After solving the mystery of the secret of Blue Lake, Meg returns to Chicago and to her new job as co-host on Chicago Midday. But when poor chemistry with Trenton Dealy leads to problems on the show, Meg is assigned a travel segment that will send her on location all around Lake Michigan visiting beach towns and local tourist attractions. The trip takes her away from fiancé Brian who has to continue anchoring the nightly news in Chicago. When odd threats start hurtling in Meg’s direction, she finally confesses to Brian and those closest to her that she might have a stalker. Do the threats have something to do with the new information she learned about her dad’s past in the little town of St. Joseph, Michigan, or is there something bigger at play that threatens more than Meg’s livelihood?
Romance and Mystery span Chicago to small-town Michigan.

Marcy Blesy is a new to me Michigan author, who is doing a book signing at Forever Books, an independent bookstore up the bluff from Silver Beach. The Secret of silver Beach is Book 2 in Life's Secrets series, but can be read as a stand alone. Meg and Brian are likable characters, the plot is filled with twists and turns, the story is a page turner with a believable resolution. I enjoyed the many references real places in Michigan. I look forward to meeting this talented Michigan writer.
Meg - I've never spent so much time in any state other than my home state of Illinois until this year in Michigan. It's been both the location of great love, great fear, and great sadness. What a whirlwind year it has been.
Turns out that the people around you can be dangerous even if they seem nice on the surface. Meg finds this out the hard way while launching a new news show in Chicago. She also has discovered things about her father that was interesting and unexpected. While covering local towns and attractions around Lake Michigan she is threatened and it is scary. She goes home early and all seems to be working out. Must read to find out what happens. Marcy is great and I look forward to her books.
I probably should have read Secret of Blue Lake first, but it really didn't take away from The Secret of Silver Lake. It was a great read! Lots of twists and turns. We love visiting St. Joe whenever we're in SW Michigan and it's fun reading a story that featured the town. I will definitely be reading more of Marcy's books.
