Jensen ‘Jigsaw’ Killgore’s life as road captain of the Lost Kings Motorcycle Club is a wild ride filled with brotherhood, playing with knives, and dabbling in vigilante justice. The endless supply of willing women who cross his path is enough to satisfy all his cravings.
Raised in a strict religious cult that left him scarred inside and out, monogamy isn’t part of Jigsaw’s future plans. But his carefree existence takes an unexpected turn when Margot, a quirky, curvy blonde involved in his MC’s business, enters his life.
With a morbid sense of humor that calls to Jigsaw’s deepest inner demons, Margot Cedarwood might be the first woman who surprises him as much as she scares him. Against every one of his instincts, he finds himself captivated by the eccentric but compassionate mortuary cosmetologist.
With his president’s warning to keep his hands off Margot echoing in his ears, Jigsaw must navigate the dangerous territory of falling for a woman who’s supposed to be off-limits while respecting the bonds of his chosen family.
But the more time Jigsaw and Margot spend together, the more he realizes she might be the one woman capable of what he once thought was impossible—capturing his reluctant heart and soothing his scarred soul.
In a world where loyalty is everything, Jigsaw and Margot must decide if love is worth breaking all the rules.

This book was boring. We are mostly reading what’s in the heads of the two main characters, Jigsaw and Margot. There is no action. No angst. The usual banter between characters is non existent. There is a side to Margot that is so unbelievable even for a fiction book that I laughed out loud and sad “ Oh come on”. The very last chapter Margo tells Jigsaw what her side hobby is and then the book ends. Margo and Jigsaws book coming soon. REALLY? There are 24 books in this universe, 24! I can’t preorder to read any more. I know this author writes soft biker books and her writing is usually entertaining with the banter between characters, except the Shelby and rooster books with the “motherflocking”language. That was cringy.
Fans of Autumn’s have been waiting for Jiggy’s story since he first appeared in Zero Regret, book 13 in the Lost Kings MC series. We got to know him more as Rooster’s best friend as the series continued. The wait was so worth it! Covering his awful past with wit, sarcasm and meaningless sex is his coping mechanism until Jiggy meets Margot, a reserved cosmetologist at the funeral home the MC have a ‘business’ arrangement with. Attracted by her quirky look and curves, Jiggy finds himself drawn to her, just as Margot seems drawn to the dark in him and his acceptance of her job. She plucks up the courage to ask him for sexual tuition having been told she’s ‘corpse like’ in bed. I loved seeing Jiggy’s softer side come out. He’s always been respectful of the ol’ ladies within the MC, but his patience with Margot is endearing and together they find acceptance and trust. The spicy scenes were hot hot hot! I loved seeing Margot develop throughout the story, never losing her quirkiness but gaining the confidence to ask for what she needed. She herself has a dark secret that does leave the book on a cliffhanger, but this wonderful pair will no doubt endure! I feel Twist The Knife is Autumn’s darkest book to date, with a rollercoaster of emotions throughout. The first sentence of chapter one had me saying “oh no!” out loud and I continued to read with a tear in my eye, be warned! That being said, there were numerous laugh out loud moments too. I love love loved it, my favourite book from the series so far. Five stars as always 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I am gearing up for the next one in the series after this epic cliffie!!!! I do have more to say about the greatness of this read BUT everyone really needs to check this out!
First I’d like to say Autumn never disappoints me !!! Jiggy and Margot’s story is just as fantastic as Rock and Hope … After all the books that have come since the start it’s like catching up with the family I love all the banter and snark !! This ends in a Cliffy which I hate them because I’m impatient however I know Autumn doesn’t let us down !!
Twist the Knife felt like reading Butcher and Blackbird meets The Kiss Quotient, set in a world that feels like Sons of Anarchy—minus the cheating and violence against women. I mean all of that as high praise. I loved both books and I loved SOA (I just hated the cheating.)
Jigsaw and Margot’s story is a unique blend of gritty motorcycle club romance, tender emotion, and LOST OF SPICE, creating a story that's as thrilling as it is heartfelt and panty-melting. If you loved the morally gray characters in Sons of Anarchy, you’ll be drawn into Jigsaw’s complex world. And if you adored the quirky, endearing romances in The Kiss Quotient and Butcher and Blackbird, Margot’s journey will definitely entertain you. Together, these two are PERFECTION!
This author and this series is one of my favorites for good reason. Each and every book feels so fresh, brand new and authentic. Every character has a distinct personality and voice. It's easy to imagine them as real people. Her heroines are always women I'd want to be friends with. And I would do unholy things to her heroes!
Jigsaw has been one of my favorite Lost Kings for years! I am so happy he finally has his book and found his soul mate! Twist the Knife gives us a deep, passionate connection between two characters who challenge and complement each other in all the best ways. Jigsaw is so hesitant to let himself fall even though he knows it's happening and he can't stay away from his pretty little mortician. He made me so mad at times and then he made up for it immediately because he is just that swoonworthy.
The tension in this book was...unreal. I kept waiting and waiting for the penny to drop for Jigsaw. And when it finally does, it is JAW-DROPPING! OMG. In a way, Jigsaw kind of comes full circle and I was squirming in my chair while I was reading every page. You'll know what I mean when you get there.
Overall, Twist the Knife is a motorcycle club romance that’s as unpredictable as it is satisfying (oh, so satisfying!) It's full of steamy moments, emotional depth, some delightfully quirky characters, appearances from all of our favorite Lost Kings and Ruthless & Royal crew, and just enough darkness that it kept me on edge from start to finish.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Tropes: teach me sex, motorcycle club, shy girl meets bad boy, he falls hard, opposites attract, forbidden Triggers: Funeral home events, vigilante justice Cheating: NEVER, this author always writes loyal heroes who become obsessed with the heroine and don't cheat.
Romance trope: MC Series: Lost Kings MC Length: 462 pages
Plot: Jigsaw - the slightly psychotic, always amusing road captain of the downstate Lost Kings MC - always thought he wasn't destined for relationships. He has his club and his best friend Rooster, but that's all he needed. Then he met Margot. Something about the quirky, shy mortician appeals to him and he can't really explain it. But when she comes to him with a request for help, what kind of person would he be to deny a friend of the club? Margot's no one-night-stand though; she's much deeper than that, and discovering her hidden depths may be just the attraction Jigsaw needs.
Commentary: Jiggy and Margot are perfect for each other. If you are a fan of the series, you'll remember that Margot was introduced as a character in previous books, in her capacity as mortuary cosmetologist. Her dad owns the funeral home that the club is now connected with. There seemed to be a little spark between Jiggy and Margot in those previous meetings, but of course Jiggy has a little spark with a lot of women. The author does something here that she does a lot - overlapping timelines. I've mentioned before that I usually hate this device in a series but I feel that this author does it so well that I don't hate it here. We get new little pieces of plot and character motivation and foreshadowing with each overlapping scene. Both of these characters are complex, and that unfolds as the story does. Jigsaw has a past that has driven his actions in the present, and Margot has a present that will blow readers away. I am excited to see what the next book brings as Jiggy deals with Margot's secrets as they continue to grow their relationship.
Oh Jiggy, Jiggy, Jiggy.... Damn you are perfect!!!
Throughout the Lost Kings, we've met Jiggy who is best friends with Rooster - and their bromance is one of the most hilarious and special bromances there ever was! Even when Rooster met and settled down with Shelby, they're still in sync and I've always loved how he treated Shelby like a little sister - for such a deadly and scary person, he is damn adorable!!
This is were he meets is other half and we all knew it couldn't be a 'normal' straight-laced 9-5 working woman, heck no! Roll in Margot Cedarwood - a mortuary cosmetologist at her father's funeral home which is also the latest LOKI investment. What MC doesn't need a crematorium at their disposal 😏
Margot is a quirky, kooky, adorable and blunt woman who is in need of an 'intimate' teacher, but also in need of a friend, or another half to share her life with. Roll in Jiggy!
I loved getting to see Jiggys softer side, he's still Jiggy - he hasn't turned into a flower sniffing rainbow jumping sap - we just get to see a softer and deeper side to him. There's a lot of hurt behind those scars and it takes a special someone to see past it.
These two are so perfect, it beggars belief! They've both grew up surrounded by death but in different ways and reasons and both sides were sad. They definitely deserve to have happiness
I can't explain how much I loved this book and that we get to catch up with the rest of the crew - I have missed those guys!!! It is full of humour and one liners, the friendships and found family in this is just so special, the uniqueness of these two characters is spot on and the want for more is ever present. I truly hope you know how gifted you are Autumn, this story and this world you created is just pure perfection. 5 stars will never be enough.
Oh how I’ve been patiently waiting for Jigsaw’s story! “Twist the Knife” is a steamy, action packed and twisted MC romance with a plot twist I DID NOT see coming.
After escaping a strict religious cult, Jigsaw, now older, has found his family with the Lost Kings MC. When the Kings go into a business with a funeral home to have access to certain things only they would have. And when Jigsaw meets Margot, the owner’s daughter and cosmetology mortician, he’s taken with her but he does not do relationships. Margot has always kept to herself, especially since she was bullied when she was younger for her family’s business. So after a special brownie, she asks Jigsaw for some lessons on how to be appealing to men. The MC president has declared her hands off but there is something about her that he can’t stay away from.
I loved Jigsaw from Rooster and Shelby’s books and I’m so happy to finally have his story. He’s funny, protective and a little bit unhinged which I love. He’s loyal to his brothers and their old ladies. He’s always up to be Mr. Right Now but never Mr. Forever. Margot was incredible from the beginning with her quirky sense of humor and she was unafraid of the MC. She’s had a quiet life working with the dead but you could tell she wanted more. They had great banter and I loved the chemistry they had from the beginning which only grew as the story went on. Jigsaw was convinced he wouldn’t fall for her but even he couldn’t resist her. And the plot twist that was thrown in had my jaw dropping and going back to make sure I had read it right. I loved it so much and I can’t wait to read what happens next. The book ends on a cliffhanger, each guys book is usually a two part story, and I’m counting down the days until the next book is released.
I haven’t out loud cackled like I did in this book.
Autumn’s way of writing this characters is so vulnerable and broken and hilarious and true to life.
Margot comes across as a sweet, shy, and unassuming funeral director. But what happens when the 1 person she trusts more than her life finds out she has a darker side? No seriously… what happens? I desperately need to know!
Jensen “Jigsaw” Killgore shows the world his prickly exterior. Never admitting to the scars delivered by his head-of-a-cult father. What happens when he falls for the quirky funeral director his MC does business with?
Getting to see the side characters we all know and love simply add to the absolute genius of this book!
Rock’s steadfast belief in his brothers, even when he wants to murder them. Wrath and Grinder working to ensure the idiots aren’t running the asylum. Murphy and Teller speaking to each other without words and needling each other with them. Dex’s steady advice to those coming after him. And even Remy and Griff’s antics getting caught up in the hilarity.
If you love a possessive man attached to his motorcycle and his woman… you will not be disappointed.
This can be read as a standalone. But if you want to learn all about the other guys and their women, do yourself the favour and jump in at Slow Burn. You will NOT be disappointed.
My first thought was: I downloaded the wrong author....and than....I really liked the series until now. If this would have been the first book, I wouldn't have read anything else by the author. The other books had ups and downs but overall good reads. This was just totally boring with characters that are too superficial and self centered. There is no chemistry between the protagonists and Miss Goody two shoes is supposedly a serial killer? A stuck in the 50'ies homebody with annoying buttons that are supposed to be funny but just ratch up the can it get any worse factor?! Judge, jury and executioner in one person. Completetely unbelievable that nobody would have caught on. Our main character just doesn`t posess the skills and intelligence to pull sth. like that off. And the male protagonist???? There are so many holes in his background story and he often behaves very immaturely. After the first 30 pages I thought: this cannot possibly get worse.....but it did....started skipping and deleted it in the end. I am really sorry about the time and money invested.....maybe the autor enjoyed one of those brownies? Otherwise I am completely baffled that she supposedly wrote this nonsens.
Book 24 of the LOKI series. Blurb says it’s a standalone but I personally don’t think so. Yes the on going storyline gets glossed over but all the reoccurring characters from the other books would be overwhelming imo. I think if you haven’t read the whole series you may not like this book as much or be as invested. This was a bit slowwwww! I was expecting more. This book (this series really) is light on the MC trope. It’s more contemporary romance with some biker characteristics. So if you’re looking for heavy, dark biker saga, this ain’t it. But if you’re into a good romance with men who are bikers that treat their women right, and alot of humorous bantering then give it a go.
I have been waiting to read Jigsaw Aka Jensen’s story! I’ve loved him in the past books. He’s a bit unhinged with that dry sarcastic humor, my kind of dude. Of course this will be a trilogy, AJL is known to have trilogy’s for her men. Jigsaw is so damn sweet, I wasn’t expecting that! In this book Jigsaw seems like he’s the pussycat while Margot is the one unhinged, and I’m here for it. Who’s the serial killer? Ughh I gotta wait for the next book, dammit!
Reading one of the LOKI books is like coming home. I love having past characters show up in all the books. It’s one big happy family!
4 ⭐️ Jiggy has always been one of my favourite brothers and I’ve been so excited for his & Margot’s story! This was a great introduction.
Tropes • mc romance • mortician fmc • spicy lessons
Review
It’s always nice stepping back into the LOKI universe. As I said Jiggy has been a favourite of mine for a while so I’ve been dying for his book! We got a little glimpse at his childhood and that was heartbreaking in itself but I’m hoping we get to dive a little more into it in the next book. I’m also looking forward to seeing his relationship with Jezzie grow stronger. His friendships with Rooster & Shelby remain insanely sweet and it was just nice seeing him fall in love 🥰
Margot was such an interesting character. I really liked how complex she was. She was equal parts vulnerable and strong, and she wasn’t afraid to ask questions. The one thing that felt a little jarring was her little side hobby… Not so much the ‘hobby’ itself but more the way it was sprung on us 60% in. I feel like there might have been a smoother way to have incorporated the storyline but other than that I really enjoyed the book. These two had great chemistry and I’m excited to see her interact with more of the LOKI fam 🤍
So trying not to do a spoilerish review. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how amazing this author is at weaving this incredible world and unique characters together to create magic. Her fans want to live in this world. This is part 1 of 2 but I wouldn't call it a cliffhanger more like, "oh......we are going to delve into some interesting things in part 2." This is now ABSOLUTELY my favorite heroine. She bumped my long standing Trinity out of the water because she really can give the guys a run for their money in a certain department. Something I love about Autumn's writing is she writes mentally, physically, and emotionally healthy relationships. No toxic tropes. Definitely hurdles, miscommunication, navigating tricky situations, etc- so drama and intrigue are involved, but she handles it in a way that is healthy.
Always a "buy now" author for me. She could write 100 books on this world, 10 books per each couple, and I would read them all.
I COULDN’T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. AND A MUST READ AGAIN AND AGAIN. Another Autumn Jones Lake classic. Unbelievable. Mesmerizing. Terrifying. I wasn’t prepared for how the book started. It literally took my breath away. However, it was necessary to understand his childhood, traumas and why he was drawn to Margot. And Margot, she has a dark side that she keeps well hidden. And while the connection between Jigsaw and Margot goes beyond mere words and action, he has no idea about her dark side. Margot is talented, skilled and knowledgeable in her profession-mortuary cosmetology and funeral preparation. Except when it comes to physical abusers. And when it comes to physical intimacy she feels inadequate. Her ex continually made her feel inadequate. Jigsaw on the other hand doesn’t believe in relationships. He doesn’t believe he can love anyone except his sister Jezzie. Jigsaw and Margot are perfect for each other. They seem to know exactly what the other person needs. They just have to get past their own selves and trust their instincts.
“I love how hard your body is but how gently you handle me”
I enjoyed that this isn’t a virgin story, but a girl who has some experience but has very little confidence in herself asking for help to build that self-confidence. I felt I knew was what going to happen but it still took me by surprise in a way since it was completely different from any other character that has been written.
Throughout the chapters, you see jigsaws struggle he wants her in every single way, but the idea of commitment scares him. We knew he was a sweetheart to his best friend’s fiancé, but this book is showing another personality we do not get to see.
Margot is the yin to Jigsaw’s yang.
I enjoy that the author can write a story while another storyline was taking place. In the previous books we only got glimpse of Jigsaw and what he thought of Margot. This story brought us back to those same moments and gave us his POV. Which by the way the author has done countless times in the other books. I respect that she was able to give us all story that didn’t feel repetitive.
Twist the Knife is book 24 in the Lost King's MC Series and is book one for Jigsaw, so know that it does end in a cliff hanger.
We see a completely different side of Jigsaw in this book. We learn more about his childhood and what made him the man he is today. We see a vulnerable side and a pleasantly surprising swoony side. It's been amusing seeing his more charming side come out, but don't get it twisted cause he still makes that a-hole appearance lol.
Margot could be witty and funny. Sometimes I felt she was a little too immature, I'm not quite sure how old she is but I thought it was a little odd. Her innocent act wasn't cutting it for me. I preferred her development into the dark side. If you know, you know 😈.
A slow start, but it's been fun seeing Jigsaw get knotted up over a woman. He may have finally met his match and I love that for him. There's a mix of humor, spice, and plot twists. Personally I'm not a fan of the teach me how trope, but to each their own. Overall an enjoyable read that leaves you speculating.
What book slump. my thought after I inhaled Twist the Knife. Autman instantly transported me to this amazing world with fascinating characters and I was sad once I read that last page.
Jiggy was always a character that had some great dark energy around him, but in this book, we see a more vulnerable and lighter side to him. It was a nice surprise and made him an even more interesting character. It was fun seeing him fall hard for Margot.
Margot was such a different FMC in this series. I loved getting to know her different sides to her and that while she seems light and innocent, you get peeks of a dark current of energy that runs through her. She has the right amount of light/darkness that makes her perfect for Jiggy
For anyone who has yet to read this series, the good news is that you could start with this book and not feel you missed anything.
As usual this read was a lot of fun and I’m excited for pt. 2. It can be read as a stand- alone or you could do yourself a favor & read the entire series and join this eco-system. The author includes her characters and their bio’s (the info given feels full) in her glossary, It’s helpful for the new or the forgetful.
Our main character’s insecurity is that an ex managed to gas-lite her when he was a typically un-skilled & insecure man. But this woman doesn’t need saving. She literally goes into the world and rights some very wrongs, vigilante style.
Margot is a great partner for Jiggy and he deserves someone capable and fun, who likes to surround herself in good and sees him as such. Some of her souvenirs are worrisome but it sounds like they’re equal to his and he’ll have a unique appreciation for them. I’m excited to see how that plays out in the next book.
Woah!! I was not expecting that ending...and for the first time I was actually left speechless at the definite twist of the knife! Margot and Jigsaw could not be any more different or seemingly incompatible...but somehow they really meshed together and had insane sexual chemistry. The usual club members and their significant others were all in attendance at various points of the book, but the main attraction was definitely Jiggy and Margot's "lessons in love". I wasn't sure what to expect, and what started out as the usual biker romance between the hardened guy with a dark past and the sweet woman who made her living taking care of the dead, turned into something much more sinister and darker. I think I know where this is going but have to wait for the next book to see if I'm right. You got me good with this surprise ending!
***** 5 ***** "I did NOT see that coming at all" stars
Another fabulous instalment in this amazing 'Lost King's MC series!!! Although it is part of a series, this particular duet can be read without previously completing the other books, however do yourself a favour and start from the very beginning and lose yourself in this world of fantastic characters! Jiggy has been a bit of a favourite for a while now and I loved how he has found his perfect match with the funny, quirky and at times a little scary, Margot. Filled with humour, banter and insane chemistry this is a book that you won't be able to put down and will be counting the days until the next book, Collecting the Pieces comes out. One of my all time favourite MC series that I highly recommend to anyone who loves this genre!!!
Boy was the knife ever twisted!! I have been waiting for years for Jiggy's book. It was worth the wait. And now I will be waiting on part 2 of Jiggy's and Margot's story. The book was exciting, spicy and when Jigsaw is around you are guaranteed some humor. Many of our beloved characters make appearances in this book as it does in most of the series. It is always nice to.catch up.with them. Margot and Jiggy are great together, however they are both keeping a secret. But then Jiggy finds hers. And you turn the next page for more only to hit the wall called cliffhanger. Be prepared.to.wait for the rest of the story. It is so worth the wait.
WOW!!! I'd give this book 50 plus stars if I could!! I love Jiggy and Margot.
We first met Jiggy in Swagger and Sass. I have enjoyed his character ever since. I love his quirky sense of humor.
When Jiggy first meets Margot, something hits him. He can't control it. Now Margot is so sweet and kind. She feels drawn to Jiggy. They just click!!
Autumn puts her whole heart in all her books. This is one book you must read it. I simply love this book and do not want to spoil it for anyone. Just read it!
Autumn None Lake has knocked it out of the ballpark once again. I couldn't put this book down. It's well written, stream, full of great banter and leaves you wanting more. I couldn't be happier for Jigsaw and Margot. I loved how open they were with one another. These two are perfect for one another not that we're know one of Margot's secrets. Even with this cliffhanger and knowing what he collects I hope he realizes how perfect their pieces fit together. I can't want to get my hands on the rest of their story.
After the last few books being lacklustre I was happy to get entranced in Jigsaw and Margot’s world. These two are made for each other. Dark and twisted in the best of ways. Unlike any of the other pairings that have come before them. And I’m excited to see how the ending here shakes out.
I can’t say I didn’t see what happened coming. But seeing Jigsaw fall in love is an utter delight.
And there’s hints of movements around the MC’s. Possibilities that could/would/should be welcomed since Z’s books. I’m not sure. But I’m invested. January is so far away.
Jensen (Jigsaw)& Margot Jig was raised in a religious cult, and now is road captain of the Lost Kings Margot, works with her Father in his funeral home. He is warned by his President to watch out for her BUT hands off, but she makes a deal with him and his entire life is changed for the better. without any spoilers I have to say the "ornaments" was a surprise :O another is how sweet the damaged man was with "his girl" Autumn (as usual) knocked it out of the park, as soon as I finished I wanted to start reading it all over again, it was that good of a read.
The only thing wrong with this book was that it finished too soon. I was ready to see what was going to happen and I was so invested …. And I had the time to continue …. And it ended !!!! Gah….. 😩 January can’t come quick enough !!!!! Have to admit , I was a little shocked at Jiggys thought process as to Margot’s “hobby” without giving her the benefit of the doubt. He seemed to have an opinion …. And I didn’t think Jiggy would judge right off the bat . Anyway , the next book will hopefully answer our questions 😊
I so love Jigsaw, and this book did NOT disappoint... at all! I can honestly say that being inside his head wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be... lol. I'm absolutely loving Margot; she's a riot! I especially love how she is possibly the 1st person in a very long time, was able to scare Jiggy... But I know that his reaction was only born out of shock at her confession. It won't take time long to see his kindred spirit and why she's 100% perfect for him. Book #25 can't come quick enough!
Jiggys store was so gut wrenching and it sucks to say it is real life these screw loose cult people are dangerous so glad from what I know Jessie his sister didn’t get saed Margot is amazing for him they are 2 halves of a whole I love them I missed this series so much can’t wait to get the physical copy in the mail thank you sisters for my b&n gift cards and Mother’s Day best Mother’s Day gift already on collect the pieces I just have been too focused on reading to updated this app I’m so enthralled
