A fake relationship for a weekend; a biker who wants more and a shy girl who can’t give him the one thing he wants…
Mom’s coming to visit and she expects to meet my new boyfriend. Spoiler I don’t have a boyfriend. I pretended I did to get Mom off my back, I didn’t expect her to show up on the mountain. In steps Arlo, the bearded, tattooed biker I’ve been crushing on since I started working at the Wild Riders MC HQ. We’ll pretend to be together to keep Mom happy. But as the weekend goes on, I’m falling for the easy-going ex-military biker. Which is bad because I can’t get involved with anyone. Not even him.
Wild Curves is a fake relationship romance featuring an ex-military mountain man biker and the curvy shy girl whose curves he can’t get enough of.
TROPES: ~motorcycle club ~instalove ~forced proximity ~friends to lovers
This was really cute. It's a short instalove novella featuring a baker who is career-focused and the MC man who is obsessed with her. There's a bit of fake relationship, some spice, and many sweet moments!
Entirely, ENTIRELY, too much dessert related innuendo. In this house we do not call a p*ssy a cherry pie and we do not call the tip of a d*ck a blueberry. And we for sure do not pretend the taste of c*m is comparable to literal chocolate. BYE.
My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Maggie is the pastry sous chef at the MC restaurant and brewery. You see her in the previous books, she described as quiet and mousey. She’s a chubby shy woman who is focused on being a pastry chef and she’s not going to let her desire for Arlo the bartender and MC brother derail her. Arlo has been interested in Maggie since she started working at the restaurant. He knows she quite and shy so he’s waiting for her to warm up to him to make his move. His timetable gets moved up to right now when he sees her swiping on a dating app. Maggie’s mother has always drummed it into her head that being a chef meant that she could not have a relationship with a man or get married. Her mom is extremely pushy and very outspoken, which causes Maggie to further retreat into her shell. When her mother pressures her again to date and find a man Maggie lies and tells her she has a boyfriend. She describes Arlo since he’s her dream man, her mom supper excited tells her she and Maggie’s dad are coming for a visit. When Arlo finds out she needs a fake bearded boyfriend he appoints himself her fake boyfriend. He wants to make it her real boyfriend but is bidding his time. He charms her parents and takes her to his house so her parents can stay in her studio apartment. He gives her lots of kisses and oral times to get her to see they are meant for each other. Maggie enjoys the sexy times but stops anything more because she knows she can’t have Arlo and a career as a chef. He’s not happy about her pulling back but vows to keep trying to win her over. Maggie finally tells her mom the truth about her fake boyfriend and her mom surprises her by telling her she’s proud of her and she should not give up a man like Arlo, she can see that he loves her. Arlo comes over after her parents leave and tells her he loves her and will always support her, that all the male chefs she compares herself to have families, they have their partners be their support system. He will be her support system, he will be a stay at home dad if that is what she needs to make them a couple. He proposes and she says she loves him and yes! They finally have their first time together, she’s a virgin he’s not been with anyone since seeing her 3 months ago, maybe longer. Epilogue four years later, she’s the head pastry chef at the restaurant and she wins a prestigious baker award. Bonus downloadable epilogue with two kids and her happy she could have it all. A demanding career and her beautiful family. I love how Arlo stepped up so she could fulfill her dream.

Wild Curves is the fourth book in the Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider’s MC Series by Sadie King. If you’re looking for a sexy and sweet short romance featuring a curvy pastry chef and an irresisitbly good looking motorcycle riding man with a delicious smirk, look no further and pick up Maggie and Arlo’s story today.
If Maggie wants to live her dream of one day being the best pastry chef in the business, she has to sacrifice something in her life… or so that’s what her mother has drilled in her brain at a very young age. So Maggie has lived her life with her career and her dreams in mind, sacrificing dating and one day getting married and having children. But for some reason, unbeknownst to her, she move her eyes from Arlo, and she can’t keep the blush from rising whenever he’s in her presence… what’s a woman to do? Since Maggie started working at the restaurant, Arlo has had his sights on her hoping one day she would be his for the long haul. The only issue is, Maggie has walls up and wrapped tightly around her heart. Arlo, however, has ways of getting through impenetrable walls…
Maggie is desperate after telling a little white lie to get her mother to drop the boyfriends and baby’s conversation. Now, Maggie’s parents are on their way to see where Maggie works and to meet her new beau, Allen. The only issue is, there is no Allen. So when Arlo steps in with a plan of playing Allen, Maggie jumps at the chance. It’s either him or some random guy she chooses from a dating website……
What Maggie doesn’t know is that Arlo is in this for the long haul. He has his foot in the door, now all he has to do is prove to Maggie she can have a career, a husband, and a family without sacrificing. She can have it all, if only she’d give love a chance.
My Thoughts:
I’ve stated in a few past reviews, I have a love/hate relationship with short romance novels. And some tropes make that love/hate relationship stronger. Wild Curves was a good read. I really enjoyed Arlo’s calm, cool, and collected vibes throughout this novel and I also liked Maggie’s vulnerability. What I didn’t like in a short novel is the fake dating trope. With tropes like this, I typically need more plot and character development to get me on board for the relationship and the chemistry. There was a moment when I started to really spark up for these two, but then it fizzled out for me…. And that is the main reasoning behind why I gave this book a 3 star rating. I needed more from the storyline and I needed more chemistry from the characters.
I liked the premise of this romance, but the execution was lacking. Which only goes to show, and I say this all the time, I’m not going to love every book in a beloved series… You never know, and judging from the reviews, so many readers loved this novel. If you are a fan of short stories with a friends to lovers, forced proximity, and fake relationship vibe then this novel may just be a hit for you.
OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

She wants a pretend boyfriend to get her mother off her back but he wants forever.
Maggie is working as a chef at Wild Taste Bar and Restaurant located in the Wild Riders MC's headquarters. Her dream is to become the pastry chef there when the current one retires at the end of the year.
Although she's only 23, Maggie's mother is almost scandalized that she's not hunting down a man to marry so she can start popping out babies before her uterus isn't getting any younger. Finally to get her mother off her back, she invents a boyfriend based on Arlo. Oops! Now the parents are coming for a visit...
Arlo, a bartender there, has been crushing on the shy curvy chef for 3 months. When he sees her looking at bearded men on a dating site, he decides to delete the app and step in to help her.
Arlo loves meeting people and talking with them, an excellent trait for a bartender. He can charm anyone's mother. After all his road name is Prince as in Prince Charming.
Members of the Wild Riders MC are all military veterans who love their bikes and do good in the community. Other than the motorbikes parked outside and the motorbike memorabilia inside it's a classy place. Travis, the prez of the MC, runs an honest business and doesn't stand for any nonsense.
Can Arlo convince Maggie that she can have a husband (him) and her dream career both?

Wild Curves is Book 4 of Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider's MC series. It is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, curvy virgin gets her MC mountain man romance. Maggie is a shy, sassy, curvy, career driven chef working at Wild Taste, the MC's restaurant. Arlo, aka Prince, is a charming, hunky bartender and MC member. The two have been crushing on each other for some time, but Maggie is convinced she can't have both love and a career. Her mother constantly asks about a boyfriend every time she calls, and Maggie is getting frustrated. She says she has a boyfriend to appease her mother but is trapped when she states they will come that weekend for a visit. Arlo sees this as an opportunity to win her over and agrees to be her fake boyfriend for the weekend. He hopes it's enough time to win her over and have a real relationship. But what happens when real feelings are involved? Will Maggie realize she can have it all? Can Arlo convince her he will always support her and her career? The chemistry was off the charts, and I loved Arlo's playful personality. After a little drama, we get an amazing HEA. I loved this story and can't wait for Snips' story next!.

Maggie has one dream and that is to be a head pastry chef. Her mother isn't happy with her choice because she wants to see her daughter married and providing her with grandchildren. She repeatedly tells Maggie that women pastry chefs will be unable to have time for a family. Maggie is annoyed by her mother constantly bugging her about grandchildren and boyfriends that she actually lies to her to get her off her back. Maggie tells her mom that she has a bearded biker boyfriend named Allan which makes her parents decide that they were going to come visit and meet her boyfriend. Now Maggie has to find someone to pretend to be her boyfriend. Luckily or is it unluckily her coworker Arlo offers to help out. Maggie would like to tell him no because she has a crush on him and he might distract her from her dreams.
Arlo is ex military and a member of the Wild Rider's MC. He works as a bartender with Maggie. He has been trying to get her to notice him for the last three months but she is so quiet and shy. When he hears that she needs a pretend boyfriend for her parent's visit, he volunteers to help out. He is hoping to get her full attention.

“And if I was your girlfriend, I’d be up at 4 a.m. every morning for work. And when I work my way up to head pastry chef, it’d get worse. I’d work until midnight, I’d never be home for dinner, there’d be no date nights, no time for children, and you’d never see me... So it’s just as well that this is a pretend scenario for one weekend only, because I’m not girlfriend material.”
I loved this book. I loved the previous book in this series- which was my first- and I was hooked and wanted to read them all. Maggie and Arlo are very attracted to each other but never mention it. Maggie is working hard to be a pastry chef and won't have any time for a relationship. But her mother keeps bugging her to meet someone and start a family. To get her off her back, she says she already has a boyfriend- describing Arlo. Her mom excitedly announces she and her father will come visit and meet him. Stuck in a grave of her own making, Arlo offers to pretend to be her boyfriend while they are there, because he not going to let her meet some bearded serial killer on a dating app. She agrees. And we all know how this trope works out! This was really fun because Arlo was not letting the opportunity pass, and Maggie was so resistant and grumpy. Can't wait for more! 5 stars.
Maggie has wanted to be a pastry chef since she ten years old. She never was in a relationship because she wanted her career and wanted nothing or no one in her way to achieve that. Her parents were coming into town. Her mom was always trying to get her to date, so Maggie lied and she said she had a boyfriend although she did not. She described her boyfriend Allen, after Arlo the bartender. Now she had to convince Arlo to be her fake boyfriend. Arlo had no problem with Maggie's request as he has had a crush on her since she started working there. Arlo asks his boss if they both could have the weekend off. He planned on showing her he was the man for her. It was harder then he thought. Maggie wanted him but she couldn't have a relationship because she was career driven and couldn't have any distractions. After the weekend, Arlo explained he wouldn't get in her way of her career. That's exactly what he did. He stood by her side for years. Maggie realized she could have it all, a career and a marriage and even children.

ALL the stars. I give this book all the stars, and if I could give it more, I would. I loved Arlo and Maggie's story so much. Arlo is such a patient man with Maggie. He knows that she is the one for him and will stop at nothing until he gets her. Maggie is such a shy and kind soul. I wanted to be her friend. Their relationship starts as a fake one during one weekend, but Arlo won't let her go once the weekend ends. Will their relationship work? Or will Maggie still believe that she can't have her career and a family? The story is quirky and steamy. I loved every second of it so much that I will probably read it again soon. I would totally recommend this story to readers who love a good slow-burn novella with great characters. I promise you won't be able to put the book down.

Assistant cook Maggie (h) hopes to impress her boss at Wild Taste bar/restaurant where she works alongside bartender and Wild Riders MC biker Arlo (H). She’s avowed not to get involved in a romantic relationship, fearing that to do so would destroy her pastry chef dreams. When Maggie lies to her grandbaby hungry mother about her relationship status, Arlo gladly steps up to help her out and be her pretend boyfriend. Arlo has been dreaming about Maggie for months and is determined to do whatever he has to to convince the curvy girl that he’s the one for her and that her dreams are his dreams. Arlo is so sweet and charming, as he tries to make Maggie see they can have it all together, and with how he helps wrangle her mother. Sweet MC lite, curvy girl, mountain man biker romance with a side of heat
Maggie is a pastry chef at the club's restaurant. Arlo is one of the bartenders. They both like each other but neither has made a move. Maggie won't simply because she wants a career over everything else. Even with her mother on her case daily about settling down, she just won't. When she blurts out she has a boyfriend, she needs someone who looks just like she told her mother he did. Exactly like Arlo.
Arlo offers to be her fake boyfriend but only to win her over. As he works on winning her over and he thinks he finally has, will her career still be the most important thing for Maggie?
Can Maggie see she can have a career and a family before she looses the one person who can give her it all?.

Her parents have given him the perfect opportunity to show Maggie that she can have it all. His goal is for her to see that he is the best man for the job cause he can't picture a life without her. The fourth book of Sadie King's fabulous Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider's MC is the entertaining fake relationship romance Wild Curves. Arlo has wanted the cook and aspiring pastry chef Maggie since she started working at the restaurant where he bartends three months ago. The curvy gorgeous young woman is insanely shy, though - but when he discovers she told her mother she has a new boyfriend to get her off her back, he willingly offers to be her fake boyfriend. When Maggie's parents come to town, however, Arlo is determined to use the weekend to prove to Maggie that he's not playing pretend - and he'll never stand in the way of her having her cake and eating it too. A sweet and swoony short romance that is wonderfully entertaining.

This was a short, insta love romance with plenty of spice and dirty talk! I liked the reference to a ripe blueberry and cherry pie! I enjoyed Arlo and loved how he was determined to prove that Maggie could have both a career and a relationship. He’s wanted her for months, since she started at the restaurant, but he needs to get her to let her walls down and get out of her head. It got a little annoying how much she was insistent she couldn’t have a relationship with Arlo, how it would ruin her plans. But I loved when she finally let go and allowed Arlo in and allowed herself the happiness they both deserved. I can’t wait for Snips book next! Single dad, age gap, and plenty of steam- oh yes!!
Maggie is the new pastry chef at the Wild Riders restaurant. But she has a major problem with her mom. So her only goal on life is to be the best chef she can be. Arlo on the other hand, wants no one but Maggie. A weekend of being a false couple gives Maggie some fire but not in the way Arlo wants. I felt for Maggie and the way he mom was always about "yeah i know you love you job, but your job is to give me grandbabies". I mean. How could Maggie do her job and still give her mom what she wanted. I loved how she tried to shit down the chemistry between them until her mom had a word. Loved the story and the book and o can't wait for more on this series.
For years Maggie’s mother has been telling Maggie to give up on her dream of becoming a pastry chef and to find herself a husband, settle down and start a family. Now Maggie believes she can’t have both. Arlo has been attracted to the shy new chef at work since she started. So he doesn’t think twice about volunteering as her fake boyfriend when he hears Maggie’s parents are coming to town and that she lied about having a boyfriend to get her mother off her back. Maggie and Arlo are great together. Maggie is determined to see her dream and Arlo is more then ready to support her in whatever she wants to accomplish in life. A quick steamy story in this series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Maggie's mom has told her for years that she can't have a family and achieve her dream of being a pastry chef. Maggie wants that dream more than anything, including having a family of her own. But when the parents do a surprise visit, Arlo steps up to be her pretend boyfriend. It breaks Maggie's heart to find out what she will be missing, but she is determined to be a chef. Can Arlo convince her she can have both?
3.75 stars for me. The story and plot were there, but the continued focus on her appearance and apparent lack were frustrating.
Maggie is vying to become the new pastry chef, she does not have time for a guy. When her mom is badgering her about getting a man, she lies and tells her she has a boyfriend. She gets Arlo to pretend to be her boyfriend, but then he is talking about kissing, she is in over her head, her career comes first.
Arlo has had a thing for the shy Maggie since she started working at the restaurant, now this is his opportunity to make her his. As lines start to blur, will he be the one with a broken heart or will Maggie change her mind?.

I loved Wild Curves: A Fake Relationship Short Romance Book 4 of Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider's MC. Maggie needs a boyfriend for the weekend to get her mom off her back, enter Arlo. Arlo is happy to help Maggie but he wants forever not just a weekend. Unfortunately, she keeps pushing him away and he can’t understand why. This was a sweet story and I loved the characters. She’s shy and sweet while he’s outgoing and knows what he wants and that’s Maggie. It’s sweet because he wants to give her the whole world. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Maggie is tired of her mom harping on her about getting a man and having babies while ignoring the accomplishments she has made in the world of baking desserts. Arlo is the bar tender at the restaurant where Maggie works. Secretly , each has a thing for the other. Maggie has had enough and lies to her mom that she has a boyfriend. When her parents decide to visit Arlo seizes the chance to pretend to be her boyfriend thinking its his chance to win her over. This is a love story that doesn't follow the usual.formulas. Sadie King has written an endearing story for those of us who love a good happy ending.
Wild Curves is super sweet and ultra fun! Shy pastry chef Maggie is too cute for words—and far too hard on herself; an unfortunate side-effect of her mother’s smothering. Hunky bartender, Biker, and military veteran Arlo is stunning in his siungular desire to make Maggie his. Determined, blunt, and also charming, Arlo is so kind to everyone and refuses to let Maggie continue to dwell in her self-deprecating narrative. I adore how he addresses the situation with her mother and how he pursues her so relentlessly with heart and eyes filled with love. This he falls first and hard novella is a delicious treat on any day!
Such a sweet steamy read. Maggie is the shy girl who works in the kitchen at the Wild Hearts MC restaurant. Her main goal in life is to become a pastry chef. She has no time for a family. Arlo a member of the MC and bartender is determined to change her mind. When the opportunity to pretend to be her boyfriend comes around he figures this is his perfect opportunity. Great read. Expect steam, alpha male protector, hot chemistry and age gap romance.

Wow, another extraordinary story. What woman doesn’t want an exciting career but trying to figure out what you want most is beyond difficult. Maggie had her work which she loves and then enter Arlo, muscled, ex-military, biker who has to fake a romance with her, convince her parents and then almost loses her, but he won’t give up. He loves Maggie without measure and he gets his girl. Career and Family coming together is hard but if you want it you make it work. Thanks again for sharing. Onward to next story. J.
Aww! Arlo is the best, and he was just so sweet. I'm glad he did not give up on Maggie, and he fought for his love.
Maggie is a typical modern-day woman who is torn between having a career and a family. Arlo showed him that she can have both but he wanted to be there to support her. I loved that about him.

It takes careful action from Arlo and some changes on her mother's part for Maggie to ever see her life with a man in it. She always dreamed of being a top chef, and she could not picture a man in that lifestyle. Arlo was determined from the moment he set eyes on Maggie that she was the woman for him, and he was taking nothing less. Enjoy a fabulous quick read of a persistent man in love.

This is one of my favorite shorty series! Sadie King rocks! Arlo and Maggie had such chemistry together. Wonder what could have been if her mother hadn't planted such outrageous beliefs in her head over the years. 🤔 Arlo wasn't about to give up on her though. We all could use a guy like him (at least I could).
Can't recommend this book (or series) strongly enough. I did receive an ARC, and hope this voluntary review helps in your search for your next title. Happy Reading 📚
