Normally I like Deadpool's crazy antics, however this one just missed the mark for me. I found it to be just plain boring, which is actually kind of an accomplishment if you think about it, I mean it is a comic with Deadpool and Venom together, how could it possibly be boring?
It felt like it was trying too hard to throw in every Deadpool trope possible in under 30 pages. Normally Deadpool's crazy makes sense in a weird way, but this story just kind of jumped around and kept jumping to different scenarios to allow Deadpool to make more digs at Marvel (admittedly one of the more fun aspects of Deadpool, but only when it makes sense, not just for the sake of doing it).
At the end of the day, the story just wasn't interesting to me. There wasn't even that much about Venom in it, it was mostly Deadpool, just in a different costume. If I am constantly checking to see how many pages I have left on something that is less than 30 pages, that is not a good sign. To be fair though, I did kind of like the ending, but it was just a bit too late to save the whole issue for me.
Man this was a steaming pile! Deadpool getting the venom symbiote and what does he do with it? He grows an Afro and…. Time travels? Or atleast the story takes place over several decades idk This story was nonsensical and boring and it was a real waste of talents
Wow, this was just stupid. I'm not a big fan of Deadpool anyway, but I thought maybe I'd try this. (I'm trying to meet my 2019 reading challenge goal, and comics are a great way to do that)
It just wasn't funny to me. At all. I know Deadpool has a very specific brand of humour but this just seemed like overkill. Nearly every line was a joke , and it was ridiculous at times. Also, the racial stereotypes....oof. I cringed.
Not much else to say. I didn't like it, but maybe others will.
Okay, imagine everything you knew about the Venom symbiote was from the toy aisle of Target, and everything you knew about Wade Wilson was from the Honest Trailer for Deadpool (2016). Now, imagine someone told you to write a story about Venom taking over Deadpool instead of Spider-Man, except actually later you have to offhandedly tell the readers it was the Carnage symbiote maybe (?) and not actually Venom, even though this is nominally a “What If?” about Venom. Then, imagine you also have to shoehorn in the Watcher, Galactus, the Beyonder, Iron Man, Captain America, MODOK, and an assortment of pop culture references, other heroes, and comic events from the 80s, 90s, and 00s.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to make sense or be at all narratively compelling! Because Deadpool! People are just here for teh lulz and the violence! You can just spin out and smash headfirst into the fourth wall and call it a day! Because Deadpool! lol... as u can see he’s very random!!!! *holds up spork* DOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <--- him bein random again ^_^ hehe…toodles!!!!!

You know how you feel right now after reading this review go off the rails and into a 14-year-old copypasta? That is almost exactly how I felt after reading the last panel of this comic.
Lokasi: Earth 615,9.
Living da vida loca Venompool dan Beyonder ternyata berlangsung sepuluh tahun!, and somewhere along the way mereka merekrut Tony Stark juga!
P.S. Senjata paling kuat di universe ini adalah The Cube of Continuity. P.P.S. Venompool worthy of Mjolnir P.P.P.S. Errr... endingnya...
I love the "What If?..." series of Marvel books. This has to be one of my all-time faves. The tongue-in-cheek "Merc with a Mouth" attitude carries throughout the entire book, bleeding into other characters and shaping the whole dimension (Earth 615.9, not the typical, boring Earth 616 where we all exist) in which the Venom symbiote possessed Deadpool in, "THE MOST INCREDIBLE STORY EVER TOLD!"
A must-read for any fan of Deadpool or the "What If?..." series.
Really not much to this, but I wasn't expecting much, so I wasn't really disappointed. The story really has little to do with the symbiote and plays out very similarly to the Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe story arc. Interesting in that it deals with attacking the conventions of comic books ("Venompool" uses a "retcon" gun in it), but other than those things, not too impressed. I feel like a lot more could have been done, but enjoyable to an extent.
This is a very interesting Deadpool read! The story starts with deadpool completing a job and going to get his pay day, he has a gruesome but hilarious run in with Spider-man, and Venom rubs onto him. You are than left with a Deadpool Symbiote. This story is funny humorous and a great deadpool read!
