As long as I have been a reader you would have thought I knew better by now. This book was getting good & my fingers were crossed that it was a standalone so I wouldnt have to wait but of course...there was a cliffhanger. And it seems like the real action is getting ready to start! The characters were definitely holding my attention but i had to give it 4 stars because of some errors. I also couldnt remember who was speaking to who because quite a few times the author didnt put names with the phrases which left me guessing. At least got the character name at the beginning of the chapter. I loved the girls friendship but they were all going through some troubles that also made me feel sorry for them. Rae has every right to be skeptical and a little standoffish because Brixx seems a little too good to be true. It's like im sitting back waiting for something or somebody to pop out with some damaging info. And in true urban fiction fashion, a good story isnt complete without the jealous or delusional character who in this case seems to be Kash...and maybe Neesha. Im definitely waiting to see how all this plays out. I can say, even with the errors I finished the book in one day.

Great Read! Going to need part 2 asap!
You have Ko’rae, a 28 year old woman who is in a dead end relationship with Greg. He’s no good and he’s hurting her over and over again. She meets a handsome man named Brixx (Adonis) through her friend Gia. Brixx sees her and wants her. He is determined to win her heart and make her his. Ayjah her godsis and other bestfriend wants her to take a chance on him as well as Gia.
But Rae is on the fence to give him a chance because she is still hurt from trusting and loving Greg while he did her wrong. He even caused her to lose their baby even though she didn’t really want a baby with him it was the point that he would let two women jump her and not assist.
Brixx pulls out all the stops though to let her know he’s genuine and wants to make her his girl. She slowly lets him in. But trouble follows when his ex friend gets out of prison early and seeks vengeance on Brixx and his other bestfriend Eazy.
I can’t wait to see what happens ! Great book 10/10 !

Things are about to get heated in part 2
Yes I am definitely loving this crew Ko’Rae, Ahja and Gia are three besties that rock out hard behind each other and I am loving their friendship. These ladies have dealt with trifling men in past relationships and are fighting to move on and open their hearts to love again but the baggage they are carrying has them all with their guard up. Brixx, Easy and Nine are definitely up for the challenge of dealing with the baggage these ladies are carrying around with them hopefully they can get past the walls they have put up and get their happy ending. Now lastly Kash and Neesha are about to start a war with the plans they are trying to put into play against Brixx and Easy so things are going to be a little hot in part 2 and I can’t wait.

a must read
They say sometimes you have to leave a buster/lame to be with a real one in this case im happy Ko is letting her guard down and getting to know Brix and im glad she is finally seeing that Greg wasn’t it for her he was just a bum sometimes you have to cut your loss from a scrub and just boss up with a real one I like how Brix reminds Ko that what she and Greg had wasn’t love she will see what it’s like to be with a real one and to see what true love is I can’t wait for part two cause I know T’yanna going to bring more drama and heat in this book and besides we will get to see more of Brix being the boss ZADDY he is

Part 2 is needed ASAP
Ugh Greg made me so mad from the beginning but I loved how everybody stuck together no questions asked that club night scene was so funny! I’m happy Rae moved on and even happier that she had the chance to experience a real man from the start. Ahja had me so upset with her because why not just say what you want and stick to it then get mad at everybody but yourself because you wouldn’t speak up! I hope Gia gets to experience a real man she deserves it! I love with Brixx, Eazy and Nind brought to the table. I hope Lash and Neesha get exactly what they’re looking for! The negativity was so strong! I can’t wait for part 2!

I was feeling some kind of way because Rae, Gia and Ahja have let these no good dudes play on in their face. Now some real about their business guys are after them and they don't know how to take it or handle having true sincere feelings, respect and love shown to them. I hope Rae and Brixx get it together and not get pregnant before that. Easy and Ahja had me laughing so hard because neither one of them want the other to not be interested in them but clowns or shows serious attitude when the other has the opposite sex in their face. I am looking forward to Gia and Nine getting together and i want to see which one of the guys will have to get at kash.

Good story
Absolutely loving these characters. It's sad but true that men/women once hurt by someone they gave their all too it's hard to let go and move on especially if the new person is genuinely showing you everything that he/she may have been desiring . Ko'rae and her best friends are going thru something s but hopefully they can get it together and find that happiness they are looking for. I hope that since Cash came home he lets things go like his wife asked so they could move on but knowing him he's one of those men that wants his cake and eat it too all while doing dirt no matter whom he hurts. Need but 2 ASAP

Superb Read
Now how Kash gonna get outta pocket with Gia when he just climbed out of his WIFE!!!!! Boy go sit down. He barking up the wrong tree fking with Nine cause ion think he got enough screws in his head. Kash on this envious get back when he the grimy one. I like Brixx and Rae together. I believe he will handle her heart with way more care than Greg ever could. I'm rooting for Ahja and Eazy. I know he loves her even tho she like to downplay what they have. Kash better tread lightly tho cause ion believe he really want smoke with Brixx, Eazy and Nine.💗💗

Whewww I don’t even know where to began this book was so freaking good. Ko'Rae really was starting to get on my nerves at the beginning of the book. Crazy how she endured so much heartache at the hands of a no good man that was only taking her for granted bcuz she always stick around no matter what. Greg deserved that butt whopping and more. I loved Ko'Rae, Ahja and Bri friendship and bond. Kash still grimy and Nine ain't the one he wanna play with. I'm glad Brixx and Ko'Rae got together, bcuz Greg wasn't it. I want more of Ahja and Eazy. I can't wait to see what happens in part 2!

So sogood!
This was a very solid story from beginning to the cliffhanger at the end. The writer throws us right into the fire and just lets it burn. The characters are solid and the development is done well. I love the fact the women are solid hard working and about their friendship, family and having a solid soulmate that can hold them down. Of course along the way we are going to encounter a few bumps in the road,but what would life be if you didn't. This was a very entertaining story,with a strong cast of characters and a tasty storyline.

A Page Turner
I started reading at like 2am thinking I would read a little, fall asleep, then read the rest when I woke up. Fast forward, I didn't go to sleep til around 5/6am b/c I finished the whole book. Bravo 👏🏽 I love how this book gave you different types of realistic relationships (i.e. friends, lovers, situationships, etc.) & especially how the girls had their own from jump. I'd give it a 10/10

Bailed Out!!!
Sorry but I tried to read the book, hoping that it would get interesting. However, at about 30% in, Ko’Rae is still stuck on stupid. All I’ve heard about is Greg and what she was wearing. Even Brixton doesn’t appear to have much personality. So I’m going to cut my losses and move on to the next book.

A must read!!
This is my first read from this author and I'm not disappointed at all. The men before really did some damage but I'm hoping things turn around for the couples. I'm so ready for part 2... this was a page turner... good read T'yanna.

LOVED IT
I love Ko’Rae Ahja and Gia friendship they very loyal to each other. When Ko’Rae finally left Greg I was happy Brixx is good for her I didn’t think she would ever do it. I have hope for Ahja and Eazy I want them to be something if she just give him a chance the same with Nine and Gia Kash and Neesha are wrong I hope they get what’s coming to them jealousy is not good. I can’t till part 2 great read
