If ever there was a bad boy to tame, this one is it! And of course - but of course! - the woman to do it is the sweetest and most beautiful one out there. If this isn't a match made in romance book heaven, I don't know what is. *sigh, take me to romance book heaven, sigh*
Carolina Jax has gone out of her comfort zone and left the small town romances behind for this one - because here she hits the big city. She also brings in hockey with the bad boy of the hockey league, Ezekiel Stone, the wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, no commitments, tatted, attitude... are we all swooning or what? Why is it that we so dearly love the a$$hole bad boy? I don't know, but what's even sweeter is when a woman enters the pages of his story and brings him to his knees. Enter Honey Childs. He doesn't even have a shot. He's a goner. And in all the best possible ways.
I have to say that I just loved Honey. She's just so... sweet. (Pun kind of not intended.) She proves to him that people can be good and that she's not after him for the wrong reasons, while he (eventually comes around to) shows her the things that she didn't realize she was missing in her life.
"That One Puck" is a quick read, but well worth it. Maybe Carolina Jax has found her new forte in a$$hole pro hockey players matched with the sweetest and smartest and kindest of women! I mean, I'm there for it! BookFunnel me, Carolina! ;)

When they see each other again will they be ready ? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. Love Zeke and Honey and their dynamic. Great supporting characters. This was a fun quick read! Hockey romance is always a yes but the mmc a hockey goalie - hell yes (have you seen those warm up videos 😮💨) Can’t wait to read more from this author!!

There are so many quotes in this book, I absolutely loved it.
This is a quick read where you can lose yourself in Zeke and Honey's instalove story.
Zeke is the grumpy bad boy player. I love em and leave kinda guy, and he certainly doesn't get hung up on a woman, and he definitely wouldn't get called out about it.
He turns out to be a professional hockey goalie with a heart of gold, and he's Honey's best friend Brother’s best friend (that's one hell of a mouthful)
Honey is sweet in Zeks words
"It's almost as if I can smell her and taste her. That's how familiar she is. Sweet like Honey."
She plays it cool when she meets Zek in a bar. One night is all it takes for them both.

Please tell me this is the beginning of something new for Mrs. Jax because I am absolutely here for it! I am a sports romance girlie, and football & hockey are my absolute favorite. Carolina slays football, no doubt about it, but she has just quickly captured many hockey girlies too!
I’m a huge fan of pregnancy tropes, and for being a novella it was done well in this one!
Honey is new to New York City and finds herself in a one night stand with the hockey playboy of the city. Feeling some cosmic energy she took a chance and spent the evening with him, but left early in the morning with the parting words of, “I’d stay but I don’t think you’re ready.”
Zeke, our hot hockey a**hole! Surprises us with an infatuation with his one night stand. And man does this butthead glow up!
It’s a short, spicy read! But it pulls you in and holds you there for the entire story!! Mrs. Jax has this habit of giving you your HEA but leaving you always wanting more!! I really hope there is more where this came from FOR SURE!

“That One Puck” by Carolina Jax is a hockey romance featuring bad boy Ezekiel and the woman he falls hard for, Honey. Ezekiel and Honey first met at a bar, and they spent one amazing night together that caused Ezekiel to re-examine the way he looked at women and relationships. I thought Ezekiel and Honey were a cute couple; their chemistry was obviously tangible as well. This novella kind of gives off insta love vibes, which normally isn’t one of my favorite tropes, but I didn’t have a problem with it this time. All in all, this was a good read!!!

This was such a cute, quick one night stand hockey romance. Featuring a delectable bad boy and an adorable free spirit, the characters were wonderful. The story felt fleshed out for such a short novella, but I would happily read so much more about Eli and Honey.

That One Puck is part of F*** On The Ice series with different authors writing each book. Carolina Jax did a great job introducing the team while focusing on Ezekiel Stone and Honey Childs.
Zeke and Honey meet at a bar and have instalove once they lock eyes. Zeke is the bad boy of the NHL, constantly getting suspended for fighting. Honey is the daughter of hippies who is very chill. They are a very unlikely pair but when one night ties their future together they are all in with each other. Great instalove novella !

Honey and Zeke!! Can we just say oh dang so cute these two. Insta lust is so so there i just squeal with delight every single time.
Add in the ice hockey sport and boy can we take a breather. Phewww the man is fire on ice and otherwise we well. Honey oh honey , the calming force and a gentle soul, you are amazing! Zeke a perpetual grouch is not one for our dear Honey. And we love it when a man is a puppy dog for his love and no one else.
A spicy, steamy quick read with all the feels and love and smexy time , you don't wanna miss this.

Eli and Honey are electric. The gruff, alpha hockey player and the loving sweet and sassy flower child create fireworks when they come together. She knows he isn’t ready for what they could be so she walks away giving him space but she takes a part of him with her. When fate brings them together again, Eli has to decide if he’s ready to let his barbed wire down and let love in. What he doesn’t realize is that dropping his walls is the first step to the most incredible adventure yet, and the love of the right woman makes everything that much sweeter.

I love a Good Hockey Romance story. It definitely held up that’s definitely for sure. I really enjoyed reading about Honey & Ezekiel. They had plenty of spice & steam. It was a novella and such a quick read for me as the reader. Loved the storyline & love these two so much. Carolina Jax definitely does it again. I also loved the side characters as well in this novella. I’m definitely in my hockey Era.

Crazy spicy hotness one night stand with a grumpy guy at the bar turns into oh my goodness he’s a grumpy professional hockey player and friends with my best friends brother. Zeke and Honey story starts off with a banging one night. Her decision to start a new life in New York completely changed in a short period of time. She was the sunshine he needed in his life and he was everything she didn’t know she needed.

I fell in love with Zeke and Honey’s story from the start. This book is a quick read with a fast paced storyline. I honestly wish it was longer that’s how much I didn’t want their story to end. If you love reading hockey sports romance with 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ this book is a must read for you.

Well this was unexpected! I didn’t read the blurb and went in blind, fully expecting the spice but not at all expecting THAT! It was quick and fun read for sure, Honey and Eli sure do make a vibrant couple, I could read about them more and more! I loved the character development, the mix of both grumpy/sunshine, how one person can change the views of another in the blink of an eye.

Omg yes Carolina! 100x yes!! This is my first hockey read and I swear I can read about Ezekiel (Zeke) and Honey forever. This is a short novella and it was one of my favorites of all time. This definitely could be written into a long full novel and I would be the first in line. These two captured my heart immediately!

I'll be honest, I had a hard time getting past Ezekiel being called the "Gangsta Goalie." I can't imagine any hockey player willingly being called this, and I can only see someone using it toward another player as an insult.
Ezekiel isn't a bad boy. He.'s a funboi with an anger problem.
He also talked too much about being a "bad boy." It's like telling people you're cool. If you're actually cool, you don't have to tell people.
What I will say is that he's sweet with Honey. I wish he were less of a jerk to everyone else, but at least he's better to her.

One thing I realized while reading this novella is that I’ll never not be in my hockey romance era! This was a face-paced, quick read filled with all the spice and great chemistry. I thought Honey and Ezekiel were a cute couple and their insta-love vibes were very noticeable but I didn’t have a problem with it! And if anything else…read the dance floor scene because what else can happen between the bad boy and the sweet girl?? If you like hockey romance with a one night stand and an accidental pregnancy, this is for you!

This is a sweet instalove grumpy/sunshine story. Honey is caring, considerate and full of light. Zeke is a man who needs an attitude adjustment. I don’t read a lot of sports romance, but this was one I really enjoyed.

I really enjoyed this short steamy read. Zeke is a bad boy hockey star. Known as a player and hot head. He meets Honey at the local pub and has an instant attraction to her. After a one night stand he finds her gone the next day and his attitude becomes even worse. Honey is sweet and loved by everyone. She is the total opposite of Zeke. Will their paths cross again? Is Honey able to tame Zeke? Great story.
