An accidental shooting between gangs in East L.A. brings swift payback, tragically resulting in two deaths, one hitting too close to home for Frank Trujillo, father of Oscar, who was involved in the shooting. To hide Oscar from certain death, Frank quickly sends his son off to a friend, who manages a guest ranch deep in the middle of Idaho. Oscar, a true L.A. gang teenager, finds that life with cowboys on a guest ranch is radically different than what he is used to and struggles to fit in. In L.A., it’s a race for the other gang to figure out where Oscar has disappeared, and Oscar’s new girlfriend, JoJo, is tricked into giving information away. It all comes to a brutal climax, far away at the ranch, when ranch hands try to protect the young Latino gang member, from the rival L.A. gang coming up to kill him.
