As a coach, I believe in second chances. But, after the Marines and college ball and a divorce, I sure as hell didn’t want to return to this little burg to get it. Too many secrets, too many ghosts in this small town. For starters, there’s my ex’s bestie, Brandy Moore. Brandy has hated me since forever, and now we’re forced to work together as teachers. She has always been a thorn in my side. I’d like to turn that around if she’d let me. But all she does is drill me with those laser green eyes and talk to me like a cobra spitting venom. Oh, I have every reason to hate her back, except for that swimsuit model body, those dark olive eyes, that auburn hair. She bothers me. My landlady bothers me, too. I think she and her hubby are involved in something sinister. And they may be out to get me. So, when Brandy invites me to stay with her until we can unravel their plot, I’m unnerved. She says she wants to help me find out what’s going on, which puts her in the crosshairs, too. Sleeping in her house? Chasing demons? This should be interesting.

Second Chance Tangle is a small town, clean, enemies-to-lovers, romantic suspense. Russ is a hunky ex-football player returning to his hometown broke after a nasty divorce. Brandy is a local english teacher and his ex-wife's best friend. When Russ returns home to take a job, a head football coach, he and Brandy are forced to work together. After fighting for so long, they start to realize there might be attraction as well. The two start a tentative friendship and then relationship only to have his ex-wife return. On top of that, there is something fishy about Russ's rental property and landlords. When strange things start to happen to him, Brandy agrees to help him, but is she now in danger, too? As they work to find the threat, they realize they can't trust many people. Can they keep each other safe? I thought the chemistry was decent and liked seeing their relationship evolve. After the drama, we do get a nice HEA.

This is a clean, sweet, small town romance. Ross is a clean cut former football star who is returning to his hometown after he is divorced. Brandy is an English teacher in the town and she is also Ross's ex-wife's best friend. Russ takes the job as football coach, which means that he and Brandy are working together. There's a lot of snark, but the two of them also see that maybe they have been wrong about the other and form a tentative friendship. This progresses to a relationship, which is complicated by the return of Ross's ex. There's also a mystery that puts both of them in danger and they need to protect each other from those outside threats. All in all, a quick read with great characters.

Russ has returned home to start coaching the high school football team after a failed marriage to his high school sweetheart. He runs into his ex's BFF, Brandy, who has always hated him. Turns out they will be working together at the high school. They begin to work out their differences when things go off the rails with his ex returning to town and his strange landlord. The romance was very predictable and the plot with the landlord came out of left field and was a bit strange. Can't decide if I enjoyed this one or now.

Second Chance Tangle is a suspense-filled mystery with some deep twists and unexpected turns. The male main character is returning to his hometown after divorce, and he finds strange items and happenings in his new rental. He also finds his growing attraction to his ex-wife’s best friend, who has always disliked him. Sparks fly from the moment they first see each other, and their strange relationship evolves and devolves then evolves again along with the other plot of the story. Low on steam but high on action, this is a good mystery with a love story woven in.

Second Chance Tangle is an intriguing,suspenseful with ups and down and second chance at love romance story of Russ and Brandy..the two known each other since they were teens and Brandy doesn't like Russ and dating her bestfriend and later on marry each other..being a hotshot football player who tease and make fun of her..now years later divorce and now the new football coach of their school..Now the dislike they have for each other turned love and someone wanted to hurt them when they found something they shouldn't.

Russ has returned to his hometown to coach the football team. Also at the school is his ex wifes BFF and they are forced to work together. Feelings start to change as they open up, but shut down the second the ex is back in town. Weird things are also going on at his rental property and with the owners. The characters are well developed. The storyline has great details, drama, twists, revelations, entertaining situations and chemistry. Good ending.

Russ Cannon has come back to Hart Canyon after going through a divorce with his wife. He takes on the role of coach for the boys' football team and rents a house without seeing it first. On his first day in town, Russ has car trouble and needs to get it fixed. He also bumps into Brandy, who happens to be his ex-wife's close friend. This story has action, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. A new author for me and I'm glad I picked up this first book in the series to read. Russ is starting his life over in the small town he grew up in and is reconnected with Brandy. Great characters with enough secrets that come out, you can't go wrong in reading this series.

DNF at 70%. Why not finish? Because suddenly there was a whole new storyline that was so weird I just couldn’t. I wasn’t in love with the story at this point but just no.

This book was a great suspenseful read, that kept me hooked to the very last page. I loved he plot of the story line and fell in love with the main characters. This author really does know how to write, can't wait to read more by her.
