Super cute and really funny! It's been a while since I've found a josei manga that I really like from the get-go. This actually reminds me a lot of Tramps Like Us but with the genders reversed. It's nice to read a manga with characters around my age so there's more for me to connect with too.

Deprimierter Single mit Geldproblemen wollte sie in ihrem Alter eigentlich nicht mehr sein und deswegen macht sie sich auf die Suche nach einer neuen Stelle... und nach einem neuen Freund?
Meine Meinung:
Ein zuckersüßer Manga rund um die naive und wahnsinnig Fleisch besessene Michiko. Der Stil ist dabei sehr niedlich und mädchenhaft gehalten und passt gut zum Inhalt.
Sie ist eigentlich eine Protagonistin, die man nicht so schnell ins Herz schließen kann, weil sie einfach so furchtbar blauäugig ist und sich von Männern auf der Nase rumtanzen lässt.
Dies ist manchmal etwas anstrengend und versteckt, wie niedlich und witzig sie eigentlich ist. Dazu isst sie für ihr Leben gerne Fleisch, kann es sich aber eigentlich nicht leisten und dreht dann vor Freude immer vollkommen durch.
Dem entgegen steht der Abteilungsleiter, der mit beiden Beinen fest im Leben steht und gar nichts von Michikos Spinnereien hält - ihr trotzdem aber ständig hilft.
Ein niedlicher erster Band, der noch viel Potential hat, sich zu entwickeln.

Fabulous art coupled with a breezy storyline. It's devoid of any weird obsessions that popular manga invariably like the gross obsession with teenage sexual scenarios. Of course that is because it deals with a heroine who lies squarely in the adult bracket of age. She's 29! Do you know how uncommon it is to come across a manga like that? One that isn't showing her as a cougar or a "milf"? I am going to treasure this one.

Give this manga a chance !!!
1. I love Aya Nakahara’s work
2. I love the plot! It’s not *that* cliche, it has the good measured amount of cliche-ness that I like.
3. The main character (ex-boss) is literally my shoujo MC idéal literally!
4. The art is cute and it has nice simplicity!
5. Unfortunately I can’t find the rest of the chapter but I did read the rest of the manga through RaffManga and I should go back and continue reading it.
All in all, 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Honestly I really was going to drop this manga altogether cause I really thought the FL was seriously mega dumb when it comes to being easily swayed by fellas without considering a double check if they are actual legitimate or not. However as I got into to reading more of the manga, you start to getting use to Shibata as a character. You just have to admire her that she always pokes fun at Shun with her chin sticking out. Just funny banters basically both her and Shun have throughout XD
Also for those who would prefer the chemistry to suddenly happen, you might have to find other romance manga for that. This manga is very much a slow burner like it seems the author wants to give the characters more time to grow and get use to each other. That’s what i really admired about Nakaharas work like she did well with the comedy too in Love Complex! Again I did not expect to enjoy this manga, it is super cute and it’s nice for a change that it’s different from the other mangas out there who don’t add that type of flavours needed to the story!
Also it has a Jdrama for those who want to watch in its live form! Very good “slow burn” romance story guys, check it out 😊😊😊😊😊

I loved the story and characters especially the main protagonist, Shibata. Even though Shunin is a bully, he still has a caring side.

I love this manga. This author is very talented, since the stories (both this one and LoveCom) are simple but she makes them funny, adorable and romantic. The artwork is beautiful (eyes, clothes). At the beginning it seemed like the MC, Shibata, was a TSTL character, but she quickly grew on me. Yes, she is very naive at first, when it comes to a pretty, young face, but she learns eventually. And she is so relatable! And I mean in everything: dates-or-lack-of, being a 30(ish) girl with no prospects of marriage, having a hard time at work because of younger girls who like to chit-chat, not being capable in other jobs, being an average looking girl, having parents that like to annoy, etc. Her expressions are so funny! Sticking out the chin, just like Risa from LoveCom.
Shunin is an adorable love interest. It was impossible for Shibata to NOT fall in love with him, in spite of him being a pain in the ass, a know-it-all and an insufferable jerk sometimes. She acknowledges all of this, and yet, she can't deny he is a good guy <3 too bad he can't forget that girl ^_^ I wish he noticed Shibata more as a woman, but I can't complain, since their bickering is amusing and lots of fun. Lots of chemistry between them (not just romantic, unfortunately).
The BL cover was amusing and awkward at the same time, hahaha. Shunin as an uke? Like hell.
And despite of the fact that I usually hate a 2nd lead male coming into the heroine's life, I am satisfied this time. I like that Shibata gave them an opportunity, and that he was a nice guy. I almost wished she would fall for him, and to forget Shunin! Shunin is an ass and doesn't even LOOK at Shibata... Nevertheless, I couldn't. My thoughts were just like Shibata's ^_^ You have my back in everything, Michiko!
I think that is the main reason I am enjoying this josei so much... not only it is funny, but, except for the beginning, I never thought Shibata was stupid. I like her and I support everything she is going thru. Which is very important when I am reading a book. Too bad there is only 2 more chapters translated left ^_^ I really want to finish her story and read when stupid Shunin realizes she is the one...

Es bueno volver a leer un manga de esta mujer, porque desde Lovely Complex me enamoro su sentido de humor y el dibujo que hacen en los personajes, aun con sus caras graciosas e hilarantes.
Ahora esta historia se enfoca en Shibata una mujer de 29 años, con una mentalidad infantil que sale con un universitario al que hace regalos caros y ella espera un compromiso por parte de ese chico. Todo empeora con el cierre de la compañia donde trabaja, sin dinero y con los regalos caros a ese chico; no tiene idea de como sobrevivira. Hasta que se vuelve a reecontrar con su ex jefe, el cascarrabias y explotador que le hizo la vida imposible.
Pero el resulta ser su salvador, pues le da trabajo en una cafeteria con el como jefe, un lugar donde vivir y comienzan una divertida amistad conforme pasan los primeros capitulos.
Eso en resumen pasa este primer tomo, lleno de expresiones raras y comicas por Shibata, y algo que me gusto fue que comenzó haciendo "eso" de mantener a ese universitario con regalos y hasta dinero, pero pronto se da cuenta de su error. Si madura en ese sentido. Aunque si me enfurecio en un principio porque permitía que la usara.
Shunin su ex jefe y quien la ayuda es divertido con su sarcasmo, cinismo y amabilidad, hacia la protagonista. Es interesante ver como se llevan entre peleas, insultos y camaderia entre ellos.
Y hay otros personajes como los amigos de Shunin con cara de matones que asustaban a los clientes. Muy bueno este primer tomo!!!

Der Zeichenstil ist ziemlich weich und niedlich. Zudem recht detailliert, was mir richtig gut gefällt.
Ich war auch überrascht, dass es so einiges zu lesen gab und somit auch inhaltlich etwas bot. Der Schreibstil ist authentisch und treibt die Story gut voran.
Protagonisten
Michiko ist 29 Jahre alt, arbeitslos und lässt sich dennoch finanziell von einem Studenten ausnutzen. Manchmal hat man das Gefühl sie ist dumm, dafür jedoch aufrichtig und ambitioniert
Kurosawa war Michikos Vorgesetzter. Bis er etwas fand, was ihn wirklich zufrieden machte, ließ er seine ganze Wut an den anderen aus. Doch eigentlich ist er ein lieber Kerl.
Fazit
Beim Lesen habe ich direkt gemerkt, wie erfrischend es war eine Romance Story von Erwachsenen zu lesen.
Da ich einfach nie Klappentexte lese, war ich irgendwie vom Inhalt überrascht. Vieles, was passiert ist, fand ich witzig und auch cool umgesetzt. Außerdem empfand ich den Band als recht ereignisreich.
Die Charaktere sind speziell, aber haben alle einen gewissen Charme. Wobei ich bei Michiko sagen muss, dass sie immer ein wenig an der Grenze zum nervig sein, kratzt. Dennoch mag ich sie bisher und bin gespannt, wie es weiter geht.

I love this manga. Sure, it has that Main character that at first does not notice she's being used. But, she learns and starts to care for herself. I love MC like that. Enough of female characters that are weak and cannot defend themselves. We need more characters that accept their errors and they do something about it. Definitely a must read! Still waiting for more chapters, but overall great story so far!!!

I watched the dorama adaptation and love it so much, it was so funny. Reading this manga reminds me how much I love the characters. I love how no girl fights over boy thingy in this story even they like the same person and "don't judge people based on their look" message

Very entertaining. i realize this is a manga version of japanese drama which is starring by Kyoko Fukada (same tittle, i guess). The drama was a bit boring though, not to mention that her acting was so mediocre and awkward. But i reaaaally enjoyed the manga version. Funny and well written.

Cover:
Das Cover gefällt mir sehr gut. Es zeigt die Titelheldin, welche in den ganzen bunten Farben zwar ein bisschen verkitscht daherkommt, aber es wirkt niedlich und ist somit doch ansprechend, auch wenn es recht wenig über den Inhalt der Geschichte aussagt. Trotzdem mag ich es aber, vor allem, weil es erfrischend munter wirkt.
Eigener Eindruck:
Shibata Michiko ist komplett pleite, da sie all ihr Geld in einen berechnenden Toyboy gesteckt hat. Als Supergau ist auch noch ihre Firma Konkurs gegangen und so steht sie ohne etwas da. Bei einem Vorstellungsgespräch trifft sie auf den gemeinen Ayumi, der einst ihr Abteilungsleiter war und sie nicht einmal nett behandelt hat. Ihm erzählt sie in einer schwachen Minute von ihrem Unglück. Als dann auch noch eine ihrer Kolleginnen vor ihr heiratet, beginnt Michiko an ihrem Toyboy Yunta zu zweifeln. Für sie scheint alles auswegslos. Beim Einkaufen trifft Michiko wieder auf ihren ehemaligen Abteilungsleiter der sie mit in das Restaurant seiner kranken Großmutter nimmt und dort für sie kocht. Ehe sie sich versieht bekommt sie von ihm ein Angebot, das sie kaum ausschlagen kann. Gemeinsam wollen die beiden das Restaurant neu eröffnen, doch der Weg bis dahin ist steinig, denn Michiko muss sich noch etwas wegen ihren Schulden einfallen lassen…
Der erste Band von „Please love me“ ist ein wirklich grandioser Auftakt der Lust auf mehr macht. Es gibt jede Menge Informationen die erst einmal geordnet und verarbeitet werden müssen, doch wenn man erst einmal in der Geschichte drin ist, macht sie einfach nur Spaß – nicht zuletzt, weil der Autor wirklich nicht an humorvollen, aber auch ernsten Szenen gespart hat. Die Figur der Michiko ist ja an sich schon ein gebeuteltes Kind, aber sie will auch einfach nicht aus ihren Fehlern lernen, was den Leser bisweilen doch ein bisschen in die Verzweiflung treibt – aber auch eindrucksvoll zeigt, wie man es eben nicht machen sollte. Man kann also durchaus auch ein bisschen was über die Abgründe der Menschheit lernen und, dass man nicht immer gleich den Kopf in den Sand stecken sollte, denn es gibt immer einen kleinen Lichtblick. Dass sich zwischen Ayumi und Michiko wahrscheinlich recht schnell eine Romanze entwickeln wird, daran zweifle ich nicht. Ich bin nun also gespannt, wie es weiter geht und was die beiden Charaktere bis zu ihrem Ziel noch erleben werden. Die Zeichnungen sind übrigens ganz hübsch anzusehen, auch wenn ich der Meinung bin, dass da durchaus noch ein bisschen Luft nach oben ist. Aber in der Summe ist dieser erste Band einfach nur toll.
Fazit:
Ein toller Auftakt, der Lust auf mehr macht. Freunde der romantischen Mangakultur kommen hier voll und ganz auf ihre Kosten.

Michikos wunderbare Welt kracht zusammen, als sie mitbekommt, dass er nur wegen des Geldes mit ihr zusammen ist. Deprimierter Single mit Geldproblemen wollte sie in ihrem Alter eigentlich nicht mehr sein und deswegen macht sie sich auf die Suche nach einer neuen Stelle... und nach einem neuen Freund?

Das Cover gefällt mir sehr gut. Es zeigt die Titelheldin, welche in den ganzen bunten Farben zwar ein bisschen verkitscht daherkommt, aber es wirkt niedlich und ist somit doch ansprechend, auch wenn es recht wenig über den Inhalt der Geschichte aussagt. Trotzdem mag ich es aber, vor allem, weil es erfrischend munter wirkt.
Eigener Eindruck:
Shibata Michiko ist komplett pleite, da sie all ihr Geld in einen berechnenden Toyboy gesteckt hat. Als Supergau ist auch noch ihre Firma Konkurs gegangen und so steht sie ohne etwas da. Bei einem Vorstellungsgespräch trifft sie auf den gemeinen Ayumi, der einst ihr Abteilungsleiter war und sie nicht einmal nett behandelt hat. Ihm erzählt sie in einer schwachen Minute von ihrem Unglück. Als dann auch noch eine ihrer Kolleginnen vor ihr heiratet, beginnt Michiko an ihrem Toyboy Yunta zu zweifeln. Für sie scheint alles auswegslos. Beim Einkaufen trifft Michiko wieder auf ihren ehemaligen Abteilungsleiter der sie mit in das Restaurant seiner kranken Großmutter nimmt und dort für sie kocht. Ehe sie sich versieht bekommt sie von ihm ein Angebot, das sie kaum ausschlagen kann. Gemeinsam wollen die beiden das Restaurant neu eröffnen, doch der Weg bis dahin ist steinig, denn Michiko muss sich noch etwas wegen ihren Schulden einfallen lassen…
Der erste Band von „Please love me“ ist ein wirklich grandioser Auftakt der Lust auf mehr macht. Es gibt jede Menge Informationen die erst einmal geordnet und verarbeitet werden müssen, doch wenn man erst einmal in der Geschichte drin ist, macht sie einfach nur Spaß – nicht zuletzt, weil der Autor wirklich nicht an humorvollen, aber auch ernsten Szenen gespart hat. Die Figur der Michiko ist ja an sich schon ein gebeuteltes Kind, aber sie will auch einfach nicht aus ihren Fehlern lernen, was den Leser bisweilen doch ein bisschen in die Verzweiflung treibt – aber auch eindrucksvoll zeigt, wie man es eben nicht machen sollte. Man kann also durchaus auch ein bisschen was über die Abgründe der Menschheit lernen und, dass man nicht immer gleich den Kopf in den Sand stecken sollte, denn es gibt immer einen kleinen Lichtblick. Dass sich zwischen Ayumi und Michiko wahrscheinlich recht schnell eine Romanze entwickeln wird, daran zweifle ich nicht. Ich bin nun also gespannt, wie es weiter geht und was die beiden Charaktere bis zu ihrem Ziel noch erleben werden. Die Zeichnungen sind übrigens ganz hübsch anzusehen, auch wenn ich der Meinung bin, dass da durchaus noch ein bisschen Luft nach oben ist. Aber in der Summe ist dieser erste Band einfach nur toll.
Fazit:
Ein toller Auftakt, der Lust auf mehr macht. Freunde der romantischen Mangakultur kommen hier voll und ganz auf ihre Kosten.

Si je suis une habituée des shôjos, Please Love Me ! est le premier Josei que je lis. Pour les non-initiés, le Josei se différencie du shôjo par le simple fait qu’il évoque des sujets plus matures et s’adresse à un public généralement plus âgés. En tant que jeune adulte j’ai adoré lire ce manga qui aborde la cruauté du monde du travail et la solitude. En effet, la mangaka illustre les difficultés financières liées au chômage, le célibat à 30 ans et la place de la femme au Japon mais cela en gardant une touche d’humour. En effet, l’histoire va rester proche de la comédie en ce sens que Michiko va rencontrer son ancien chef et, dès lors, être entourée par de drôles de personnages.
J’ai adoré cette série de 10 tomes car j’ai énormément ri. Il faut dire que les loubards qui entourent Michiko et les situations dans lesquelles celle-ci se met sortent de l’ordinaire et ne peuvent laisser le lecteur insensible. De plus, contrairement aux shojos, la romance n’est pas précipitée et les choses s’installent petit à petit rendant le récit d’autant plus réaliste. Cependant, le seul point négatif que j’ai à souligner est le fait que le personnage principal m’a paru un peu fade et naïf. J’aurais aimé découvrir une femme un peu moins fleur bleue et mieux développée mais je me dis que celle-ci est représentative de la situation émotionnelle dans laquelle Michiko baignait suite à son licenciement. Un manga que je conseille à ceux qui veulent passer un bon moment !
