I was so looking forward to Nadia's story, as the ending of Disruption left me heartbroken and yearning for more! I felt for Nadia as her grief began to overtake her life. If it weren't for her children, she may not survive this. Now, lil King is what almost pushed me over the edge! That young man is so smart, and in tune with people and his emotions to be so young. Reading about him pushing through his grief to be there for his mom and sister, was almost unbearable. 💔
I don't know how to feel about Delorean. I understand he had some ish going on, but the way he left Nadia was foul. No note, or message through a friend, nothing! When Nadia bumps into him, she didn't have the fire and anger that one would think she should, after how she was treated by this man! She said that he left her broken, but she seemed to just fall into a groove with him, because he was familiar. I didn't feel a genuine connection between them.
I loved how therapy was displayed, the time and effort Mr. and Mrs. Locue put into helping heal Nadia and lil King. Delorean's boy Pierre, why didn't he tell him about the bounty? It's like he left his boy out to dry! 🤬 When it was time for Nadia to fess up about her relationship with Delorean, I was expecting a heart to heart, or a bit of push back with Chozyn. The way Chozyn was so close to her brother, I thought Nadia would have spent a little time and talk to her about Delorean. Tell her how she was feeling, let her know that she was ready to move on, and why she kept him a secret.
I'm happy to see the Brown family on the mend and finding happiness again. Now, Boss done gone and messed up his good thang! Will RaQuel really leave? I knew this read would be different, due to the subject matter that needed to be discussed and resolved. However, the story just didn't pull me in, and have me invested in it like I had hoped.
