"An incredible genre bending story that gets better and better with each installment!" - Joshua Del Toro at Joshuas_Space
THE TRUTH COULD JEOPARDIZE EVERYTHING …
Eden Pruitt didn’t find the enemy. She stumbled upon the Resistance and unwittingly led the military to their doorstep. Because of her, they have been all but demolished. Most are dead. Several more have been imprisoned, along with Cassian Gray, the dangerous, tantalizing boy Eden loves.
As Cassian’s execution draws near, Eden must convince the Resistance to let her join them. They have the same mission, after all. Stop the Monarch before he carries out his evil plans. Step one of that mission—rescue the prisoners. Step two—destroy the Monarch’s army of super-human soldiers. But in convincing them to accept her, Eden's forced to hide who she really is. What she really is . . . one of the soldiers they’re bent on eradicating.
K.E. Ganshert writes romantic speculative fiction filled with high stakes, big emotions, and exciting twists. Her stories feature heroines with gifts they don’t fully understand, emotionally guarded heroes who fall hard for the girl, and dangerous worlds that aren't quite what they seem. Perfect for readers who want to escape into supernatural, dystopian, or fantasy tales—where the romance runs deep, but never explicit.

Oh my goodness! What a thrill ride! This is action-packed right from the start, and the excitement hardly ever lets up. The relentless pace and stressful situations the characters found themselves in had me speeding through the pages as fast as I could.
I was so excited to dive back into this series. It picks up right where the last one left off, so I'd recommend starting with book one. This is not a standalone.
This story takes place in a futuristic version of the United States that, sadly, doesn’t feel all that far away from actually becoming reality. In fact, there were times I forgot I was reading a fictional book because it felt so real.
The ending leaves off on a doozy of a cliffhanger, so I’m very eager to start the next book. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys high-stakes, unputdownable thrillers.
The chances of our main characters getting out of trouble seem to get lower and lower. I really wonder what is being set up for the ending.
One thing I'm very confused about is the timing of the birth of these superkids--seems like each book has given us different information about that. It's been a fun (and wild) ride, but is it going to come together in the end?
Each book in this series gets more and more intense. Like, my word! One of my favorite things to see in a book series is genre blending. We truly see this happening throughout the series. With the first book being more of a mystery novel set in a near future Science Fiction-esque world, and then as the series progresses it really becomes a dystopian story and one of rebellion with secrets and government conspiracies. While still melding other SciFi elements like enhanced humans, futuristic technology, and more, it draws together an incredible story about survival and family. If you haven’t started this series yet please do so!
(Thank you to the author for sending me a review copy! This review is completely and entirely my own. I have been a fan of this series since book one and have loved every moment of this series)
Things are getting intense for our friends here. Prison, assets, secrets, people who can’t be trusted—it keeps piling up. I thought this was a very interesting, fun read. The pacing was great, the characters were great, and the story itself is really coming along. I’m looking forward to how the author wraps everything up in the next book. I will say, though, parts of it felt a little too close to home with our current events. Like, sending the national guard into cities, clearing out “undesirables,” toxic attacks (not too different from tear gassing peaceful protesters or people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time), etc. Like, the whole billionaire-behind-the-scenes with a super correct federal government plot doesn’t feel as far-fetched as it might have a year or two ago.
This is one of my favourites stories, I love K.E. Ganshert's books. Eden's story is one of the most complex, well written and totally viable tale I have ever read. it is packed of adventure, betrayal, love, drama... and all is combined to keep you turning the pages without stoping. I'm glad book 4 is already out since I can't wait to read it. I strongly recommend to go back to book 1 and 2 for a refresh since this book delves immediately in whats happening next. I loved the way all the characters are more developed and changed since the first book. The plot twists are unexpected, but the story flows effortlessly.
Love this series! What an action packed thrill ride and now I have to know what happens next after that cliffhanger. How am I supposed to work and be a responsible adult when Book 4 is out there just waiting to be read?! Do yourself a favor and start with Book 1 of Eden Pruitt. I love all of Gansherts books and can’t wait to dive into book 4 and find out how it all ends!
The adventure continues for Eden, Cassian, Cleo, Barrett & Violet in this book. With some answers coming to light and more questions, twists and turns that arise! Of course it had to end with a cliffhanger! Aargh!
Fantastic series. The writing is really enjoyable. It flows smoothly and I was constantly engaged. I picked up the first book from bookbarbarian and was hooked from very early into the series.
Book 3 in this series did not disappoint…the wait was worth it! K. E. Ganshert is a master at writing unique and engaging (clean!) young adult dystopian-esque fiction.
