For centuries I walked among my greatest creations in peace, while keeping a watchful eye on mankind from a distance. As a god, we weren’t supposed to intervene, but when Hade's jealousy over my precious Dire wolves and love for a mortal man grew, so did his threat to their world. As he plagued man with darkness and released his demons upon all I loved, I had no choice. I was a protector of the innocent, the light of darkness. I was Luna the goddess of the moon. I would do whatever I must, to save Thomas my mortal love, and my wolves, even if it meant fighting my brother into eternal banishment.
This story contains Profanity, sex, violence, and death, including the loss of children. It is pure fantasy for those who like dark romances, from authors with twisted minds, and who like to push limits. This is not a story for anyone easily triggered, or anyone under 18. The use of Mythology in this story and the whole Goddess of the Moon series was written with the use of my imagination and is probably not at all accurate.

This book is literal perfection. This story gave me Vikings feels.. Luna is the Goddess of the Moon. She was sent to the Mortal Realm and fell in love with Thomas. This book is their love story. And it is a freaking good one. She is a wolf and has a pack. There is darkness, her brother Hades has turned demon. They fight against the evil he sends. This book has everything. From love, family, friends, spice 🥵 and loss. I felt like i was reading a movie. It was so good! A must read!!!

Firstly, I haven’t read fantasy in over 10yrs, and now I may have to take a dive into it again!

Secondly, this story had it all! Wolves, witches, warlocks, hellhounds, and much more!

Thirdly, so much happened, it was fast paced, but so well written that it was easy to follow.

Lastly, This was a love story of trials and tribulations meant to tear them apart, but it only brought them closer. Shelly has a way of captivating you and keeping you wanting more…

First, let me say... I am not a big fantasy girl. (Always to much going on)
BUT.....
I absolutely loved this book. ( so that's saying something.❤️❤️
At first, I was confused as the character building was intense, and there is a lot of them(as with any fantasy).
This book is a dark fantasy romance that I can actually wrap my head around.

I am not going to get into it too much as I always end up spoiling the book.
Luna is a badass FMC and a true goddess, and her and Thomas are one fire!!!! The spice be spicen.

I can't wait to read the read of the series to see where Shelly takes us next.

I love Luna and Thomas love story. The trials these two face made there love even stronger. Shelly writing will have you mourning Luna loss just like I did. I just love the the way Shelly wrote this story. Some scene will hit your like a cannon ball. You have Hades that is Luna brother trying everything in his power to make Luna his. There are gods, goddess, vampires and werewolves what more could you ask for. I can't wait to see where this story will go. The cover and the chapter art is just gorgeous. The ending to this was just so heartfelt. The spice will leave you wanting some more.

This book is a unique take on the God's and I loved it! Luna the moon goddess is an amazing, caring, loving FMC. Thomas well he's a viking need I say more 😏🥵. Their love takes them on a battle fighting demons, vampires and hell hounds to save the earth realm. They endure so much but it only brings them closer. Can't wait to read book 2!

I absolutely enjoyed reading this! Shelly is one of my favorite authors and I will read anything she writes! This story follows Luna the goddess on her journey to discovering love, having betrayal, pain, heartache but being and finding the one person she is meant to be with and battling the evil that once was her brother. This was such a quick read I was hooked from beginning to end and I can’t wait for more!

What can I say about a book that has it all? Goddess of the Moon The Beginning is part of Shelly Grays Fantasy series. This is the first book and it is about Luna and Thomas and like I said it has it all. There are Goddesses', witches, wolves, demon hounds, and Hades the God of death. It is a dark romance fantasy book that has a lot of twists and turns. It is a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to know more. It is a book about two people that fall in love the moment they set eyes on each other. It is about their struggles and the many obstacles that they must overcome. It is a book about loss and pain and the sacrifices that one makes for the greater good. It's a book about how love can conquer all and it's a book that I will never stop recommending to anyone that loves to read. If you love a great book with a great story line, a book that has all the emotions, then you will definitely love this book. I gave this book a five-star because I just couldn't put it down and it has become my all time favorite fantasy book.

I really can’t believe I waited this long to read this book. I am usually not a fantasy reader, but as soon as I opened this book, I could not put it down. I shocked myself. There is so much going on in the realm of gods and in the realm of humans, it is a whirlwind. I completely did not expect the level of spices in this book. It was absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend I’m being serious when I say I just want everyone to read it !! You will fall in love with every single character ironically even the bad ones pull on your heartstrings because you know there’s goodness inside them somewhere. This book is spicy. This book is full of angst and love and lust betrayal heartbreak war shifting vampires, werewolves I mean, you name it, it’s in it.

I know this is the authors oldest piece of work and she has since grown since writing this. She is working on revisions. I would say where it falls short for me is the writing is a bit uneven; some scenes are longer and more descriptive while others need more developing. Lots of creatures and concepts are introduced really quickly which was a bit overwhelming for me. The plot is strong, dark fantasy with werewolves, witches, vampires, demons, mortals and immortals. Lots of emotion like grief, jealousy, anger, and betrayal. With it being fast paced,it keeps the story moving and building for something bigger. Luna is forced to step fully into her power to protect both the supernatural realm and the man she loves.

This book was a great introduction into the Goddess of the Moon series! I loved Luna and Thomas’s story and cannot wait to see what happens in the next book. This was a great fantasy read with gods, werewolves, vampires, witches, warlocks, and demons. Everything a fantasy girl could ask for! Plus the spice was spicing!

Overall, I would rate this book 4.5 stars! I read it in a day and did not want to put it down. I would give the spice 3 🌶️s. The plot was very fast paced which I loved though sometimes I did get a little confused with some plot points but it didn’t impact the story too much!

I would definitely recommend this story to anyone looking for their next spicy fantasy read!

I LOVED this book! Fast paced, almost every fantasy being you could imagine, good plot! This one is a spicy adventurous read but it’s also not OVERDONE if your not a well seasoned spice reader 😂❤️

I love the way Hades, the moon goddess Luna, and even Loki are presented in this story. Felt very unique, intriguing and authentic! Can’t wait to jump into book 2!
