Tessa I never thought I would meet the love of my life while waving a sign on a street corner.
Miles Could the person I’m searching for be the same one I drive past every day?
When Tessa gets a job as a sign waver, she doesn’t expect to fall for the cute fireman that works a block away. She spends every day hoping he’ll drive by and she can get the courage to talk to him. She doesn’t know that he’s also looking for an excuse to talk to her. Could bad timing and a hornet be exactly what they need?
no like the whole book was them staring at each other and then they go on one date and are talking about soulmates like surely slow down a little like that’s bonkers
I picked up "Looking for a Sign" by Aja Jorgensen during a Stuff Your Kindle Day, and it was a quick, lighthearted read. The meet-cute story of a sign waver and a firefighter had its charming moments, but the simplicity and brevity of the book left me wanting more.
The narrative felt rushed, with some humorous but implausible instances that didn't quite fit. I wished for more character development and depth, but the short length didn't allow for it.
If you're looking to pad your Goodreads goal or need a brief, feel-good read, this might fit the bill. However, readers seeking a more substantial romance may find themselves underwhelmed.
Super cute premise to the book and was a nice surprise that it was short, I like being able to finish books in one sitting but it’s not common for me! It was a bit rushed at the end but I think maybe part of it is the length of the story and it’s meant to be that way? So I didn’t love the writing at the end.
This is a super short read about a firefighter and a sign waver. To people you don’t think would cross paths but is super sweet cheeky cute read. They are adorable, I actually wish it was a little longer. May need some recommendations. I like the storyline and the characters
This one start was tough for me to award, but it's pretty true how I felt reading it. I didn't mind that the book was short, but the story was incredibly rushed, and the writing wasn't well done either. Most of the book is waiting for the two to interact. When they do, the "chemistry" is forced and odd. There were some strange dialogues, and by the end of the book, they were declaring each other soulmates. (Insane???) It took me less than an hour to read this book, and I'll be honest, this is one of the first times I wished I had passed. This may be the author's first attempt at writing, which is fair. At the same time, I couldn't get behind this one.
A sweet short story about Tessa, a sign waver and Miles, a firefighter. There is a connection between them from the first time that their eyes meet in the street in passing. Miles saves Tessa from a fire and they finally get to meet properly, instead of sharing glances only. This is a charming, clean novella which I wish was a page or two longer as the ending felt incomplete.
This was the perfect Sunday in between read, but I would definitely recommend it if you're just looking for a cute shorter read. This is the first book I've read by this author, but I loved the characters, the way they were described, and will have to see if there are other books I need to read.
This was so cute. It's a short story so unique that I had no idea where it was going, and that's a good thing. Tessa and Miles were fun, and I liked Miles' "family". I would have liked to have read more about all of them.
Short and sweet meet-cute story. A bit overly simplified for my taste, and with some ridiculous and funny instances, it probably felt like it was too much in very little time with it being so short rather than a full book.
"I might sound crazy but I've been drawn to you from the first time I saw you. You were dancing like a goof with your sign and we made eye contact and I just felt an instant connection".
I got this very short book from Stuff your Kindle day last September. It was short and super sweet just wished it was longer and more pages to develop the characters further. I'd only recommend this for people who want to add one more book to their good reads goal.
Esta historia me resultó muy entretenida y fácil de leer. Me gustó la forma en la que se desarrolló y como en tan pocas páginas nos mostró unos personajes realmente carismáticos y adorables.
