Love can conquer all, but it can’t change people…no matter how much you want it to. Mason was my high school sweetheart. Deeply enraptured with my first love, I followed his dreams and put mine to the wayside. I thought he loved me back and ignored the red flags until it was too late. The damage was done. Unable to take any more pain, I left Mason and never looked back. Deep within the safety of my childhood home, I found solitude, quickly followed by the terror of a man unwilling to let me go. With new love on the horizon, can I escape the violent zephyr that is Mason or will I be pulled back into his storm? Due to DARK & mature content, this book is intended for 18+ audiences. Just a mom/nerd out in this crazy world writing smut.
My first romance book was a historical romance that I read in middle school. I didn't start reading smutty romance until I was in my 20's when a friend gave me my first dark romance.
I love writing beautifully flawed but strong female leads, diverse romantic situations, realistic body types, ethnically diverse, and queer characters.
"Magick and Malice" is my currently mostly sapphic romantasy series inspired by fairytales. All in KU. Happy reading!

This was a lot better than I expected for just 72 pages, but I blazed through it and enjoyed the quick ride. Very fast-paced but detailed enough to build the story well, create mystery and somewhat spooky vibes. With how quickly the story moved, I was surprised that there was any spice at all, NOT that I am complaining! Nothing in the story felt unnecessary; every word and paragraph was needed to push the story and characters forward.
Probably an unpopular opinion: I hope Mason gets a redemption book. He was a terrible person so I can also see him deserving nothing… but I’d love to see this book/series be more about forgiveness and redemption than punishment and torture. There should still be some of that, of course, but I think Mason could turn it around.
Thank goodness for Gabi’s happy ending. I know real life isn’t full of happy endings but it would have just been so depressing if she hadn’t received one after everything.
I must admit I only chose the book because of the interesting cover and title, I didn't expect much from such a short read. Yet I was positively surprised how much depth, emotion and plot you can put into 72 pages. I thought the trigger warnings gave away a huge spoiler and yet I was still surprised. :) If you are looking for a quick and short read, but still want to be captivated by the story: This is it.
This book deals with an abusive ex which apparently is already dead. I like that it was short but I’ll be honest I don’t get why it was written. Like I didn’t get anything from it. Apparently it’s a ghost that can touch stuff and almost kills her!! Yeah it was not a good story. Also sorry I don’t think his sins are redeemable
It took about an hour to read total but it took me 3 days to power through… I really wanted to enjoy it but it was predictable and the MMC just gave me an ick. I figured out what happened after the first few interactions and from then I just really struggled.
I’m sure for some this is a great quick read, I just personally struggled.
