I have to start by saying that I absolutely loved this family. I can't wait to read the other books in this series to see where it goes from here. Sean Campbell needs a vacation. He is on his families’ last nerve. They get so fed up with him that they plan a weeklong vacation without telling him where he is going. They even packed all of his clothes. He was sent away with nothing and them saying that everything will be taken care of. Sean's grumpy attitude has taken a toll not only on his family but the business where he is an executive at CEI.

Fiona Ferguson needed to get away. Her husband had just passed away and she needed to regroup. She went to Turks and Caicos to have fun. She met a man named Sean but not personal information was exchanged. They had a good time together until the morning after when he ran off. Fiona was surprised to see him in her support group once back in town. The two had a a lot in common including where they worked also that they were both widows. Sean already had two older children, Jacob and Colin.

There is a lot going on with both Fiona and Sean. Sean is still has a lot anger regarding his wife and her death. Will that anger effect the life he could possibly have with Fiona? Sean is quick to jump to the wrong conclusion and nothing seems to deter him once he is on a path even if it the wrong path. You know I love me a book with some kids. Usually it is because the kids are young and cute but Sean's kids are teens and they captured my heart just the same. These kids were able to handle things a lot better than their dad. Sean has a lot of growing to do. Will Fiona hang around while he does it?

Wow darn good book. A lot of ups and downs. I loved Fiona and Sean. How they met was very interesting since he fell into her on the beach. They both were sent on vacation. Sean because he was being a grumpy butt and Fiona because she was having a hard time. They both lost their significant others They both had a difficult time getting past it. So Sean and Fiona spent the vacation together for the most part. They did a lot of the activities together. Then Sean ended up leaving earlier than he was supposed to. They never thought they would see each other again. Turns out that wasn’t the case because they lived in the same town and they have people in common. I highly recommend this book.

Time jumps and mixed bag

I think this could be a good book if there was a good editor. The story jumped in places. She knew about the twins on one page but then later she was just finding out. It was quite confusin g and so many characters that it made my head spin. The hero was a jerk but he came around. The writing is a little too juvenile and is not constructed well but a good editor can probably help with that as I said. I look forward to reading her future novels if she gets the help she needs.

This book takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions.
The story is all about family, love, joy and sadness. It deals with grief and all the emotions that go with it.
Even though this story is about Sean and Fiona, you get sucked into the Campbell family, where you get to learn a bit about other members of the family too. It is beautifully written, I need to find me a Campbell! 🥰

Resisting the Campbell

This is book one in the Campbell romance series. They can be read as a series or stand alone, but you’ll want the whole dang series!

Sean just lost his wife and us in great need of a vacay. When his sister in law Natalia forces him to go, he realizes how much he needs to let everything go.

Fiona’s husband died in a place crash. Needing to get away, her best friend bought her a beach trip for her birthday.

When they run into each other in Turks and Caicos, both of them realize that they need someone else to help them heal. Expecting their relationship to stay in Turks, they give in to their feelings.

They never expected to be employed at the same company or having to see each other every day. Eventually they both realize that they want to continue what they had on the island. Fiona falls in love with Sean’s boys. And Sean is falling love with Fiona.

I am so excited this is the start of a series because I need more of this!!!!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a great feel good read that had me laughing and crying.

Both Sean and Fiona have dealt with heartache in their lives when a chance meeting on vacation brings them together and changes both their lives.

Great Book

I'm so glad, my friends, suggest this book, to me. This book was Great. I 💓 this book. Its show a loving ,support family, I 💓 how she has Fiona stand up for her self. I love the way his kids, and his family stood, behind her , instead of taking his side, because they new he was wrong. They welcome her and stood behind her. I love the way the family, help Sean, in their way without him knowing about it. I just didn't Like Sean, for a while. Until he came , to his senses. I recommends, this book. Definitely, going to read, more of this series. Great Book.

With fascinating characters and a heartstring-tugging storyline, this book is riveting. Sean Campbell is man fighting a few personal demons, demons that make him quick to anger and cloud his judgement. The death of his wife, discovering she was cheating on him and being mired in grief, anger and guilt has changed him over the last six months. His anger issues are the reason he is being forced to take a vacation with the hopes of giving him time to sort himself out and improve his disposition He never expected to meet a red-headed beauty who challenged his sense of adventure, is easy to talk to and sparks something deep within him. A passionate and steamy session soon hits all his hot buttons and he makes a quick exit, leaving his companion dejected and regretful.

Fiona has her own reasons for needing a vacation. After her husband’s death a year ago, she discovered his infidelity with multiple women and that he had accumulated a mountain of debt in her name. Forced to sell everything to pay down the debt and now unemployed, she has used her late husband’s accrued points and discounts to take a vacation before applying for another job. She never expected to meet a handsome and charming man who makes her feel beautiful and desirable. A very passionate encounter that feels so right soon turns into all kinds of wrong when he can’t leave her fast enough. They never even exchanged last names or contact information.

Fate or a few meddling Campbells bring Fiona and Sean together again. Unfortunately, Sean has not resolved his anger or trust issues and basically makes a muck of things. Fiona, thankfully, has learned to stand up for herself and sets about showing Sean what an arrogant idiot he has become. From this point on, their relationship becomes a cycle of advance and retreat, crash and burn before he works to redeem himself and ask for forgiveness. He rushes to anger and lashing out before finally realizing he in the wrong and just made another mess with the woman he has come to love. With his family firmly on Fiona’s side and taking him to task, will these two ever have a happily ever after?

I must admit that I have fallen for Campbell clan. The way they rally around Fiona and each other is wonderful and Sean’s sons make it so easy to love them, just as Fiona discovered. I can’t wait to read the next books in this series and learn more about the Campbells.

This is the first book I've read by this author and it sure won't be the last! I couldn't put it down once I started I was hooked from the start. What a rollercoaster ride, my emotions where all over the place. I loved how family orientated it was. I liked that the author let us see a glimpse of the other members in the family. It was so beautifully written. The characters where amazing. It was filled with so much love, joy, romance, grief, healing, spice and so much more.

Sean is our MMC, and is one miserable f*cker to be around and his family has had enough and he's getting on their last damn nerve, so his sister in law steps in and tells him straight he's getting out off here and on a plane and taking sometime. All he has to do is get his butt in that seat and relax.. no work , no nothing. He wants to argue but she's right he is a miserable f*cker and is letting his family and his business go down the drain. Maybe time away is really what he needs and he goes. But never did he imagine what was too happen there.

Fiona is our FMC and is going through grief aswell after losing her husband and being told maybe vacay will do her the world off good. So that's just what she does sometimes away to clear her head and relax. She never thought she would meet a sexy ass man on holiday and be instantly smitten.

They both hit it off, leaving any important information out, just have fun together. A romance away that will be left there once they leave. But shit hits the fan and both are shocked to learn to they live in the same town and work at the same place. After Sean steps foot inside her support group. So much happens.

What will happen to them? Will Fiona wait for the grump of a man to get his act together? Will two lost souls find love and comfort in each other? Or will Sean screw it all up? Grab it and find out ! It's a must read!! I loved this family and can't wait to read more in the series. Highly recommend.

This is the first book in A Campbell Romance Series and is about Sean and Fiona. When you first look at the list of characters, it can look overwhelming but it's really not. The more you get into the book, the more you learn who is who.
Sean is at a place in life where he's unhappy. He loves his kids but he's wife cheated on him and was pregnant by the other man. He doesn't know how to let go because he never got to confront her because she passed away. His family has had enough of his crappy attitude and decide to send him on vacation..
Fiona's husband cheated on her and had a child with another woman that she didn't know anything about. He passed away and she found out he had been cheating for years and had accumulated alot of debt. But she's determined she's going to take a vacation.. Or more less, her friend talks her into it.
Fiona and Sean meet while on vacation and it ends not so great...through forces of the universe....Fiona gets a job where Sean knows extremely well..
There's some surprises, drama and hurt that goes on and Sean has to face the demons of his marriage and Fiona has to prove to herself she will be just fine financially on her own... But will they be able to help each other or will Sean's temper wreck everything??

Safe and comforting billionaire, grumpy - sunshine romance.

🔸️What I liked:
• Both characters are older. He is in his 40ties, she is in her 30ties.
• Both MCs have already been married (both are widowed).
• Sean has 2 teenage boys who are cute to the core.
• Fiona is a sunshine firecracker, and after being hurt by Sean she is giving him a really hard time (very rightfully).
• The turning point in romance was bit brutal, but realistic. It was good.

🔸️ In my eyes, Sean's anger issues are generally exaggerated by others. Yes, he has tendency to be grumpy jerk and is stucked in the past and needs therapy, but his emotions are sincere and raw. I didn't like how he was later pushed to censor every word around Fiona. It was taken too far for me.

🔸️ Overall, the story is a sweet introduction to Campbell family saga. If you like romances, which include a big amount of busybody family members, a world in which all problems are being solved fast and easily, if you are fan of high level of consensuality, that's the story for you.

Sean Campbell has money, power, and a past he can’t let go of. When his meddling family forces him on a tropical vacation, he doesn’t expect sunshine—or Fiona—to crack through his walls.
Fiona is sweet, resilient, and still healing from her late husband’s betrayal. She isn’t looking for love, but one irresistible night under the island sky changes everything.
Back home, fate throws them together again… along with a life-changing surprise neither expected. As family drama, forgiveness, and an unexpected pregnancy reshape their lives, Sean must confront his past—and Fiona must decide if she’s willing to risk her heart again. Sean's stubbornness will definitely test your patience throughout this book!

Initially I absolutely adored this story, the characters were just different enough to believe the will they, won't they, but through the major plot twist, which took at least half the book to get through, I felt it there were little redeeming qualities left for the characters, they both became utterly self absorbed in their own version of events with little care for the other. He refused to take no for an answer, and she withheld something that mattered to him until they eventually "worked it out"… it shouldn't have worked but in some ways it did. There was an ending that could be appreciated even if it wasn't the "fluffy love story" it appeared it could have been in the first half.

Review 🖤

Fiona and Sean story had me hooked!! I loved seeing both the characters growth from the start to the end especially Sean’s!!

I loved seeing Fiona’s relationship blossom with Sean’s sons and family even when things with her and Sean were rocky!! And seeing Fiona grow and become confident in herself and what she wants🥰

Sean’s character growth throughout the book was a lot!! There were times I thought he was dumb but seeing him change and learn was amazing!!!

I loved the story line and the plot twists!!!
Overall I absolutely loved this book and would definitely recommend it!!!

I liked this story. It was simple and wasn’t too complicated or difficult to read. Sean and Fiona have both been through grief. Both of their spouses cheated and ended up dying tragically. They both met on an island that they went to for a vacay. Sean had a lot of anger issues but I’m glad he worked on it. He hurt Fiona over and over again but his family took her in and supported her. They loved her no matter what. Colin and Jacob were just the sweetest boys. The plot twists were a nice touch as well.

I received an Arc copy and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

I really enjoyed this book it was a great feel good read that had me laughing and crying.

Both Sean and Fiona have dealt with heartache in their lives when a chance meeting on vacation brings them together and changes both their lives.

I enjoyed how Sean’s character developed and we got an insight into how he felt and learned to grow to allow himself to be the man he used to be. I enjoyed watching Fiona’s character grow into a strong confident woman and that she didn’t forgive Sean straight away, she made him work for it.

I’m looking forward to reading more from this series.

Resisting the Campbell is book 1 of the Campbell Family Romance series. This is Sean and Fiona’s story, and it is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This book had me yelling at it because Sean is an idiot, I don’t really blame him for thinking how he does, but he goes about it all wrong. Fiona is determined to be strong and even though Sean acts a fool, his family steps up and is 100% there to support Fiona. Will Sean redeem himself? You will have to read it to find out!

As always be mindful of any trigger warnings what I like you may not.

Happy Reading!

I'm not sure what to think about this book. Up until around 50% I enjoyed it. I love how the FMC connected with MMC's family and his sons and it was heartwarming to see how she began to gain her strength back. But then shit hit the fan. For me, in the second part of the book there was just too much angst and bad blood between main character to really enjoy their story.

There were also some errors in the sentence order, which would have been relatively easy to catch during proofreading, so they stand out.

Sean is a stubborn Campbell

Sean has quite the bad temper and is being forced to go away to deal with it. Does he deal with or will he lose the important people in his life? I won't tell you what happens but I will say that there is some groveling, some personal work, some self growth, some love, some anger, some trial and error to try to make a go of this relationship. It so worth the read on every level.

Fiona was wronged. Sean thought he was too. They meet on vacation & had a fling & Sean runs out early. Long story short? They end up meeting again once they’re both home. Fireworks ensue of all sorts-Sean & Fiona are the love we all want—or are they? Lots of drama. Lots of heartache. But Fiona is strong & interestingly enough, Sean’s family rallies with her. This was an amazing read of strength & love & some nice spicy scenes. Thoroughly enjoyed this book!

I liked this book but I was hoping to love it.

At first I was very intimidated with the character list and trying to figure out the family/friends chart. Throwing caution to the wind, it was easy to understand who was who while reading.

Resisting the Campbell has great “bones” and I was excited for the story plot and all the different tropes. I was sucked into Fiona and Sean’s stories in the beginning until the halfway point.

Unfortunately for me, that’s when I struggled with the progression of the book and thought vital key points were overlooked.

For example, when Fiona was in labor and had the babies, in one sentence she was in the hospital and the next, it’s 6 months later. That’s where it fell short for me. I would have liked to known what happened during labor and how the babies strengthen the connection in their relationship or meeting big brothers Jacob and Colin. I felt this happened quite a bit in the second half and thought it took away from the story. There were times I felt like a ping pong ball trying to follow along and had to reread parts to understand.

Overall, I like the story and who does want a family like the Campbell’s!

Relationships are hard!

Sean is confused & angry, so his sister-in-law sent him on vacation. Fiona was rewarded a vacation after her dead husband left her in debt & she lost her job. They meet and have a fling, thinking they'd never see each other again. Between Sean's anger issues & her new confidence sparks will fly. Lots of feels! Enjoy! 📚🎉❤️🌻

Sean really got to me lol. His attitude was horrible, but he came around. While both went through similar pasts you can see the difference in how people handle things mentally. This book is really good and I'm ready for more from the Campbell's.
