I wrote my first book when I was in high school--a romance called "A Wild and Stormy Passion," which featured swordplay, kidnapping, a pirate heroine, and lots of naughty bits (that came entirely from my adolescent imagination!). Since then, I've written young adult novels and adult romances of the category, contemporary, and fantasy varieties. My books are romantic and sensual. I like strong women and strong men and the sparks that fly when they get together.

I am a dabbler and an emotional sponge. I can't read scary books or anything with an unhappy ending. I reserve the right to enjoy country music, puppies, true love, and happily ever after.

If you're perusing my Goodreads shelves, you should know I only review books I want to share the word about. If you ask me, life's too short to read something you don't enjoy.

Kira Butler deals with her beloved aunt's recent death by focusing on her art studio, where the members of the small community of Passion Creek come to paint their own ceramics. Though she's never forgotten Max Estin, the love of her life, she certainly never expects to see him again. He's now a world-renowned artist and international playboy, and she knows there is no way he could ever forgive her for leaving him with absolutely no warning back when they were in college five years ago. When a collection of drawings that Max made of Kira when they were together are bequeathed to Max in her aunt's will, Kira knows the only way to keep them out of the press is for her to beg Max not to sell them.

Max never understood what happened to make Kira leave him so suddenly, and she's the last person he expects to hear from out of the blue. Though he's the darling of the art world, he's hit a creative block. Agreeing to consider not selling the pictures, Max ultimately has another plan in mind for his muse.
That's when everything changed.

That's when he realized he could purge her from his memory at the same time he punished her for walking away.

All he had to do was make love to her.

The plan was diabolically simple. He would seduce her, little by little. He would make her want him as deperately as he'd wanted her, and then he'd walk away. Leave her behind just as she'd left him.

I loved Kira and Max's chemistry, in present day and in the flashbacks we get to see of them. I especially loved the car sex:
"I don't think I'll fit," she whispered, trying to tuck her knees on either side of his hips, hitting the emergency brake on one side and the door handle on the other.

"I think you'll fit," he said, nuzzling her neck, giving her a tiny bite.

She giggled. "Max, stop it!"

...

She leaned her forehead against his shoulder, smother a gasp into his neck. He moved his grasp lower, under her skirt, finding the naked skin of her buttocks and pulling her more tightly against him.

"Fuck me," he breathed into her ear. "I can't move."

I loved the history that these two shared and the fact that Max didn't hesitate to call Kira out for being a chicken.
"There's a place between fear and bravery."

I didn't really understand the reason that Kira didn't tell Max why she was leaving; sure, she explained it, but I didn't buy it. Neither did he, and I'm really glad about that. It doesn't take long for them to realize that they can't just turn their feelings off like a light switch.
"You were my compass, and without you I was lost."

I love reunion stories so much, and Reforming the Playboy was was heartfelt, sweet, and hot. I definitely recommend.

I’m going to admit up front that I almost didn’t read this book because of the title. I really didn’t want to read about some arrogant thinks he’s God’s gift to women guy who suddenly finds the girl who could tame him. But, having read Inara Scott’s last release, I couldn’t help but pick this one up and read it and boy am I glad I did. The title however is all wrong, it should be something more along the lines of Cornering the Shy Girl or Unveiling the Artist or maybe just Always on My Mind. Yes, this is a reunited lovers story and they didn’t part on good terms. Now five years later he has the power to ruin the life she’s built and he’s decided that revenge is just what he’s after.

Unfortunately, life has other plans for them. Tantalizing, smart, and sexy are all words that describe Reforming The Playboy, but it’s also a look at realizing your dreams, confronting fears, and slaying past demons to move forward with your life.

After five years apart Kira Butler is going to have to face the one person she never thought she’d see again; the love of her life, her ex-college boyfriend the now famous artist, Max Estin. Even worse he has the power to embarrass her beyond belief and ruin her career and her life in one swoop. Max has other plans before that though; he plans on hurting Kira just like she did when she left him five years earlier.

From the beginning it was easy to sense the restlessness and vulnerability in Kira. She’s just lost the one person who was a constant during the majority of her life and that person set in motion something Kira has no control over. She’s hurt, she’s scared, and she really doesn’t want to face her past. At times I felt sympathy for her but at other times I couldn’t help but wonder why she refused to open herself up more. At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like Max but he won me over quickly. It was hard not to mourn with him over the loss of his muse and feel his frustration. It was also very clear that neither he nor Kira had ever completely gotten over the other.

I always enjoy stories where the main characters have a past; it adds to the interest and makes it easier to accept when they jump into bed quickly. There was no denying these two knew each other well but both mentally and physically. When all else failed, they were always able to communicate on the physical level. That’s not to say they didn’t end up hashing out their past or offering up opinions of where they had gone wrong in their lives.

I really appreciated that Max didn’t have an immediate breakthrough that he had to work to regain his ability to create. That Kira was able to start him on the road but Max had to figure out how he wanted to get there. I like that Max pushed Kira to move out of her comfort zone and gave her credit for the talent that she had.

Reforming The Playboy is another fine offering from Inara Scott. Her characters have depth, the dialog is smart and engaging, and the romance and intimate scenes are well done. After two very strong books, I’ve placed her on my must buy list.

I recently read my first book by Inara Scott, Falling for Mr. Wrong, and I loved it and couldn't wait to read more from this author. Needless to say, I jumped at the chance to read Reforming the Playboy and participate in the release event.

Kira and Max Estin were college sweethearts who were totally in love with each other. Max comes from a poor background and didn't have a very good family life. His art has always been his escape, and his dream was to make it big time as an artist, all the while assuming Kira was on board and headed in the same direction as he was. Kira is from Passion Creek Colorado. She was abandoned by her mother as a child and raised by her Aunt Polly. She went off the college at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), mainly at her Aunt Polly's request. Kira is really a very shy person, a people pleaser and peacekeeper by nature. When she was with Max, nothing else mattered. When a situation arises that requires her to go back home to Passion Creek, she leaves without saying goodbye, just a note that is rather vague, leaving a very wounded, confused, and angry Max behind, while enduring her own heartbreak. Now five years later, and Max and Kira are forced to see each other again because of circumstances beyond either of their control. Neither is the person they used to be. Max is a multimillionaire and has hit the big time, but he's also not happy. Kira has put her talent aside, opting to run a pottery business. When fate, a snow storm, and a set of forgotten drawings throw them back together again, they are forced to reexamine their feelings, their passion, their desires, their past, and their future.

I liked both Kira and Max's characters. Max initially comes across as arrogant and as a player, but when you get to know him, he really isn't that much of a player, but has allowed the circumstances of the past and the intoxication of fame and money seduce him into a lifestyle that didn't provide all the things that he'd dreamed fame and money would bring. Kira is a wonderful person and I really liked her, but her own fears have held her bound in the what is, rather than venturing out into the what could be. Both of the characters have been shaped by their past, have endured painful situations, and have hurt each other, leaving them very vulnerable.

Reforming the Playboy is a wonderfully written romance that is filled with passion and second chances, set in the beautiful Colorado mountains. Inara Scott provides just the right amount of steam, romance, and humor in a story that will make you smile and root for the characters to find their happily ever after. There is also a beautiful epilogue, which is very satisfying. Overall, I enjoyed Reforming the Playboy very much and if you are a contemporary romance fan, then this is a lighthearted and entertaining read that is perfect for a day you want to just kick back, relax, and disappear into a story.

This book was great little romance read. It fairly short and I managed to read it in one sitting.

The story is about Kira and Max who were college sweethearts before Kira left suddenly to care for her sick aunt. Kira left Max with out a real explanation other than this isn't working for me, now 5 years later through her aunts will Kira and Max are reunited however this stirs up new and old emotions. Max sees the reunion as an opportunity to get revenge on Kira however it is obvious that there is still a strong attraction between the pair. Can Max forgive Kira for leaving 5 years ago and can Kira finally let see one into her heart without fear that they will abandon her?

When I saw the title of the book I thought Max would be a real player however other than the odd brief reference to playboy like actions on Max's part since they split, Max didn't come across as a playboy but just an artist who was struggling to find inspiration since he was involved in a accident a year prior to Max and Kira being reunited.

It did take me a little while to connect the characters in the book. The story did flow well and is well written. Its a great little romance story about second chance love.

The only thing I would have liked was maybe a little more from the epilogue is was fairly short and I was left feeling like I wanted more.

Reforming the Playboy is a second-chance romance between Kira and Max, who fell in love during college, but then she left him one night with just a note. Five years later, Max is an internationally known artist, and Kira is back in her hometown where she had been taking care of her sick aunt. Now, Aunt Polly is dead, and her will has some questionable yet specific terms which require Max and Kira to come face to face for the first time in years. Neither are happy about it, and the reunion certainly doesn't go as either of them planned.

I enjoyed Reforming the Playboy. It has a bit of my favorite trope--stranded together! Of course, it's been snowing, so Max is forced to stay in town longer than he anticipates. He also "has" to stay with Kira for a bit, because of course he does. It's all part of his plan for revenge though! But we all know how that goes. This man is far too emotional to seduce and dump his true love. As soon as he's inside her, it's over. He's gone. Not to say that they don't have some drama, because they do. It's more like all of the words they left unsaid in college come exploding out, and they have to figure out how to put the past behind them.

Reforming the Playboy is less about reforming a playboy and more of comforting the tortured artist. Max was heartbroken, has an estranged family, and was in a car accident that left him completely uninspired. Being back with his teenage love sparks something inside him, which gets his career back on track. He also helps Kira with her own artistic fears. In the end, it's a pretty standard small town, second-chance romance with a side of angst.

This is an emotional heartwarming and very sensual story as past lovers Kira and Max reunite. Kira and Max are both artists and went to college together Max excelled with his painting but Kira who is quiet and shy was always afraid. When Kira leaves college with just a note to Max he is hurt but he carries on with his life and makes a lot of money through his art Kira moves back home where she is comfortable to care for Polly her guardian. But when Polly dies she ensures through her will that Max and Kira are reunited because of some drawings that Max had done of Kira while they were at college these are erotic and very personel. But when they meet up again that electricity is still there and still very strong but both Max and Kira have a lot to overcome to get to their HEA. I loved this one and I highly recommend it

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

It only took me 8 years to read this.... eek. But I finally got to it and I liked this story. Max and Kira do not know how to communicate their real, true feelings and thoughts, which made for a long 5 years apart. They also had pretty rough childhoods, which didn't help their trust levels when they grew up.

I really love Kira's little Colorado Town. Reminds me a bit of my small town.

I really enjoyed this novel and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it!

Reforming the Playboy is the first book I have ever read by Inara Scott. I knew that this was the first book of hers I wanted to read after seeing that it was a second chance love story. I am glad I took the chance on a new to me author with this book, as I really liked this story. It was a quick and interesting read, and I didn't want to put it down until I had read every last word. If this story is anything to go by, I will be reading much more from Scott in the future.

When Kira's aunt passes away, she finds out that her aunt left a strange stipulation in her will that will bring back the man she never thought she would see again. Kira thought that she had thrown away a set of drawings that Max had done of her, but her aunt found them in the trash and kept them. In order to keep them from being donated and displayed publicly, Kira and Max must meet in person and sign paperwork to claim ownership of them. But getting Max to agree takes a bit of convincing on Kira's part. Since Kira left him broken hearted five years before, he has become a world renowned artist and is living in Tuscany. After suffering an accident, he has been having a creative block and decides to go and see her one last time to finally move on. Once Max and Kira are face to face though, old feelings resurface and soon they experiencing the same passion they felt before. Kira and Max begin spending time together and soon he is back to creating again. But with secrets still between them as well as years apart, can they find their way back to each other?

I really liked Kira and Max. Max was complex and passionate. He was motivated to be successful from growing up poor and he was determined to make something of himself. But along the way he lost who he was and was missing part of what made him the passionate artist that he was when he first started. I loved watching him find his way back, and I think that he really needed Kira in his life to help him be the best man that he could. Kira was sweet and vulnerable. She made some really poor choices, but you could tell that her reasons were not her out trying to be mean or hurtful. She was doing what she thought she had to in order to let him fulfill his dreams and also what she needed to do for herself as well. I loved seeing her stand up for Max and how she was protective of him. I thought that they were great together and even though there was a lot of history and hurt feelings between them, they really brought out the best in each other. They had an undeniable connection and a ton of chemistry.

Overall, I thought that this was a great story. Max and Kira were perfect for each other, and I enjoyed reading about their journey. These two characters had a lot of depth and they grew a lot both individually as well as together. I really liked how they both realized in the end that they were not ready for a future together when they were first together. I loved seeing them finally open up fully to each other and really get to know who the other person is. I think that their relationship was so much stronger because of everything that they had been through and I was really glad that they got the ending that they deserved. This book was a great read about an enduring love that was meant to be despite a lot of things that were standing in their way. I would definitely recommend this story for any romance reader, especially those that love a second chance at love. I can't wait to read more from Inara Scott in the future.

Given the role that the weather plays in this novel, it felt especially appropriate that I read it on a day that we had a "cold" day off from school. It was perfect to read all snuggled up with a nice, warm beverage on a blustery day!

This was my first novel from Inara Scott--who I found out from the blurb at the back of the book was also born in Buffalo, too cool!--but I'll definitely be reading more from her, and soon. There were layers here—to both the story and its characters—that weren't immediately apparent as you read. The need to reveal the truth behind Max and Kira's breakup five years earlier kept me snuggled under the covers and turning pages quickly.

On the surface, this seemed to be a simple second-chance at love story in which their first chance was ruined by a simple misunderstanding, one that should have been easy to remedy. That—and the somewhat silly title—might have kept me from picking this one up in the first place. But, as I mentioned, I was snowed in—and noticed that the characters were going to be as well—so I figured it clearly was meant to be.

I am so glad I gave it a chance.

When the reasons for Kira's leaving Max without any explanation are finally revealed (I'll admit, not until I spent a lot of time asking her why she didn't explain it all to him earlier!) I absolutely understood why she made the choices she had made. I was afraid when the explanation came that it would seem lame or forced, but it really didn't—actually, it broke my heart a little to hear Kira's reasons.

Both Kira and Max had made mistakes in the past and were making even more the second time around. Inara Scott did a fantastic job of allowing them to grow and change, realizing their shortcomings and righting their wrongs—without resorting to convenient plot devices or easy fixes.

The chemistry between these two characters in fantastic; I especially loved the scenes where they were creating art—both the tame and the sexy ones! I thought the author did a great job showing the creative process and the frustrations that Max felt when he was unable to create.

The one aspect of the novel that I wasn't crazy about was the blatant manipulation that Kira's aunt put into action to bring the two back together again. It felt overly manipulative, and I had a hard time believing that she'd want to risk her niece's happiness on the good will of a guy she (the aunt) had never met. It seemed like a pretty big risk to take, given the nature of the pictures that she was holding hostage—it could all have gone so horribly wrong if Max had been a different kind of guy. It almost did go so horribly wrong. Really, though, the rest of the novel was so well done that I can forgive the over-the-top machinations that got the plot moving in favor of the happily-ever-after they achieved.

The title, though, really has to go. This book is so much more than its rather insipid moniker implies!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Inara Scott has blown me away with REFORMING THE PLAYBOY. A friend offered an extra copy to me and boy, am I glad I accepted and took a chance on a new to me author. I really love second chance love stories and RTP grabbed my heart right from the start.

Kira and Max fell deeply in love in college and spent the better part of a year essentially inseparable until without any explanation Kira breaks it off and leaves school. Max is devastated when she won't return his calls, but eventually accepts it's over. He goes on to become a world famous artist and playboy living and partying in New York, Paris, London and Tuscany.

Kira left school to head back to her home town and care for her beloved Aunt Polly who had raised her from the time she was abandoned by her mother at eight years old. But she doesn't tell Max this or that she still loves him, she only tells him they aren't right for one another and he should pursue his dreams without her.

Ms. Scott introduces us to Kira and Max five years after their breakup. Both have gone on to build successful lives apart but they are now both at a very low point, devastated by recent events. Max has lost his muse and Kira has lost her aunt. But bless Aunt Polly's heart she knows Kira never got over Max so in her last act of love for Kira she makes a requirement in her will that forces Max and Kira to face each other in hopes they will work things out.

I have to say this book made me laugh and it made me cry (in sadness and in joy). The emotions Kira and Max dealt with were so raw and real. The second chances in this book were not only for Max and Kira to find each other again, but to find their selves again. Ms. Scott gives them each a chance to rise from the ashes, so to speak, and their struggles and their journey are a grand read. There was just so much depth to each of them you couldn't help but love them both and wish all the misunderstandings would go away so they could finally be together, but Ms. Scott doesn't make it that easy. There are ups and downs. And in between there are secondary characters who do a wonderful job of helping them along and rounding out the story. They both were so obviously in love and both so afraid to be vulnerable again. So of course, in fighting their feelings they fought each other. The humor and the banter was fun, and the emotional intensity merely brought out their passion and desire for one another.

Reforming the Playboy is one of the best romance books I've read in awhile. This story of true and enduring love touched me deeply and drew me into the hearts of the characters in a way very few books are capable of doing. And not because there was all that much angst or issues beyond the insecurities brought on by an unstable childhood to deal with, but just because it is that well written and real. Their love and need for each other felt tangible and the ending was gratifying with a sweet epilogue.

I rate Reforming the Playboy whole-heartedly with five stars and recommend it to anyone who loves a touching heartfelt romance.

Kira had left five years ago without really saying goodbye to Max. She left without explaining why she needed to go and leave him. She had returned home to Passion Creek so suddenly without him knowing the reasons why. But she needed to, she was needed badly back home. No matter how painful it was for the both of them, she had let go.

Internationally-renowned artist Max Estin had reached the pinnacle of his career. He was one of the most sought-after artist of his generation, he was rich, he had all the money in the world, he had homes in New York and Tuscany, he was living THE LIFE: partying and having different women in his arms every night. BUT nothing prepared him from having an artist’s block. No matter how much he tried, how much time he spent in front of the blank canvass, he couldn’t make himself paint to save his career.

A set of private sketches, and one heck of a last will have brought this two souls together. He didn’t want to see her – she didn’t want to see him, but out of desperation she sought him out. She needed him. He wanted revenge. The moment their eyes met after five years, sparks flew, hearts thumped, passion ignited, it was like they have never separated. But Kira knew he would never stay, and Max needed to know what went wrong between them. Will they finally take this chance and risk to fall in love the second time? Or will they let their past get in the way?

I loved Kira, despite the fact that she wasn’t really the type of girl who took the risks. She was loyal to a fault and didn’t turn her back to the person who cared most for her when she was needed. For that alone, my heart went out to her. Max, on the other hand, seemed to have lost his way why he was an artist in the first place. He needed not just a muse, but a reason to find his way back into creating something worthy. Their love for each other was already palpable, but who was willing to take the risk when both of them has been burnt before?

The beginning has already had me hooked with the sudden twist of fate for the both of them to meet once again. The ending? OMG. I have no idea it could be just as perfect as how it started.

Swoon!!!! I have stayed until the wee hours of the morning to finish this one. I always have a soft spot for second chances. I have always loved reading the stories of old couples getting back together, the love much stronger, and the make-up sex which is completely off the charts. Reforming the Playboy definitely lived up to my expectations. This was a short sweet read, a perfect bedtime story for all readers who have soft spots for second-chance romances!

This book hooked me from the first page. I loved it. Yes there were times I wanted to slap the characters, but they got over their issues and went back to loveable again. The ex lovers trope is a favourite of mine and this one fits nicely into my bookshelf for future rereading.

Max and Kira were wonderful characters. Max with his artists block and Kira with her people pleasing ways. Yes Max came off as a bit arrogant at first but you quickly see there is more to him and that while yes he is carrying some baggage, once he sheds it a whole different Max appears. As for Kira, she is the type of character you would want as a friend in real life. Not just because she can't say no to the people in her town, but she is a generous soul who puts aside her dream to live the one of the person who took her in at a vulnerable time.

We get to see them go grow and change throughout the story, sometimes in ways where the aforementioned slap was ready to be invoked. But I liked seeing the changes, especially the big change at the end of the story, it made me finish the book with a contented sigh.

When internationally renowned artist Max Etsin is summoned to the town of Passion Creek to pick up a series of portraits left to him by Kira's aunt, his plan was to get in, pick it up, seduce Kira, make her want him then dump her, giving her a taste of her own medicine and not look back. But things don't always go to plan.

Kira knows plans don't always work out how they are supposed to. She walked away form Max five years ago never thinking she would see him again. But Polly had other ideas. Now she has to deal with Max. In person, her worst nightmare.

When the ex lovers meet up again the sparks immediately begin to fly. When they give into the passion that is still there, something unlocks in Max. His artistic block starts to crack thanks to his muse. But can Kira let her secrets block what can be a wonderful new start to an old passion or can Max break through her barriers and become her inspiration ?

This book was a fantastic read, I found it hard to put down and read most of it in one sitting.
I'm relatively new to Inara Scott, but after reading this and another of her books from the Entangled Indulgence Publishing line, I'm going back for a Scott binge and putting this author on my auto buy list.

Posted on What I'm Reading

Let me just say, that I have never been let down by a Inara Scott book. I love her writing and she's pretty amazing writer. With that said let me share her latest jewel of a story, Reforming the Playboy. First off, I'm not a fan of second chance love stories. However, Reforming the Playboy had me laughing, crying, and going WOW. Anyway, let take a visit to Passion Creek.

When Kira Butler was a student at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), she fell in love with Max Estin. However, she was afraid to give him the full truth, so instead she left the cowards way and headed back to Passion Creek. Five years later, she needs to see Max, because Aunt Polly knew they had unfinished business. Man the power people have beyond the grave. Don't worry there is no ghost, just a smart lady who decided take matters into her own hands before she died. Anyway. Max decides to take his revenge on Kira for leaving him all those years ago by trying to seducing her and leaving her after he has succeeded. Yeah, sounds like a great guy.

What makes this a great story? Actually the vulnerabilities of both characters. Kira has trust issues that stem from abandonment issues. Funny how those go hand in hand. While Max is trying to escape from his poor past. So, they both have to work on their issues, and workout the past. I truly loved Reforming the Playboy, because you this couple who are right for each other, but have a hard time letting go of the past. Then you have the town who is looking out for Kira, because they love her so much. Probably a little too much, but hey that's the life of a small town.

Seriously, Reforming the Playboy is a great read as I said. It's one of those stories I want to shout out and say "BUY IT". Or have the urge to give the whole story away, because I can't keep it in. So, if you are looking for a small town story that will wow you, you might want to give Reforming the Playboy a go.

I found Reforming the Playboy to be a short sweet romance. Though it isn't long, it is packed full of goodness. It is a story of second chances and Fate bringing people back together in unexpected ways.

Kira and Max are old sweethearts who are reunited years after separating due to Kira's Aunt Polly's will. When Kira left Max, it was without an explanation and she really doesn't want to see him again, but because of the stipulations of the will, she has no other choice.

I'll admit when I first started the story, and the will came up, I was thinking not another crazy clause story. But this isn't your typical story, and the plot was absolutely unique. Plus it made the rest of the story so much more fun!

To say Kira was upset with her aunt's directives was an understatement. It was definitely interesting to watch how things unfolded. What was supposed to be a fast, easy meeting between Max and Kira to settle things doesn't go as planned. It seems like everything wants to manipulate them together including the weather.

I found Max endearing from the start, even when he was grumpy. I loved that he decided to turn the tables on Kira when she wasn't expecting it. Kira is very defensive when Max first re-enters her life, which of course added a dash of extra "fun". I love that things didn't really go the way Kira and Max initially plan them going upon meeting up with each other. Watching these two rekindle their past romance was an amusing ride.

I enjoyed every moment of this story, so much that I finished it in one sitting. I kept telling myself one more chapter, one more page and then I was done.

Inara Scott has created a wonderful cast of characters in this new series. I can't wait to read more from Passion Creek.

Given by the author for an honest review for her Blog Tour

It is one the most inspirational books I have ever read in my entire life! It’s such a powerful story and the characters in it are so real. It’s outstanding!

Calling this book even inspirational is an understatement. It makes you rethink every decision you’ve ever made and reconsider every path you’ve ever taken in your life.

Reforming the playboy is one of the most meaningful books I’ve read in a while.

I absolutely adored it and 5 stars are not enough to rate this book. I’m practically in tears right now, as I’m watching my life as a movie in my head. It’s unbelievable how much this book has affected me.

However, I would like to say that the title is not quite appropriate for the book. The book is too substantial and deep to be called this way. This is not a typical romance, when you see the female lead change the playboy and turn him into a monogamist. This book is about dreams. It’s about what happens when someone follows them, but loses his way somewhere in the future. It’s about the life of a person who doesn’t have the courage to pursue them. It’s about when those 2 people come together and fall in love with each other once more, as both of them turn into the people both are destined to become. So, reforming the playboy sounds too mediocre of a title for this amazing book.

This book is one of the most outstanding ones out there. Avid readers read so many books that they often forget what they’ve read. It’s quite common. You may like that romance or that contemporary book, but it didn’t change your life. Reforming the playboy is life-altering.

It’s outstanding and Inara Scott, you are an amazing woman and a brilliant writer and I’m happy that I was part of this tour.

The phrase “Must-Read” was created for books like this one.

Five years have passed. Kira must now face Max against her will to prevent nude drawings of herself from being sold to the highest bidder and displayed publicly. The Belle Femme collection was the ultimate demonstration of Max's love for Kira, and now, these charcoal drawings are bringing them back together again.

All this time, Max has harbored a deep anger and disillusionment against Kira. She abandoned him without much of an explanation after a one year relationship. Now is his turn to teach her how much it hurt to be dumped by her. Kira and Max must come to terms with their past. The undeniable attraction between them has survived five years of isolation and loneliness, and becomes the driving force in this story.

Focus is on the impact of selling out and running away from your dreams. Both actions will deeply affect our characters with ramifications far more complicated than they can foresee. Extreme ambition or cowardice to life can hurt your loved ones, even when you may be protecting them.

This is a profound love story and both Kira and Max must make the effort to understand and accept who they have become and start rebuilding from there.

In her unique storytelling style, Inara Scott allows us to journey with these characters in search for answers and a happily ever after. Their artistic gifts and their stubborn resolve will be tested to the limit. Dreams long forgotten become alive again. In the end, two souls will find their balance and embrace a future that is meant to be. Loved this story. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Kira loves art and she loves her life or so she thought. She is living her life by someone else's book. She does things just to please other people, and she never shows her work in fear of being criticized. Then her college boyfriend comes back into her life and changes everything. He is everything she could never dream of and now he is questioning the way she chose to live her life. Now she has to decide if she is who she wants to be or who she is expected to be. Is she letting her fear hold her back? Can she let Max into her heart?

Max is exactly where he thought he wanted to be, and it not at all what he expected. He is under a lot of pressure to produce his next piece. He can barely concentrate, and to make matters worse he needs to go see his college sweetheart who broke his heart. The longer he is in Passion Creek the more he realizes he isn't completely over Kira, but he is starting to realize that he never really knew her and what she shows the world really isn't who she is. Now he is starting to re-evaluate their past relationship when secrets start to resurface. Can he have her or will he lose her a second time?

I absolutely loved this book! It was so entertaining, I just couldn't put it down. I love books that contain both characters Point of views and this one was perfect! The story captivated me just as much as the characters. Inara did an incredible job with this book, It is definitely five star worthy!

3.5 Stars.

The only thing I would have liked was maybe a little more from the epilogue is was faily short and I was left feeling like I wanted more.

I might have really enjoyed this romance featuring two people finding their way back to each other and their art, had it not started with some seriously uncomfortable blackmail.

Kira's aunt, who was her guardian, has passed away before the book starts, and she puts Kira into this awful position wherein some very revealing drawings of her, done by her former lover Max, are going to be made public if Max and Kira don't reconnect in person to exchange the images. This premise made me SO UNCOMFORTABLE. That Kira's aunt would first, create even the possibility of the images going public, and second, have the other option be handing the images over to Kira's ex.... The whole scenario made me cringe. If Kira had been even the slightest bit comfortable with having other people see the images, it might have been okay, but then I suppose it wouldn't have worked to force the meeting.

Otherwise, I think without that bit of blackmail held over Kira's head, this was a pretty sweet romance that was a lot about facing fear to find oneself.

If you can get past the scenario forcing the reunion, this one is worth picking up. See my complete review at TO Each Their Own Reviews

This is the fourth book of Inara Scott's I have read in the space of a month and when given the opportunity to read this as an ARC, I wasted no time as she has proven thrice over that she can deliver an easy-reading, captivating, sexy romance with characters to fall in love with. And Reforming the Playboy is no different. I loved it.

Kira and Max were college sweethearts, she abandoned him and he became a successful artist clueless as to why she did so. His life revolves around wealth, women and fast cars, hers in quiet Passion Creek running a pottery painting studio for school kids. Several years down the line and fate takes the form of a deceased Aunt and some nude art...

Romance, wit and sexiness is perfectly balanced with hurt and regret and Kira and Max' journey is heartfelt, intimate and passionate with an injection of frustrating and heart wrenching moments. There is more to their story than one of lost loves being reacquainted and I went from smiling, sighing and swooning over our slightly arrogant but oh so sexy artist, to feeling his and Kira's pain and sadness.

Passion Creek certainly lives up to it name; Reforming the Playboy had everything I want from a good romance and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I received this ARC from the publisher for an honest review . Reforming the Playboy is the story of Kyra and Max they met at a very prestigious art college , he was the hot popular guy trying his best to run away from his life at home and becoming the next " It " artist , she was the shy girl with secrets of her own , despite their differences they fall madly in love and spend a year together until tragedy strikes Kyra's life and she returns home to care for her aunt , the one who took her in when she was a little girl and her mother left her without looking back . Leaving a very broken hearted Max behind just with a small note saying "sorry it wasn't working out for me " 5 years later thanks to her aunt's will this two are force to face each other and their feelings . Ohh how much they want to rip each other's clothing get hot and heavy and satiate the burning passion that they both still feel . He wants revenge , she wants to make love to him one more time , both afraid of rejection and heartbreak . But in the end love heals it all . Reforming a Playboy a very romantic , sexy reading . Don't miss it , I enjoyed it from beginning to end .

This was a sweet read and it didn't take me long to devour it.

The story is based mostly on Kira's past insecurities and the fact that she has lived her life in the safe zone, pushing people away before they could leave and hurt her like her own mother did.

Max, a struggling artist has not painted anything since his accident and is not exactly happy when he finds he has to go to Passion Creek to see his old flame.

Things move fast for this couple and they soon find themselves back to the passion they formally had, but finding out new things about the other that they had never noticed before, finding that perhaps they hadn't been perfect for each other before.

The last five years have changed both of them and they are now able to talk about what they couldn't before and find a new respect for each other. Each are told things that are hard to hear and have a little soul searching to do.

Each book i have picked up by Inara Scott has been a book that I have devoured and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I thought this was going to be a simple reunion type book but it was surprisingly deeper. Kira and Max were in love in college. They thought they had the perfect relationship until one day Kira left and moved back home. Kira had done it to take care of her sick Aunt that had raised her but never shared it with Max.

When her aunt died, we will required Max to come to Passion Creek to take ownership of items willed to him. He's not happy about it, but once he sees her and realizes the attraction is still there, he figures it's his chance to rekindle their relationship and be the one to leave this time.

It's taken Kira a long time to get over Max, so she wants as little to do with him as possible. She's comfortable, which she mistakes for happy. Once together, she tries to keep her distance, but Max is persistent. She truly loved his art, and thinks she can help him create for the first time since an accident a year ago. In doing so, they learn so much about each other now, and about all their misconceptions about their younger selves.

I was so excited to be able to read Inara Scott's new book Reforming the Playboy the first in her new Passion Creek Romance Series.

Kira moved back to her hometown many years ago leaving her boyfriend Max back at school in Rhode Island with little explanation.

They have both grown up leading separate lives. Kira has her own store in her hometown and Max is a famous artist. When Kira and Max are brought back together they will both find it hard to fight the fire that burns between them.

I loved the characters Inara Scott created. Kira is a lovable person who only wants to please everyone even if mean doing something she doesn't want. Max is strong but still finds himself lost. I also loved the towns people from Errand the barista to Taney in the local store.

My favorite part of the book is the setting. I love small towns. Passion Creek gives you a warm feeling. My favorite shop the Passion Creek Beanery the local coffee shop.

I am looking forward to reading more of Passion Creek Romance Series

Five years ago Kira Butler had left her lover, Max Estin, without saying good bye in person. He is still bitter about her betrayal. Now he has a chance to exact revenge. There are nude pictures that Max had drawn of Kira. If he doesn't come to Passion Creek and claim them, they will be put on display as stipulated in her great-aunt Polly's will. Kira is frantic. She begs Max to come. When these two meet, the attraction and bitterness are still there. Can they help each other heal? Can they rekindle their love? Inara Scott has written characters that have deep emotions and red hot chemistry. They care deeply about each other but their hurt and pride are keeping them apart. The author captures their emotions with empathy. We care about them. We want them to find happiness and to confront their fears. This book is so satisfying. I'm looking forward to more stories about Passion Creek and the people who live there.

Max Estin is an internationally known artist well known for his million dollar commissions. What no one knows is that he hasn't painted a thing for almost a year, not since his accident. When his ex-girlfriend calls needing a huge favor he takes his chance to exact revenge and possibly knock something loose so he can paint again. Kira left Max without a word except for a dear john letter and no excuse as to why she left. Kira's secrets are hidden deep and she doesn't want Max to know.

This was a heartbreaking and yet heart-warming story of two people trying to grow up and become who they really are and in the end hopefully find each other. These two have so many hang ups one wouldn't know where to begin. This isn't just any reunion story there are so many issues that go deeper than their feelings for one another.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. However, I would have bought it anyway since I have loved Inara's other books.

I love books with second-chance at love themes. And watching the guys and girls fall in love all over again. This story was very heartwarming and tender to me. I felt so much compassion for Kira. She was a character that made me want to take care of her. She wanted to be strong but was so fearful. I loved how she related to her hometown. And I loved how Max felt while being there. The two shared a strong intense connection. It was hot. The ending made my heart swell and the epilogue a smile on my face. I cannot say how it ended but it was a little different than other books where the roles had been reversed. A refreshing change.

I look forward to reading more of Inara's books in the future.
