Julie got the answers about the lineage she was searching for. Now she must live up to her rediscovered family name.
Resisting her mom’s ideas for the “perfect” wedding while finding her place outside OPMA is going to take every ounce of willpower she can muster.
Nimue’s capture should have poured cold water on the rebellion. Should being the operative word. But Nimue’s supporters aren’t done causing trouble…
It’s a good thing Julie has glutes of steel to go with her shiny spine.
Queen Esmerelda appointing Julie to the Eternal Council makes the prospect of a quiet night of wedding planning with her petrichor prince look like a distant dream.
Before Julie can get herself on solid ground as the Lunar Fae councilor, a diplomatic opportunity takes her and Taylor to the edge of Avalon in the hopes of avoiding all-out war.
Are the Drow the bloodthirsty menaces their previous encounters have led Julie to believe? Or is there a more sinister explanation for their apparent enmity?
Only one thing is certain. Julie must succeed in navigating the political waters or she’ll be run aground far from home.
A long time ago I was born in Los Angeles. That's where I spent many of my formative years. After I became an adult, I moved around for a bit before ending up in a small town in Oregon, very similar to Bailey's hometown. Greenhearth is fake, if you haven't already Googled that, but it's like many small towns with less than 1,000 people.
My pets... I love animals, especially my two even if they do create havoc in my daily life. I have a cat, named Snowstorm, Storm for short. Then I have a rescue, Josephine. She's a Labradoodle - I think. It's hard to say but it's the best I can come up with.
What I'm working on... I'm already working on the next book in the series - was working on it before Bad Attitude came back from editing. And now that it has released, need to stay on track with A Bit Aggressive.

When I first found this series it seemed like an interesting read, urban fantasy with access to a paranormal world, all types of different species, magic and a supernatural police force. Some things go against the normal – unicorns are vicious and fairies aren’t cute but violent. It’s certainly not dull. There is also an undercurrent of the Arthurian legend, starting with the premiss that Arthur was a Fae. This book starts with Taylor finally proposing to Julie and Rosa finding out Julie is not her natural daughter. As far as Rosa is concerned, Jule is her daughter no matter what and she’s more focussed on the wedding planning. Poor Julie. Then there is the ceremony to send Nimue to the prison realm which is disrupted by an attack by the drow. After the battle, Queen Esmerelda decides something must be done and that Julie will lead a diplomatic mission to the royalty of the drow about an alliance. With Taylor as the diplomatic liaison, Bianca as head of her guard and the High Magical Team as support, off they go. There is a surprising amount of action in this book as well as further growth of both Julie’s and Eggy’s powers. There is also suspense, humour (the wedding planning is sort of getting out of hand) and a big surprise right at the end. I’m starting the next book right away to see the results of that surprise. It was a quick, easy, fun read.
I really like this series. I think at this point anybody who has read 10 books in one series more than likely means you are in it until the end. Maybe that is why I was a bit disappointed with how book #11 was a bit lacking. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the part where she discovers more of her powers, but the story was just 1 long drawn-out event. Maybe it is because we are used to each book covering like 3 different events happening that for this to just have 1 thing it made the book feel so long. Also, I don't know why the blurb is saying she knows her lineage when she still doesn't really know. Yes, she knows her species, but she still doesn't know any of her history, who her parents are or anything. I will still read the next book but how many books are in this series? I'm ready for it all to come to a head.
The books in this series just keep on going strong. Both surprising me, and amazing me but, mostly, totally entertaining me! Lol
Julie is being more than she was, here, as she travels to the Drow, in order to bring them back into Partnership with Avalon.
But, as is Julie's usual life, she uncovers things that cause a Civil War among the Drow- although there's not much Civility about it!
There are plenty of battles, and Julie finds out some things that will change her life, once again!
I'm going straight on to Book 12 of this massively entertaining series: 'Councillor', to find out more about Julie's new-found family &, once I've finished the book, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it!
Julie, Taylor and their group go on a trip to start a treaty with the drow, as usual, things do not go as planned. Julie also meets a new group that all turn out to be Lunar Fae and they promise to help her learn more about her magic. This is a great series, it is fun to watch Julie grow and also to get to learn about the other paranormals is the series.
An absolutely enjoyable and remarkable series!!!!!
Congratulations to Renee Jagger and Michael Anderle for this intriguing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in their stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
There are so many story lines that I marvel at the authors’ ability to keep them all straight and consistent. Julie’s first official foray into diplomacy is a cracking good story. Progress is made with reaching her full power, Eglantine moves closer to hatching, new friends are made, and there is a nice surprise at the end.
Our main POV is off on her first official quest and boy is it a doosy. Reuniting with a missing realm, stopping a civil war & finding your roots for our POV, that's all in a day's work. Now what she going to do when she finds out what magical line she comes from and how fast will chaos descend again.
Omg I can't say much without running the story. But let's say when the hmd remove thier helmet and clocks it was a shocker. And the fight Julie is in this time is epic. Only problem I have to wit for the next book.
This amazing story gets harder harder to wait for the next book!
Once again, I can't keep my nose out of this book! Of course it's over to fast. Taylor and Julie are officially engaged and since her mom knows about Julie and Taylor, she spends more time with them
Unlike the other books in this series, this one took you on a much needed side trip that did add to the overall series story. Loved the change of scenery but happy to see what will happen next in Avalon.
