Where do I even start.
I'm going to repeat what I said in one of my progress updates.
Throughout the entire book I spotted quite a few spelling mistakes, which is normal, mistakes are made you know? But, me being an extreme perfectionist, it was kind of bothering to see this many? Especially near the end I just kept spotting more. I feel like it was kind of rushed to get it done and over with, maybe an extra revision could've helped. Eitherway, if we ignore the spelling and grammar mistakes, I truly enjoyed this book. It was hard for me to get through at first, because I didn't want it to end lol (yes, I'm that kind of person, I procrastinate because I want to be able to enjoy it as long as possible, but I have other books I NEED to read.
Okay, so basically it's just the series translated into words, which is of course entirely fine and still enjoyable! And I love how the author described the relationship between Sylvie and Loki (don't come for me, I respect Lokius as well), it kept my attention so well. I really hope there'll be a novelisation of season 2, I am practically begging.
Starting off was tough, episode 1 is kind of tedious, but surprisingly it wasn't like that in the book for me, which is amazing. It was sometimes a little bit confusing when the author introduced Sylvie, because at first she's a cloaked figure and then suddenly we know her name, but the next page she's a cloaked figure again, but I understand why this was done.
Nearing the end. Wow! Honestly, the way their emotions were captured, it's just wow. I don't really have words for it, but I love how it was written.
It started to get a little repetitive with the names and certain events, like... I know. Though, this didn't bother me.
UGH, I NEED TO SCREAM ABOUT THE ENDING, HELLO, THE SADNESS? THE WAY LOKI WANTED SYLVIE TO BELIEVE HIM HE DOESN'T WANT THE THRONE? Yeah, I'll forever love them, I'll never be able to not cry about it, because I did. Yes, I marked the book twice with blue sticky notes to remind myself of the agony. I think this means I'll have to rewatch the series... AGAIN... (I say as I start up Disney+ and smile brightly).
Conclusion, this was a fine read! It kept my attention (I actually had such a long reading session before finishing the book that it started to hurt my brain and then I realised it was midnight). I give it a solid 4 stars, it's not one of my favourite books, but that's okay! I will reread it sometime anyway, probably. I give it 4 stars, because the grammar and spelling really got on my nerves and my ass just can't handle that somehow, excuse me.
