Luke Madsen loves women, he loves his bike, he loves his country, he loves his MC.
Kayla's too good for him, she's better than that lifestyle. She's sworn off bad boys and bikers forever and she won't go down that road again.
But when ex-Army Ranger and VP of the outlaw Suicide Kings MC ends up in her Emergency Room all bets are off.
His muscular physique, tolerance for pain, and bad ass attitude instantly break down every wall she ever put up. The tattoos inked on his back, arms, and chest tell the story of a truly ruthless and unforgiving life—especially the 130 red and black hash marks lining his biceps, each a shred of his blackened soul.
How could she fall for a criminal, an outlaw, a biker who's caught up in drugs, gangs, gun running, and murder? Their chance meeting is only the beginning and falling for him is the worst mistake she'll ever make.
This contemporary Biker romance contains graphic sexual content and violence. It is intended for mature readers.
When Brynn O 'Connor penned her first novel at the tender age of twelve it was so bad she put it away and didn't take a look at it for nearly 12 years. On a lark, on her 23 birthday, she decided to take it out and polish it up before sending it off too randomly selected publishers. The response she received was overwhelming:
"Dear Brynn, please don't waste anymore of our time..."
"Dear Ms. O 'Connor, please don't waste any more trees..."
"Dear Brynn O 'Connor, please don't!"
Needless to say Ms. O 'Connor abandoned her dream of writing in favor of a more practical approach to making a living having after receiving multiple bites from the acting bug, the singing bug, the painting bug and the golfing bug! But in the end they were all just multi colored splashes on the windshield of life and in the end she chose to marry rich and make babies.
The rich part didn't work out so well but she did end up with two beautiful boys named Ethan and Diego, and an abandoned cat named Chrissie who came by for a visit one day and never left. Turns out the husband was only temporary and the cat permanent; funny how life is.
Then one day Brynn began penning romance novels on the backs of rejection letters and the rest is history. She now lives in the beautiful San Francisco bay area where with the help of her cat she taps out her stories on her laptop and dreams of the day she can become an artist.
WORST BOOK I'VE EVER READ!!! To me there was no actually plot line and I felt as if there wasn't a clear introduction to any of the characters. It also seemed like with every "conflict" that occurred in the book someone ALWAYS had to have been killed off. which In my opinion it didn't give me any time to get to know the character... so I didn't feel bad after the death. The ending in my opinion wasn't really an ending, there are still many questions that have yet to be answered.
I'd love a good hot biker romance story.... and sad to say this one is not one of those.
Kayla, her character is not consistent. First, she sounded like she wanted to embrace the biker world... she went through a lot! Luke had given her a choice and she chose his world. After all she's been through all the acceptance and the training, she suddenly couldn't decide what she wants, the once tough character I liked about her was gone.
Luke, I wanted so much to feel for him but I don't know why I just couldn't. I feel like his character wasn't built solid enough for me to relate to him.
The story is all over the place and it felt like it was never gonna end. And it never did. Will their story continues on the next book? I have no idea. Hotness factor? It was close to none, well it didn't work for me. ;)
Disappointed. I could not connect with the characters. There is really no explanation for them to fall in love or lust.
SPOILER ALERT
The story didn't connect one minute the heroine is raped by her ex and than take a drive goes to Luke place and has wild sex with him....huh??? She is shot in the head but no rehab right back to work while Luke sinks into a drug and sex adventure for the next year. I didn't get it
I felt the author had a great story line and it was well written. Brynn O'Connor was able to hold and maintain my attention with the plot twists and turns. However what I hated most about it was the continuous narration. I think that's where the biggest fail is. I wanted more dialog and interaction. A build up of all the characters, to be inside their heads and see myself as one of them. Crazy but true, I wanted to be able to visualize myself in the storyline whenever I pick up a book. I wasn't able to develop any connections with the characters. They themselves had no depth or emotional ties, they came across as being shallow and weak, even though they are harden badasses with a lot of hatred. When the events would unfold as reader you would expect to feel something. Whether its rage, sorrow, pain and anguish; I felt none of these things. I kept saying just read a bit further and maybe the story will get better, because of how good the plot is. But nope, nuh huh, nothing! Its really sad because this MC book appeared to be full of potential. I'm sorry but I won't be recommending it to anyone.
When I found out that Brynn O'Connor had another motorcycle club novel out, I knew immediately I had to get my hands on it! And once again, I definitely wasn't disappointed at all! O'Connor has a way with words that completely attract you into her novels, making you become part of the story, and be captured by the character and stories. And, in Sons of Chaos, she managed to do this again!
Sons of Chaos is whole different spin on romance novels and has you from the get go. It's fast paced, gritty, and gets right down into the unruly world of the motorcycle club. It had everything a motorcycle cycle club romance novel needs, and more - violence, guns, murder, and sex. The main characters are easy to follow and easy to fall in love with. Just like Kayla falls for badass biker boy, Luke. Kayla has vowed to never fall for a biker boy, ever. But you she can't help falling for a specific biker boy who happens to hand on her ER table.
I recommend this book 100%! And even though it's a stand alone book, if Brynn does decide to write sequels, or even other biker novels, I'd buy them in a heartbeat!
Awful, just awful. Don't waste your time if it is even free. The sample of the first few pages I read over on Amazon made me think it would be decent but it was awful. I have read every single MC (motorcycle club) romance out there and this one had to be the worst. Author needs to take writing classes or something. She decides to write a MC romance and chooses the baddest of the bad, the one per centers and makes an absolute mess. She can describe violence but it is silly. She CANNOT write a good sex scene. She has the one per centers talking like country club guys but can describe the blood spatter good when someone gets their head blown off. She jerks you here and there and gives you whiplash. She has something out of every MC romance I have read in the last two years. And she was setting the stage for more by making it a cliffhanger.
Ok I read all the reviews on this, but I decided to read it for myself thinking it couldn't be as bad as some of the reviews read. I may have jumped the gun on that one. To me, the book really wasn't a romance about a guy and girl falling for each other, it was mostly about the MC club and what kind of stuff was going on in the club with a little of the H and h thrown in. Even though I found myself just skimming because I got tired of all the MC club stuff and was losing interest, I still kept thinking it wasn't as bad as one of the reviews I read said it was, until I got toward 70 or 80% into the book (after the hospital incident). It then became confusing, weird, and just plain crazy. There were some parts when you didn't know if it was really happening or she was dreaming until you kept on reading for a while. Oh, not to mention the big cliffhanger.
Normally I'm all for biker romance books, but this book just didn't really do it for me. I mean Luke I liked him, "oh, hell no, Doc. You really gonna make me pee while a dude holds my dong?" And I liked Kayla and her brass balls, "if you're going to spend that much time staring at me," she says, interrupting his thoughts, "you could at least warn me, so I could fix my hair and straighten my bra or something." Luke is cocky, "you'll date me. You can't stand the fact that I won't tell you what they mean. You'll date me if for no other reason then to satisfy your curiosity," he says with a smug smile on his face." To me it just didn't hit the spot I enjoyed the story and some of the characters but I don't know what it was missing.
Ok so I'm not one to really think a book is bad. But this one was bad... There were just to many loose ends. And to many people killed off before you could really become attached to them. I mean her ex boyfriend belongs to the rival bikers club and he kicks the you know what out of him in the beginning of the book and nothing happens to Luke because of it. Come on! I highly doubt her ex would just leave her alone after the scene in her apartment with the pepper spray. That story line could have been played up so much more and I think I would have been much more interested if they story line was club vs. club instead of father and son. The ending was disappointing too. I can't believe it just ended on a cliff hanger like that.

WTH was this foolishness. I was through with this book after her ex smacked her outside of the hospital and Luke came to her rescue by beating the guys ass. Then Luke asked her if she wanted to go out for coffee and she said sure.... Now even though she did not go to have coffee with him, the simple fact that they were flirting just seconds after she was smacked did not set well with me. I literally skipped to the last chapter so I could be done.... Horrible book. Just awful. It was rushed and was a complete knock off of Sons Of Anarchy!!! SMH!!!!! Never will read another book by this author if this is any indication of what the rest of her book are like.
I have never in my life read something so dumb. at first it was pretty good a little humor and cute. then it got dumb then it got so stupid I wanted my money back. first the details of what Luke does is boring and nobody cares. and Kayla, omg stupid, after she makes Luke tell her about what he does ,,which is kills she goes and says fine but next time you go on a hit I'm going with you...what???? More like wtf!!! didn't finish it after her arguing to go with him on his kills. so freaking stupid.Don't waste your money.
Bad ... really really bad. Story was boring and not thought through. Writing was horrible. And I mean absolute catastrophe. I thought about giving it two stars, because the second halve of the book was better than the first but no. I couldn't.
It was such a waste of time. I had to actually put my kindle down several times because I couldn't continnue reading, I was that annoyed.
Please do yourselves a favour and don't read this book!
Ok so I almost never give a low rating but this book was very disappointing. The story was all over, lots of jumping and skipping key elements to make it flow together. Every time I found myself getting really into the story it would just drop off. The worst had to be the last 3 chapters... I am sure I will still check out the next book in this series in hopes it will be better. :(
I had really high hopes for this book. Unfortunately it was a little all over the place for me. Big alpha male biker, check! Strong female character, check! Weird combination of the events. I did like hearing rider and Max's Story growing up I thought that that was really well written and also it made me want to read Maxis story. I hope the next book will reach me better
3.5 stars. Love the characters of Luke and the MC Members. But I honestly didn't get this book. Why I gave 3.5 stars. Come one look at that cover, Yummilicious! Dayum, that back, F-in Kissable, mmm.. I did read it, but I am more confused. I apologize to the author if my review is wrong.
I love my MC books. But this one was kinda all over the place. And the ending left hanging soooooooooo BAD!!!!!! I hope another comes out and answer all the left overs from this one. I mean really, you say this is a stand alone and leave everyone hanging with a ending like that.
Worst book ever, the writing was all over the place and it just did not flow. No connection between them as the author didn't really go into much detail when it came to their love and sex, did they have sex must have been that boring.
