◆ Fans of The Selection and Throne of Glass will love this binge-worthy story of cunning fae, enemies to lovers romance, a sprinkling of royal mystery, and deadly secrets.

Stunning and absolutely heartbreaking! My poor heart has been left in tatters, and I can't wait to learn what the next book will entail. My heartstrings are tied in a knot for one of my forever favorite couples. Rion and Amberle are cinnamon rolls that you can't help but adore. As everything contines to be stacked against them, their future looks to be set in stone with swift currents pulling them from each other.
From about 73% in there seemed to be nothing but heartache. The trials continue as eliminations are executed. And foes become friends in the most unlikely circumstances. We also see the loss of yet another contestant, and her role in the Tourney is surprising indeed.
But witnessing the longing between Rion and Amberle is just gutting. I need them to be together like I need my next Milk Dud fix. They would be so perfect together and possibly change the kingdom in the very best of ways. I'm all a flutter at the many theories of just how this unputdownable series will play out.
If clean fantasy romance makes you melt and forbidden love gives you glee, you're going to want to be whisked away into this beautifully built world. It's positively swoony. I really couldn't love it more.

Amberle Kindra’s story continues in Joanna Reeder’s latest novel, “Stealing Fae Hearts and Secrets,” which was another amazing read!
I thought this book was a fantastic sequel for a variety of reasons. Reeder’s writing style is highly addicting; I devoured this book, and I wanted to fall into this world and never leave it.
This book stood out of me because of the shocking plot twists, court politics, and the beautifully written slow burn romance between Rion and Amberle.
I loved the chapters that were from Rion’s POV because I felt like they gave me an insight on his thoughts, actions, and feelings. Rion is such a romantic, and he’s also very charming and swoony.
Amberle was a likable heroine as well; she’s intelligent, sassy, and capable, which means she’s basically the opposite of a damsel in distress. I felt bad for Amberle at times, but I also knew that for the most part, she’s strong enough to handle whatever gets thrown at her.
The ending of this book made me want to scream, but it also made me even more excited to see what happens next! I would definitely recommend this book if you enjoy reading books about the fae, and/or if you loved Kiera Cass’ The Selection series!
I had the pleasure of reading book two Stealing Fae Hearts and Secrets in the Fae Thieves and Crowns series as an ARC and this book was everything I needed and more from this series.
Joanna Reeder has done it again with her gasp worthy scenes, bachelor type tourney for the Prince's heart, a murder mystery and a plot to overthrow the kingdom, with a smidge of romance. In book two we continue where we left off with Amberle spying for the King to see who is fit for his son's heart all while trying to find out who murdered one of her contestant mates and trying not to fall in love with the prince as she is not the one who will win this tourney.
This book was a page turner and I couldn't put it down. I love how it's a fantasy book with romance sprinkled in and no spice but very well written. I am so invested in this story I can't wait for book three to continue this story.
The second in the series of Amberle and Rion's story. Amberle is still in the competition for Rion's heart and the whole of Faerie now know that her and Rion have a past and want to know more. But can she keep to her bargain with the King, keep her secrets and appease the kingdom all whilst keeping her heart?
I have been waiting what feels like forever for this second book and it was well worth the wait. Joanna Reeder has grasped our heart strings with this story line and is forever tugging at our various emotions and giving us hope and taking it away for our two main characters. The twists and turns in this book rival the ACOTAR series. Her writing creates a new world that takes you away from reality and envelopes around you like you are there within the pages. This book is a page turner with its incredible characters and mystery that surrounds them. Be ready to loose your heart to Amberle and Rion and warn your loved ones not to interrupt you until you finish as I can guarantee you won't want to be disturbed.
Tbh I really like the series’s so far, I meet the author at the mall the hard cover of the book caught my attention it looked beautiful so i bought it and so far they have not disappointed, I had to buy the second one and now ama go buy the third one. Tbh when i read a book there are times where i would get bored of the story and put the book down. This book however did the opposite i wanted to know what would happen at the end. I recommend the series. Ps i wanted to hit Amberle in the head to make her realize that she’s worthy of the prince, but it makes sense because she wants to save her father at the end.
There are no words to describe how much I love this series! So many times I wanted to scream to Amberle, “just tell him”!!! You will definitely find yourself a ball of emotions as these women fight to become the winner of the princess tourney. And the ending is nothing like what I expected, one very unexpected thing causing me to feel wrecked. I can’t wait for the next book. I absolutely must have this in hardcover for my library.
I read the e- arc and am leaving my honest opinion regarding this book.
Oh my goodness, where do I even start!? I love this series! It blows The Selection out of the water. I love the relationship between the fae and the star fae, and the political drama thrown in, on top of the prince truly wanting to be with his love. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, and I cannot recommend it more. I love that you truly don’t know what is coming next, and it is so exciting. The world building is excellent, and I hope Joanna Reeder continues to write in it. I am now reading my first Kindle Vella story, so I can go ahead and start the third book!
I think I found this book on a fantasy multi author free book giveaway. The cover caught my eye so I got it. Oh, my! I love these characters and this world. Oh phew! Don’t you just love fae and faerie world and all the uncertainties 😁 reading this book got me squealing with anticipation and really pushing for Amberle and Prince Rion to make it together! A beautifully written story that will delight everyone. Amberle wants to win Prince Rion’s heart. Will she accomplish this and keep her secret at the same time. Not to be missed. Can’t wait for the next one.
Took a while to get started plot wise but once it did I finished it within a day! The excitement never lulled enough for me to be able to put it down. I really need the next one as there's so much I want to know and scenes I need to read!
Great story with plenty of action and twists to keep you interested. Amberle is a great main character who can take care of herself and I love seeing how well she handles herself.
