her “friends” they should’ve dropped her a long time ago. If you see this book read it! It has so many twist and turns, some nice spice and a little funny. I just wish the book had actual chapters because I kept saying after this chapter I’m going to put this book down but I kept going and going. And I also with that we got Sung POV but I still enjoyed this book form this author
I’m giving Have You Ever by Natavia a loud, STRESSFUL 5⭐️ because what was going ON?! 😩
Zemira… I love you sis but you was testing me. Everything was right in front of you but it took so long for it to click. I was STRESSED!
Dink- TRIFLING ASF. Every time I tried to give him a chance he did something worse. Manipulation, lies, audacity… pick a struggle sir 😒 He pissed me off so bad
And LANNA?? BABY she is DELUSIONAL. Setting her own friend up then expecting loyalty?? Girl you don’t want a friend, you want a victim 🤦🏽♀️ baby thought she was that girl HA!
Shoutout to Sung for being real and Conner for the laughs because the drama was HEAVY 😂
That confrontation scene?? ELITE. When everything came out I was like 👀 “yeah let’s tell it ALL.”
Messy, dramatic, stressful… and I couldn’t put it down.
If you like yelling at characters and questioning everybody’s sanity this is for YOU 😌 Stop sleeping on @author_natavia_ because she ain’t playing no games #readwithchan #bookworm #booksbooksbooks #bookrecs #bookish
I love me some Ms Natavia. When I read her books I know I’m going to get a drama filled, fun and sexy hood romance with a curvy lead who can take on the world and win!
Zemira is curvy 20something beauty who runs her own business and is killing it! She meets and marries a man who is in prison and has been in prison since he was 18 years old. (He’s 28 now)
The week before he is released, she meets Sung, a 24 year old jeweler and entrepreneur and starts to think that maybe she may have moved to soon…
This book is fast paced a lot happens in a really short space of time…
I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was a great hood romance. I laughed, I cringed, I was left hot and bothered and it gave me all the feels…
The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because I felt like I needed more…
This book is terrible. The heroine is dumb like why would you marry a man you never met irl and he is in jail and fell in love over some trash ass letters? Like tf. And did it seem like she cheated on the jail nigga because she said that she was sleeping around with other dudes before she got married while he was in jail so i’m confused about that and she lusting after the hero and she acting like she love the jail nigga. she literally said he robbed a bank and claims to trust him. do she not realize that he could be after her money!! bruh she was just alone and felt like she wanted to talk with someone because her daddy always gone and her mother is dead so she was just a lonely woman who wanted companionship and fell in love with the idea of the nigga and look where it got her 🙄 and the hero and her love don’t seem that true to me, more like lust as well.
This was my first read by this author and it definitely didn’t disappoint! Even though the characters were on the younger side, they moved with a level of maturity I appreciated. I love when a story shows how childhood trauma truly impacts your adult life. Mira had so many unmet needs growing up, and you could really see how that made her cling to anyone who made her feel wanted. The author’s writing style is vivid, to say the least! I could see every description perfectly... for better or worse. Lol! 1. Green discharge from Dink? Ew. 2. That "after-sex" stank? Double ew. I literally had a mental image of Dink in his sagging boxers and Lanna walking around patting her weave like she was in Next Friday. Jexi was a total ride-or-die, and Connor stayed keeping me laughing. I’m just glad Mira finally found her happily ever after with Sung!
Babyyyyyyyyyyy Zemira had me ready to smoke a cigarette and I don’t even smoke lol. Baby girl needed to cut her grass because the snakes were all around her. I’m so happy she started putting the pieces together and realized Dink wasn’t wrapped too tight in the head. Jaxi was that girl and a true friend. Lanna surprised me because I thought she was just a jealous leach. Her behavior made me realize envy can get wicked quick. Sung and Zemira I love them dowmnnnnm honey. He was stalking those social media pages in silence for his baby. So many plot twists, secrets, secret animosity, toxic behavior, and a ton of laughter. The book was amazing… I’m a lil jealous we didn’t get a sneak peek of some babies and a wedding lol.
This book was a little different than the ones that I have read from Natavia, but I really liked it. It had many plot twists and was well written. The characters were crazy. With friends like Lanna, Zemira really didn’t need any enemies. She used Zemira for her money and set her up with her treacherous boyfriend and made plans to kill her after he was released from jail. Sung and Zemira’s relationship was a breath of fresh air and he showed her how a woman should be treated. Now Conner and Jexi were funny and kept me laughing. Definitely a book well worth reading.
This was my first introduction to the Author, and it won’t be my last. Zemira, a successful Spa owner, has 1 1/2 best-friends(because that other ho, ain’t it) daughter of famous songstress, who she never had a chance to meet, and a womanizing Daddy, who now has dementia. Regardless, of the pain she’s experienced Mira, still manages to be that girl, which makes her the perfect come up for a sad ass stink coochie Ho, and DinktheStink. Thankfully, Sung swooped in and pushed peoples wigs back. This book had me cracking the hell up, and thank goodness for a real bestie, like Jexi. Everyone got what they deserved, and I’m so glad Zemira can happily sing Sung’s name 😏
Not good with writing reviews but I will say this a must read it shows how talented this Author really is and I truly enjoy reading her books. You know how to write about life lessons make them interesting and show how to still love after being thrown a few bad apples. But this book right here shows how people can be really messed up in their thought process. I'm happy for Mira and Sung ,Jexi and Connor was simply hilarious. I'm still stuck when Connor ask was he to old to take Karate😂😂 I say keep doing your thing because your own game speak for itself and I'm a fan forever
OMG NATAVIA HAS DONE IT AGAIN! This book was so good with a story plot you didn’t expect. Mira was tough but blinded by caring for the wrong people. Sung came in stole that man’s wife in 90 minutes! Sung did do what Dink said but just not the right motive lol. Dink and his rash family deserved everything they got! Jexi and Connor’s car ride scene is the funniest lmao! This book was everything and deserves all 5 stars! Natavia always delivers and none of her book’s plots are repeated. The storyline plus genuine laughs is what makes her one of the best!
I liked this story, I could have used a part from Sung but it did not take away from anything. I love Zemira strong personality. She did not take nothing from nobody and she genuinely wanted to be a good friend and spouse but things never go as planned sometimes. When she met Sung he already knew her but I still liked them together. It was the chemistry for me. It is definitely some spin offs that can happen with these chains their families. Definitely highly recommended!!!
Zemira and Sung have an envious relationship with sparked from day one which as relationship goals. Jexi and Conner also have a biracial soulmate type of love that is nurturing, passionate, and fun. With no biological link, Zemira and Jexi’s friendship blossomed into a sisterhood that defines “ride or die”. The problems are Dink / Lanna obvious intentions regarding Zemira. The levels of stupidity inherent in Zemira were insulting to the reader and difficult to read, making the story “put downable”.
If delusional was a person, it would be Lanna!!!...Crazy how she set up her friend to be scammed because she felt suffocated in the friendship, but still wants to be friends, naw sis, you want a sponsor!!!...I was so happy that Sung was willing to listen to a d hear Zemira!!!...Neck was truly the deficit a friend and I'm glad she always had Mia's back!!!...Conner had me cracking up with his comical behavior!!!...
All I can say is babbyy!!! This is one story that kept me engaged til the beginning til the end. Zemira was a strong female to deal with the foolery that was laid upon her, but to overcome that and still find true love ❤️is a amazing. Now Sung that's Bae because even with the news he got from her pissed him off he still showed up and showed out!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book it will keep you flipping the page. Natavia you did that once again!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ooh baby I was up until 2:38 in the morning, knowing I have to be at work in a few hours. I could not put this book down. I am glad Zemira had someone like Jexi in her life. Sung is for sure BAE, a boss ninja with a soft side (that’s sexy as hell) I couldn’t stand Lanna from the 1st mention. Dink the stink make me want to throat punch him. This book is a page turner and I hope to hear more from Zemira, Jexi & Sung. Great book!!
This book was definitely a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. This is so true that everyone is definitely not your friend. Zemira wa a true friend to lanna, but lanna was never her friend. I like jexi she was definitely a true friend to zemira. Sing was good for zemira. I couldn’t stand dink. Like the way the story was written. But the funny part was that even though lanna was behind bars she was still begging zemira for help. Like how zemira handle lanna though. Great read.
i LOVED this book. the main character has been through so much and it seems like she will never catch a break. she thought she was in paradise… but she was really in trouble. there are so many plot twist and surprises that happen throughout the book. it’s interesting to see how her character develops and how for her everything got better. the spice in this book is good. and overall it’s a great book! i would definitely recommend
I loved this story. Leanna was this biggest hater and snake. Her and dink were made for each other I can’t believe how ppl can just plot in u like that tho. Zamora and sung were in it from day one the chemistry was on site. Natavia never lets us down gone head and download I won’t be disappointed
I Loved this book from the first page to the last. I Loved these characters and would love to hear more from Zemira, Sung, Jexi and Connor. Maybe dive more into Jexi and Connors story. The book is a page turner. Natavia never disappoints. It's a must read. Frenemies! Whew! 🌝
The synopsis had me intrigued I thought Dink would be somebody but he was a big loser(P.O.S). I was thankful that Mira met Sung their connection was kismet ! I sideyed Lanna from the beginning I knew she was a hater. I really liked Connor and Jexi. Jexi was a true friend the flow of the story was entertaining and those spicy scenes 🔥. Hopefully us readers will hear more from the crew
I loved it!! I read a review and I was like wow that is unusual for this Author and that just about cost me from reading this book! I’m glad I have a history of reading from this Author and gave this book a try! Anyway it was good!! And a Must Read! The dang husband was a fool with it but baby the plot twist yesss
another hit Natavia ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Between “push up d$&@“, “bootchie cat”, “run up so I can so I can fold you up”, “Tyler perry as& wig”, “play with your p$&&@ but don’t play with me”. I love these characters. I think we all need a Jexi and Shanae around. Zemira didn’t let the break her though! I’m glad Sung didn’t quit on Mira too!
Sung is bae. Sung is the one. Everything about him I loved. Mari, got the happiness she deserved. Dirk had my trigger finger ready and I don't even shoot. Him and that damn Manna made butt itch, just walking around leaking and stanking. They tried to play and got played.
