Clara Landry hates her job. When her boss informs her she needs to transfer to The Cities from her office at Lake Michigan she decides it's a good time to quit and to start her dream business selling her art at a small artisan shop in Strawberry Sands. The decision would be a no-brainer, except she's been in love with her boss for years. But he doesn't know and wouldn't be interested in her. Getting out is the best choice.

Alexander Hudson has become a ultra successful businessman, making millions with his investments and shrewd business sense. He pretty much raised himself since his parents were in and out of his life. He determined at a young age to "make something of himself" and break the cycle. What he's found is that he's not any happier at the top than he was while he was on the bottom. The one ray of sunshine in his life is his administrative assistant, Clara Landry, and she's just informed him that she's quitting.

Alexander doesn't want to lose her.

So he follows her to Strawberry Sands, and what he finds there will change his life forever.

Could it be love?

"There I Find Love" is a captivating novel that skillfully weaves together themes of personal growth, pursuing one's dreams, and the complexities of unrequited love. The author, through the lens of Clara Landry's life, paints a vivid picture of the internal struggle many can relate to - the clash between professional obligations and personal aspirations. As Clara navigates the daunting prospect of leaving behind a job to pursue her passion, readers are taken on an emotional journey filled with courage, self-discovery, and the pursuit of happiness.

The book masterfully explores the delicate emotions that come with unrequited love, as Clara finds herself caught in the throes of affection for her boss. The author's nuanced portrayal of Clara's internal dilemma and her ultimate decision to prioritize her own happiness over her feelings is both relatable and inspiring. Clara's journey serves as a powerful reminder that taking risks and embracing change can lead to unexpected opportunities for self-fulfilment and personal success while exploring her faith.

Set against the backdrop of Lake Michigan and the charming Strawberry Sands, the book creates a vivid sense of place that adds depth to the narrative. The author's descriptive prose transports readers to the small town where Clara aspires to sell her art, making it easy to immerse oneself in the world of the characters.

"There I Find Love" is a heartwarming and thought-provoking novel that tugs at the heartstrings while also igniting a sense of hope. The characters' genuine struggles and triumphs, coupled with the evocative writing style, make this book a compelling read for anyone who appreciates stories of self-discovery, love, and the pursuit of dreams while staying true to Christian values In an age where finding one's true path can be a challenge, this book serves as a beacon of inspiration, reminding us all to embrace change, follow our passions, and, above all, find love and contentment with God’s guidance.

I was given an ARC of this book and this review is my own thoughts.

She finally admitted she'd had a crush on him for 7 years

I truly love these gentle read romances. Even though you KNOW they are inevitably going to fall in love, I still read the whole book just to make sure!

Alex and Clara’s story is one that touches my heart, imparts both wisdom and insight also offering inspiration. Clara has a talent that she has downplayed most of her life. Her job as Alex’s assistant has been demanding, financially and professionally rewarding, but is not exactly fulfilling. Her crush on her boss has kept her in place for seven years, but with the encouragement of family and friends, she may finally be brave enough to quit her job and open her own shop to focus on her art. Alex wants to make another big move with his company that would take her even farther away from her family and Strawberry Sands if she went with him as he expects. Clara hasn’t made any firm decision, but seeing people liking and more importantly buying her art definitely has her thinking more about what will make her happier. It may not be working for Alex.

Alex is in a panic to hear that his trusted assistant may be leaving him. Though he has yet to admit to himself, losing Clara would not be just a loss to him professionally, but also personally. A rough childhood has driven Alex to prove himself professionally, but has left him very guarded and slow to trust personally. He has learned that everyone leaves, at least in his experience, and Clara seems to be about to do the same. This time he can’t bear to let the person closest to him go. He follows her to Strawberry Sands and that decision changes his life in so many ways. In Strawberry Sands, Alex finds his faith again, allows God to guide his path and discovers his priorities in life have changed. He finds not only love with Clara, but a community that will not only welcome him, but also offer friendship and support.

Jessie has given her readers another wonderful book to savour and inspire. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Clara hates cities and has only kept her job in Chicago for so long because of her boss. And her first love is art, not being an administrative assistant. When Alex talks of expanding to The Cities and taking her with him, it seems a good time to quit and see whether she can make a living back home. But the idea of her leaving makes Alex realise how important having her around is to him. A plan to move to her hometown, Strawberry Sands, is only meant to be temporary, while he convinces her to stick with him. But as he gets to know the town - and Clara - better, he begins to wonder whether he's got his priorities wrong...

I loved the relationship between these two - it was just so heart-warming. They have some great conversations and really feel like they get to know each other as people. Better still, they make each other better people. And the example of someone who hears what God says we should be doing in life and actually goes to try to put it into practice in their lives? It shouldn't be as unusual as it feels like it is (speaking as someone who's no good at it). Throw in some development of the secondary series threads, some further interaction with earlier couples, and a glimpse of who the next book will be about, and it's a great continuation of the series. Note that, while the main romance stands alone, other parts of the story do rely on previous books, so this series is best read in order.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

Another wonderful story in this series that takes place alone the shores of Lake Michigan in a small town called Strawberry Sands Beach. In this story Clara Landry who grew up in Strawberry Sands has a job working for a successful businessman in Chicago. When he plans on opening a new branch in the Cities, he wants her to move further away from her family and the beach town she loves. Clara is seriously considering leaving her job to pursue a dream of selling her art work in her own shop in Strawberry Sands. She does a trial run at the town Strawberry festival to see how her paintings are received. She also has had a crush on her employer Alexander Hudson for the seven ears she has worked for him. She has seen him date many successful women and feels that he would never take notice of her.

Alexander Hudson has worked hard all of his life to overcome his difficult family upbringing. With a mother in prison and a father who died in prison, he had determined at a young age to not follow in their footsteps. He doesn't trust many people and he has no close connections to anyone but he feels safe around his administrative assistant Clara. When he overhears a rumor that she is considering quitting, he determines to make any changes needed to not lose her in his life. So he shows up in Strawberry
Sands on the day of the festival and discovers her love for painting. Alexander will make whatever changes it takes in his life to keep Clara close to him, even moving to Strawberry Sands. He realizes she means more to him than he even realized.

This story can be read as a stand alone but there are continuing characters and situations that carry over from book to book. Reading them in order would probably make the most sense. There is also a small peak at what is coming in the next story.

I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.

Rich, successful businessman Alexander Hudson is frantic when he realizes his assistant Clara Landry might be leaving. Clara, who has secretly had a crush on her boss for seven years has decided it is time to pursue her art in her hometown of Strawberry Sands. Alex realizing that his life (not just his business) may suffer if she leaves goes to the small town in time to see her selling her artwork at a festival. He is stunned by her talent and by how little he really knows about her. Soon begins the tentative, and endearingly sweet budding of a romance between two lonely people who it turns out really need each other. I loved this story and the gentle way Jessie Gussman unfolds each character as they try to figure out what they want and what God wants for them. Alexander is such a wonderfully awkward character with a touching backstory. It is understandable that Clara would fall in love with him. His coming back to knowing Christ and changing, as a result, is a lovely and important part of the novel. Other characters that we have grown to love in the series are nicely woven into the story including the subplot of the homeless girl Becky and the mysterious white dog that moves through the town. I am now completely hooked on Jessie’s new series. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

This story got my attention from the first page. Alex Hudson is a powerful business man, but he doesn't understand his own feelings. His efforts to expand his business have placed such demands on his faithful secretary, Clara Landry, that she is considering leaving her job. Learning that she might leave causes him to realize how much she means to him. He decides to try to get to know her better, and comes to Strawberry Sands, her hometown. Attending church with Clara leads Alex to fully commit to following God, and to change his direction in life.
Clara has had a a long time crush on Alex, and recognizes his fine qualities. This new behavior of his is very confusing for her. Because of her position as his employee, and Alex's own inability to know how to communicate, she is uncertain about their relationship.
Their ability to talk calmly and become vulnerable with each other eventually allows them reach an understanding of their growing feelings for one another.
This is really a story about how two individuals who are each willing to trust God and obey Him can come grow together. This is one of my favorite quotes, when Alex tells Clara, "Maybe it's not about how you feel about me, but about how I act towards you."
I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion. I recommend this book very much!

I enjoyed this sweet and clean romance between Clara Landry and her millionaire boss Alexander Hudson. Alex is a successful, workaholic businessman. He has a few secrets regarding a difficult childhood and is focused on living a successful life, except one day he realizes that being "successful" is lonely and doesn't make him happy. When he overhears that Clara, his long-time assistant, is possibly quitting her job, Alex panics and realizes he can't live without her. Alex travels to Strawberry Sands to find Clara and is surprised to find she's happy, has many friends, and her lifestyle is so much more than he realized. What's a boss to do? Can Clara see something more than a working relationship between herself and her boss? Could they--for just a few minutes--relate as equals, rather than a millionaire and his hassled and harried administrative assistant? And therein lies the theme of this tender-hearted and inspirational story. I enjoyed the honest, heart-to-heart conversations between Alex and Clara. What is Alex willing to give up to pursue a life that honors God with a woman he's realizing he can't live without? I highly recommend this clean romance. It's a stand-alone book worth reading. I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.

There I Find Love is another uplifting sweet romance by Jessie Gussman. As Clara and her boss Alex tiptoe around their I acknowledged mutual attraction, Clara heads to Strawberry Sands to offer her paintings at the Strawberry Festival. Ready to move to the Twin Cities, Alex hears water cooler rumors about Clara possibly making a move home to Strawberry Sands permanently. Re—evaluating his priorities, Alex follows her for the weekend. Finding it a bit tricky to navigate their boss/employee status, the two of them consider a number of different endeavors before they make any decisions. Will Alex purchase a mansion or a decrepit schoolhouse? Will his business stay in Chicago; move to Wisconsin; or settle in Strawberry Sands? With whom will the orphaned Becky stay? Will Clara open her own gallery or keep working for Alex? Will Grams live with Alex or find another elder care facility? Who will eat the last strawberry tart Elliot made for the festival? All of this and more in There I Find Love!

He’s never really felt love or being loved.
This is the story of Clara and Alex. Clara had been raised in the small town of Strawberry Sands surrounded by people she knew and loved and they loved her. Alex had not experienced love in his life except from an uncle who took an interest in Alex, even giving him a job as a teenager. Now Alex is a successful business man with Clara as his assistant. When Alex overhears a conversation indicating Clara could be quitting, he realizes he can’t let that happen. Following her to Strawberry Sands, where she is staying for a long weekend, he soon finds himself surrounded by people who care. When he attends church with Clara, he is reminded of the lessons he learned as a child and change begins to take place within him. Still, he has a business to run and Clara is a part of that but she wants to stay in Strawberry Sands. It will take all of his business sense to make things work. Please note: this book is a Christian themed novel and has doctrinal discussion. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

This is the third book in the Strawberry Sands series but easily stands alone.

Clara is administrative assistant to wealthy businessman Alex. She has had a secret crush on him for years. But when he decides to expand his business quite a distance from Clara’s hometown and family, Clara has to decide whether to quit and pursue her painting as a career or move with Alex. When Alex hears rumors that Clara may leave him, Alex realizes that he has come to depend on Clara as much more than a secretary. When she goes home for a long weekend, Alex follows her to try to talk her into not quitting but finds himself deciding to downsize and relocate to the small town instead of the distant city. Is there a chance Alex has more than a business interest in Clara?

This story has wonderful characters, including some minor characters. I am looking forward to following their stories in future books in this series. As in all of Jessie Gussman’s books, godly principles are displayed.

I received a copy of this book from the author. My review is voluntary and unbiased.

Alex is an incredibly successful businessman who can be a little intimidating, especially when he's your boss. Clara has been his administrative assistant for the past seven years and when she starting to consider moving back to Strawberry Sands instead of to The Cities, Alex needs to find a way to keep her as his assistant. When he makes the decision to move his business headquarters to Strawberry Sands, his life will never be the same. Not only does he not want to lose Clara as a his assistant, he doesn't want to lose her in his life. . . EVER!

As Alex lets Clara see the details of his past, she sees him in a different light and likes what she sees. Is it possible that there could be more to their relationship than just coworkers?

This is a clean, wholesome romance with a happy ending from the Strawberry Sands Beach romance series.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

Carla is finally convinced to put her paintings up for sale I the Strawberry Sands Festival, and sells more than she ever thought she could. Her boss in Chicago realizes he really can't do without her, and drives to Strawberry Sands, and buys all of her paintings. After looking at homes and different places to buy, Alex sees her eyes light up when they visit her elementary school. The following week he buys it for cash and closes his business. On a drive to get his gram they talk seriously and discover they really do love each other. Dixie finds out his father is cheating and is terribly confused, Becky opens up and the town loves her. Becky has decided she wants Luke and Kristen to be her parents, while Luke tells her this she stands there gobsmacked. Excellent story, and would live to see Chi realize Griff loves her to pieces.

Clara has had a crush on her boss, Alex, for the entire 7 years she's worked for him. He's asked her to move to work for him in the cities, and she doesn't want to move from her small, hometown of Strawberry Sands. When he realizes he likes her for more than an executive assistant, Alex goes to Strawberry Sands to talk her into moving. What he doesn't expect, is to fall in love with Strawberry Sands, and remember his walk with Jesus. This book spoke to me. I loved that both Clara and Alex were working on the assumption that a boss / employee relationship was taboo. I love how they discover their feelings for each other. I love how they handle their lives to make their relationship work. I love what each has been through and who they decide to be. This book was a great show of what a small town does for each person in the community.

This is the 3rd book in the Strawberry Sands series and my favorite so far. This story is about Clara and Alexander. Landry left Strawberry Sands to work as an administrative assistant to Alex. During the years she's work for him she begins to care for him but not the city. When he tells her she will need to transfer she decides it might be time to quit and move back home and start selling her art.
Alex knows he needs Clara so he visits Strawberry Sand where he finds out about Clara's art and decides to buy property there to run his business from and also support her and her art business.
Watching the changes Alex makes really brought home how everyone needs to stop sometimes and evaluate where we are in life and look at changes we need to make to be happy and to continue with our best life to support ourselves and others who matter to us.

There I Find Love is a clean, Christian romance. It tells the story of the developing relationship between Clara and Alex. There are Godly thoughts and references to what is expected of us as children of God.

My favorite part of this story is in Chapter 12. Clara was talking to Alex about her belief in God and she said "...just look at the lake... Look at the storms rolling in... To believe that it just happened out of nothing takes so much more faith than it does to believe that there is a God that controls it all." I've read that thought several times and it moves me every time.

There's a lot more to this story and I recommend it for anyone that likes Christian romance. Also, there's a hint that Becky won't be homeless much longer, which eased my mind.

I was given an ARC of this book from the author but this review is my honest opinion given voluntarily.

There I find Love ~ Strawberry Sands Beach #3 by Jessie Gussman.
I have been following this series from the very beginning and I have found and although I have loved them, each book is better than the last. If that is at all possible.
I love the way Jessie writes, her characters always feel very real, and the storyline could be true life.
There I find Love is written brilliantly, and the storyline continues with the mystery of the homeless little girl, though questions are now being asked.
The main characters are Clara and her boss Alex, Clara has had a crush on him while working for him for the last seven years. Alex suddenly turns up in Strawberry Sands, unbeknown to him that Clara has a talent for painting.
Will Clara and Alex get their HEA?
This book is just amazing and a must-read, and I highly recommend it to all.

Loved Clara and Alexander's story. Clara loved her hometown and just didn't know how to tell her boss she wouldn't be following him to the city to keep her job. Alexander got wind of her intent to quit and knew he had to do something drastic. He didn't want to lose Clara in his life. He decided to move his business to her hometown and refurbish Clare's favorite buildings for his home and business location, the old school house she had went to school at. I read this all in one sitting until I hit 99% and then I stopped. I didn't want the book to end. There was more going on with little Becky and The whole town was involved. I just let the book set for a couple days and let the story savor in my thoughts. If you like clean heartfelt stories, you can't go wrong with 'There I Find Love'. I highly recommend. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.

Heartwarming and inspirational story of Clara and her intimidating, high profile, workaholic city boss, Alex. Powering through in growing his business, he assumes she will move with him to the cities. She wants to be closer to her family. While working alone on a Saturday, he realizes he needs her and comes up with a way she will still work for him. Arriving in Strawberry Sands to tell her, he is introduced to a whole new way of life where people care for each other. Will God lead him into different priorities? Amusing to see him exposed to the Strawberry Sands way of life, less chaotic, and slower paced. Can he slow down and let God lead or will he continue to depend on himself to power through? Loving characters make this a good read.

Received an ARC and this is my honest review.

I loved this book, the story of Clara and her long-time crush Alexander Hudson. Clara, an assistant to Alex for 7 years and is trying to decide if she wants to continue working with him. That is when it finally hits him what he feels for Clara. I loved the way that Jessie adds so much importance in trusting in God to make decisions and the wisdom as well: ‘I guess I’ve learned enough to know what I don’t know nearly as much as I thought I know when I started, and I will never know it all.’ How true is this in life. I love Clara and Alex together and the relationship that they developed and how surprised he was at how talented Clara is and he didn’t even know it after 7 years. I love the side stories about others in the small town. This is such a great series and I highly recommend it!

Back in Strawberry Sands, Clara Landry is realizing that she can make a go with her paintings and an art gallery showcasing them. She’s just not sure how to tell her boss, Alexander Hudson, who she has been working under for the past 7 years and has had a crush on for just as long. When Alex hears a rumor that Clara might be quitting, he tracks Clara down in her hometown. After spending a day there and attending church, Alex starts to reevaluate his life and what is truly important. Is losing his administrative assistant really going to be that bad? Or does Alex realize that there are more feelings there than just boss and employee? Catching up with orphaned Becky and the rest of the Strawberry Sands residents is always a treat for these books.

Clara had worked for her boss Alexander Hudson for seven years as his administrative assistant. She didn’t like living in Chicago she wanted to be back in Strawberry Sands where here family was. But the problem was she was secretly falling for her boss. Alexander hears quite by accident that she is thinking of quitting and he can’t let this happen.

One weekend she had a booth at a festival in Strawberry Sands she was selling her paintings. When Alexander shows up there. Things begin to change quickly after he arrives. He ends up staying at Clara’s mom Lena’s bed and breakfast and is introduced to Clara’s whole family. Can a big city businessman settle in a small town?

There I Find Love is the third book in Jessie Gussman's series set in Strawberry Sands Beach, and it's Clara's and Alex's story. Alex is a well-to-do business-savvy entrepreneur who is emotionally disconnected. Clara is his personal assistant. Their relationship has been completely professional until the day Alex discovers that she's possibly leaving him. What follows is a sweet and endearing story of Alex's attempts at understanding his feelings for Clara, wooing Clara, and trying to understand her feelings and reactions to his efforts. The story has wonderful godly wisdom and life lessons without being preachy. Added bonuses are the side stories of other community members, and horseback rides on the beach at sunset. A delightful read!

A delightful story following Alexander Hudson's relocation to Strawberry Sands to follow the best administrative assistant Alex had ever known. Clara Landry had become indispensable to him and when he heard the rumour that she wanted to quit, he reassessed his plans for the future. Clara, a talented artist, was unsure of her future pathway but didn't want to leave the employ of Alex, who she had worked for over seven years. What follows is a lovely engaging story.
l think it is my favourite Jessie Gussman book so far as it is such a sweet, uplifting story and l really fell for Clara and Alex. Plus who wouldn't want to live in Strawberry Sands.....it sounds idyllic for both it's location and inhabitants.

My favorite book so far of the Strawberry Sands series! I thoroughly enjoyed every second that I spent in this book! I was actually there with Clara, her family, the lake, the beautiful horses, and Clara’s boss, Alex, with whom she’s really been in love with for several years. He’s been in love with her, too, but it really never dawned on him what life might be like without her until he overheard two girls talking at the water cooler! You HAVE to get this amazing story of how the Lord flipped this guy’s life upside down and in a snap! It is absolutely DIVINE!! Don’t let this one slip by you! It’s a keeper!! ♥️

Jessie, you have written another beautiful chapter in the wonderful people who live in Strawberry Sands. this time we get to see how Clara fares when she is met with a dilemma of moving farther away from home with a boss she has almost fallen in love with. Their sojourn into her territory opens his eyes to what Clara really represents. Can he change himself and his ideals to support and work with Clara to create another life outside of what he has become used to? After a few bumps in the road it seems to be working out pretty well, then along comes another glitch. You must read this episode of this community to see where it leads. Excitement and new findings await you.

“Sometimes love is sacrifice. Sometimes love is change. Sometimes love means giving up. Sometimes love means letting go.”

“People didn’t have to light up the whole world. They only had to light their corner of it.”

I adored how this book started! The grumpy boss and free spirited employee held a great dynamic. I did not want to put it down. I also loved getting more depth about the teenager Becky hanging around Strawberry Sands. I love these side stories that develop throughout the series. There was a great small town dynamic and the fact that repentance necessitates changed action.

Jesus changes everything!

I enjoyed how Alex let Jesus completely change his life without fighting against God’s will. Clara’s influence helped bring him to the place he was ready to listened to the Lord. Sweet!

Clara and Alex’s attraction to each other was tender as it had been growing slowly over the years. Alex’s background was heart-breaking but really shaped him. In,Ike’s that they didn’t really fight their feelings, just needed to know how the other felt.

A clean, wholesome story with good Biblical advice. I received a complimentary copy and these are my voluntary and honest opinions.

I loved how both Alexander and Clara went after what they wanted - but not at anyone else's expense. Clara hated big city life and wanted to take her art further and live back in her home town. Alexander is on a treadmill - always striving to be better, do better, earn more until her realises it isn't making him happy, Clara does and she is leaving. Alexander decides to move his office to where Clara is, little realising that he will have his eyes opened to what is important. Can't wait to read the next book to find out what will happen with Becky choosing Luke and Kristen! I received an ARC but this review is my own.

'There I Find Love' was sweet. The charming page-turning plot was filled with unfortunate family dynamics while growing up, treasuring loved ones, bits of hilarity, spirituality, altruism, and love. Clara and Alexander, the protagonists, hemmed and hawed, yet they tried their best to reach their HEA. They were made for each other. Also, I liked the author's vividness which created an upbeat tone Interestingly though, the author gave the readers an admonishment on diversity, "The idea of diversity making us stronger is not necessarily a true statement.” Nevertheless, I liked the beautifully written narrative.
