I was a convert to the CAGED System before this book but it is indeed ULTIMATE. It addresses all the false narratives and straw-man arguments regarding the system — best of all it's the kind of guitar system that allows you to learn something at any level of experience. You can make it as easy or as complex as you want it to be and works for any style of music. I use it for my own edification and get ideas for my guitar students.
Skip the false narratives and excuses from people who are set in their ways who don't know any better, and purchase this book. It will make you a better guitarist regardless of the style of music. A chord is a chord, an arpeggio is an arpeggio, and a scale is a scale regardless of what kind of music you play.
