Review:
A bittersweet moment to the end of the Beverly Mills Series. I love this series, and I love the characters. Izzy and Gabe's story was a heartbreaking, tear-jerking story. I am a crybaby, especially when I can relate to the story or a character. I cried, laughed, and got upset at times, but I enjoyed the ride. I don't know much about the grief of losing a child or parent. I do know it's best to have your support system next to you in dark times. Izzy and Gabe were right there for each other during those times, especially when they "hated each other." Well, not really.
Izzy is a great example of "even the happy ones fall too." Throughout her life, she felt like she couldn't be sad. She had to show up for people during her tough times. I relate to that.
Gabe is a perfect example of "pushing people away before you get hurt, or, in other words, before they leave you. He keeps quiet and pushes down his feelings to keep people around, but while doing that, he still pushes away the people he loves.
Even someone who has a big heart doesn't mean it is filled with only love. There can be unresolved grief and heartbreak in there as well.
Overall, I love this book. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to read a not-so-happy story that ends with a happy ending. Like Ms. Paola said in the book, "The end is all that matters."
Comes out 10/31/23 on Kindle Unlimited. If you have read Book 1 and Book 2, what are you waiting for??
