About the author

Verena DeLuca is a pen name for the life partner duo Sabetha Danes & NAK Baldron. When we’re not homeschooling our artistic daughter, we spend our afternoons arguing the finer details of books. Failing that, we can be found walking the many nature trails around our home.

Marble Falls is an actual tourist destination an hour west of Austin, Texas, that we’re proud to call home. While Aconite Cafe isn’t an actual coffee shop, it is the name of our publishing company. We love coffee nearly as much as Hailey, though we’ve been known to break the cardinal rule and drink tea.

Azure is based on our cat James, who’s just as snarky.

This book is a great way to get an introduction to authors you have never read before. Gives you a sample of how they write. While every story won’t be enjoyed by everyone, the overall idea is 5 Star for sure.

Carmen Radtke’s Dead Ringers and Light Fingers is definitely a 5-star read. A side story to her main series - A Jack and France Mystery - this quick standalone showcases Marie, a wonderful character from the main series. A fun story watching Marie solve a great mystery. A few other “Top Note” characters help along with the way too. Wonderful quick read. Nice summer diversion.

A fun read of assorted short stories all centered around the BEACH!!

[Jessica Thompson]

So much fun to solve the mysteries and be on vacation with the sleuths!

The Beachside Bungle-Oh! Jericho Falls Cozy Mysteries, my fifth short read from author Brook Peterson. With this series, Peterson is rapidly becoming one of my go-to authors! “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author and in this series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).:

Christmastide in Glasgow: Màiri's Home for the Holidays, my first enjoyable short (38-pages) read from author Kate Darroch that I finished in half an hour. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018.
