But Sato is not shocked about Takagi. Meanwhile, Conan Edogawa and Detective Boys see a mysterious man that run away from something. Conan heard some noisiness around a building there is a case of murder. Ayumi said that she saw the murderer is same with the victim friend, Conan goes to Kato's friend house, but Kato's friend is Chiba!

A solid collection with a nice variety of cases, it's a good entry, but one that doesn't personally appeal to me due to the amount of time spent on Kaito Kid. With particular appeal to those who are a fan of the heist genre, there's still a lot to like even if some of the characters involved aren't your particular cup of tea.

This volume is LIT!!
1. We start off with the continuous case of baseball which hosts the cute player Hide!! (God he should have his own manga!)
2. Then we move on to TAKAGI AND SATO omg so cute! The cover of the chapter is cute (her pulling his tie) and how she reacted at the end when they said he will leave for a mission (but he didn’t) AND HE ALMOST PROPOSED BUT LETS CHILL!
3. We move on to Serena’s uncle who challenged kaito kid, I’m with Serena when she wanted to pose so kaito kid and makoto can fight over her ! Amazing I want that fantasy too!
4. Kaito kid is like a legend!

Caso Aoyama Quería Hacer un Manga de Béisbol: qué curioso que un caso tan lleno de acción a raudales sea tan aburrido. Aoyama se dedica en exceso a un partido de béisbol que, seamos sinceros, pega más bien poco en Detective Conan. Entiendo que el autor haya hecho antes El bate mágico y algunas historias cortas basadas en el mismo deporte, pero se dedica por entero al partido durante todo el caso. Es cierto que no resulta tan aburrido como verlo en un anime porque bienvenidos al medio donde el lector puede decidir el ritmo de lectura sin destruir la experiencia, pero cristo, ¿cuántas páginas hay de béisbol y, sobre todo, cuántos bocadillos del comentarista? La parte más thriller tampoco es gran cosa, siendo más un combate de desgaste que un tenso enfrentamiento mental. El problema, creo yo, se encuentra en que todas las pistas se descubren gracias a comentarios oportunos del locutor de la radio. Es increíble; siempre tiene uno preparado para el momento justo y salvar esa situación de "contador a un segundo de explotar". La importancia de Kogoro, Ran y Kazuha en el caso también es tristísima, aunque pueda comprenderlo. Me pregunto si no sería mejor que los cinco colaboraran, más aún sabiendo que Ran y Kazuha han estado en ese tipo de situaciones de vida o muerte en varias ocasiones. En resumen, es un caso olvidable, aburrido de leer y mucho menos ingenioso de lo que nos tiene acostumbrados el bueno de Aoyama.
Caso No Separéis a mi Satokagi: interesante, pero bastante estándar. Esa unión con la trama de Sato y Takagi funciona para añadir un poco de tensión, así que no tengo muchas quejas por esa parte. El problema es que voy a olvidar el caso hacia finales de esta misma semana, y ojo, que estamos a domingo. Pensaba que Megure y los suyos iban a llevarse a Chiba por alguna excusa, como que ambos pagaban a medias el piso o algo. Pero bueno, ahí está Cho, cumpliendo su gran trabajo de policía por mucho que el caso no termine de venderme su veteranía.
Caso Kaito Kid (Aerial Edition): siempre mola ver un buen caso de Kaito Kid. Teniendo en cuenta que este es, para mí, de los mejores, termino la lectura del tomo muy contento. Además de la mezcla perfecta de acción y misterio, Kaito hace un despliegue de unos trucos dignos del ingenio de Aoyama por mucho que el manga se pase un poco explicándolos y que yo supiera quién era desde el principio. Por lo demás, una genialidad con tensión muy palpable y un espectáculo que no deja de ser significativo. Menudo duelo de mentes y qué entretenido resulta todo. Lo único que me queda algo desdibujado es lo del cómplice, por mucho que entienda que eso pertenece al spin-off.

The story continues the baseball story line from the previous volume. It was so much in the last and this one that I felt it should have been contained in one volume, but I understand that when it was being produced in Japan, making these volumes wasn't a main goal when creating a long running series! The second case is one of misunderstandings and time warping!?!? Yes, messing with time...but not the way you would think. It takes a lot of Detective Conan's skills to figure out the murderer of this case...and its a treat seeing him get it done too! The next story is about a direct challenge to the Kaito Kid! This is a bit of a lighter story, which I have commented is needed after too many back to back murders in many of these stories. This story fills a good chunk of the second half of the volume and to me is just a fun, fun story. The final story begins with roughly 20 pages left in the book...so you immediately know it wont be concluded...and so as per usual, tune into the next volume of Case Closed!

The return of Kaito Kid!
Beginning with the conclusion of the last volume's final case, Harley and Conan race to find and stop a bomber at the baseball stadium before the game ends. The next case deals with Takagi grappling with possible reassignment and a murder investigation that is connected with another Tokyo detective Chiba and his friend, the main suspect. Conan and the Junior Detective League must help solve the case before the killer gets away.
The main plot of the volume involves Kaito Kid and Serena's eccentric uncle in a battle of wits that Conan and the Moores get pulled into the mix. Finally, ending the volume is a case at Rachel's (and Jimmy's) high school involving a ghost where Conan tags along to find out what is causing the strange occurrences at the school.

As mentioned above, I am going to write a proper review for this soon, but I have a few books ahead of this one in the queue, so I cannot stop reading DC NOW! That's sacrilege. I have decided to read all the chapters available up to now (we are almost to 1000!) As you can see, I am totally fangirling over here and I don't care, because this is one of my favorite manga series, ever! But all of this aside, there are a few things I wanted to list so I don't need to go back and look everything up when I do finally sit down and write my fangirl review. ✌🏻

#1, I never call this CASE CLOSED. If you do, you're not a true fan of this series, so don't even bother reading my review or my personal opinions. I'm sorry if I offend you, but you offended me first by telling me you want to read CASE CLOSED or you just love Jimmy.
#2, as you can tell by #1, I read this online. I would never waste my money buying a manga series in english that cannot get the name correct and mess up the main characters to make it appear more "ENGLISH." I am so happy I don't run a blog and this isn't a review on Sailor Moon, #1, because I have a huge soap box tirade against DiC. I also don't think there is anything against reading something online. Comics, which is what manga are, are meant to be read and shared and sometimes paying over $10 is too much in my opinion. Plus, I read the newest chapters as soon as they are released from Japan, because I would never miss a release of DC. So this is my personal shout out to you translators from me, Thank You!

The Kaito Kid case was easily the best! Although the case with Takagi and Saito was really cool...

The conclusion of the Baseball Bomber case, with Hattori Heiji. Next, Takagi and Sato must solve a murder where the man seen fleeing the scene (by the Junior Detectives) happens to be Detective Chiba's roommate - plus Takagi could be reassigned, which could strain his relationship with Sato. The next story involves Sonoko's uncle challenging the Kaito Kid to steal a precious jewel, and Conan must once again stop him. The cliffhanger involves a ghost causing mayhem at Ran and Sonoko's school, Conan volunteers to help investigate, and they are greeted by the return of Dr Ariade (who was previously the disguise of Vermouth).

Un tome très oubliable, dans la même veine que le 43.
- La fin de l'affaire du démon du Koshien... Avec Heiji, mais ça ne m'a vraiment pas intéressée.
- La "dernière affaire de Takagi" avec le coloc' de Chiba... Très mediocre.
- Kaito Kid et le Miracle de l'océan. L'introduction de Jirokichi Suzuki... Je ne suis vraiment pas fan des affaires avec le Kid, donc forcément l'oncle Suzuki ne me plaît pas beaucoup... Affaire tellement oubliable et le procédé est incompréhensible.
- Le début de l'affaire du fantôme du lycée... Le seul point intéressant du tome est le retour d'Araide...

We wrap up the baseball case with Haiji and later Kaito Kid is back to take Sonoko’s uncles challenge!
Knew Takagi leaving was a misunderstanding but the case was fun one for the Detective Boys.
The Teitan high case is off to the good start. I felt so bad for Shinichi as he got to see this old classmates but nobody knows who he is. And Dr. Araide is back.

The heist was so fun. Kato Kid suspended midair between two buildings appeared to walk between them with a huge audience, police, and helicopters! He somehow managed to steal the Blue Wonder, a prized gem. Conan always manages to solve the case. This volume didn't dissapoint!

Beautiful chapters. The one in Koshien Stadium ends with Heiji and Conan solving the codes. In the second chapter Sato and Takagi know that they love each other, but they never say it openly. Another series of files is dedicated to Kaito Kid walking on air. I didn't understand how he did it.

~ Sambungan kes dari jilid 43. Pasal ancaman bom semasa perlawanan baseball. Conan dan Heiji bersama2 mencari penjenayah dan menghentikan ancaman bom tersebut. Ada orang komen, salah sorang watak pemain baseball adalah dari komik lain karya pelukis ni juga. Tak minat sangat komik sukan, jadi mungkin tak akan baca komik tersebut. Sedangkan kes yang ni pun tak dapat nak hayati sebab tak faham peraturan permainan baseball.
~ Kes pembunuhan seorang lelaki yang akan berkahwin tak lama lagi. Pembunuhan dilakukan oleh bekas teman lelaki tunang si mangsa. Pembunuh adalah kawan kepada detektif polis Chiba. Chiba dijadikan alibi kukuh kawannya. Ada selingan kisah cinta Takagi dan Sato. Takagi menyangka dia akan dihantar ke balai polis lain untuk selesaikan kes panjang, rupanya Takagi lain.
~ Pencuri Kaito muncul lagi setelah menerima cabaran dari pakcik Jirokichi, bapa saudara Sonoko. Helah Kaito berjalan atas udara, saya dah boleh agak dia menggunakan dawai dari helikopter yang berada diatasnya cuma tak pasti cara pelaksaannya. Tapi kan, kaya betul keturunan Suzuki dalam cerita Detektif Conan ni. Entah berapa banyak helikopter pakcik Jirokichi yang digunakan untuk merakam aksi Kaito dan berapa banyak pula helikopter polis yang dikerahkan untuk menangkap Kaito. Helikopter2 ni tak sepatutnya dibazirkan dengan aktiviti sia2 macam ni. Sepatutnya digunakan untuk misi2 bantuan bencana alam dan bamtuan kemanusiaan, kan lebih berfaedah. 😂
~ Kes keempat dalam jilid ni bersambung ke jilid 45. Conan dijemput untuk merungkai misteri roh hantu Hosaka di sekolah Ran dan Sonoko. Itupun Conan mempelawa diri setelah pakcik Kogoro menolak pelawaan Ran sebab macam kes kebudak-budakan. Kemunculan cikgu Araide mengejutkan Conan sebab sebelum ni Berumosdoka dari Organisasi Hitam menyamar sebagai cikgu Araide. Rupanya kali ni betul2 cikgu Araide yang sebenar, bukan cobaan. Cerita bersambung disaat meja belajar pelajar yang mati dua tahun lepas diletakkan di tengah2 halaman berumput yang masih basah dek hujan bersama nota dendam. Tetapi yang anehnya, rumput yang basah tiada kesan tapak kaki dan nota itu pun dalam keadaan kering...

I finished this Saturday, but I'm just now getting around to doing the review. The *Detective Conan* (AKA *Case Closed*) manga series is one that I love. But, it is never a quick-read for me (think *Bleach*), since I like to try to solve the mysteries/cases as I read along, so it makes me think.
Also, I accidentally left my eReader at home on Sunday.

In this volume, a guy has promised he will kill himself at the end of the baseball game, if they don't find all the telephones he hid. In order to assist them in finding the phones, the guy sends codes that only true baseball fans--or, in this case, detectives--could figure out.
It seems to cut close at times, and is even somewhat hard to figure out. But, they do figure the clues all out, and find the phones before the end of the game. And, the guy does not kill himself.

Next, we move on to a case about a ghost at the school. It had started as just a rumor, but quickly had out of control. So, it's time to solve the case. Serena believes it is a student that died a couple years ago at the school, but the others are not quite sure who it is.

A quick and enjoyable read.

Band 44 bietet sehr viel Spannung und zwei wirklich tolle Fälle. Zunächst wird der Fall von Band 43 beendet. Dann gibt es einen kurzen witzigen Einschub mit Sato und Takagi, um schließlich zu einem sehr spannenden Auftritt von Kaito Kid zu gelangen. Dieser lässt sich wieder mal einiges an Tricks einfallen, um das Publikum zu begeistern und seine Jäger zu ärgern ;) Am Ende beginnt dann noch eine kleine Spukgeschichte an Ran's Schule, die aber erst in Band 45 weitergeführt wird. Die Zeichnungen sind wie immer toll und ich fand Kids Auftritt mal wieder herrlich :)

I think I'm the one who doesn't like story about Kaito Kid.
I like him, but if this book start a case with him, I feel it boring because of predictable ending.

A conclusion to the interesting Koshien bombing arc and a new story with Kaito Kid? A+!

It was pretty good but I think the anime is better.
