When Lisa goes to visit her parents, she comes home to an empty house. Or so she thinks. As a storm rages outside, Lisa tries to getaway from something unknown that's hiding in the shadows.
Lisa goes to her parents house for a quiet weekend. A strong storm begins as she arrives, and her parents have left for a getaway. She's on edge, uncertain why, but then sees shadows moving – man shaped shadows, and they're following her wherever she goes in the house. This fast paced, short tale presents Mel Massey's incredible talent. The suspense was immediate, even though the characters were having simple problems people experience every day. A simple loss of cell service elicits terror, the knock on the door brings uncertainty. Massey has accomplished so much with so few words. I was enthralled with this story from the beginning, and couldn't put the Kindle down until I finished. I highly recommend this story to all readers.
